Dare Dave's does an excellent job every time!! They are always able to get my vehicle in and have a very quick turnaround on repairs. Their prices are respectful and they have a very warm inviting family environment. They go above and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend if you are looking for good quality honest automotive repairs.

I was visiting a friend who lives in West Chester (I live about 40 minutes away). My battery in my car died, and this was almost 5:30 at night when I needed help. I called Dave's, they were about to close, but guess what...they came out right away, jump started my car, and didn't even charge me! Wow!!! I got home and the next day my regular mechanic put in a new battery, but I told myself I was going to write Dave's a good review! The trouble they got me out of that night was a lot! If I lived in West Chester, I'd be going to Dave's to get my car services done! Thanks Dave's!

Sold me a vehicle above kelly blue book. Immediately after purchase check engine lights came on. They were cleared and not fixed. Found out the hard way the door speakers and spare tire were removed. A/C, heater, volume also don t work properly. None of these things were brought to my attention And a year later the starter and transmission failed. Would not recommend!

The most underhanded and untrustworthy repair in the area. I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemies honestly. The experience I had here spanned multiple issues and "solutions" which ended in thousands of dollars of "repairs" that then brought about a blown head gasket and a ruined vehicle. Their behavior is unethical, greedy and predatory.

This entire experience was a pleasure! Very easy to get an appointment, and I especially appreciate the Saturday hours as it is difficult for me to get my car in on a weekday. The service is efficient, and reliable. The staff is professional and friendly. Just the best. Honest, down to earth, genuinely happy to help you in the most reasonable and respectful way possible. There is a difference between business owners who are motivated by money and business owners who are motivated by producing a high quality product or service for their customers, and dare is absolutely the latter. I had an issue while away for the weekend and had my car towed to a local dealerThey did what was necessary to get me home safely. There were other issues that I had DARE look at. They are always pleasant, helpful and explain what's needed. A pleasure to work with!

The team at DARE always go above and beyond for all my automotive needs and on top of that they treat you like family. I highly recommend bringing your car to them for service! Their partner company Jonathans Auto Outlet has also been a huge help in consigning both my friends and I's vehicles (Volkswagen Jetta and Subaru Forester). They got our cars sold quick, easy, and at a fair price. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience. I bought a used car nearby and they inspected it promptly and for a reasonable price. They actually pick up the phone which is now a rarity. A real pleasure and I d say top notch!

My family have been using DARE for 35 years. They are the best! They have the ability to make sure that the customers needs always come first.They are extremely diversified as they do auto mechanical work, body work and have an outstanding component called Jonathan s Auto Outlet. The outlet simply is stocked very well with cars. I have purchased, sold to Dare and sold on consignment with the auto outlet several times. Each time has been a pleasure. Always the best experience when working with Dare Automotive. So much easier to work with than the dealership. They sourced parts quickly and as cheaply as possible. they deliver when they say they will at very fare prices. I highly recommend this family owned and operated business.

Put an engine in one of my cars and have kept going back to them ever since. Quality work. I'll never go to another auto repair shop. They earned their reputation as one of the best shops in West Chester.

Really can't recommend this garage enough. I have been to various other mechanics over the years, but DARE is hands down the best mechanics in the West Chester area and is the only garage I will trust with my cars after past experiences.I recently had an ongoing cam phaser issue in my 2010 Scion tC with a rebuilt engine. JT and Jonathan were more than helpful with diagnosing and being willing to assist dealing with the warranty company even if necessary.The extra steps they are willing to take to make sure your car is back on the road and running properly really speaks to the fact that the quality of work and customer service is unmatched.Services: Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing, Oil change

This is the only place in town that can accommodate our family van, and thank goodness! They re friendly, helpful, good at explaining what s going on, thorough, and honest. They always run through everything and ask permission to do the work before they proceed. They also service my husband s car and they ve been consistently good with everything as mundane as inspections and oil changes, to big repairs that can otherwise feel intimidating. What a freaking God-send. Seriously, I can't say enough about this place. They took such amazing care of me and my car. Both of us lol. My Acura broke down 45 min from my house. I needed to bring her some place near, meaning I would have to go to a shop i didn't know anything about. On a strict budget, they took great care to always update me on every step, get approval of the price before doing the work, even diagnosed all the issues and were super honest about everything. I went with Dave's after a less than satisfactory experience with a repair shop recommended by my insurance company. Not pleased with them, I decided to do my own research online; with that, the local repair shop that stood out (for consumer satisfaction, quality of work, price, etc.) was Dave"s and their reviews so exceeded anyone else's, that I looked no further. They did not disappoint. They are honest, competent, very consumer friendly (thank you!) and helpful. They will be my "go-to" place for any future car work and I will recommend them to anyone

My husband and I have done small and large repairs with John and his wonderful family at DARE for almost 10 years, and their service and dedicated adherence to the customer's high level of satisfaction is second to none. We have also purchased two cars from John at DARE, and each car was completely perfect, from its engine to its exterior to its driving performance! John and all of his mechanics actually care about the happiness of every single customer that walks into their doors!!! If we lived 50 miles away from his company, we would still use DARE for ALL of our car repairs, and car purchases because DARE is the best auto repair and auto sales business in the entire state of Pennsylvania!!!! John is a caring, honest man who treats everyone like family, and always puts the customer's needs and concerns first!!!! He is the best, and so is everyone at DARE!!!

As we all know, it's hard to find a dependable and honest mechanic shop. Dave's is an exception with their honest, family-owned staff that works very hard to see as many customers happy as possible. This sounds like a paid review, but I am just a happy customer who's finally found a good shop. Their rates are a little higher than other shops but for the honesty, quick service, and no BS - it's worth it!

Genuinely great people and a genuinely great experience. I've been driving for almost 5 years now and it's the first time I haven't worried about being swindle or overcharged by a mechanic other than my usual. They are very good with making sure the work gets done properly and making sure I was taken care of. I feel confident that my car will be fine and I won't be overacharged.

I hadn't owned a car in 25 years as I always lived in cities before moving here, and I wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal on a used car with the limited budget I had. Even though I had to pay for "Dave's" to thoroughly evaluate each of the two cars I was thinking of buying, it was $ well spent as they did a great job informing me in easy-to-undertand terms the pros & cons of each, and then recommending preventative service options (which I had them complete) for what has proved to be a reliable vehicle since. When they later on replaced my windshield (darn that flying gravel!) and the replacement had a very small but perceptible defect, they then considerately replaced it again free of charge -- it was a level of integrity I didn't expect, and it will keep me coming back.

I have been to Dave's Automotive Repair a few times to get my car serviced. They took care of my car issues right the first time. I also done my PA car state inspection with them. Since they are always busy, it usually takes most of the day to get my car serviced. They offer a free shuttle service if you plan on leaving your car at the shop. With the coupons that they have, the prices are good compared to the dealership. The people are the shop are friendly.
