This place is horrible very poor customer service. Ignorant on the phone. I would never take my personal car there ever. They don't fully inspect cars on inspections. Accident waiting to happen. Same place told another customer you need to do you oil changes more frequently because they have a turbo on there vehicle. But yet the vehicle doesn't even have a turbo. What a joke this place is don't go here. Better shops in the area.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Best mechanic hands down!!! they are honest, trustworthy , and incredibly knowledgeable . I would NOT go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and don't try to save money getting a jiffy lube oil change or any of those places like Firestone, they will only cost you more in the long run . There prices are so reasonable and they really go the extra mile and are so friendly. Seriously THE BEST MECHANIC AROUND !Service: Auto engine tuning

We have been using Bristol & Taylor since the 90's. They are really top notch mechanics. They are incredibly thorough. We tend to keeps our cars for a very long time that we can safely do that thanks to them. I had my car at the dealer 3 times for a noise. One trip to them and they found it immediately. It is an awesome family run business that does some of the best work around. They are better than the dealer. Thank you, Steve, Pete, and the rest of the team.

I have been going to Bristol & Taylor garage for approximately 30 years. Through the years, I have owned several cars that I have taken there for servicing. I have also referred friends and family to this business, because of the trust that I have for both Steve and Pete. I have always been treated with respect and honesty. They always take the time to explain in detail about whatever the problem is and how to best resolve it. They are always honest in their assessment as to whether the problem is worth the money to repair, or to not bother spending the money unnecessarily. The work is always done in an expedient and professional manner! They are true professionals and can always be trusted! I would also like to mention Michelle, who schedules appointment times and performs other important tasks and is always polite and accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The fact that this third-generation, family owned business has been serving the community since 1957 says it all. I started using Bristol & Taylor several years ago when I had a car "emergency," requiring immediate service. They were the only garage willing to help me & told me to bring my car right over. Since then, I've never taken my car anywhere else. Steve & Pete are extremely knowledgeable and honest, which is a huge benefit when you don't know much about cars. Their work is top-notch, and I highly recommend them.

I've been a customer of Bristol Taylor for over 10 years and have complete trust whenever I bring my cars in for service. They provide top-notch customer service and have been willing to spend time with me explaining the recommendations that they provide. As someone that deals with customers on a regular basis in my business, it's refreshing to work with people like Pete & Steve who are dedicated to their work.I would recommend them (and have) to anyone who is looking for trustworthy and quality treatment of their vehicles.

Excellent Service. I needed a PA inspection on a newly purchased car as well as a check of the wheel balance due to slight vibration at highway speeds. After choosing this shop based on many good reviews, I am very happy with my choice. Excellent service and communication of exactly what is going on with the car. I would highly recommend this shop. I normally do most regular maintenance myself, but I have no problem bringing my car to Bristol & Taylor in the future for any work that I am not able to do myself.

I Can t say enough good things about Bristol and Taylor Garage. From routine maintenance to handling a troublesome car issue, they will guide you in an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable direction. Steve and Michelle were very accommodating and deliver stellar personalized service. I whole heartedly trust them with all of my vehicle needs, you must try them, you won t be disappointed!

I can't say more good things about this establishment. My brand new Hyundai wheels were not balanced well from the factory. I had the car 2 weeks. The dealer tried to correct the problem and it helped a littleI went to Pete at Bristol and Taylor. He was extremely methodical and used a logical approach to check each tire. He road forced each tire, found what was wrong with each tire rim combination and balanced them. We tested the car and the wheel balance problems were 95% gone! It would have been 100% but one of the rims were slightly out of round. He told me he could have it sent out and straightened but I passed.This garage is a new found gem for me. I will be using them more in the future for my automotive repairs. I truly appreciated Pete's professionalism and attention to detail.Martin

Took my 2006 Jeep to Bristol and Taylor. Steve and Pete were both professional and kind. They did a great job getting the car running again for a reasonable price. I have been bringing my cars to Steve & Peter for over 10 years now....it is worth the 30 minute drive to get there because I know I can trust whatever work they do. They are honest, hard working, and always schooling themselves in the latest innovations in mechanics. They have always been there for me to help me through emergency situations. They have even given me guidance on how I should proceed with car purchases, when to get rid of a car, and even windshield replacement. Steve and Pete take pride in what they do.! I enjoy bringing my car to a family owned business instead of a large dealership.

I moved to the area about ten years ago and used chain store type garages to do my inspections and service. A few years ago a co-worker recommended Bristol and Taylor Garage when my inspection was due. It was a great tip. I have used them for all service and inspections since then. They are honest, friendly and knowledgeable. They do a good job for a fair price (and pretty quick, too). You can't ask for more than that.

These are great world-class auto and truck techicians, master grade. They do it right. That keeps costs down long term, because many times a lesser shop will do a average check up, an average repair, and than means they miss things, or scrimp on parts or short cut the labor. Bristol Taylor never takes a short cut, but they will let you know up front, what the needed repairs or maintainence is. They do it right. They keep you fully informed, and knowledge is money.In the past year I have bought two used cars for my family. Buying a used car means buying someone else's troubles. You can buy certified later model used cars but then you pay thousands more. And there still might be troubles that the cerrification process missed. But I buy older used cars, and my protection is Bristol Taylor. I pay them $136 to fully check out every car I am considering buying. It's money in the bank for me. Why?Even though I took four used vehicles to them last time, only two passed muster, and one of them was a great value. My savings are in the headaches in expenses or over-priced offers I avoided. On the last car I bought one car I considered looked great -- new tires, new muffler, spotless exterior and interior. Yet underneath Bristol Taylor discovered suspension and power train items that would have cost $5000 or so to repair. No deal. The seller listed the car as in "great" condition too. And that's how it looked. But not underneath. The outside had been maintained and the car had been garaged but the suspension and drive train had been neglected, seriously neglected, and the cost to fix would have been huge. So Bristol Taylor saved me many thousands. Because they are very conscientious, superbly trained, and love their skills as master technicians..

I've had two great experiences at Bristol-Taylor Garage! My most recent visit was for a last minute inspection and they were so understanding and willing to fit me in.I have already shared my experience with my family and will continue to recommend this shop to friends! I have taken our cars to Bristol Taylor garage as long as I can remember!! They are honest and hard working. I NEVER need to worry about this organization taking advantage of a woman" when it comes to fixing and repairing the many cars I have taken to them over the years!! Highly recommend....they go above and beyond and have been there at times of emergencies as well as just a stop by because a check engine light goes on!!

As a manager of 250+ vehicles in my fleet, bringing my vehicles here was a life saver! Trying to find an honest mechanic these days isn't as easy as it used to be. I never had to worry about unnecessary repairs and if something was starting to go bad, they would let me know instead of fixing it and adding it to the bill. To notch, honest and reliable are just a few short words I would use to explain these guys!!! Best descision I've made with regards to the up-keep of my vehicles!

I highly recommend this local family owned business for their honest & reliable work.They diagnose the issue, then take the time to explain what's needed and discuss the options available to get your vehicle performing the way you want it to be.I have trusted Bristol & Taylor with all of my automotive maintenance & repair needs since 2005, when they saved me several hundred dollars by fixing a part that another shop wanted to replace- and I never had trouble with it again. :)

I have been taking my vehicles to this garage for 20 years. I trust that the work that is done is necessary and done correctly so that my family is safe. I have never had to take anything back for correction. The owners are very courteous and easy to work with. I would highly recommend their services.

With these harsh winters, I was able to find Bristol and Taylor garage as a local service provider to coat my new car with Fluid Film. The attention to detail by the owner is greatly appreciated. Great customer service and quality work. Highly recommended.

I went to Bristol and Taylor for the first time to drop off my car for an inspection. Turned out that I had a much bigger problem than I could have anticipated. A weird problem that could have been missed. They found it. Steve and Paul went above and beyond anything that the dealer or chain franchises would have done, especially for a first time customer. I've never really had a place that I trusted to take my car consistently. I'm glad that I do now.Thanks guys!Bill

I take my car to Bristol and Taylor, and ONLY to Bristol and Taylor! The are always so helpful, and kind when explaining what is going on with my car in laymen terms, and I trust their knowledge completely. What initially brought me to the garage was the fact it has been family owned for 3 generations. I do NOT even go to the Meinakees, Pepboys, Jiffy Lubes, or NTBs for oil changes anymore because they overfilled my engine oil(which can damage engine) and then drained the transmission fluid without refilling(and almost broke the transmission) even though they weren't supposed to anything but an oil change. The problem with those places is they hire inexperienced high-school brats that do not know what they are doing, and are stoned half the time. But at Bristol and Taylor they care about their work and reputation because they have an invested interest on how the business is viewed by customers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone , it is not easy to find a good trustworthy mechanic, but I DID! Totally worth paying a little extra(Their prices are incredibly reasonable, just not as cheap as a NTB or firestone) for work you can trust and know they are not going to rip you off like the dealers or chain stores.

I took my car here to have tires road force balanced after a Tire Rack "preferred" installer couldn't get it right after two tries. Pete at B&T spoke with me at length on the phone to fully understand the issue, was pleasant and professional, and did the road force balancing himself. Three of the four wheels ended up in different locations on the car as per recommendation, one tire needed to be re-indexed on the wheel, and all four re-balanced with less weight. They even took the care to remove the glue from the previous weights from the barrels. The car went from having a nasty vibration at highway speeds to being as smooth as glass. This place is hands down the best garage around. Every time I have taken my car here they have gone above and beyond. From service to price you can t get better than Bristol & Taylor garage. On top of that they get you in and out in no time. Never a hassle, I wouldn t take my vehicle anywhere else.

First let me say that Steve is a great guy! He has serviced my vehicles for years. Always does a great job getting me and my family back one the road. He let's me know what is wrong and how to fix it myself if it is simple enough. Either way I always feel like I payed a fair price for service.

I am new to Bensalem and I needed help with my Kia. Luckily a neighbor told me about Bristol & Taylor Garage - I am so grateful that he did! Both Pete and Steve were wonderful, very helpful, kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are a female! Most garages take advantage of women, jacking up the price by telling us, "it's problems with the whatchamacallit - it's complicated and expensive..." These guys went above and beyond the customer care and made me feel very comfortable. I appreciated the extra touches like topping off all my fluids when they were finished. Best of all there were no hidden surprises in the bill. I will definitely have them take care of my Kia from now on. Thanks guys for all your help - you are true gentlemen!

Got back a little while ago from having an absolutely wonderful experience at Bristol Taylor Garage in Bensalem Pa. The owners/brothers Pete and Steve Fuhr (went to Bensalem HS with them) were amazing! Had a safety check on my car and Pete spent the time showing Noah what s happening under the hood . I highly recommend them for all your automotive needs! Thanks so much guys!

This garage is amazing. I bought my wife a VW Jetta on CL and after a few long drives the transmission started acting up. I though oh no 'lemon' the question was how much is this lemon going to cost to repair. I quickly stopped off at Bristol and Taylor in the afternoon but they were super busy and I was told that I would need to leave it with them for the guys to diagnose the issue. I booked it in the next morning to have Steven and Peter look at it. I was welcomed as soon as i walked in the door to the moment i left. I popped over to Kellys Cafe for an hour and then returned I sat and waited in the front area. I was offered coffee multiple time (but i filled up at Kellys) around another hour past, Peter came out and went in great detail that they couldn't find a problem with it. He and Steven took it out, now this problem is an issue as the car clunks and pulses on rev's before changing gears. Peter explained that although they couldn't find an issue it maybe an intermittent problem. He referred Jamie at Northeast Discount Transmission to take a check and do a transmission service (not just flush). I can not say a single bad thing and would highly recommend any and everyone to pop here for your auto problems, They had the car 2 hours checked things out and didn't charge me a penny!!! This is old school mechanics, family values as it should be! perfect.

December 2014 had car in for inspection and service. was charged for replacing lower control arms and ball joints. They also charged to adjust the brakes, which are self adjusting and headlights that were 1 month old. December 2015 a honest and reliable mechanic replaced the same front end parts after only 10,000 miles. I have the parts i can clearly see they were not replaced 1 year ago. I also showed the parts to a 3rd party technician and he agreed they were not replaced. Do not use them unless you want to be ripped off!
