I've always found what I need and the store is well stocked and clean. Chris S. was very helpful today and we had a brief conversation on a particular engine that I happened to have in my vehicle and he provided some extra info on it as I was going to perform an oil change on it.Good peeps with a fair amount of automotive skill and knowledge to help get the customers task completed.

Pat at this store is an idiot. He had issue finding the prior customers phone number, then refused to sell me glass cleaner because I didn t want to provide a phone number. I don t have an account there so why the need for a phone number? Stay away, go somewhere else! Go where your business is valued.

Poor service. There's a huge staff turnover. The new hires have a very minimal knowledge base and thus cannot answer any customer questions. You can't be like Lowes in terms of hiring

This place is unbelievable if you can go anywhere else PLEASE GO DO NOT COME HERE I was in here today, 4 employees are just looking at me while I am waiting to be helped NOT UNTIL I ASKED IF SOMEONE COULD HELP they came to assist the fact that I have to even ask for someone to even talk to is beyond belief I will rather spend $1000 at a dealership then ever come into this store ever again YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE HORRIBLE ANS HAVE NO MANNERS WHAT SO EVER IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE SCORE I WOULD right next door to advanced auto parts is AUTOZONE where people are friendly and will ask if you need any assistance and also AUTOZONE IS 35% cheaper then these ugh I wanna call them all kinds of names but that is not me !!! Please AUTOZONE over these idiots any time any day even dealership over them

After spending almost $500 at this store, we asked for them to install the new battery. Unfortunately, Pat wanted to do anything but his job. He was miserable the entire time, and when asked to clean the battery terminals, he argued about it. He made us clean it ourselves with the tool that was sitting on his cart. He also had an attitude every time a question was asked. Heaven forbid we asked him to do his job. If you want the worst customer experience, ask for Pat!

I feel like I have been robbed!Sold me an AC hose and cans of refrigerant, they refused to refund me after three trips there and back, and an exchange of the ac hose. The defective design of the auto-craft tool and weak construction of the cans destroyed the interface on the cans making them unusable. Now I am out $40 and have to go somewhere to pay for disposal of the new refrigerant if I corporate to give me a refund. Family will not be buying there again. They will not refund me for the tool or the cans.

I normally always find what I need when I go to advanced. I got a new car to me recently and the oil filter is an odd ball. The gentleman whom helped me said I don't have it in stock but I can bring it in and have it here at 1230. That to me was FANTASTIC customer service. He could have said sorry I just don't have any but he went a little further for me and found and had brought in the filter I needed. Highly recommend advanced auto to anyone.

Fast and helpful service. I went in for a sparkplug for my lawnmower and some tools. I immediately got the plug I needed from behind the counter and was shown the various tools and prices available on the floor. Not at all pushy. As someone not very mechanically inclined, I appreciated the help.

Charles, who was working Christmas Eve day, was super helpful and friendly. My battery died, and I had to get a jump and find a replacement battery. I tried two other shops, who couldn't help me, because they were closing early or didn't have a battery for my vehicle. The lady at Firestone suggested your store, but said to hurry, since you were closing at four. I got there at 3:30, and Charles tested my battery, sold me a new one and installed it very quickly. Thank you for the excellent service!

Most unpleasant experience with a member of Advance Auto staff. I frequently place online orders for my husband's cars. Have never had an issue with him going in and picking it up. Needed oil while on a trip and put in my order to make things easier. My husband was told that my ID would be required or the last 4 of the order number. He didn't have his phone on him to get the order number so I had to go in to show my ID. Even though he was able to tell employee my name and the product that was purchased. Much prefer the stores at home in Ohio.

I was able to purchase my van's battery online, but they refused to install it in-store, despite the website saying free battery installation at most stores. I would have purchased my batteries elsewhere had I known, there was no indication online that they would not install the battery. Visiting from out-of-state and don't have the tools handy to complete this task.

Went in for battery test & replacement. The associate helping me was courteous & knowledgeable. The staff inside was quick to offer help which I declined as I was already attended to. This location got pretty busy so I did a bit of the replacement work myself. And their batteries are priced a bit higher than, say, Walmart. A comparable battery to the one I purchased would have been about $40 less. Overall a good experience thanks to the employees! Pros:-friendly staff-prompt attentionCons:-high prices-can get busy, leading to longer waits

I usually have a good experiance as far as advanced is concerned, it's my go to for pretty much everything. My last trip was to get a battery for my dad's car and the sales associate wasn't very helpful at all. First we waited about 5 minutes before being acknowledged by the staff, and then they answered the phones before talking to in store customers. He kept repeating that they didn't have a battery in stock and wouldn't check to see if other stores had it. We ended up settling for a lesser battery than what we wanted. I was happier with the old staff that's usually present when I shopped before.

I needed an alternator tested, I called ahead and then stopped by to have Charlie put it on the bench tester. He was very courteous and eager to offer any assistance.All together, I left with the parts I needed and the customer service was delightful.

(Edited since Advance replied)I used to love going here. Then as of 4/5/2021 I was told by the store manager that I was required to wear a mask. No thanks this is a free country I don't care what the store policy is. Go next door to Autozone where they don't make the workers or customers wear mask. Keep your freedoms above all else besides God.CDC guidelines are not laws. There are no laws that have been signed into effect requiring one to wear a mask. I don't care if people wear mask, that is their choice. No one should be forced to wear one to go into any store.

Brian was extremely helpful and helped us out a lot! He found exactly what we needed and even took his own time to properly install everything and made sure everything was perfect! 10/10 would drop back if I need anything on the go while in Carlisle area!

You should know you are getting a review for today's experience...had an alternator supposedly covered under a limited lifetime replacement with bad bearings, whining at high rpms after about 10 min on the road. Employee "tested" it and said it sounded "fine", like a "normal" alternator. What a joke, you could hear the sqeaking just turning it by hand. So you don't honor your warranty but I just had the exact problem with a carquest alternator for my explorer, took it to the Dillsburg store and they provided top notch customer service an returned it under warranty.

My family and I have been using this place for a long time now and I have never had a problem. The staff has always been very helpful and kind. Maybe a year ago we bought break pads and rotors from here to replace my sister-in-laws breaks. Never realizing until this years inspection they did not give us the correct breaks. We went back in and explained to them and the guy told us the manager was not in and that he left at 5. So we asked him to look up the correct breaks we are supposed to get. Once again they told us the same exact breaks we bought previously. We called our technician that does our breaks and he explained that they are not correct and they will not pass inspection. This is the second time we have had them look at the breaks. Being quite confused we were trying to find answers. So the other guy working named Andrew came over and asked what the problem was; saying they re both managers and they can t help us with anything, with an extremely rude attitude. When they previously said the manager wasn t there. We called my brother in law and he explain last year they gave him the wrong breaks in the correct box. So we bought the correct pair to try and compare them with the old ones to see if indeed they did put the wrong breaks in the box. My husband works for Faulkner and asked to use his discount. Instead of explaining to us that we needed to go to Mechanicsburg advanced auto instead of Carlisle he got even more snappy and tried to type in a company that my husband doesn t even work for so at the end of the day my husband would get in trouble for stealing a discount from a company he doesn t work for. After a few minutes of argumentative statements and raised voices from Andrew acting like he wanted to fight my husband, we walked out. He continued to stare us down, out the window as we drove off. I will never use this store again. If you want lied to, stolen from and taken advantage of shop at this store.We now just went to a different store and they have two different sizes for our car which no one seemed to be able to realize in the Carlisle advanced auto. So now that it has been past 45 days, we are screwed out of our money because they neglected to do their job.Just tried to call corporate and no one would answer the phone. I called 3 times and pressed star for customer and the call went no where.
