My family and I were taking a trip up the Oregon coast and made reservations to stay at McKinley s to stay a couple of nights and go crabbing. We had never been. The owner and Emmett met us at the dock and explained everything. They were both great. Friendly and helpful and we had the best time! The park was clean and quiet. We were headed up to salmon fish on the Columbia River but wished we could have stayed longer at McKinley s. We are already planning another trip and hope to bring more family with us. If you are headed up the Oregon Coast, plan on staying here and definitely go crabbing. You won t regret it! Thank you guys for a very memorable part of our family vacation!

We rented a water view site, I think this has been my favorite stay in our travels. Beautiful views, clean, friendly and quiet. I didn't see any children but it's mostly a fisherman spot. Laundromat was so clean, well maintained, a little store, and close to so many quaint shops, beaches. Our favorite was the Pacific Bakery one block away. They bake fresh breads, pastries every Thursday through Saturday, and it's mouthwatering delicious!

We bought a new camp trailer and booked a few spots along the coast to see what we like best and McKinley s is hands down our new go to spot. Kid friendly(my youngest son said his best pal is the nice gentleman that works there and gives him golf cart rides) dog friendly and yet quiet and clean. The crabbing rentals they have are top notch and you can t beat the location and service. Our new go to for coast family trips for sure.

The place was amazing, beautiful view and great weather. It was probably the nicest time I ve had at the beach. But the service was awful. We had our breaker trip multiple times because their outlet didn t have the right amperage. We couldn t talk to them that night, because their hours are 10-5. So we had to wait and tell them the next morning. We had been there since Friday, and checked out Sunday. When we did tell them the lady who worked there told us that they would NOT refund us or give us any compensation for our power loss. When we explained the situation, she told us that she was glad we figured it out and waved us goodbye. It s was beautiful, but I m not sure I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn t want to deal with an horrid manger.

What a gem of an RV park!! We had a back-in water site, which is definitely primo. Watch the tide go in and out, and watch all the birds. We took one of their crab boats out. It was so much fun! We caught 16 Dungees .sooo tasty! You don t need any experience. They will help you with everything and even cook them for you. The laundry was very clean. The folks that run the place are all incredibly friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance to the Ray s Grocery store, Ace Hardware and the most fabulous bakery, Pacific Sourdough Bakery, but only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are full-time RVers pulling a 45-foot toyhauler with a dually longbed truck. East for us to get in. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

This was a very nice RV park easy access off of the 101. Check in was handled professionally and took hardly any time at all. We drive a 45 foot rig with a 23 foot trailer hauling our car our space was not long enough to allow us to keep the trailer attached however all the spaces are double wide so it was very easy to put the trailer trailer next to our RV. Our highlight of the stay was the fact that this is also a marina and they offered crabbing in the bay. They rented us a boat, crab traps, bait and gave us instructions on how to do it. During our three hour crabbing encounter we caught over 100 crabs however only four were big enough to satisfy the 5 1/2 inch limit. They cooked the crabs for us for a small additional charge and we enjoyed them that evening at our campsite. Can t say anything bad about our stay here it was very enjoyable and we will definitely come back again and highly recommend it for people traveling as a couple or with children as there were a lot of kids here as well.

We took our RV doing coast to coast and so we stopped at KOA RV parking. Thought of checking out this place for crabbing. Best service and amazing experience we had. Anna at the front desk was so helpful with letting us know the best time to come back and was super helpful and friendly. Dave the owner was such a nice guy. Helpful with guiding the best location to go. We caught 12 healthy crabs. Then he showed how to clean it at their clean station. We definitely would come back and highly recommend anyone thinking of crabbing. Our trip was worth it.

Absolutely Fantastic time spent with family. We went crabbing and everyone caught their limit. The crab were perfect. Shells thick and full of meat, Yum, Yum, Yummy !!!RV had full hookups with cable TV. Laundry rooms were top notch even though we have full sized washer/dryer in our Motorhome, it was nice to use commercial sized to clean the blankets. Layout of the park is right on the water. Can't wait to go next year!!!

We had such a positive experience with our extended stay. Safe, quiet, and well maintained. Laundry on site is awesome and close to grocery store (Ray s). Office staff are kind and helpful. Only wish dog areas were bigger and having people clean up after their pets enforced.

Love McKinleys! Get a water view spot and watch the wildlife. Low tides brings lots of birds. High tide was a family of river otters. Right outside the cute town of Waldport so handy but quiet and well run.

Our family stayed at this park last year and they liked it so much we reserved a couple of the dry camping spots a year in advance. We had spots D1&2 right along the water and it is absolutely beautiful. We had such a great time crabbing and everything is provided. They even boil up your crabs right when you get off the boat for a small price. The spots were nice and spacious. Internet was never an issue, I had 5G the whole time and never needed to connect to the wifi. The laundry room had lots of washers and dryers. Bathrooms and showers are all very clean and well kept. It is $5 to fill up water and $5 to dump if you're staying at the camp. You do have to wait for one of the RV sites to open up to do either but it wasn't an issue for us around check out time. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. There are so many things to do close by as well. I picked the wild blackberries right on our site. We hope to return again sometime. This place is an absolute gem.

We had a great time loading up our basket full of delicious dungies. Clean and cook them right at the dock! Nothing better! The staff was really helpful every step of the way, considering we had never done this before, they gave us some clear direction. Clean boats and tackle too! Couldn't recommend this marina any more strongly.

Nice place. We were in non hook up sites in our motorhome. They do not have an RV dump for their no hook up site customers, which is ridiculous. I've never been to a park who did that. Beware.Update, response to parks response. Well, partially true. When we came in we asked to dump and they did let us use an empty full hookup site to dump, but we were charged $10.00, not 5. When we were leaving, today, we were going to use our friends full hookup site to dump, and expected to pay the 10 dollar fee again, but we're refused. I've never heard of a park who has no hookup sites and also does not provide a dump for free. We were directed to go down the road to dump. Inconsistent policies. First was 10, then they say it's 5, then last time completely refused at any price.

We Had a wonderful time renting their boats and crabbing on the Alsea Bay. The boats had crab pot pullers which helped us to pull the pots in. They were very helpful in guiding us to the best spot to crab. The gentleman who checked the boat out gave us 3 rings, some bait, and also gave great directions on how to run the boat. Great place to rent boats!! We will be back!!

Such an incredible place! We stayed for two nights on a trip up the coast and I honestly wish we would have adjusted our trip to stay here for more nights! We had a spot right on the river which was absolutely gorgeous. Despite the rains and wind during our stay , we went down to the dock right across the river and my young boys spent hours crabbing off the dock. It's a super short drive into Newport and one of the most fun rv parks we've stayed at in all of our Oregon travels!

We really enjoyed our stay at McKinley s. Our site was sufficiently big enough for our 36 trailer and our duallie truck (involved parking perpendicular to our RV but that s okay). There is a nice grassy area with some yard games. Bathrooms were nice, laundry area was fantastic and reasonably priced compared to other locations we stayed at this trip. There are dry camping spots nearby and showers in the bathrooms. Check-in was easy, staff/camp host are all very friendly. We were able to rent a boat to go crabbing right from the RV park - they provide all the equipment and instructions on how to do it. For a small fee, they will cook it for you on site. My family of 4 (two pre-teens) had fun being on the water and catching 50+ crab, though only able to keep two due to size restrictions. We will 100% recommend this park to friends who travel in the area and have already considered our trip back to the area.

Very well maintained RV park. There are full hookups, dry camping, and boat parking. It's located right next to the Alsea River. They have a boat ramp, and a crab cooking station next to the office. The full hookups side has a grassy area in the middle with a horseshoe pit, and other lawn games. The dry camping area has a volleyball net, tether ball pole, and a basketball hoop. The park is Pet friendly, and family friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.

Very friendly staff. Wide level cement spaces. Great crabbing area and they rent reasonably priced boats an tell you where to go to get crab. They have lots of rules, but they aren't enforced. Kids running around in road, dogs not on leash, rc cars zooming around dirt road.

We stayed in the dry camping area for the weekend and the waterfront views were amazing. Friendly staff, very clean, accommodating, spacious and kid friendly. Our group enjoyed a fun day of crabbing then relaxed fireside while watching the beautiful views. There are many things to keep you busy at the park but it is also located to many nearby attractions if you feel like adventuring! We can't wait to go back.

I have some family staying here and I love going down and seeing them. They also really love living here at McKinley's because its safe and clean and well kept. The staff seem super nice too. They have showers and a toilet if you need it and on site laundry.

Great park! Sweetheart for a host and beautiful spots on the bay. We ended up staying longer because we hated to leave. They also are set up with boat rentals for crabbing in the bay. Also....the prices for the lots and the boat rentals can't be beat. We'll definitely return for a more extended stay.
