They held my car for 3 weeks, did no work then used the excuse "oh bmws are too hard for us" . Pathetic. This place sucks. DO NOT GO HERE.Didn't even have decency to call me. I have an injured spine, I'll do it myself. Thanks guys!By the way I meant to leave 0 stars, wouldn't let me

Real quick, rebuilt our GMC Acadia transmission in a few days for a fair price. It is working great now. No more surging and shift stutter. Pat, the owner, is very helpful and very nice to deal with.

When my transmission died, I called several shops in the area. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. I couldn't get clear costs or timelines from many shops...until I called AAMCO in Altoona. They were, by far, the most helpful. They were very friendly and repaired my car quickly at a great price. They did a great job replacing my transmission and let me know of any issues. My only issue is my car went in with a dash cam and came out without it. Other than the missing dash cam, I'd highly recommend them.

Have a 2001 silverado had a company build me a transmission was in for 1000 miles was told was installed wrong. Went to Pat as they are great friends of the family and I know there work is outstanding. Had my transmission done and built in a few days had it in and truck has 13k on it since build and its pulled towed hauled everything and more then I'll ever need. Truck has 322k on it and I'm glad he was my choice to go. Nothing is ever cheap but they say you get what you pay for and this is true. I would never reccomend anyone else. They know what they are doing and they stand behind there product. I recomend 1000%.

Picked my truck up today after having a full rebuild on the transmission and I am extremely happy. I gave it a hard run back to Johnstown from Altoona. It would kick into overdrive going up those hills and climb them without any issues. It was smooth, very smooth.Pat was straight forward, very polite and courteous. I dropped it off on Thursday and picked it up the following Wednesday. The service was fast and professional. Thanks again, Pat and God bless.

They saved me a lot of trouble with my truck. I chose aamco because it is a name i trust. And they are actually a family owned business and treated me like family for sure. I love my truck so thank you for getting me taken care of at a good price.

I'm One Step Above Construction and had my van transmission done it works amazing and they are very professional good prices and fast turn arounds had my van back in two days. Means alot due to my Van runs my business.

The Manager, Mr. Ott is a very nice man. Let's you know what the problem us up front and how much it will be to fix it. I've mentioned this place to several people since I've been here. Quality work!!

Quotes me 1,500 just to change a clutch...double of what everyone else quotes me...EVEN THE JEEP DEALER WAS CHEAPER....jeep only quotes me 900....ended up getting it done by a local mechanic for 700. Only go here if you want to pay double of what everyone else charges
