My Honda Pilot stopped working right before Thanksgiving week. Every shop I called didn't have time till early December except Paragon. Chris got my vehicle in before the holiday and found out that I needed a new engine. I decided against fixing the vehicle but couldn't pay my bill right away. He was patient and understanding of my situation and allowed me to pay my bill within a three week window. Chris and his guys know what they're doing at this mechanic shop and if you don't mind paying a little extra for top notch customer service and vehicle maintenance, this shop is for you!

Chris at Paragon owns and operates a very honest repair shop. Chris has worked with my shop several times with diagnostics and repair. I Have recommended and will continue to recommend his shop, even for work on my personal cars. I trust his professional opinion as well as his employees opinions on repairs.

Honest local repair shop. I have a ProMaster Van. Reason for my visit, to have my van's front and back light fixed. The shop did an inspection and found other issues, which definitely needed to be done based on the photos provided by the mechanic.The Good:- send email with photos of repairs that need to be done with estimates on cost, which are fair- easy communication- local and easy to find- allow overnight drop off- Work was completed in a timely manner- Inspect everything on the vehicle (although this could have been more thorough as they missed a back up light being in op, which was the original reason for my appointment)- Owner was helpful about setting a priority on which repairs were a safety concern, e.i. brake system.- My van is running better than it was before, additional repairs are still needed.The "Bad", not really bad:- I had to take my van back in after repairs were completed because the backup light wasn't working and the front light was on but still dim. They were able to make these adjustments on the fly and I had my van back within a day.I will happily be a returning customer! Thank you to the team at Paragon :)

I was looking for another shop as finding someone you feel you can trust is hard these days. I was having a stalling issue, the prior shop said I needed a new transmission, which didn't make sense. A friend of mine recommended Chris and Paragon Auto, I made an appointment and met Chris, what a nice guy, he said my transmission needed to be serviced, not replaced, to my surprise it also fixed my stalling issue. I would highly recommend Chris and Paragon Auto Repair. They are my shop from now on!Services: Transmission, Oil change

Chris and his team always provide great service effectively troubleshooting issues with our vehicles, completing work when they promise and being authentic in what our vehicles need and don't need. They do not suggest extra work that is not essential. I've been taking my vehicles to Paragon for many years now. Chris has always been great at explaining what is wrong so I can understand. He's also been honest about whether something is an urgent fix or one that can wait. Which is great bc one of the cars in my family is 20 yrs old and I'd rather not poor needless money in it. Chris is also very easy to talk to and his dog is so sweet!

The folks at Paragon in Tualatin fixed my truck door hinge and worn out parking brake cable. So nice to be able to close my door smoothly again and park on a slope without fear of rolling. Thanks!

My parents warned me that mechanics were seedy con artists who over diagnosed and over charged. My parents let their cars fall apart, while my 2010 Honda Civic is going on 200,000 miles and running strong. I have to credit Chris and his team at Paragon with this feat. Chris is an awesome, friendly, down to earth guy. He is a knowledgable expert in his craft. When I get a diagnosis from Chris, he breaks the issues down in terms of priority. If something really needs to get fixed, he'll strongly suggest we fix it. If cash is tight and there's some work that isn't necessary to address immediately, he'll be honest and tell me it's not a big deal to wait a while. I know very little about cars, so taking my car to someone I can trust is really important to me. Chris and his team are excellent. Chris is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He is straight forward, answers questions, gives options and gets the job done in the time that he quotes. I've been going to him for about close to 10 years and have recommended his service to many. Paragon is aptly named in deference to Chris's service, quotes, ability to get a job done professionally and just being an all around excellent service provider. He is honest, easy to work with and best of all, accurate. He and his team are truly "paragons of virtue" in an industry that, in all honesty, has not always been seen as virtuous. And as a female, his service is as good as gold to find. We have been taking our cars to Paragon for 7 years. We ve had some fairly major/unique issues and the owner, Chris, has been fantastic. He is very responsive, always willing to explain things when we have questions, and always keeps his commitments about when the work will be finished. I very highly recommend Paragon!

I originally found Paragon as a recommended mechanic through AAA. I have been very pleased with my experiences so far! They have completed a variety of preventive maintenance services from oil changes to brakes and transmission fluid on 2 different vehicles of mine. They have done good work in a reasonable time and for a fair price. Chris is helpful with prioritizing his recommendations so that there's no pressure to do it all at once. The only negative I have to say is that I once received documentation showing the wrong oil was used. A quick call to Chris confirmed that this was just a paperwork error. A totally understandable mistake, but could potentially be an issue if I ever have to produce records for a warranty claim. Paragon Auto repair took my car with no advance notice after it broke down on the side of the road. Chris was very friendly and a pleasure to do business with, and I'm very satisfied with the work they did on my car. Any future repairs that I have done will be done through Paragon Auto!

I came to Paragon Auto Repair with my 89 Corvette, and anytime I take it anywhere I m a little nervous people will treat my car like it s a 2020 Corolla. I was happy to see when I pulled up that there was another C4 Corvette in the shop! Paragon took care of the stuff I needed on the Corvette and even replaced some old gaskets/seals I wasn t worried about yet. They did everything in a timely fashion and for an affordable price. I will definitely be going back to Paragon for future fixes on my Corvette.

I was recommended here by Tualatin Tire. I went here and will not go anyplace else. I have not seen a shop that has the mentality of I will fix this and not just how I can get money. Chris is amazing and is very honest and upfront. Single mom here sharing my experience at Paragon this month. Went in with a dead battery and possible charging issues to the alternator. They replaced the battery and said they replaced some wires leading to the alternator. I was overcharged and the car died the next day with the same issue I was having before. I called the shop and inquired if it could be the same issue again and they were certain it wasn't and they said they did not have space to look at the car for a couple more weeks. Worst customer service ever he was very rude to me on the phone he yelled at me and all around woman hater. Had another mechanic look at it and they told me the battery was not even bolted down or secured properly so it ended up killing my brand new alternator and I have to get the same work done again somewhere else. Could have been a bad alternator part, sure but I wouldn't trust them to tell me that when they can't even install a battery properly and they said they tested everything. 0/10 recommend. If you are a woman do not go here they will take advantage of you and not even do the proper work or look you in the eye when you pick it up. Stay safe out there ladies.Editing review to say the new shop that worked on my vehicle said paragon auto ZIP TIED a bad connector to the alternator and actually didn't fix it. I've been taking my car to Paragon ever since I moved to Oregon over 7 years ago. Can't believe I've never written a review until now! It's so hard to know who to trust with your car when you move to a new state, you just truly never know what you're going to get. From the get go, Chris has been honest, trustworthy, and never over-sells or exaggerates a problem. If you'll need something done in the near future but not right now, he'll tell you so. If he says something's gotta be done right now, I trust him implicitly. Their work is always excellent and high quality. I've never had to bring my car back in for a botched job or even for the same issue twice. Plus, my dog is best friends with the shop dog Bentley, so whenever I need to go in for anything, I also get the benefit of a doggy playdate!Can't possibly recommend Paragon highly enough. It's the only place I'll take my car.

I took my car to Paragon to have the brakes inspected. Chris was easy to work with, honest, and the cost of service was reasonable. I like to wait a week or so to do a review. I have an old PT Cruiser that I take extremely good care of. Well, I m happy to say so did Paragon! Quick appointment, straight to the point, no extra bull, reviewed cost, professional interactions, explains issues that matches my research and suspicion and finally cost was reasonable. I did my research as I always do and am happy to give a deserved 5 stars review.

We have been using Paragon's team for all of our auto repairs for a few years now and won't take our cars anywhere else. The repairs are done quickly and for a fair price. Very satisfied with my experience here. I ve come twice now for different tune-ups, the owner is so knowledgeable. I trust him more than anyone in my car dealer s service department (which is where I was going before). His dog makes the best greeter. Pricing is fair. I'm very happy with Chris and his team. He has helped me several times with my 2005 Toyota Camry. Lately, he helped me with some body work when I had a fender/bender. He re-attached my front bumper. I was really happy with his work and my car looks like it never happened. I didn't know he did body work also!

We just purchased a used 2014 Jeep Patriot & knew it needed maintenance. Chris at Paragon Auto Repair was friendly and courteous. I had a issue with my ETC & Traction Control light turning on. Chris was quick to get my car in the shop and back on the road again. We have an appointment tomorrow to fix some of the other maintenance needed on Jeep. We re very happy to find a loyal and trustworthy mechanic in our area. Based on other reviews is why we were eager to come here. We will continue to use Chris at Paragon. Chris is the most warm, no-nonsense mechanic I have ever worked with. He always gives us the most value for our money, and steers us toward the repairs that are most critical while offering optional services as well. I appreciate that he does not talk down to me, as a woman, and I know I can trust him. Paragon has performed routine maintenance and emergency repairs on our household's rotating vehicles for over five years. I could not recommend them enough!

The work is thorough and we are always kept informed on progress with no surprises. Have a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder that was making weird rubbing sound when turning at low speeds. Made an appointment with Paragon, they diagnosed the problem and repaired vehicle in a timely manner. Vehicle running good as new since.
