As a young woman with limited knowledge on hardware and appliance needs, I often find shopping in hardware stores to be intimidating.That is not the case at Aykroyd Hardware!The staff is very welcoming and eager to answer any question I may have.They put in the work and do the research to find the proper solution/part for your needs and at a reasonable price.Anytime I need anything from a hardware store in the future, I know, without a doubt where I am going, and I would recommend everyone do the same!

I love this place. Everyone is always very helpful and knowledgeable. It is deceptively small from the outside but when you get inside they have everything. No need to go to a big box store anymore.

I don't get to go to Aykroyd as much as I would like to, but every time I stop in, I appreciate the effort the staff goes through to accommodate me. Attentive, knowledgeable, and polite, I can't recommend them enough.

As an avid supporter of local commerce... I tend to visit Aykroyd's anytime I come across a hardware need... The gents here are sharp and very attentive to customer needs. I highly recommend them for your hardware needs. Oh, and they have an awesome Milwaukee product display...

Center city hardware store that has everything you would need. I went there on a last ditch effort look for a florescent light starters that tge big name stores ( Lowes and the Depot ) didn't have and they had them,been back twice. The people who helped me as soon as walked through the door are very helpful and knowledgeable I'm assuming the owners. I'll be back again

Pete and the staff are awesome. They always have what I m looking for. Personable and Helpful. I love supporting small business.When I made the decision to switch all of my tools and storage from Craftsman to a better quality product (Milwaukee), I had a choice. The big box store has the stuff, but you don t get the personal service or experience you get with a small business. So, I decided to hand my funds over to a fellow small business owner. I have been there many times for many needs and built a relationship with them. You will not get this from the big box.Keep up the great work fellas!

Beats the big-name stores hands-down. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, quick, and reasonable prices. Every time I ve been in here, someone has volunteered to help within a minute or two, and they ve helped me find what I was looking for quickly every time. It s amazing how much they can pack into a relatively small store - I haven t yet walked out empty-handed.Customer service at the big chains has deteriorated horribly, especially over the last year or two, but not so here. I always try to come here now instead, unless I need something late-night or I want to leave carrying some sort of giant appliance or lumber.To be fair, I ve never asked for either of those who know what they ve got up their sleeve for the bigger requests. :)

I love going here. The guys are awesome. Always someone there to help you. Anything you need they pretty much got. Can't remember going there and not getting what I needed. Go see the guys. Far better then the depot, or blows! Lol....

Combination of old time hardware store where some items are still loose and weighed and modern equipment. If you are having trouble finding an item for a project in the big box stores, Aykroyd Hardware is worth checking out. Also has knowledgeable staff! Mostly street parking.

Love this place. If you don't need to go to the The Big Box store then don't. These guys got almost everything you need. prices are even better. Parking lot in the rear. street parking on the side street. parking in the front. And their California paint is top-notch. Probably the largest selection of Milwaukee tools in the valley

This place is the headquarters for Milwaukee tools! Huge inventory, and up to date on the newest tools, how they work, and how to use them.Very knowledgeable and professional staff, you won t get this kind of help at Home Depot!They also have lots of thingamabob s, Doohickey s, and other items you won t find at the big box stores.

My sister just moved to PA from NJ and I came to help her assemble her bed. We need some additional items to complete the assembly so we found this location. Loser to her apartment rather than traveling miles to HD. The gentlemen were all knowledgeable, pleasant and provided great customer service. Not just with us but with everyone that came in the store. Thank you Aykroyd Hardware for making us feel welcomed.

i used to love this store, i frequently went there as i do a lot of DIY, and we have an old home which tends to need a lot of work. i recently was sold a defective item, which they would not honor a refund for. the one worker/manager whoever he is has been VERY unprofessional about the entire situation and i will tell everyone who listens not to go there anymore. this is not the first time i have been sold defective items from them. i ve let things go in the past because i believe everyone should get a second chance, but this has become habitual and it s just not how a business should operate. keys are seldom cut right, even for locks they sell in store. never have i been so offended by a worker in a store in my entire life. absolutely unacceptable behavior for a man of his age. grow up. i always try to shop small, but in this case, i'll gladly travel the extra miles to go to a chain store or different shop because apparently this one likes to play dirty.

First time at this business. Looks like a well stocked store. I was not making a very large purchase but every employee that wasn't with a customer were very eager and willing to help me. Good customer service has become a rarity. That is not the case at Aykroyds. Highly recommended.

Knowledgeable enough bunch of folks and a well stocked store. But the minute I walk in the store they ask if they can help me. Knowing the layout of the store and what I am there for specifically I tell them "no, thank you though" and yet they still follow me around the store honestly like a puppy dog and they watch and stare at you while you're shopping. This turns me off very much. Another reason to go to the Lowe's/ Home Depot route.

I went to Aykroyd's twice for some home impressive projects. My first trip ended in failure, but the character of this small business led me back more than once. Aykroyd's staff are willing to help you find the materials and see our your needs in the interest of you, rather than a corporation. I got really attentive treatment which led me so say this is practically full service store. If you have hardware needs, you really need to consider Aykroyd's. Also, if you use Milwaukee tools - make sure to spare a few minutes to look around at their selection.

Very friendly employees. Largest carry of Milwaukee tools in the valley with the best pricing. They also order in parts and tools quickly that are not in stock. I highly recommend this place to anyone I know.

Great old time hardware store with lots of good stuff. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The absolute best selection of Milwaukee cordless tools. Incredible selection actually.

This is an adorable and quaint little local hardware store. The associates are helpful and they usually have at least one option for the thing I need. I highly recommend this place.

Outstanding hardware store. Pete and his staff are extremely helpful, answer any and all hardware questions and offer products of every kind to meet your needs. After you visit Ackroyd's, I know the use of a Lowe's or Home Depot will no longer be a consideration!!! I recommend Ackroyd's without reservation!!!!Bill Matz

Staff is super knowledgeable and they have a selection of items that allow you to find that missing part to the more specific sections of whatever you are working on. Plus there is street parking for when you need to get in and out fast, and not want to deal with stripmalls
