There are a lot of good mechanics out there but honesty and affordability are a completely different matter. Kings Auto Repair is a local family business that delivers on all three. This is my new go-to shop.

Great service and excellent communication! I went in for an oil change and to have some tires mounted and the Garys did a fantastic job. I appreciated their friendly conversation and will be returning for future maintenance needs!

Gary King and his son Gary run a wonderful neighborhood repair shop. They will take care of you. Never will they recommend a service that you don t need. Fairly priced. Excellent work.

After getting an outrageous quote from Midas in Haverford for work that was not needed, I went to Kings. Kings did what was needed for very reasonable cost. I will be bringing my cars to kings from here on forward.

Talk about excellent customer service! I was in the area due to a work conference and noticed a nail in my tire. My situation was rather urgent, since I knew I was looking at a 4hr+ commute back home, plus had to get there in time to pick up my infant. I had previously stopped at two other places that shut me down in an instance without even looking at my tire, I ended up at Kings Auto Repair and I couldn t have been luckier.The staff was super friendly, without any hesitation someone looked at my tire and fixed it within minutes.Thanks to Kings Auto, I was able to not only get back in time but also safe.I can t thank them enough and if your in the area I would highly recommend this place!

I had previously stopped at Hell auto place in ardmore for the state inspection, in which they were poking around for problems to get more money!!There is nothing wrong with my car.... To prove it, I took my car the next day to my usual mechanic, at Kings Auto Repair and I couldn t have been luckier.Ed and the staff have been always honest and friendly. He said that nothing wrong on the vehicle and gave me the other sticker.Thanks to Kings Auto, I was able to not only get maintained my car but also feel safe.I can t thank them enough. Be Careful they are a bunch of Scammers !!They will claim your parts are bad just to replace them and wouldn't even fix the problem just to keep charging you, go somewhere else and save your self the time and money, I'm sure the people who left good reviews don't know about cars, they are taking advantage of you Hope you get sued !!

Gary (don't know which one) was accommodating to get my daughter's car in for service this week. Service was prompt, price was fair and I feel confident that they were honest in their diagnosis. So good to have a local shop to go to as opposed to a dealer. Thank you

I have been going to Kings for 21 years. They are straight forward, honest and very reasonable. I trust their advice and I trust their work. I have owned American, Japanese and German cars. They serviced them all. I trust Gary so much, when I was buying a new car, I was torn between two models, both recommended by Consumer Reports. I asked Gary, if he was me, which one would he buy. I took his advice and 6 years later that car has only needed standard maintenance and no major repairs. I cannot think of a better place to have your car serviced.

Gary runs a great business. Took my car in asking for a few services that ended up being unnecessary - rather than taking advantage (as many mechanics would in my experience), they gave me a call and told me what wasn t needed based on their expertise. Charged a fair price for labor. 5/5!

Our family has used King's Service for 43 years and we can recommend them without hesitation. We have rarely had to take our cars to dealers since King's has been able to fulfill almost all our needs. They are reliable and honest and treat their customers with respect, listening to our problems and then finding solutions. They warn us ahead of time when they see a future problem and suggest that we either watch out for a problem or else take care of it right away if it is serious. I can recommend them without hesitation.

These guys at Kings Auto are great. Fair prices, prompt and competent work. I've been a steady customer for over 5 years, with two cars, and never had a complaint. (I totally don't understand the negatives mentioned by one other reviewer here.)

I had Kings do an inspection on my car. It was very much overdue due to C-19 restrictions. They were friendly, worked quickly and there was no attempt at "up-selling" [So often, mechanics use state inspections to sell tires or unnecessary procedures (brake jobs, etc) that are pure profit-makers for the garage.] None of that here. Quick, friendly, and reasonably priced. Exactly what one wants from their mechanics.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Very trustworthy, kind, and honest. In the past I would handle my own repairs, but these days I don't have the time. I've been taking my Honda here for a few years and I'm very pleased with their work.

Mr. King told me honestly that he would not recommend the repair of my car because the car had 170 thousand miles, it was all rusted underneath and it would cost more than the value of the car. I appreciated his honesty. The best value in auto-repair shop is trust. I recommend their service.

I just need to make sure I leave this honest review now. Over a year ago my dad took my car into Kings to have the battery replaced. Fast forward to today, a day where everything seems to be going wrong, I go to get a slice of pizza and my battery dies. As my husband tries to jump my battery we see that there is a 30 month warranty on the battery. I was able to get home but then the car wouldn't start after I parked it. It's 4:22 on a Friday and Kings Auto closes at 5pm. I called and spoke to a gentleman named Gary and he explained how they close at 5 and are open on Monday.As I'm trying not to just breakdown on the phone to this guy, I tell him I would try to jump my car again and get there (speed there lol). I called my husband who was on his way into Bryn Mawr for work and he called Gary back and asked if he could just pick up a new battery and drop off my old one on Monday so we wouldn't be without a vehicle (my husband is also a mechanic thank God).Well, he's now outside our home putting in my brand new battery from Kings *** and I actually just heard my car start up!I can't thank Kings and Gary for literally saving me from a nervous breakdown. From having a really bad day, to my car breaking down, I think Gary could sense over the phone how upset I was and I can't thank you enough for making this all happen A HALF HOUR before they close and leave for the weekend.Good service and even better people. Thank you so much.

I have had King Auto work on my Toyota minivan for the past 5 years. They are incredibly honest with their estimates and their advice, and they stand by their work. I am shopping for a second car at the moment, and they will be doing the work on it. I recommend them highly.

My experience with this shop was amazing! I was provided with outstanding customer service, and they were extremely flexible with my schedule (I work in 2 hospitals and my schedule is constantly changing by the hour). I highly recommend.

We've always had superior service from King's. The needed work has been done expertly with completion as promised. Pricing has been very fair, and unnecessary work has never been an issue. It's been a pleasure dealing dealing with them.
