My family recently bought and have a jeep modified by Hauk Design, located in Chambersburg PA. Everything seems nice as first and we established a pay as we go agreement when we wired the balances to them every time they got something new fitted as we requested that they build us the ultimate off-road Wrangler. However, because we lived out of country, we were not able to check out the car and was only able to see the product after it got delivered. Furthermore, they asked for even more money for "labor" that wasn't specified when we discussed the pricing(which already included labor costs) and had already wired to them. Although these issues were disappointing, the worst experience of this purchase was when my uncle finally received his jeep. These were all the issues that were diagnosed by a car repair shop in Taiwan after only two days since taking delivery. To begin, he was expecting to receive two sets of keys for his car, but instead he only got one set. In addition to this issue, the engine would also unexpectedly cut out while driving and sometimes would not start back up. There was also problems with the transmission as it sometimes took four to five seconds before the car would engage drive after it had been selected. The coil-over shocks behind the passengers also had collapsed, causing the car to slant to one side. The steering assist systems were not installed appropriately, causing the steering assist shocks to be damaged. The hoses for the air conditioning were not installed correctly, causing leaks to the compressor and ultimately causing it to break. The base of the track bar was not welded properly, causing the driveshaft to deform after hit the engine. The reservoir for the on board compressor was installed in an awkward position, causing the rear drive shaft to deform after it made contact with the reservoir tank unit. The Bump stock was broken. The wires around the exhaust pipes were not insulated thoroughly, causing them to melt under the heat. The Ecu unit was mounted too closely to the intake manifold, causing them to collide due to vibration from the engine, which ended up with the ecu base being sheared apart. The fuel line is too close to the exhaust pipes, making it very likely to develop a catastrophic fire hazard. Lastly, the tires and rims do not match the description; the rims that came are not the 17 inch RT231 ST Monster Cast Beadlocks.Being extremely disappointed, I tried emailing their customer service as well as making phone calls to the owner Kenny, but to no avail as they had cut off any communication with us after the car has been delivered. I have currently submitted a complaint to the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. What additional actions can I take to make sure that this firm received the repercussions that they deserve? This defective and expensive Jeep has become a liability and is currently not running after only TWO DAYS of careful and frustrating on road use.

In February 2019 I approached Hauk for service on my Jeep - specifically the purchase and installation of new double cardan driveshafts. The factory CV-based shafts were incapable of operating at the increased angles a newly installed lift demands.Instead, of pursuing the requested path Hauk self-initiated a replacement of many fluids, installed rear lower control arms, and also a front pinion bearing. As one may have expected none of the work performed resolved the primary complaint - which was the quickly deteriorating factory driveshafts demonstrating an audible clicking noise as the vehicle moved forward. When confronted with the failed outcome an offer to replace transmission fluid was made and accepted. That measure had no influence on the situation at hand. The last recourse suggested was my own purchase of an entirely new transmission which was clearly unnecessary and politely declined.**In full transparency this experience alone would not warrant such a poor review. While disappointing, the work performed did need done at some point (at least that is how I rationalized the full payment made on the invoice). I was resigned to leave this situation outside the realm of Internet scrutiny until now.**While I had successfully used my lockers before my February 2019 visit I did not use them again until July 2019. In July I noted that while engaged the dashboard's front locker indicator malfunctioned. That did not make sense to me until now.Today, after removing the carrier and inspecting the sensor (see attached) it was clear that the 'mushroom' was purposefully and unnecessarily cut. The only plausible explanation is that Hauk destroyed the sensor because their resources were unaware of the technique to properly reassemble the differential following the pinion bearing's replacement. Given the shop's purported off-road expertise this finding is simply inexcusable. My hope is that the service department has made adjustments for the better since my original visit February 2019. The off-road community needs all of the trustworthy experts as it can muster and I've found them elsewhere.

I have spent a good deal of money with Hauk Offroad to build my ideal offroad rig. This review is on parts only as I have not been into their shop for service.I ordered their Predator series front and rear bumpers with all the accessories (tire carrier, grill bar, camera/LP relocate, etc), full skid plate system with skins, and fenders with skins. My experience leaves me very disappointed. I placed the order August 28, 2018 and as of yesterday I just received the bumpers (6 months wait time). I recieved the skid system first (I think around Decmber but I can't remember exactly when.) I have yet to receive the fenders. I love the design of the parts otherwise I would have cancelled my order months ago.The quality of the parts received are a bit lacking. When I pay a premium price, I expect a premium product. That is not what I recieved. When I got my skid system, the skins were either missing screws or they were loose. Several mounting brackets had surface rust underneath the powder coat. Since the metal was rusted the powder coat didn't stick and was immideately peeling off. To Hauk's credit, they sent out replacement parts in a very timely fashion which were pristine but this was still an inconvenience. The installation instructions seemed to have had more thought placed in trying to be funny than having quality instructions and weren't very helpful.Yesterday I unboxed one of my bumpers. The packaging for both the skid system and bumpers were high quality and adequately secured for transportation. I was quite annoyed to find a gouge in the metal on the inside of the bumper. This is on the inside of the bumper so no one will see it and it doesn't harm the integrity of the bumper but again, I'm expecting premium quality.Today I'm having them installed by a local shop since there is quite a bit of work to be done and no instructions were sent with them. I get a call from the shop saying Hauk forgot to send the mounting kit for the backup sensors. Again, to Hauk's credit, they are sending out the missing parts in a very timely fashion.I'm still not finished dealing with this order as my fenders are still being worked on so I'll update this review if anything changes but I can honestly say, I will be avoiding doing business with Hauk in the future unless things change.10/10 for design.1/10 for execution.I really want Hauk to do better. I think they have an amazing design that others should enjoy! I hope they resolve the issues with speed and quality. Hopefully others have better results.Edit: I appreciate Hauk's reply to my review. I'm glad they are taking the criticism to heart and I hope for positive changes for future customers. Maybe in a few months I'll order another product.

I sent them this letter 3 weeks ago and so far no response. Their customer service and product leaves a lot to be desired. Will not be recommending them to anyone. To Whom It May Concern:I am writing to you to let you know I am very disappointed in my full rear aluminum corners that cost me $1615 for my 2012 JK. I ordered these on 6/23/2018, and never received any order confirmation from your company. I called on 6/29/2018 and spoke with Sarai, she informed me there must have been a glitch on the website. She put me in touch with Vianna who got my order started. The order shipped on 9/29/2018.Due to my commitments with my Jeep club and numerous events I was unable to get them installed until now. Thankfully I sent the project to John Hendrix at Flo Built Conversions. The corners do not fit properly and are going to have to be cut and welded to fit. This is going to add extra time, labor and cost to me. It is very sad that I have had to deal with this when it should have been a bolt on project with small modifications. If I would have tried to install these myself I would of had a major mess on my hands that I could not fix. This Jeep was supposed to be in the 4 Wheel Parts Truckfest show in Orlando on Aug 17-18, 2019, but do to this issue it will not be ready in time. Please see attached pictures.Frank Rainesimage5.jpegimage4.jpegimage3.jpegimage2.jpegimage1.jpeg Sent from my iPhone

Waynesboro location has turned a two-way street in a nice neighborhood into a one-way Street industrial park. The forklift drivers do not yield to cars they will sit in the middle of the road for as long as they need to. Employees always standing around smoking. Menace to the neighborhood.

I attended the annual jeep show in York Pennsylvania and won what i thought were specifically these bolt on rock sliders for my 2014 jeep jk 2 door. The instructions were included and referenced theses rails. No where was it stated that these were a different kit. I even contacted the company for tips and information on the install referencing where i obtained them, my vehicle information and if they would be a good fit. At no point was it brought up that they were a build kit that a later learned existed. After having them powder coated and ready to install i found that they are a different kit all together. I reached out to haukoffroad after finding this out and unfortunately did not receive the assistance as i hoped but instead was offered by them to cut and modify and install for a very expensive price. I questioned if there was a template or dimensions and was told no. So now i'm stuck with a prize that is paper weight. Be cautious when ordering and or purchasing these rails or you maybe in a nightmare. Was really looking forward to installing these. I have always seen such cool things with haukoffroad.
