I dropped my car off because something on the bottom was scraping on the ground, and I had lost a piece of protective plastic on the cross-state drive. Not only did Sam fix my car, but he showed me exactly what was going on and gave me a full tour of my own vehicle, which, as someone who doesn t know much about cars, was incredibly educational and kind. I would give this 6/5 stars if I could. 7 even. He was not only kind, gracious and knowledgeable , but was affordable as well. Honestly the best experience I ve ever had at an auto shop.

I only have one vehicle and I am new to the area so I was calling around looking for a sit-down appointment instead of dropping off my car. Practically everywhere makes you drop off your car now. Sam was able to take me right as he opened on Saturday and it was an easy experience. We had a good conversation and I was able to get my state inspection and emissions tests while I was there with no issues. I would recommend!

Sam was great. He inspected two of my vehicles today without an appointment. One was a quick and easy. The other needed some work. He stayed late to get it finished which I didn't expect. My mechanic retired, I was with him 30 years or so. After today I found my new mechanic. Thanks Sam.

Great service through and through. Called ahead to get new tires, Sam was very helpful and was more than happy to help. Got new tires within the hour i was there, and was at a great price! Will definitely go back for any future car problems!!

I had the most amazing experience at garagi88 that i never had at an Auto service place before.I went to garagi88 to get my front axles fixed and Sam the owner was fantastic. He was very honest with me,he showed me the problem and he gave me a good price,other places price was outrageous because I'm a female .Sam thanks you for being, honest, friendly, helpful and overall for being an amazing person. I gave you five stars because you deserve it.

Had to get my inspection last minute. As a small business owner I look at reviews before making important decisions. All the reviews I saw for Garagi 88 were great. Called up and they got me in the next day. The owner, Sam did not nickel and dime me so i paid him more than the total. Completely worth it in my opinion. Iwould definitely recommend this place. Thanks Sam!!!

As long as I knew what the problem was and it was quick easy work I never had a problem. I brought my truck in to find out what was wrong for the first time and he had me spend $600 parts and another $500 in labor on things my truck didn't need. Then he told me he couldn't fix the problem. When I told him he was a crook he kicked me out of his shop. Didn't tighten my lug nuts out of spite and could have killed me!! Do not take your car here!!!!!

Most honest and safe service. I was not a single old lady waiting to be ripped off. Every time I take my car for service, whether to the dealer or a Firestone, I sit on edge waiting for a long list of things that need to be done. I went to this garage and got a list of things that did not need fixing. They changed my oil. I usually also have to have my filter change. I only do local driving. No filter change. I have to go back on Monday for my inspection. No hidden charge, no extra for anything. Honest price. I drove off in a car that moved like silk. I felt secure. My garage for the rest of my driving life. They are respectful, experienced, and honest. Check out Garagi 88 on Library Road.Ok, here I go again. As promised, I got my car back today. Inspected and no grrrrrr sound from the back anymore. Just to let you know, the dealer was going to charge me about $600. That was quoted to me. It cost half as much at Garagi 88. This is a family owned business. Run by Mom, Dad, and two of the most respected and caring sons. I know the young men. I was the lunch lady until the oldest graduated, and now I am the lunch lady to the youngest. They are always so calm and polite. This garage has class. Efficient and I promise will not find problems that are not there. Support this family business. Try them yourselves.

I needed Sam to work on my car IMMEDIATELY!! My son was getting married the Saturday after Labor Day, about 1 hour away, and I needed the car all week to help with wedding plans. I called Sam on Saturday (2 days before Labor Day) and left a voicemail telling him I was in a bind and needed a new starter. I was thinking, There s no way he s going to even be able to look at my car until Tuesday. Then who knows how many days to get the part and fix it! I went to other garages, but no one could get to it. Sam called me Monday morning (Labor Day), and a new starter was in that day! I had the car back by that afternoon. He found a new start on the other side of Pittsburgh, and had one of his sons drive over and pick it up because he said, I knew you needed the car, and it was an emergency. Sam is great! His boys are great! Thanks so much!

This has been a great place to go for car maintenance like oil changes, tire purchases, tire rotations, etc.! The prices are very fair compared to competitors. It has an unbearable location on Library Road on a quiet side street.I really enjoy how my car feels after getting the an oil change here and using what they call are "Pepsi cans". In the attached image are close ups of the cans that boost engine performance and act as an engine oil supplement. My car feels crisp accelerating uphill all over the roads of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, which meander all over the place due to the varying terrain. I highly recommend these cans!Gargi 88 has been my favorite business discovery of 2022!

Sam is really friendly and does a good job explaining the work that he is doing. I got my car inspected and Sam showed me some other issues that he fixed. Fairly priced and great work. I wouldn t go to any other mechanic after my experience here.

This man is a scammer .. I had work done on my 2010 Ford explorer he didn't tighten the lug nuts on my wheels, then installed my starter which left screws lose that caused my starter to go bad and need replaced again.. Over charged me for multiple services I've had done.. I will never go back to this shop again!!!

If you re looking for an honest mechanic, this is your guy. He is very affordable, no nonsense and was very straightforward and honest about my vehicle and the work it needed. Sam is the best. He does good work and doesn t try to take advantage of the customer in the process. He also took the time to explain what other work would need to be performed on my vehicle without being pushy or trying to intimidate me into having it done before it was necessary. This is my new go to shop.Update May of 2023: I called Sam to ask about him replacing my brakes and to schedule the service. He asked if I wanted to bring my own or if he could order them for me, which is what I chose to do. He asked if he could see my truck before he ordered them, to make sure he ordered the right parts and he fit me into the schedule that day. When I arrived, he told me that he actually did have the brakes in stock and asked if I wanted to just have them installed today, provided that I did not need additional parts. Sam did the service in a professional, timely manor and politely made me aware of some potential services I would need in the future in a completely non-pushy way. The price was extremely reasonable and the service was top notch. Sam is my go to and I'm thankful to have found such an honest, reliable and reasonable mechanic.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I would rate it 6 stars if I could. Sure I might be biased cuz Sam and I share a name.But I was in from out of state to purchase my first truck and I called like 10 mechanics to get a pre-purchase inspection, everyone was swamped and said NO Finally I called Garagi 88, Sam answered and said wow your from out of state? Sure, bring her in now right now, I got you! He was SO NICE, spoke to me and my mother and equals even though he was the expert; he was incredibly thorough, honest, and didn t rush anything. Many mechanics are rude as hell to women, but he treated my Mother with kindness and took her seriously.Because I asked, He explained what he was looking at under the car and the hood, what the significance of it was, how the previous owner maintained it and what all that means for me. So patient with all my questions, was eager to answer them. If there was a question that he could answer immediately he would not bs me, he would explore the vehicle until the answer revealed itself to him.I strongly recommend this place, I really hope they stick around because they are good people.I wish he could be my local mechanic because I would trust him with my vehicle always.Incredible prices and service.

Amazing experience. My car broke down on me over an hour away from home I called all the local shops and Garagi 88 was the only one that would fit me in same day, even said he would wait for me if I came after closing time since the tow truck would take forever. I was able to jump start it and bring it in sooner than expected and he started working on it right away, quickly diagnosed a broken serpentine belt and ordered the part to fix it same day. Took less than 2 hours to fix it for me and I was able to safely make the drive home that same day. Was very fair on price as well. If I lived closer I would make him my go to mechanic for everything. Heck I might even make the drive.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

If you re looking for a shop CHOOSE THIS ONE!!! Owner was absolutely amazing! Extremely honest, kind, quick and reasonably priced! I started the day with my car totally shutting down for unknown reasons to me, called this shop, and had it back fixed by the end of the day! He also made sure I understood what he fixed and what could be fixed in the future but was not pushy at all!! I will certainly be coming back!

Sam was able to fit me in same day to get my tire fixed. While I wasn't able to purchase new tires today he offered a good deal and sent me on my way for an extremely affordable price for a tire patch. Will definitely be returning for future services!

What a nice person I have ever seen. We came from canada and accidentally the car got punctured on highway and after trying so much we found this garage and he provided a best service on this weekend time when no any garage was even open. This man was like a blessing for us. Highly recommended...

I saw a good rating of this place and called for an appointment. Samir (who go by Sam) responded promptly and gave an appointment on the same day for two of my vehicles. As soon as we reached, he was very quick telling what my cars needed. It was clear that he is very experienced. With some interaction, I found him very humorous and honest man. He shows exactly to you what he is going to do on your vehicle. For example, one of my cars driver's side speaker was not working which I showed to a Toyota Dealership. I was told that the speaker was rusty and needed to replace the whole, but Sam and his son showed me that it was just a wire disconnect. Now, you can imagine how much would the difference be; but he asked just $30 for fixing the speaker. Next, the other car that my wife drives is pretty new but the dealerhip had told us to change its brakes and the rotor. Sam, on the other hand, showed us measuring with his scale what is recommended (blue, yellow, and red color marks) and how thick the rotor should be, and when we would need to be concerned. We sort of gained some knowledge with them in fact.
