The staff, the location and the maintenance staff are incredible. Great hiking from the location and fun things for kids to do. We stay in our camper so I can t speak much about the cabins. Overall we really enjoy the location. The biggest issue is that they have an outdoor pool but it s not open in the winter (like other places at Mt Hood). This is very disappointing especially seeing we stay and store all winter. They need to reconsider this as it s a big negative for winter visitors. The heated pool in the winter is a huge perk. There are definitely some upgrades that need to be made and I believe some are getting done currently. Having a heated pool for the winter visitors would be so amazing!!!!!!Nearby activities: Hiking, Salmon River Windows, Mt hood is only 30 min away, playground, great restaurants.Safety: It s nice that it s gated. Everyone is very friendly and helpful to each other.

It's clear that thousands trails is working on the facility and improving it. The staff is amazing, every one that we interacted with was very kind and helped us out. The two ladies that drive around in the golf kart handing out candy were a delight. One thing I would really like to see addressed is the concrete foundation that is under the tire swing on the playground. It needs to be removed not just covered up. Other than that the facility was pretty good. Could use more gravel and/or paving in the camping areas it was getting dusty at times. Overall it was a lot of fun and we will be back next season.

The location is perfect for those who wish to visit short term or long term to explore by hiking or biking. There's a lot of great places to fish in the area.Great places to visit, shop, beautiful lakes to see wildlife and nature.Recently RV village reopened the pool, perfect timing to get this back I. Use for all to cool down and relax. Great job to all the staff for your hard work. Of course management has been a great help providing the support to making this happen.Place is open all year round so a great winter destination as well. The lodge has a fire place with a nice rock wall along with their fireside room, where you can rent for special events or family gatherings such as for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays while having the fire going as a great holiday setting. So my recommendation?Call, make your reservation online or over the phone so you too will have the luxury of relaxing, time to relax with nature. And those that like camping year round and love to travel? They too have a membership specialist or can help safe you tons of money with your new membership to the thousands trails. See Michael for those details, you won't be disappointed by joining.Hope to see you around, waving hello.Rooms: Great new cottages very comfortable.Nearby activities: Lots of areas to explore, fish, hike, bike, walk.Walkability: Exploring the possibilities of nature by walking around the campgrounds.Food & drinks: Great restaurants and other businesses nearbyNoteworthy details: The changes recently have shown the commitment of management and staff by elevating the look and feel of the resort are noticed and appreciated.Thank you.

We saw some reviewers put up negative reviews, so we were a bit skeptical at first. But once we got there, wow were those reviews off base. This is one of the largest, nicest, best featured RV campgrounds in the area. It is huge. The slots are spacious, well maintained and runs the full variety of what you need. We recommend skipping the full hook ups and getting the electric / water only hook ups out back if you want the full camping in the woods experience. The annual slots for the long time stay are a bit 'meh' (out in the open with little tree cover) but that is a non-issue for us since we are weekenders. They have paved roads great for biking, lots of activities for kids, clean bathrooms, laundry, pools, hot tub, game rooms, outdoor movies, great wooded spots... And the staff was incredibly friendly. We will definitely make this a regular trip.

A wonderful place to rent a cabin, particularly mid-week for a peaceful experience.Check out the dragonfly cafe for lunch and dinner before the yummy prime rib on weekend nights. Leanne, Michelle, and other staff are awesome!Lots to do and explore around the resort. Playground and pool are 10/10.

First time staying at Mt Hood Village Campground. It's late June, and the Temps are in high 70's and down to low 50's. This sure beats living in Arizona. You can camp under the trees or in a more open sky site like the one shown.Update; now its October, and leaves are turning yellow and gold. Little more rain this time of year. Still nice weather.

I wish our stay would have been a little bit more pleasant, we arrived on Friday afternoon I was able to get set up quickly, it was quiet and seemed like a very nice choice for a camping spot!...later that afternoon however all the unattended children started showing up along with the teens who thought it would be really cool to do Brody's and spinouts with their 4 wheel drive in the Rocky driveway! They had three teens on each side of a Pathfinder, yelling and hollering while standing on the running boards and holding on to the luggage rack while barreling through the property without care concern to anyone or anything else. Later I was informed that someone reported it to the office but nothing changed untill the Sheriff's were called in!By the time evening came, there were so many unruly kids yelling and running around that trying to have a good time became almost impossible. Parents who seemed the most important part of their trip was drinking or most certainly not watching their kids. At one point these kids near 10:00 at night we're back behind us breaking dead growth tree limbs and yelling about it thinking it was funny! Finally we got tired of all the garbage and had to yell over them to shut the hell up before we were able to get any peace! And I'm sorry, but the bathrooms were atrocious, so much urine and feces, dirt, dirty toilet paper all over the floors not to mention feces in one of the showers and one of the sinks! "DOES ANYONE EVEN CHECK THE BATHROOMS?" We decided to cut our trip short on day because of the conditions we were finding.Perhaps we just visited on the wrong weekend, I'm not sure. I know they need some sort of security checking on their campgrounds in order to keep it safe and tolerable for others staying there, we saw nobody and after hours you call and you get nothing but the phone ringing off it's hooked.I checked the reviews before we chose to book and all the reviews came back really good, so I'm just hoping it was a bad weekend however I'm not sure we will be returning.

The check in staff was awesome. The camp grounds is beautiful. Bathrooms are clean. They have a hot tub with a lift, if you are a person that utilizes a wheelchair. However, the cord was removed so it couldn't be used. Went back to the camp sight. Screaming kids shining flashlights lights running in and out of our sight. Called the after hours number at 10 pm. It's now 11 Pm. The kids are quite, now the parents are loud.

So happy to find this place! The yurt was great (a bunk bed had some broken slats but wasn't an issue) service and the hot tub/sauna is perfect after a long day. Steven keeps the place clean and everyone is friendly. The skylight was beautiful and the rain lulled us to sleep. It was awesome to have a spigot, grill and fire... The yurt has heat which was needed! Dog friendly! We will be back!

Great campground. Really pretty. Lot of amenities. Probably the best gym I ve seen in a campground. They had an outdoor and indoor pool when we went. They even had a cafe you could buy food at which was really good. Site was pretty level. Gravel. Had a picnic table and fire ring. Quiet. Lots of trees. Would definitely recommend this campground.

We lucked out with a nice large spot with trees and shade however, the positive experience ended there as the water was completely brown, like a mud straight out of the faucet, and still brown after going through our too powerful filters. The Wi-Fi service is worthless for such a large resort. The laundry room was absolutely filthy and there was trash all over our site. Very disappointing, and for a 1000 trails resort.

This was our second year hosting a group event at the Mt. Hood Village RV Resort and we had a wonderful experience! The staff are incredibly kind and helpful and the lodge offers a clean, convenient and flexible space perfect for group functions. We stayed in various cabins and tiny houses and our guests loved the accommodations. We are so grateful to have found this gem and look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you, Mt Hood Village!

I had to cancel my reservation due to a family emergency. It was within the window to get a full refund. Because I had changed banks after I made my reservation it has been a nightmare trying to get the refund. I was told today that it would be 3 to 4 MONTHS. You don't deal directly with the campground staff, you talk to Thousand Trails staff. They have been rude, not helpful and one man named Mike hung up on me. While the campground might be wonderful, I will not deal with a Thousand Trails property again.

We booked a cabin for two nights. It was right on the main highway and they were doing roadworks half the night and general truck and car traffic the rest of the night. The cabin had no sound barrier. We got zero sleep so left the following day and forfeited our second night cost. The cabins are in the absolute worst location and you don t realize until nighttime when the trucks are making their long hauls. All the cabins are in the same area. Will never book there again.

Nothing is correct on the website. They do not have fishing, Game Center, an actual lodge, or a pool. The sites are not cared for. The showers were not open, but my main issue besides ALL the amenities we picked this site for were closed or not even on site, was MOST of the park is being used for permanent living for families. We felt we were in a trailer park with 1000 screaming kids. Was extremely disappointed we drove an extra 5 hrs for what the website promotes. It was probably quit beautiful 20 years ago. I will say the people at the check in were extremely kind

No cell service at your siteWiFi only at the lodgeSuper inconvenient after a long driveCan t watch a movie never paid $60 for a site without cell service beforeSome campgrounds for a fraction have cell service at least. The grounds amenities cater to children. After seeing the hot tub I won t be using not much offeredCafe is breakfast and lunch onlyTheir camp store is one of the best I ve seen utilizing all of its space . Wish all camp stores did this instead of sell the bare minimum but no cell service in your rv for $60 is nutsThe tiny gym has functional weight dumbbells but the room is hotNo air flow and no AC

Giving this a 1 star review due to a major decline in groundskeeping. We have been visiting this RV resort for several years. When we first starting camping here, the camping loops were well maintained and the spots were clear of unwanted shrubs/weeds.Over the past year we have noticed that camping spots have become overgrown with blackberry bushes and/or tall grass and weeds. This past weekend we stayed in two RV spots in their newer paved hemlock loop which were completely overgrown with dandelions and other weeds leaving absolutely no room to relax and enjoy the campsite. I brought this to managements attention and there was no motivation to make it right or even care. I ended up digging up a pile of weeds just to enjoy the weekend.Very unsatisfied visit. IF we return, we will make sure to scope out which campsites are actually worth staying in first.

Upon arriving there was garbage outside the cabin and near fire pit along with a filthy child's blanket nearby. The bedding was nasty near corners and box spring, linens inside out and stained. We covered everything with sheets we brought and used our sleeping bags. The blinds were broken right above the bed so they couldn't be closed properly for privacy. No dusting had been done in some time. The TV had no remote but nice maintenance guy helped fix that. Shower is maybe 5 minutes. Do not use the water for brushing teeth , meal prep, or drinking (ick). I checked the adjacent cabin to see it's condition and what was seen was a window so full of dust and dander, I couldn't imagine anyone resting their heads next to but sure enough a family was in it that night. This place use to be awesome but is clearly being neglected and has been for some time. No pool still, building looks to be falling apart, lots of traffic in the park and can hear too well the constant traffic of HWY 26. If a burn ban is in effect, this place has almost nothing going for it now. Tent camping and RV camping is cluttered. Drive further for some real camping and relaxation. One should not have to clean up their Vaca spot because the job wasn't done ahead of time. I don't recall once seeing a cleaning crew for the outdoor bathroom facilities. Playground had garbage. There's no excuse for this as was given that the contracted cleaners were at fault. BS. We drove 5 hrs to enjoy relaxation at this place with family and it was more hassle than anything. There's no discount that fixes such inconveniences. Curious if any of this has been rectified yet?

A very large campground near the base of Mt Hood surrounded by hiking trails and the sounds of nature. Definitely take a small walk to Salmon River to view the underwater viewing chamber. We didn't know but not all sites have sewer connections so inquire ahead of time if that's important to you. Also the catv connection didn't work for us. Not a big deal but for some it may be. The spa area with game room and workout center looked almost brand new and was very clean. The pool was unfortunately closed. The store in the lodge has all the necessities in case you forgot something though the prices are a tad high. This is a gem of a park and you can't go wrong staying here. We'll be back for sure.

Generous with apologies but no visible signs of action to address the inadequacies. The RV sites are Lousy! Small, parking cheek-to-cheek with neighbors, not level and they could easily be so, no gravel - only a filthy dirt surface, not a blade of grass to be seen. I boondock on nicer parking than this. The other facilities like showers, lounge, play area etc. are nice enough but at this price ($100 per night for an RV) they ought to be.Better to drive another 40 minutes to the U.S. Forest Service beautiful campgrounds near and around Timothy Lake and others.

Pet owners beware! Our dog has been attacked by dogs running loose in this park on 3 different occasions ( same dog owner ) resulting in bites and injuries. Park management is very dismissive and does noting about the issue. Be prepared to protect your pet in this park......better yet , do not visit this park if you love your dog.

Overall a really nice campground. All the sites have power and water which is nice. It has a lot of amenities, however the maintenance of the amenities could be upped a bit. The bathrooms are decently cleaned but after 3 days there we hadn t noticed anyone had gone and done any replenishment of soap or tp or at least sweeping the floor. The pool was something that looks great online however the pool house needs some cleaning and updates. The pool water was nasty and had a black ring around the pool. It smells moldy. We will be back as it s nice and quiet and a great location. Just can t say I will be swimming in the pool again.

Stayed for four weeks and its a great spot to stay a while. loved the exercise room, and the pool and hot tub! I loved that it felt like we were in the woods even though my particular site was free from trees (perfect if you have STARLINK).only CON is the laundry room. Washers rarely worked. Almost every time the clothes were wet when the washer was finished. then you cant put them in the dryer! Just annoying.
