Chad goes out of his way to meet the needs of the customer. I needed a receipt for work I had done there some time ago. He very promptly found it and brought it to my place of work-that's old-fashioned service!

Benders Auto Service and Repair is an amazing shop to get general auto servicing, routine maintenance, and inspections etc. Chad is a real stand up guy and he'll take care of you. He'll tell you what needs to be addressed and what can wait. 100% trustworthy shop and a local small business you should support. Independent shops like Benders are miles ahead of chain stores like Jiffy Lube, Pip Boys etc.

Had an a/c isssue, was expecting a few week wait time and an expensive bill - Chad got me in within a couple days - drained and recharged the system and didn't try to take advantage of the situation. Was happy with the price and so far no issues with the a/c. Was told to stop back for them to look at it for no additional charge after a week to see if the dye shows any leaks. Will def. Be using this business in the future for various things. Thanks again.

I stopped for a coffee and waited for the woman wearing red-striped socks. The time frame I had been given was wider than I am usually comfortable with, but beggars can t be choosers so I selected an audiobook, popped in some headphones, and pretended to read a paper while I kept a lookout. I saw her enter and removed my headphones so that I could be sure to overhear her order. She ordered a macchiato, so I knew I d be looking for a minivan. The 20-oz coffee size told me that I d be looking near the hospital, and the name she gave them: autumn told me it would be a dark red color. I stood up and folded my newspaper triangularly to indicate my understanding and I headed out, but just before I left she made a joke about there being too much sugar in all the drinks. I had everything I needed.It didn t take me long. There it was- parked in front of a flower shop across from an auto repair place. I checked the seat pocket on the passenger side and removed the small wooden box that had been left for me. I replaced it with the customary $20 bill folded into a heart shape, and went in to ask if I could get an oil change and a tire rotation. They informed me that they would be able to have it ready by 10: 25, and so I knew the hospital room I was headed to. Then they recommended I switch to winter tires, so I knew I d be taking the back entrance of the hospital that lies at the top of the hill.It can be hard to reconnect with a relative, especially when they re sick. It takes a village sometimes to make those connections work. I ll be forever grateful for those who helped me track her down and see her. I only wish I could say I had found the person who had given her the poison in the first place. Someday, with the help of more friends I m sure we ll make things right.

Chad is very knowledgeable. I went to get my Jeep Patriot serviced as it was having problems. He referred me to another shop that services transmissions. I now have a mechanic for as long as I stay here in Altoona.

My car wouldn't start at 8am and they were open and able to help me after a friend jumped it. Free installation with the new battery. Super friendly and they offer a first time discount .

I took my car there for the first time today and I am happy with the service. They were able to get me in that same day and they were really fast. The guys in there were friendly and I have no complaints!

I've had the same car for the last 11 years, and each time it has had a problem that didn't require body work, I've taken it to Bender's with out fail. They find the solution to your problem once you get your vehicle in the shop and do all the work as fast as they can. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and are always clear about the cost of the repairs.

I contacted this place after hours and left a message for them to call me back. When I never heard back from them I called to talk about getting a quote. The gentlemen on the phone said that I would need to come in. He told me that there hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm. I told him that I work in State College so I would try to make it in before they close at 5 or first thing in the morning. I then rush home from State College to get there before 5 only to find that at 4:35 they where closed and gone for the night.

Chad got me in and out quickly for an oil change. So much cheaper and better than Jiffy Lube. Wish you had Saturday hours.

I asked about a tune up n he answered, very matter-of -fact he was booked and then going on vacation. I'm sorry I didn't get that memo

Went there to get my Car inspected..Couldn't get it done because my driver side window isn't working..Was told it wont pass because of that..I have had other cars that the window didn't work and it passed...I think they were just trying to make more money by saying my car wont pass with the window being broke so that way I would agree to let them fix it
