BPA ticketed me wrongfully. I paid for parking and the idiot who issued my ticket searched up the wrong license plate number. It was one letter off and obviously it wouldn t show up that I paid because that s not even the license plate number on the back of my car! These people are dumb and will do anything for an extra buck. Sorry

Apparently these people are just brain rotten. Preying on the average citizen, they are no help, and they just want money in their pockets. They act as though they re in the mafia. Money hungry!!!Got a violation ticket because I was over 1 day for my vehicle registration (didn t get my notice in the mail like I usually do!). Could have gave me a warning!

The Parking Authority of this town operates like a mafia riding around exploiting and leaching off your average citizen who is already struggling in such economic times. To ding someone for a registration the day it expires is a terribly scummy move fit only for a bunch of slimy, weak spined half-wit troglodytes. They re about as useful to this world as Syphilis and yet they make that look appealing I hope the day comes they re shut down and tossed aside like the human filth they are.

They hire idiots every single month now and make their own rules. If you got tickets with them in the past they will keep targeting your car forever I changed my car to different places every 2 hrs and today they decided to give me a ticket and their response was you can t park in the same block when that s not what the signs saids. I m sure you guys are desperate for money and probably live in a area where you don t have signs for parking so you will never care karma will get you

They absolutely stink. They gave my husband three tickets totaling $50 while we went on a date in a spot that is extremely questionable in terms of if you can park. They also had "free parking" posted on the meters, so he didn't think twice about where we landed. We didn't block anything. Didn't cause problems. Patronized businesses after finding out we're pregnant after losing one. He's in the process of getting his inspection updated. It's just absolutely criminal.

The BPA is the absolute worst! They pick and choose when to actually enforce rules. They are only looking to get your money and do not feel bad giving you multiple tickets even after you have received one. They are absolutely corrupt. Someone needs to put them in check!

Only with the BPA would you be given a ticket while in the driver's seat of your vehicle with overgrown trees covering signs. Yet another example of the poor man's tax.

They pick and choose when to enforce their rules. They post street closed signs without times and dates or reasons why your street is closed. If you are affluent or live in a more expensive part of the city then you don't have to worry about their arbitrary borderline discriminatory zones. They only attack lower income and working class. Any discrimination lawyers out there please look into the legality of their zones cause it's pretty interesting the sections of town they are in and not in.

Ticketed for being outside the lines, when there were no lines.I was outside of where the lines would have been, I guess.I thought I had a good case to dispute. Turns out, convincing BPA that you don't owe BPA money is harder than I thought.

I pay for two cars and have nowhere to park. They are the worst people to deal with. They harass Bethlehem citizens. The CEO wastes tax payers money. Fraud.

Recently parked in Bethlehem for a friends dinner and paid at the meter. I got there at 6:37 pm and paid for the max time which would have put me at 9 pm totaling $3.58. I got a ticket at 7:38 for an expired meter. When I called the lady was rude and said I had the right to appeal. So I questioned how I paid almost $4 to park for hours and received a ticket and hour later . Apparently she doesn t know. These people are bored and incompetent

Give out an unbelievable amount of tickets with the limited parking space in South side Bethlehem. Un-forgiving during the constant road work. Their supervisor needs improvement on responding to emails. Disputed a ticket where I was sitting in my car during the first picture claiming , "I was parked for 2 hours". When picking up a resident of south side. They denied me the opportunity to look at further pictures taken of my car besides a screenshot of their in car display. The picture was poor quality and because of this, they denied the dispute. Their supervisor ignored all further emails sent even after paying the ticket for me to be able to review the evidence myself. This parking authority makes it so you can never dispute their mistakes and blatenly ignore their mistakes to help their quota.

Twice now they ve told me my payment for my permit didn t go through so I ve gotten a ticket yet they took the money out of my account and I have receipts to prove it. Went to the office and was told I don t know. This is the second year in a row. Last year they even tried covering it all up and I have receipts and time stamps to prove that. This past January a woman tried giving me a ticket and I argued with her I had a permit and she told me her computer showed I didn t, I told her I absolutely did because I live here why would I not get the permit. She left without giving me a ticket. The people who ticket on 11th avenue don t check for permits or their computers are always down. Why have an authority when your computers never work? Why pay for a permit when I am going to constantly get harassed and ticketed throughout the year. It s absolutely ridiculous and so stupid. The BPA is stupid.

if i could give negative stars, i would. i got ticketed for parking too close to a "crosswalk" which wasnt marked as a crosswalk and a 4 inch curb on the side that i parked on. the meter maid took pictures at shady angles to make it look closer than i actually was. and when i reached out to a manager, he didnt give me any information and seems like he doesnt know what hes talking about. to add insult to injury, 5th avenue has no permit parking or meters so they shouldnt even be coming down there in the first place. what a joke

11 minutes late while shopping. I would have gladly paid more if I knew they were going to charge me $15 for 11 minutes late. If I had know I would have just over paid the extra 25 cents. Way to treat out of town visitors. Not returning to those shops again. If you own one of those shops I'd complain because you will and are losing business.

When I went to park on Friday 11/11 the parking meter where you pay wouldn t let me pay. I tried several times and it didn t work. When I left the next morning I had a ticket on my vehicle so I appealed it. The response I received was that my ticket is valid because 11/11 was free for Veterans Day, which wasn t displayed anywhere. So next time I should set my alarm at midnight to go pay even though I had no idea parking was free due to Veterans Day. Next time it would be nice to have some sort of sign stating this. Also when you pay for parking it only allows you to pay for up to 10 hours, so they are setting you up for failure. It use to be $10 for 24 hours but now only $10 for 10 hours complete ridiculous if you ask me!! Inflation at it s finest.

This is a wonderful experience at Bethlehem Parking Authority. The staff was helpful, professional and welcoming. The miss also assisted me to get that is cheaper permit than the one that I registered for as my information could find a better option. The environment was positive that I had no worries when I was there. Not only that, they also helped me print out my documents free of charge. I'm highly recommend Bethlehem Parking Authority and the wonderful staffs there!

Was parked in the parking garage on walnut st. Saw I had a ticket for expired registration for two days. (Two tickets total) I immediately go online and renew my registration. I print it out and put it on the dash of my car. I came back to my car five days later to see I had five expired registration tickets. They took a photos of my dash as proof. where in all of the pictures you can clearly see the new registration. This is a privately owned business. And their job is extorting money from the tourists and the people living and working in this city.

I had court today for an unpaid ticket. First of all BPA needs to get someone different to handle the hearings. He was not the officer that placed the ticket on my car so I told him it was hearsay to testify that the other officer did. He then told me it is hearsay for me to say I never received the ticket. Which he is wrong about because I m testifying myself. So long story short their court representative doesn t even understand the law and I got my ticket reduced back to 15 dollars. ALSO EVERYONE HAS A 6th AMENDMENT RIGHT TO FACE THEIR ACCUSER. IF THE OFFICER WHO WROTE THE TICKET DOESN T SHOW UP SAY YOU DIDN T GET IT. IT WILL BE REDUCED BACK TO THE 15 DOLLARS IF THE ORIGINAL OFFICER IS NOT THERE.

4/25/23 around 10 am I parked my car on west broad street and I was looking for a quarters inside my car for meterIt was less than one minute and she came in and gave me a ticket. I explained her that I was looking for a quarter in my car. She said I didn t know that you are in a car but I can not cancel the ticket. You have to appeal it online. This is ridiculousI guess you need to feed the meter before you park thereIt s a highway robbery with the attitudeKarma will get back to that lady

The BPA is a joke. I was visiting family from 5 hours away because my aunt was dying. I had lunch at a local restaurant, you know, help support the community. I came out, and there was a ticket on my windshield. I still had 16 minutes left on my meter. It said expired registration. My renewed one was mailed a few days before, so it apparently hadn't updated. I was legally parked and had minutes on my meter and knew I had sent in my registration. I ended up renewing my registration on the spot online, so I double paid it because I was worried about traveling with an expired registration. $30 ticket now turned into a $131 ticket because I tried to appeal it. Due to "court fees"!?! I was not able to go to court; I LIVE 5 HOURS AWAY. I have 3 kids and just tested positive for covid on Friday. But yet they expect me to go to a court hearing with all this?? I tried calling yesterday, stating I could not make it. I faxed them my test results and faxed my receipt of my paid registration, and I was still found guilty. I don't get what they are trying to accomplish here other than scam me for money!! HORRIBLE!!

Was in Bethlehem on business on 3/16/17. It was snowy day - I had to climb over a bank of snow to pay the meter, but I did it because small towns thrive on the extortion of outsiders for things like not paying parking meters. I patted myself on the back for not getting a ticket because I put in the effort to climb the snow bank to pay. So, today is May 5, 2017. I've just received a violation notice in the mail claiming that it was sent 4/20/17 with a due date of 5/3/17. See the problem? Apparently they don't. Called to find out why, if my vehicle was ticketed, was there not a ticket on my windshield when I returned to the vehicle? Further, why was I not notified by mail within the first month of the supposed violation, especially since these small towns usually demand payment within the first 10 days or so? I asked both questions to the employee I spoke with at the Authority today on the phone... "Is it standard practice not to leave a ticket on the vehicle?" "Of course not, they leave a ticket on the vehicle as standard practice." "Well, there was no ticket on the vehicle. Either way, why is the first notice I'm receiving coming to me today; even if I received it shortly after 4/20, it would still be more than a month since the supposed violation would become delinquent?" "It's already been forwarded to the magistrate. You can contact them and appeal it. Good day."What bottom-feeders. I'll be sure to avoid Bethlehem in the future, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Local Bethlehem businesses, you can thank your local army of extortionists for the lost revenue.
