Oh my GOSH! Corey was so good when he came to tow my car! He was very professional, knowledgeable, kind and patient despite the circumstances in this cold, cruel and windy winter weather! If you ever call Robert's automotive you'd better hope you get Corey as your man! I've dealt with Robert's Automotive several times and it's a pretty good company with different experiences with different drivers each time and Corey, by far, was/is the BEST! Blessings to Corey!

Called for our son's car as he goes to Bloomsburg U.Schedule to get a starter replaced and ended up just needing the plug fixed. They could've changed out the starter anyway but chose to save my son the expense. They were honest and great to deal with on the phone. Nice to know there are still honest places out there.thanks Brandon for being helpful and honest.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Edited to 4 stars because they called me instead of just going ahead with the work. This is worth a lot.Went in because I needed them to find a short in the electrical system. I told them that the diagnostics didn't work because of something the previous owner did to the computer. Then the mechanic Brandon called me back to say that the diagnostic was telling them the alternator wasn't getting a pulse.I asked them to check for the actual short and they said they couldn't without replacing the alternator.Got them to do a tire repair and oil change since it was already there, and they managed to snap the quick release lever off my passenger seat.Ended up going down to pick up the car to do the alternator exchange myself. Except I bought the food to do a proper check for shorts, and the alternator was working fine. I was able to drive the car for 8 hours without a problem.*Drove it for a week, all the way to the West Coast with no problem. They never fixed the issue I went in for.Fine for basic service, but clearly not an experienced mechanic.Staff were mostly decent, but far from friendly. Driver who came in to collect my payment on a Saturday was the best part of my experience. (They were worried I wouldn't pay) Thanks to him.

My daughter had a slow leak in her tire and we were expecting her to need a new tire. Robert fixed the leak and then kept the car a few days to make sure the leak had stopped. He told her that she will eventually need a new tire, but not at this time and it would be good for her drive to clinicals and back home to NY. He will always get our business and our recommendation when someone asks for a mechanic in the area.

Awesome and fast professional service. The tow person, QUENTIN towed my 20 foot boat and trailer which required a special skill to load it withcare being taken to protect the outboard (lower unit) which would have to clear the ground when the boat was tilted up. I would highly recommend this business. I never thought I would find a rollback heavy duty enough on Labor Day. He was there within 30 min.

Had them tow my car to here to get welded, upon explaining the situation, it was something they claimed to be capable of doing. They then called and said it would take approximately 10 hours to fix and asked if I wanted them to go ahead and proceed and I said yes. They estimated at around $1,000 to repair, which was fine. Then I get a call saying upon looking further into it, all of a sudden it would take over 1,000 hours to repair I was told, which is insane and that if the car could be fixed it would cost at least $5,000, but they weren't capable of that. The one worker then drove it into the garage and put it up on the lift to show me and when he got out of my car, he slammed the door into the lift and said nothing, no apology, just hoped I didn't see it, thankfully no noticeable damage, but still. I then told them I would pick up my car and tow it myself and they agreed to leave my key in the car so I could access it. Next, I go to get it and the car is locked and the shop was closed, as it was early and on the weekend, so about an hour of waiting and the owner finally showed up after calling multiple times to get ahold to get my key, which was promised to be left in under the seat with the door unlocked. Lastly, I towed it to a more local shop where it was welded to top-notch quality, at a cost of less than $1,000. Attached are pictures of it on the lift in the shop for proof.

My husband had car trouble about 200 miles from home and needed a tow. We have the premium package of AAA which covers 1 tow of 200 miles. I was absolutely appalled at the service I got which was nothing. Two different towing companies AAA called would come out however couldn't come for days, one company said 1week. If you leave your vehicle in a strange place that long the police will impound it. I called Roberts after researching a little about the area my husband was stuck in and they had no problem coming out at all. The driver was professional and experienced, the truck was well maintained and clean. The weather wasn't great snowing and windy and really quite cold that night but the driver came out and towed the car where we wanted it to be repaired. The tow was expensive but worth every dollar to get our car out of that area and back home. This Towing company is top notch and dependable, I highly recommend them and really grateful I contacted them. AAA on the other hand...once my membership expires this year I won't be renewing. It's like they want your money for the membership and hope you never use it. I've been a member for 9 years and they are nothing like they used to be not even close

Hauled our Ford F250 SD on a Sunday afternoon from Hillsgrove to Danville after break failure. Although it took about 4 hours (a 1 hour drive) for the truck to reach our location, the driver (Cory) was very courteous & professional and a pleasure to ride with to the drop location. He explained that they were very busy which caused the delay.Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the delay.JTJerseytown, PA

I had gotten my service van stuck in a deep ditch that was covered in leaves and not visible. Not even a 4x4 pickup was able to get me out. Made a call to Roberts and they showed up promptly and got me out and on my way quickly with no damage to my vehicle. The young man on the roll back was polite and professional. Highly recommended service!

I had an unexpected flat tire and after contacting my state farm emergency roadside service, they hooked me up with Robert's Automotive service. It was a Sunday afternoon and it took about 6 hours for them to come get my car, but they did contact me to let me know when to expect them.(They were really busy, apparently I wasn't the only unfortunate one that day)They towed my car to the destination of my choice and it was there at opening time the very next morning.Overall, I am very content with the service they provided. Also, when I spoke with the operator, he was professional, kind and well spoken.5/5 would refer or use again.

All the guys there are super nice, honest and respectful everytime I'm there! And they have definitely towed cars for me more than once and I've always been satisfied with the service I've received from them. They recently tried to fix an issue I was having with my vehicle when they unfortunately decided it needed to go somewhere else for a specific problem but they were so nice and honest they took off all the new things that they figured out weren't the problem and

This business is exceptional! I needed their assistance along the interstate and I was 2 hours from home. The 2 gentlemen that assisted me road side were extremely kind and professional, their communication with me (even though I was 2 hours away) was excellent, they had my car repaired quickly, are a great value (I needed a new alternator and their price for parts, repair and service was more than fair) and I was more than satisfied with their work. I would definitely consider utilizing their services again (even with being 2 hours away).Services: Electrical, Battery

My car got hung up on a steep bank backing out of a driveway, with no way to get my front wheels moving forward which just kept spinning and making a deeper rut in the soft soil. Quentin arrived and quickly evaluated the situation, figured the best way to pull my car out of that area, and had me on the road in a flash. Hands down, one of the best service call experiences I have ever had.

This place is very deceiving!! If you ever decide to have your car towed there for any reason they charge $65 storage fee per day and do not tell you this important information. We actually wanted it towed to a different place and they said no. Now I see why. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know, ever!!!!

A Negative 10 Star Rating from us! Rude incompetent scammers. Used this service one time - not by choice - and we ll never use them again. My son wrecked his car because of snow less than a mile from home. Our insurance agency called a tow truck service to tow the vehicle to our house. The insurance company planned to have someone assess the car s damage within a couple of days. After 4+ hours sitting in the cold, this company came. After getting the car on the tow truck after 9:00 PM , the driver told us that his boss said that he has to tow it back to the garage which is 16 miles away! Our house is less than a mile away! The driver said he refuses to take it anywhere but to the business. We even got our insurance agent on the phone at the scene of the accident and made him talk to her and he very rudely said again that he refuses to take it to our home and that it has to go to the business. This was a scam to get more money out of the insurance company. We went to Roberts Towing to clean out the car two days later, and they had the car blocked in by a plow truck!Do your research before submitting to these crooks.Edited to respond to their response. There was space for 3 cars and then our son s car. The car was very obviously boxed in by the plow truck purposely.I told a few other people about our experience (young driver; first accident; first experience with the snow...that kind of thing..) including the experience with the towing company. They asked which company we had to deal with and when I said the name, 2 different people went on to tell me a bad experience they had or a friend had involving this company and another person said Yeah, I dealt with them once. Never again. But kudos for replying so quickly. Maybe you guys will straighten up your act one day soon.

Traveling from Indiana back to Long Island NY in my Hino tow truck I broke down on Route 80. Not familiar with the area I googled repair shops near me. These guys came up. I called and explained the situation. They took my truck in and the very expensive car I was towing and kept it safe until I returned with another truck. They fixed my truck and I was able to get back on the road. They kept me informed with the progress of my repair and were extremely fair with the price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Thanks again guys!

I cannot say enough good things about Nate and the good, honest people at Roberts Auto Towing and Service. Our son's car broke down at 3 a.m. on I-80 on his way to work. All signs pointed to a clutch/transmission problem. Roberts came and towed the car, took it back to the shop, did the diagnostics and found a badly misfiring cylinder. A job that could've been a few thousand dollars turned into a few hundred. We were totally at their mercy; the car was stranded and my son was from out of town. It all worked out great; the car is running better than ever. Thank you, Roberts.Service: Engine repair

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are rude, incompetent, and untruthful. I was towed by this company on Tuesday. The driver could not figure out how to put my car into neutral to get my car on the tow truck. He proceeded to take my center console apart, then went under the hood of my car and broke my shifter. He did not put anything back together, dragged my car onto the tow truck and then proceeded to watch YouTube video's to figure out how to get it off the truck when at the dealership. Thankfully, the service technicians at the dealership were able to show him how to get my car down. But on inspection of the car I was informed that the pins on my shifter had been destroyed, by tow truck drivers actions. Called Roberts office and the manager/owner denied that the driver had anything to do with the problem. He refused to pay for repairs, and at one point wouldn't even get on the phone with me, just told his receptionist to tell me it wasn't their fault. Company is crooked. Will be calling the Better Business Bureau

Nate (owner) is honest, helpful, and kind. I broke down on a road trip, where I was towed to Robert's Automotive. After doing a thorough check on my vehicle, he offered valuable advice on how to work with my insurance company. His advice did not help his business in any way as I ultimately had my vehicle fixed somewhere else. He was just doing the right thing, offering years of experience and knowledge just to help me out. He didn't even charge me for the diagnostics. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, Nate is your guy!

Son's car wouldn't start 100 miles from home. Diagnosed efficiency as a dead battery, cked charging system and verified the repair without trying to rob him. Price was fair and quick. This is how you are successful in this day and age. Many thanks from Bethlehem PA.

Very positive experience. I had my truck inspected by two separate mechanics in the area (one of which was the dealership). Neither one could identify the problem and both had virtually given up trying to do so. Roberts Automotive diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly. Very cost effective. I'm thrilled to have found an honest, reliable mechanic in my area.

These guys are simply awesome- I was stranded at the side of the road and within 20 minutes the flat bed was there to tow my car. The young man that hooked everything up was very knowledgeable and helpful to speak with. When we got to the shop, the guys got me right in knowing I was in a pinch and was on my way up to NY. I went in there thinking the worst- maybe my transmission went, maybe my engine was the problem,...so on and so fourth. The dollar signs were literally racking up in my brain. I thought I'd have to buy a new car for sure, which I didn't have the $ for! Well, the owner came out and said, "You can stop looking for new vehicles, we found the problem.." A loose battery cable! Let's just say I wanted to hug these guys...They could have easily said, "Yup, you need a new tranni and that will be $2,000" and I would never have known it. They were so upfront and honest. I paid like $70 for the diagnostic work. Which, I may add...if anyone has ever diagnosed a vehicle, $70 is incredibly reasonable for their time. The owner (Scott? I'm terrible with names...) said I was good to go and said he would never send me all the way to NY if he felt like I wasn't going to be safe. He even said IF something were to happen and I broke down again that he'd personally pick me up and tow me back free of charge. When you first walk in, it's no secret...it doesn't exactly look like the shiniest shop in the world...however, I think about where my money is going. It's not going to pay for the dealership setting- which is what people normally are paying for, sorry to burst your bubbles...this shop is small, has a great family feel and truly takes care of their customers. I am new to the area, coming down from the Syracuse, NY area and am very relieved to have found a shop that I can trust down here.If you don't want to pay an arm and a leg at a huge, fancy dealership that will gouge you for money- contact these guys. Very reasonable prices and very talented technicians!
