Last year I had my shocks replaced and I recently returned to have a valve cover and control arm bushings replaced on my 2011 BMW 328i at #1 Automotive and Performance. I ve also had him change my oil. It s hard to find anyone in the area to do work on BMWs and #1 Automotive and Performance exceeded my expectations. Although this is not a BMW specialty garage, the owner Matt is very knowledgeable and thorough. He s also honest and affordable. The garage is very clean and organized. My car has over 220,000 miles on it and he gave me a very thorough analysis of all the systems in my car. #1 Automotive and Performance is definitely my go to for any regular maintenance needs or repairs.

Relocated back to Hollidaysburg and was looking for a trustworthy, honest mechanic. Grateful for reviews that helped point me in the right direction. Quick response to scheduling, easy drop box for drop off & seamless communication. Shop is clean, convenient location & best yet it s affordable! My favorite part is to establish a relationship he provided a detailed report as history with pics so we can go back if there s any maintenance issues we want to keep a watch on. Stop your search and support local. You won t be disappointed.

Was heading towards the hospital for appointment and my car started steaming. Pulled in to #1 Auto& performance. Waited till it opened, Matt came out to see what was wrong. Super Super nice guy. He fixed it so I could make my appointment and came back after and he replaced what need to be. The best part is he doesn't charge much to help you out. If any. You all need to go to Matt. You won't go wrong. God bless you all.

Recently had a stage 2 clutch installed on my gti by Matt and couldn't be more impressed with his work. The man continued to work through the weekend (his days off) to make sure I got my car back in time. He was super thorough as far as keeping me update along the way and took pictures to show exactly what took place and why. If you're looking for someone who knows their craft and will steer you in the correct direction while providing exceptional customer service at a VERY reasonable rate, please give him a try! Had issues with my vehicle, thought to check this business out the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful scheduled a time to drop off so they could look at it and figure out whats wrong upon arrival entering the building it was very clean and organized friendly atmosphere the owner or worker at establishment very welcoming and explained everything he offered to check everything even things I didn't know were wrong, got right to work. Called me later with the updates and explained everything thoroughly and understanding, they were nice enough to take the entire day to make sure my car was given back to me by the end of the day today and even gave discounts and discovered and fixed issues that I wasn't already aware of with no extra charges or fees! All I can say is that was the best customer service I've ever been given and I'm truly glad I chose this business for my auto repair needs!! Went back today returning customer, he had replaced my rear brakes and rotors and gave discounts and did work for free on my back lights! This is one of the easiest reviews I've ever written. I recently had Mat do a bunch of work on my car, and he made sure to keep in touch with me the entire time and sent me a bunch of photos with descriptions of what was wrong. On top of all that he found a couple of workarounds for some of the problems that saved a ton of time and money without compromising the quality of the job. I highly recommend #1 Automotive and Performance for any problems you have with your vehicle. I was fortunate enough that they got me in and out quick, especially being last minute and its my everyday vehicle. Matt will take care of your vehicle like it is his own. Will also take his time and explain the process of the repair instead of rushing you out the door like most garages. Give Matt a call for all your vehicle needs!

My check engine light came on and my car was making a weird noise. I called and got the car in right away! They got the quote to me right away. I thought my car needed brakes as well but they looked at them and they were good, found the source of the noise. Super honest about what the car needed. Very very reasonably price and they gave me a discount for military service!!! I will only be using this repair shop in the future!!!! I highly highly recommend!!!!! I have taken multiple vehicles to Mat, and each one has been repaired in a fast timely manner and the repair has not cost an outrageous amount. He is fair and does an amazing job!

This is a great shop and a very honest and fair owner, he always makes sure to inspect everything on the vehicle and informs you of anything else that may be wrong or is getting worn out. Very fair prices and always gets my Dakota fixed up!

I want to say thank you to the man who came to change my tire! I was across the street going to a pediatrician office and I drove to close to the curb and POPPED MY TIRE! Well road side assistant wasn't any help cause they gave me a time frame of 45 min to and hour. So this gentleman from Automotive and performance went out of his way and changed my tire in no time!
