A HUGE thank you to the staff at Overleaf Lodge. We have stayed often in the past and now live one town over as we moved to the coast. A major power outage happened and our neighborhood was out for 4 days. The Overleaf had power so we checked in for a couple of days to get warm and rested until our power came back on. The staff treated us so kindly even though some of them had power out at their own houses. We received a discount and flexible check out times due to our being a local without power. We had wonderful breakfasts but the best was the comforting interactions with all the staff. Hey, even the contractors that were in upgrading the beautiful carpet were fantastic! All told, another 5 star experience at the Overleaf Lodge. Not only are they a high end quality hotel. They are also just super kind people. Thanks again!

My 5 days 4 nights stay were phenomenal. I'm from Portland, Oregon, and noticed rather quickly that there isn't anything involving Uber or Lyft due to it being a small town.Anywho, such an amazing breathtaking view, very soft bed, stellar customer service, fireplace, balcony, kind patrons, great internet service, fully functional library/ boardroom, so many amenities in the room and to top it all off, one or two of their rooms has a hot tub right in the front of the window to view the sunset and moon set.Complimentary breakfast that was week thought out and executed quite nicely. Great variety and quality guest service.Love love love and highly recommend.

This was the second time we stayed here, and each time has been fantastic. The rooms are very clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. They offer a free breakfast. The food was very good, with a variety to choose from to suit most everyone's needs. It appears the menu changes day to day, but we were ther for only two nights. The service for breakfast was outstanding, as we were greeted, and served, by Nicole on our last day. Everyone was very polite, cheery, professional, and warm. I look forward to our time there!

We are from the East-coast, but we were visiting our daughter in Eugene, Or. We wanted a little get away & Sheila helped us pick an awesome room. It was very clean and cozy. We had a balcony & what a view of the ocean. We loved the walking trails right out front of the Lodge. The grounds were kept beautiful & the breakfast was delicious. A wonderful property to stay at! A hidden Gem!!Nearby activities: There were great restaurants very close & one night we just got drinks , cheese & crackers from the lodges store and sat on our balcony watching the ocean and the sun set!!

Nice place! If you want to be next to the ocean, this is a great place. Very quiet except the crash of the waves.Power went out while we were there. The staff handled it nicely.Wifi was not great. Don't come here if you are planning to remote to work. You should not want to work if you are at Overleaf anyway.Walkability: Trails right outside the door!

First of all, the scenery in Yachats is breathtaking any time of day. When an upscale lodge is adjacent to the shoreline and the Oregon trail, you can t go wrong. The rooms are clean and spacious, the customer service is outstanding, and the breakfasts are delicious. This was the first time that we had to specify what time in the morning we requested breakfast, and then were handed breakfast vouchers for that time. It worked. The large reception area was well suited for breakfast tables, and we never were overwhelmed by guests. We enjoyed walking the trail behind the hotel and parallel to the ocean. Make sure to walk in both directions from the hotel, especially at sunset. I commented to the hotel receptionist that this area is a photographers dream. She responded that many photographer groups come to stay in the winter because the scenery with huge ocean waves is more spectacular.

This place could be considered a hidden gem. It's a small drive from Portland at 3 hours plus but worth the effort to get here.. The facility is beautiful and wonderfully laid out. It has a full service Spa which is compact but delightful. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The rooms are very spacious. The staff is very helpful friendly and pleasant. The views are outstanding and the Oregon Coast Trail is right outside your door. Definitely worth coming to and definitely worth returning toRooms: Rooms are very spacious. Nicely detailed and comfortable. They're very clean and well maintainedNearby activities: It's the Oregon coast so there can be a lot to do or nothing to do depending on what you like. Plenty of places to visit and places to go as well as just lounging in your room, watching the ocean or walking on the beachSafety: The walking trail can be a little uneven for people who have stability issues and somewhat difficult for people with mobility issues. If you don't do stupid stuff you will be just fineWalkability: The walking trail can be a bit of a challenge for people with stability or mobility issues. Just need to be careful and you'll have quite an enjoyable time. There are plenty of places to rest all along the trailFood & drinks: Breakfast at the hotel is small but tasteful. plus it's the Oregon coast so there's plenty of restaurants up and down highway 101 that are quite enjoyable

I stayed here on a girl's trip and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The spa was fabulous and the indoor pool and hot tub with the ocean view was amazing. We relaxed and were able to whale watch at the same time. The rooms are a bit dated, but the grounds are well kept and the people are really nice. We loved being able to walk out the sliding glass doors and take a walk. I definitely recommend a stay here!

The room was beautiful, location excellent. King oceanfront with a balcony and fireplace is the way to go! Get up early and look for tide pools and sea life including harbor seals. The staff was friendly, it was clean, spa was more controlled than a regular hotel though, breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

this place is definitely a cut above. We have stayed at some Hilton expresses and Fairfield Inn s, and this place definitely has way more charm. it overlooks the ocean. The lobby area is really beautiful and that s where breakfast is served. There s a path that goes along the bluff so you can go for a walk. The rooms are large.Rooms: large rooms facing the sea, TV was a little old school (not a smart TV) , rooms were clean, slightly dated style but no issuesNearby activities: oregon coastal sites such as haceta lighthouse, perpetua, tide pools, other beachesFood & drinks: they have the best breakfast , fresh and tasty

The Overleaf has been substantially refreshed since our last visit 4 years ago. The staff is wonderful. Even though their employee numbers are low, they work hard to make your visit enjoyable. The breakfast buffet had also been upgraded quite a bit. Plus, you can't beat the location! Yachats is a sweet, artistic, quirky little town that we just love! We look forward to our next visit!

Customer Service: 5Location: 5Parking: 5Cleanliness: 5Reservations: 5Comfort: 5This was a wonderful two night lodging experience, while we was visiting the Yachats, Oregon community. It s conveniently located on highway 101, and we were sightseeing the Oregon coastline over the Memorial Day weekend. We made reservations for this lodge in advance, and the process was very easy. This lodge rates are on the high side, but well worth it because of their location. We really enjoyed this lodge during our stay, because they have a SPA on the 3rd floor for their guests. Their SPA has sauna, steam rooms, hot tubs, massages, and other options. So after a long day of hiking, we really enjoyed the SPA.Our room was very spacious and we really enjoyed everything. Our reservation also included a daily breakfast which included most American entrees. We enjoyed sausage, potatoes, eggs, fruit, yogurt, etc. Everything we decided to try during our two nights, was well seasoned and we both enjoyed everything. Our overall lodging experience was great, and we would definitely return for another visit if we were in the area again.

Visited mid-September 10 -13 and would have loved it to be longer. We had an Inglenook King Balcony room which was spacious and nicely appointed. The balcony was a bit small, but everything was as advertised, including the ocean view. The staff were terrific, the bed was comfortable. Cooked breakfast varied from day to day and was very good. Easy walking along the 805 trail is a real plus, which leads to a nice beach to the north. EV charging was a real bonus with a Tesla destination charger and a unit for other brands as well - book your time with the front desk.

Everything was excellent but the only thing they should have is a bigger bath mat so you don't slip in the tub,

I'll have to say that this hotel was pretty nice. The location was a little far down in Oregon, but it was good to go further than usual. The breakfast was subpar, the spa and the things they offered in that area were amazing. Easy access to a walking trail around the Rocky Beach.Seemed like everybody kind of had an attitude but I didn't let that get in the way. It was a nice weekend getaway.Walkability: Walking trail all around the hotel connected straight to the rocky beachNoteworthy details: The spa amenities at this hotel are amazing.

We had a double queen ocean view that was fantastic! There was crashing of the waves as well as a nicely done walking area. Those fearless individuals even went on the rocks down to the water! But the environment made me feel like we were in a beautiful forest with beautiful homes here and there, with flowers blooming everywhere! We're definitely going back! Additionally, the staff are very considerate and helpful.

I received a gift certificate to this place and put off going. I thought it would be just another hotel on the beach. Once I went I changed my mind. The room was the nicest I've been in. The details and finishes are better than any hotel or resort. Judith at check in was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach and you can watch the waves break on the rocks from the balcony in every room. There is a library with games, books, puzzles, and coloring pages that you can use for free. They have a DVD library there you can check out for free at the front desk. Breakfast was similar the many hotel breakfast options, but felt like a step up.

I stayed here back in January 2014 and I've never forgotten about this place. I was on a very long trip and was very tired and in despite need of a massage. I found this place wasn't too far from me, I was able to get a fantastic room with the hot tub in the room, and was able to schedule the last massage of the day. This was exactly what I needed. Had a fantastic massage, went and got some really great pizza at the Outta Gas Pizza down the street, and then soaked in that hot tub while looking out over the ocean. Overleaf was exactly the place I needed to be. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'm that way.

Almost everything is outstanding. The room is very clean as are the grounds. The views are spectacular. Most of the staff is helpful and friendly.Breakfast is disappointing, actually no better than any roadside hotel and worse on some mornings. They post a menu but change it without notice. It's lots of egg, not much meat. I was told the little egg souffle was supposed to be cold or room temperature. Undercooked too I guess because I was barked at for complaining. They seem too proud to accept criticism, so it's best to enjoy the view and get breakfast in town.

My honey and I spent our 10 year anniversary together here and it was beyond perfect. The rooms were the nicest I've ever had the privilege of staying in. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had great service and a tasty breakfast delivered to our door. It was quiet and peaceful having the window open to hear the waves and the fireplace on for a cozy feel. I highly recommend Overleaf for a nice treat!

This lodge is a great place to stay if you want a nice Oregon Coast experience. It is right by the ocean in a cute little town. All you need to do is open your door and listen to the waves crash. The breakfast is great and changes every day. If you venture to the 3rd floor they have a full service spa with a hot tub that faces the ocean which is a great place to unwind from a fun busy day. This place also has a great little walking path that pops you out to a beautiful sand beach( I don't completely recommend going barefoot because you could step on jellyfish, crabs, and other critters).

This is a great hotel, with all the rooms having an ocean front view, its an amazing experience to wake up to the waves crashing into the rocks. It is an older location, but the rooms are quite spacious, although note not all the rooms have balconies which is disappointing if you don't get one. Everyone gets a drink when they check in which is nice, breakfast orders need to be in by 730pm for next day delivery, and it's honestly the low point of the trip. The food is delivered to the room at the time frame you select, but honestly it wasn't great.

Very nice comfortable rooms. Very pleasant courteous efficient helpful staff. Wish outside windows could have opened to hear the waves hitting the shoreline. Very nicely done landscaped property. A dinner restaurant for guests(by reservation) would have been a nice touch since they do it for breakfast. Yachats area does not have good eating options and there is no gas station nor grocery in town. Only has a Dollar store with varied hours due to staff shortage. This place is above average.
