They took care of me quickly and efficiently!!! From start to finish they were so kind, informative and just over all some of the best auto customer service I have ever experienced. It was worth every penny to know that my car was well taken care of and treated like it was their own. Even with my car being older Dave was able to find parts and even create some of his own auto magic to put my 00s car right again. I look forward to inspection time for what new travels my oldie will take us through. I have all the confidence that Dave and his staff will not only do everything they can to keep her running, but will also be 100% honest with me when it s time to put her to pasture. As a single mom of three it s hard to find a place you can trust or treat you like you deserve. Dave s is definitely a place to look if you want honest work for an honest price.

I contacted Dave's Auto on a Friday to have my brake system inspected for an issue I had noticed. The positive part of my experience with them was they got my car in quickly on Monday, and they texted me after the service multiple times to check in. So responsiveness and communication were very good. Now for the bad, they inspected the system and found no leaks everything seemed to be fine. They bled the system for air and rotated my tires per my request. However, since then ( a few days later) the issue has returned. Also, while they had my car they recommended that I replace my lug nuts because they swelled and were damaged. They offered to replace the lug nuts for $7.99 a piece to which I declined. I went to the auto parts store and bought lugs nuts for $3.99 a piece. I explained that I just had tires put on my car at another shop and they had no issues with my lug nuts and I knew from looking at my new tires and checking my brakes myself that my old lug nuts were perfectly fine and that they were damaged at Dave's. Dave's Auto said that my lug nuts were damaged before and had nothing else to say or even try to make it right. I know this was not the case. So I paid nearly $300 for a service and I still have the issue and I had to replace my lug nuts. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.Service: Brakes

Allow me to share a little bit of my life with you here. I have had HORRIBLE experiences with cars. The exhaust rusting into the AC/Heating system; the car plain old losing electricity going downhill and losing the ability to brake; the frame of the vehicle disintegrating away due to rust; the ABS system randomly locking up while on the ramp from 78 to 33; multiple misfires in the engine causing the car to lurch forward; the drive shaft shooting through the transmission (call the Mavis Tires in East Stroudsburg if you don't believe that one); I've driven to car shops to drop one off while picking another up in the same visit. I've been to my fair share of garages.And I just found the best one, hands-down. The heat in my Buick stopped working, and the dashboard suddenly flashed an "ENGINE OVERHEATING" message. Not ideal. I was thankfully able to drop it off right away AND they happened to have a loaner available. They kept me up to date with what was wrong, sent me a video update showing me the issue (water pump leaked, coolant everywhere, and a nest of some kind in my air vent), detailed the costs (which were beyond fair), and told me what discounts were available. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and knowledgeable. This is THE place to go

Dave s communication during my service was great! They were very thorough and also very thoughtful of my time. They cared enough to follow up a few days after the service to see how everything was. This is extraordinary for service centers these days! I m very pleased! The service representative Rachel is Awesome!

Took car with bad wheel bearing. Dave s sent a video text to show me what was wrong and also with difrrent options on the expensive of repair. They also informed me that they have easy financing available. Great place to go had car back in a day. Customer service was happy and polite and easy to u deans no hidden games of crap got a thankyou card in mail with a 20$ Dave s discount on next service would highly recommend to the next person. They gained a customer as long as I need them for.

Avoid this place at all costs. Whatever they can do to charge you as much as they can they will. We brought a 2014 Nissan Versa in for an inspection and the told us that the total cost to fix everything was almost $1800. Their inspection and emissions pass or fail is $91.50 and they charged $63.43 for an oil change that we didn't give them permission to do. They also said we needed brake pads and rotors ($552.47) they cost $100 and front lower control arms ($705.80) they cost $70. Not sure what they are adding for labor but at those prices they are borderline robbing people . Please don't make the same mistake and go there you'd be better of going anywhere else.

I have used Dave s several times.Each time Dave s staff has been friendly and professional. They always call to give updates on their findings and to confirm all changes before anything is done.Highly recommend to anyone who's looking to get their car serviced!

First time using Dave s Auto for inspection and was very impressed. Got an appointment the next day and was given a video of the repairs that needed fixing. I would definitely recommend Dave s Auto to anybody that s looking for a new mechanic.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews and will never be returning!!!Took an old car there, cost $690 for inspection and three months later it was back in for just shy of $1900 for work that had already been done at another shop (little did we know until it was too late; however the work done at the other shop was a THIRD of the price!) We had codes come on less than 2,000 miles later and when we took it back to them, they couldn t even look us in the eye to have a conversation and it was only after mentioning the flat rate (labor rate) book then they gave us an estimate on what it would cost for what the check engine light was on for. (Also charged for the check engine light to be scanned, so if you need this, go to Advance Auto Parts, they ll do it for free).I called for an estimate on the sway bar links to be replaced just for more frustrating giggles and it was $350, while the DEALERSHIP was asking only $210.Prices are extremely high and they have a chip on their shoulders like they are too good for others. Shame on you for treating people so poorly and doing business like that.Response to their reply:The codes were the same, they just wanted to recheck them for a charge. I would have been charged twice, so I m not sure how you take the stance that you don t charge. Also, John Johnson III was the gentleman who quoted me for the sway bar links, I will attach a picture. The arrogance is just as high as the bill. And paying my bills is never a problem, some of us will pay whatever if it s worth it; your business certainly is NOT worth it!!

I went to David s under the advise of a friend and I was not disappointed. He took the time to explain to me what was wrong until I understood. When I left I felt confident my vehicle was safe. Being a single female and getting auto repairs can be overwhelming but thank you Dave and his team of people making me feel like it s not so bad. Took my Miata in for inspection. The staff was very nice and quick with inspection and advised me on the condition of my car. I was very happy with the ability to take care of me the next day and pick up was fast! They answered all my questions and even gave me a nice little slip for my inspection papers which I appreciated because my old one was all ripped and torn. If you are local and looking for a good place to get your car inspected the service was great, efficient, and an overall good experience.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I have used this place before with no issues previously. However, this last visit has turned me away from the business for good. Came in for an inspection and was told control arms, bushings, and sway bar end links needed to be replaced. Total cost would have been 1,300. Took my car to another local inspection station and passed no problems. I was also told at last years inspection that the serpentine belt would need to be replaced soon. However, no mention of it during this inspection. Seems like fishing for unnecessary repairs.Response to owner:At no point in time were pictures offered to us. That is just simply not true. You may have taken them, but nothing was offered to us. Do not lie.Also, you are right about the brakes, they were low but good enough to pass last year. I replaced them as they should have been. I am capable of doing that myself.Also, budget is not an issue. It is about honest quote which I don't think was provided. I'm glad you do.You are also correct about it only being our second time there. Twice was enough.

I have been taking my car and truck to Dave s for years now. They are always up front with services that are needed. My goal is to maintain both my vehicles for as long as I can and they are the shop that I trust to make it happen. They always stand by their word and more importantly their work.

Daves auto service was a great experience. It was my first time using them after hearing good information and checking out their good reviews. The next day service was surprising. They are strait forward and very informative with there duties. Called after they checking out my truck and discussed any problems they found as well as any issues that my be a issue in the future. I found that Dave was a very sincere and thorough mechanic and very communicative about what the potential problem was and showed me exactly what he thought it. It is refreshing to find an auto repair service that has the mechanical expertise to tackle ANY problem, the moral compass not to try to rip their customers off, and the customer service that is second to none. Positive experience with Dave s. Scheduled a safety inspection last minute and was accommodated within the week. Scheduling an appointment was simple and they were flexible with payment/pickup around my work schedule. Service advice was sound and vehicle was returned to me as I left it.
