I bought a truck at their Salem location and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very patient with my questions and gave me a lot of valuable information about both the truck I bought and other vehicles I was interested in. The pricing was also fair and the purchasing process was simple and easy. I would definitely recommend this shop!

Fairly priced cars. Went in to look at 3 different cars. They did have minor issues, but it s expected with used cars. Never felt pressured to buy. Patient and respectful.My question were answered. Good experience, hence I left with a car.

Bought my 08 Silverado last night and Super Happy with the Service and Expertise Sal Showed,very Proffesional and all around the Entire Experience was a delight and would definitely return.

I went here to finance a car. When I test drove it the check engine light was on and I had it checked, $1,000 repair came along with that so I had asked them if they could repair it before selling it to me. They were more than willing to work with me and repair it. Said they would take it off the lot and send it to their shop. I had called each week day to check on it because I was really interested in the car. Turns out they left it on the lot and sold it to someone who probably doesn t know about the problem that can lead to complete engine failure if not taken care of. Overall just disappointed.

I've gotten both my last vehicles through Sal's and I would absolutely recommend them! Their customer service is excellent! They work with you to make sure you get what you want and the don't try to up sell you or give you false promises. Even though their selection is smaller then some used car dealers, they have a good variety. Again, I highly recommend!

Pretty shady honestly. Checked out an 05 wrx they put on Facebook marketplace. Prior to the in person visit they were very responsive in messaging and eager to work something out. After a test drive and reviewing carfax I found multiple issues that were concerning. Check engine light flashing during the test drive and a code for cylinder 2 misfire. Anyone with car experience knows that could be a multitude of things. Then, with it running and parked sitting with the salesman, we both smell coolant burning... He acts surprised and says their mechanics will get right on it. This was 6 days ago. In that time, I reviewed the carfax and called capital of subaru, the car's last appt 6 months before the owner decides to sell... It was Brought in because of smoke coming out of the exhaust. I brought this to their attention and they did not respond on it. I left a voicemail yesterday asking if they're mechanics had looked into it. No response. I call again today and ask specific questions to only get vague answers. The appt still hadn't been made to have it looked at again. I asked for a specific date and he said a few days which means they haven't initiated action. I called him out on the vagueness and he started stuttering his speech. Still with no specific answer on when it would be looked at or any remarks regarding carfax information I discovered. It seems like they're only eager to sell to someone that doesn't know what they're looking at. Aka, a sucker with good enough credit. Once I Showed that I had a basic understanding of car mechanics, his enthusiasm dramatically dropped. I vocalized my concern of their validity, expressing that how they have been handling the situation after my test drive has lost my trust and confidence. His response..."ok sorry." Like he was stoned and didn't care.I'm pretty sure they ran a credit check without my consent as well.Just poor service overall after meeting in person and looking for answers.

This place has a couple nice vehicles but they are professional swindlers here. Bought and Audi and it had 14,000 in repairs to be done. Do not recommend

Purchased a truck on april 27th. Paid a $2000 down payment. On june 18th i called the bank that sal s financed us through to find out why i have yet to receive any paystub regarding when our payment is due. The bank had no record of our loan so I immediately called the dealership. The sales guy i spoke with said the financing fell through and the bank wanted another $1,500 or they needed the truck back. I said i would bring the truck back this weekend when my husband had the day off from work. I told him this was very shady and we just wanted our down payment back and nothing to do with their business. The sales guy also told me he was looking at my check and they never cashed it. I went online and found proof they cashed my check and called him back. His story of course change about cashing my check. Today on june 20th a repo guy showed up and took the truck. I called the dealership saying we want our down payment back and I couldn t believe they had a repo guy come get it after they never called us and informed us in the first place of the financing issue. They said they are taking the money for the repo out of our down payment. I argued with the lady there that handles the payments. I do not feel we should be responsible for a repo free when no contact was made and we had no idea what was going on. She accused us of having the truck for over 3 months. Which i find funny since its been less then 2 months. The dealership has hung up on me 4-5 times today. I call asking for a manager and they won t even tell me when a manager will be in so that i can call back and speak with someone in charge. They just hang up on me. I have filed a complaint with my bank and the better business bureau. Sal s auto is a shady place. The day after we got the truck check engine light came on and tire sensor light came on. They obviously tried to hide issues with the truck. However, them failing to contact us and i form us they needed more money or the truck back blows me away.

Sal is a good guy. If you buy from them, make sure you speak to Sal. The other employees were not very knowledgeable, yet Sal is good to work with. I originally purchased a vehicle, which severely needed an oil change, other fluids changed, had some imperfections, etc. I contacted Sal and he reimbursed me for the maintenance expenses. I was also given the impression the car had features which it did not, but Sal later ran the car estimate on CarMonster without the features, and the price did not change much, so I didn't pay much for the features which were not included.

Tomas, the salesmen who helped me, was great. The shopping and buying process was easy and pleasant. The whole thing turned sour right after I signed the paper work. I had secured the financing on my own so a day after I signed the papers I started receiving text messages and calls wanting to know if I had signed with my bank. A few weeks after signing I realized my old loan had not been paid. I started making calls and it turned out Sal's Auto had cashed the check from my bank a couple weeks early but still hadn't paid my trade in loan off. I attempted to contact Sal's and was told the person to talk to was out of town and they would be back by the end of the week. When I called back at the end of the week I was told that they were still out of town. I gave up on calling them after I contacted the lender of my trade in and explained the situation to which they gave me a 10 day collection hold. The loan was finally paid. As my 60 days were approaching I still hadn't gotten my registration or license plate so I contacted DMV and was informed that the dealership had picked up my plates 10 days after I purchased my new vehicle. I called Sal's and was connected to Sal himself. I didn't tell him what DMV had told me, only that I was checking on the plates. He placed me on hold and came back telling me they didn't have them. I then informed him what DMV had said. He told me he'd talk to the person who handles the title and registrations. I asked for a time line as to when I'd hear from him. He said he'd call me no later then end of day the following day. I asked if he was going to at least take my information down. He said he had. After 3 days and no word from him I decided to stop by the dealership. German met me with plates in hand. He recognized me from the sale. Moral of the story is save yourself grief and go elsewhere. Sal is unprofessional and not worth dealing.

We purchased a car from Sal's the beginning of June and had a satisfactory experience...until eleven weeks later we haven't received our plates or title!! Talking to the DMV, the process hasn't even been started and they asked us if Sal's had sent in the paperwork and fee to the DMV. We are trying to obtain this information and tracking number so we can find out if the DMV even received the needed paperwork and fee. We are pretty disappointed that Sal's keeps stalling and not giving us the needed information. We know the c-virus has slowed everything down, but it shouldn't stop us from receiving the information we need to proceed with the DMV! We would be reluctant to recommend using Sal's.Update 5 Dec 2020 - Our story continues...we have a friend trying to help us resolve our paperwork issue. Finally heard from the DMV and it boils down to the fact that Sal's did not submit the paperwork correctly with the DMV. Still hoping we can resolve this issue before the year's end, but not holding our breath...
