Keith and Matt took good care of me and my car. Found me a better deal on tires than what I had picked out online. Good crew at the Allison park location.

Changing this now since my previous 5-star is now out the window. I recently went in for an oil change and inspection. I later received a call claiming that I had $1,550 of repairs in order to pass inspection. After a quick panic, I got a second opinion and then told Pep Boys to take it off the lift. They called back a few minutes later, saying that none of it was required for inspection and that they were putting my sticker on the car, and apologized for the mistake.I'd have accepted this as a mistake- but it is the second time it happened here. They previously piled on charges for my wife during her inspection last year which I had to go into the shop to rectify; the attendant even laughed when I called out the $80 charge for a glove-box cabin air filter replacement - which they told my wife was required for inspection and completed without her approval.To make matters worse- they told me about a small piece of metal that was grinding following my tire replacement (from different shop) a week earlier, and that they would grind it off for free. After catching them trying to pile on charges- I found that piece was still grinding as loud as ever on my way home.I agree with another recent review that a leadership change is the root cause here. I had two great experiences here in 2021/22, but the two since have been abysmal.

I gave these people A LOT of grace with this experience, but they have proven to be completely incompetent. I had brought my car in for an inspection, and they claimed all of my breaks needed to be replaced, and that my turn signal light was out . I scratched the door mirror light that blinks and it was still working despite their claim. I had let it slide simply because it was scratched up and I would like a new mirror. Claimed my part was $400 and labor was $300 for a simple door mirror. Google and peers advised otherwise. Didnt have the part in so they ordered the mirror and said they would call me when it came in. Never called waited a week, and when I called they said oh yeah that came in a while ago. Upon wasting my whole day with another slow appointment and late open of the shop, they called to tell me they took apart my mirror and they ordered a black mirror for my white car and asked if this was okay. NO? WHY WOULD THAT BE OKAY?!?! Demanded a refund and no one in this joint could figure out how to refund my money. I work at a hospital I am constantly on call. I do not have the time to waste coming in and out multiple days for multiple hours even when I m THE ONLY CAR IN THE SHOP FOR HOURS. This place is absolutely ridiculous in pricing and reasoning. When questioned you can tell these people have no clue why they re doing what they re doing to your vehicle. This place needs help. Hopefullly someone figures out how to work their system for a refund within the next month since it s been over a 3 week process with absolutely nothing gained.

I scheduled an 8:00 am oil change and stated that I would wait for my vehicle. Upon arriving at 7:55 am the store was not yet opened and we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for a late employee to get there and open up. So after waiting to open up late i was told that it would be 2 hours for the oil change. I know that they allow so many slots for those who choose to wait and it surely does not take 2 hours for a simple oil change and besides there were no other customers waiting. This is my 2nd bad experience at this location. Its time to get some decent customer service and someone who opens up on time. After leaving I called Midas, didn't have an appt and told them I had to wait. I was in and out in 40 min.

Took my car here today for inspection. Was told I needed back brakes, rotors, and air filter, coolant flush etc.. was done in less than 2 hours and was charged $1,200!!! $600 was labor cost. How is that when they said labor is $150/hr and was no more than 2 hours. TOTAL JOKE AND COMPLETE RIP OFF Don't waste you time or $$ here!!

This is not a reflection particular Pepe boys just leaving a review on every place I can. I been asking for leadership to call me for a complaint for 3 weeks now and they don t care to bother. Clearly if something goes wrong they do not care to help out at all. It s a horrible business model when you can t bother to reach out after 3 weeks of calling customer service.Edit- I already sent you an email and all you tolls me is I have a case number open. Been a few weeks and still not a work from anyone.

I dropped my car off for an inspection and a tire rotation and for some reason they did an oil change as well and tried to charge me for it. The worker was adament that i marked it on the drop off sheet but im 100% positive i didnt do that. Thankfully they took the charge off but its wild they tried to finesse me like that.

Advised by Pep Boys that I need $1100 of brake repair front and back. Service manager adamant about the need for repairs. I refused the service. Took it elsewhere and was told that all of my brakes were in very good condition and no work was required.

Used to be a good place. Management must have changed in the past year. 3 times in a row I made an appointment, go in for my appointment at the scheduled time, and then either turned away completely because they're too busy, or told there's multiple people in front of me now (even when I had to first appointment for the day right when they opened....) and to come back in the afternoon. I get things get backed up, but no heads up to customers in advance and have them show up to derail their day further is horrible customer service in your line of work.

I made an appointment to have four tires installed that I had purchased from an online source. Pep Boys was a preferred installer so I felt confident using them. When I arrived for my 11:00 appointment I was told that I would have to leave the vehicle for three or four hours for the tires to be installed. The staff had a difficult time finding the tires for my car even though they had been delivered the day before. When I picked up the car I noticed that a valve cap was missing and that three of the four wheels had been damaged during the installation. The clear coat finish had been chipped off where the tire dismounting tool contacted the wheel. The manager came out to inspect the damage but denied that the mechanic had any responsibility for the issue. I noticed that the tires looked underinflated so I asked the manager what the pressures were set to and he said"Whatever it says on the door jamb". When I checked the pressures, they varied on each wheel and were 3-8psi under the recommendation. I cannot recommend this location and will definitely not be returning.

Horrible experience.... First they had me reschedule three times to get a appointment so I didn't have to leave car. Then, I was told by manager the morning I went in "your leaving the car with us today" Unbelievable! After this debacle.... Get ready to have them harass and sell you everything under the sun even if you don't need it. They said I needed front end parts on both sides and I told them my family runs a inspection station and I'll have them look at it. A week later I had the tech inspector I trust look at it... nothing was wrong and it passed inspection. Then, I looked over my bill and they overcharged me incorrectly for the wrong tire aspect ratio like I wouldn't notice. I had to call and go in twice to get refund and was greeted by manager "your killing me" because I forgot the invoice for my refund. Then, he didn't let my refund go through on my card so he could offer me a gift certificate.... no kidding.... and wouldn't give me a cash refund because the draw would be under balanced.. Finally after getting thoroughly harassed and options exhausted he decided to try my card again and it magically worked. After this experience... if you go here don't say I didn't warn you!

Came to drop off my vehicle the night before and there are no envelopes to leave my keys in. I show up at my appointment time at 8:00 the next morning (when they are supposedly open) and there's no one here.I called and there was no message saying what the hours are (the website and door say 8:00) so all in all, very unhappy so far. I will not be back.

I made an 8 AM appointment for an oil change, but when I arrived an employee told me that the manager was caught in a traffic jam due to an accident and that he had to be there to open. The employee asked me if I could return around 10 AM. I came back at 10 AM, the manager apologized and my auto was immediately taken in for the oil change. After the oil change was complete the manager apologized again and gave me a 50% discount off of my bill.

Horrible experience. I scheduled online for an AC check and when I came in I was forced to schedule another time in advance. I talked to Rick about 8 in the morning today 8/12 and come in to find that he scheduled me for 5 pm??? They wanted to charge me $1600 for my AC compressor!! I called Firestone and they quoted me for a whopping $500 cheaper. And if you want an oil change? DO NOT GO HERE. you could go to Walmart in Gibsonia for cheaper or several other places besides these scammers.

The Pep Boys team did a fantastic job with my repair! The part that needed repaired was under warranty, which Pep Boys assured me of, following the drop off of my vehicle. Pep Boys was able to complete the repair of my car, completely free of cost, which was a delight! I had no idea the part was under warranty, so for the Team to go out of their way to notify me of this, was a real money saver, and is something you do not usually receieve from most Auto Repair services!

Two months ago I blew my tire out on a Sunday. Walked into a different location who couldn t see me that day and wasn t very nice about it and they couldn t lend any help in the sense of recommending another place to go. I called this location and told them I was in dire need between having work and other obligations. They had an opening that after noon. They kept me informed every step. I ended up having to get all new tires and they cut me a deal. I just returned today for a leak in one of the new tires. They found it immediately, showed me, patched it, and covered the cost. Truly great guys. Definitely take your service there!!

Amazing service!! We had a few hiccups with getting the right tires because of the holiday weekend, but Rick in particular dealt with the situation with remarkable professionalism and flexibility. All of the workers who I spoke to were very friendly and helpful, and the work they did was fast, thorough, and overall well done. Most other places that I ve gone to for service I ve felt like they were trying to sell me something more than what I went in for, but this is the first place where I felt like the workers were solely concerned about doing the work that needed to be done and doing it well (shoutout to Josh in particular for this). Overall great experience with this team and location!!
