Amazing service and more than accommodating. My Silverado had a stutter while driving and I had it checked over by the dealer I purchased it from and they said I needed a whole transmission. They quoted me $6500 and shoved me out the door without another question answered. Then on thanksgiving week I dropped my truck off at Marsh (who I had originally taken my Ranger to) and even with the holiday they took amazing care of me and my truck. Good service is incredibly hard to find these days and I m beyond happy! I cannot thank y'all enough!

Great service. The owner and crew were easy to talk to and answer any questions. Old school shop in this new age rat race. You will not be disappointed.

Paul and crew are awesome. If you have a transmission problem, this the only place you need to know. Clear communication and responsiveness are hallmarks of a great shop.

Can t say enough good about Paul and his team! Like almost every other reviewer, I ve found the Marsh team to be honest, knowledgeable and fair in their assessment and interventions. My 2005 Camry needed a new transmission, and after it was rebuilt and replaced by Marsh, it had a small trouble downshifting just with second gear (it is now more than a year after the transmission was replaced). Paul was responsive and knowledgeable about what might be the problem, and has worked diligently to fix the issue, all at no cost to me as he has an excellent warranty policy. If you want to rest easy knowing that your repairs are guaranteed, take it to Marsh!

I went to Marsh Transmission for a new clutch and a trans rebuild on my R32 Skyline GT-R. What was originally supposed to be a simple synchro replacement and new clutch turned into a whole new gearset with a few upgrades. The guys at Marsh handled the work with no problems and went above and beyond to make sure it came out absolutely perfect. I can't say enough how impressed I am with their work. Their friendly nature, amazing work, fair pricing and straight forward honesty has made me a customer for life.Service: Transmission

Marsh Transmission is Amazing, and they didn t even work on our transmission. A couple months back we took our Ford Escape to a local dealership s service center to have them check our fluids on our transmission. A week later our transmission died because the dealership either forgot to plug the transmission drain plug, or didn t plug it properly and all our fluid drained out, or perhaps never even refilled the transmission fluid. We didn t know any of this when we took it to Marsh. We just assumed it died and told them to go ahead and start on the repairs. We got a call from Marsh explaining that they found no drain plug and the transmission was drained and dry! Needless to say, the Dealership owed us a new transmission and Marsh agreed to document all their findings to leverage against the dealership because we knew they were not going to take responsibility. And of course they did not. The dealership eventually gave in after we threatened to take them to court and supplied us a new transmission for free. All this to say, Marsh transmission could have said nothing, taken our money and gone ahead with the repairs. But they did the right thing and had integrity and let us know that we were entitled to a free transmission from the dealership.I really wish Marsh could have done the work on the transmission since I don t trust the dealership, but we are so appreciative of their honesty and integrity.

Wow, what a great experience! I called to get an idea of what we were facing with some transmission repair work and was just amazed at the helpfulness of the person I spoke with (unfortunately I didn't get his name). He was knowledgeable about the engine code error we are experiencing on our 2011 Subaru Outback and happily shared his experience with the code. We'll definitely be coming to them for service for our vehicle when the time is right.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Great people ! Great service ! They worked on my ford escape. Truely the best price in town and the people that work there are amazing too. It just so happens that I knew someone that worked there, and I know he is a great mechanic, I've known him for years his name is Shane. Paul treated us like family and did a amazing job on our transmission!! I can't recommend them enough!

Excellent people & company. Paul took the time to diagnose my truck, no appointment or charge and then was honest enough to refer me to another company who could better help my special transmission needs. Will be recommending to anyone going forward.Thank youService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Dealer diagnosed a rear main seal leak that wasn't urgent but needed to be done "at some time". After a year and seeing the oil leak get worse, I took it to Marsh, as dropping the transmission and replacing the seal is old hat for them. An hour after I dropped it off, Paul called me to say it wasn't the rear main seal, but the oil cooler housing - something they don't work on but which I can actually do myself. I was told no charge, even though I insisted on paying at least for a diagnostic, which was way more accurate than what the dealer had done for me. Paul still refused to bill me. This is a shop with integrity and has earned my trust for the day I eventually do need transmission work.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Our 2014 Jeep Cherokee had a service transmission light pop up and then our Jeep started driving real weird. Our regular mechanic doesn t do trans so they recommended Marsh transmission. Paul was super helpful from the beginning. He helped us figure out that it wasn t the trans but instead a software issue. He was able to help us get it fixed and also did a trans service for us at a great price! I would highly recommend. fair prices and good peopleService: Transmission

I took my Mother's car in for what one of my older neighbors thought might be a slipping gear in her old 77' Cutlass, and "Ron" there thought he knew what it might be. So I asked a few questions, and a few minutes into that is seemed as though my questions had run their course and I had taken all of his time, so I just decided I'd leave it with them.Big mistake. Once I got back a few days later, the same Ron guy had changed his initial assessment of the supposed problem, more than doubling the original quote. So after telling him I was just going to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion, he told me I'd still have to pay a fee for taking the housing apart, etc. Heh.Turns out my g/f had a nephew in his 20's, that also happens to work at Les Schwab and he determined that it may just be the transmission fluid and a few other tune-up related costs, which surprise... he easily took care of in just a couple hours (under the table) and I didn't even have to set foot back in a tranny shop with the likes of that iffy mechanic, who I could of swore the second trip there smelt a bit like booze.

I brought my van for a diagnosis. Paul was though & respectful & helpful. Turns out it didn't need anything yet. He spent alot of time running all the codes, told what to watch for. No charge! When I need transmission work I won't go anywhere else. Such a pleasant experience! 5 stars from me!

Ford Focus was having leakage issues and took it to Marsh. Fixed some problems that had been building up and took it home. Car was running but there was still something going on preventing gear shifting from moving over. Brought it back to Marsh and the computer diagnostics couldn't find the issue so they found the problem the old fashioned way, found a worn down piston and retooled it. Runs great again and no follow up charge. Thanks! I hope I was accurate in the description.Service: Transmission

I highly recommend Marsh Transmission! Hard to find honest, stand up places! Paul and his team are awesome! They rebuilt my transmission and fully stand by their work! They found some other non related issues and went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe to drive! So grateful!

Paul is a great guy to be the "public face". He's honest, up front, and tells it like it is. He does his best to save you money while making sure the vehicle gets quality parts and care. His dad, John, and the rest of the crew are just as great. John knows everything there is to know about transmissions and has probably forgotten more than most modern day mechanics ever knew. The crew is also very knowledgeable, within minutes they can usually tell you what the problem is. Also, they don't look to create problems that aren't there.I've taken four different vehicles with various different issues (from a complete transmission blow up on a Ford F-150 to a leaky pan on a Jeep Cherokee) to Marsh Transmission and each time they find and solve the problem. With one, it continued to leak after they worked on it and they replaced yet another seal for no charge. If you're looking to empty your wallet on unnecessary repairs, look elsewhere. These guys won't do it.I highly recommend Marsh to any and everybody!

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I have been using Marsh for car repairs for about five years now. I have *no* complaints. Had a transmission overhauled recently and their price was as good or better than anyone else, but the expertise and quality they offer set them apart. Running like a champ a year later. Several times I've taken my car in with a problem and asked them to do what *I* thought should be done. They looked it over themselves, found the source of the problem, and recommended the proper solution. They have no desire to do frivolous work just because they can. How can you ask for more than that? Anyway, I can't speak highly enough about them. I drive all the way from Hillsboro to have them do my car repairs. I can choose a hundred closer places (and have tried), but nothing compares. Hope this helps.

My go to transmission place. My first experience was I took an Acura in with a "thump" when put in reverse. They found broken motor mount and repaired. That won me over for honesty. Second vehicle I took there was a suburban with very failed transmission. They rebuilt it, and it promptly failed within a month. They found a bearing had been delivered to them faulty, rebuilt it again and would not accept a dime for the second work. That won me over for integrity and standing behind their work.

There are all the other transmission shops.....Then, this one. WOW! Dropped off my old Jeep because it had some transmission shifting issues and Paul diagnosed the problem and was up front and honest about repair cost-VS-value of my vehicle, and I opted out of an expensive repair and decided to get another vehicle. WHO DOES THIS ANYMORE? I would highly recommend this shop on integrity, honesty, and value. I felt completely at ease here and will definitely bring my business back to them. Computer diagnosis/test drive and research alone probably took an hour or better and they did not even charge me for it. Really cannot say enough...and THANKS : )

I would highly recommend Marsh Transmission. Everyone that I have worked with there (Paul, David & John) are very professional & customer focused. My prior mechanic told me that I had a transmission leak, so I went to Marsh for a second opinion. Marsh did a complementary test drive and leak check, including topping off my transmission fluid. They advised I had zero leaks or problems with my transmission. Thank you for the peace of mind. You have earned a new customer.

Paul is an awsome guy. Honest and extremely thorough in explaining everything and doing what's needed. I spent way more than most because I trusted what he said and wanted my 4r100 absolutely bullet proof. He did it way below the budget I had set. Will always recommend this shop to friends and family without hesitation. The new style valve body is perfect, no harsh shifts under light/no load but is an absolute monster under heavy loads only without the jarring shifting of lesser shift kits....

Had an issue with my shifter after picking my truck up from another transmission shop. They were able to fit me into their schedule quickly and fix the issue very quickly. Extremely professional, and told me exactly what they found and did. Even got a call the next day to see how the fix was doing. They have earned my business from now on!

Paul & crew took great care of our old Subaru. They cleaned up some mess from prior mechanics, and got the transmission/clutch feeling like it hasn't in years. The car is almost 20 years old and just about to hit 300,000 miles, but it sure doesn't shift like it! We have a 5spd, but they'll take great care of your automatic transmissions too!

I have a 1999 Volvo S70 with 190k miles that I dropped off after hours for their team to take a look at. The next day they explained that there was a broken solenoid that merely effects the gas mileage. Paul quoted me out $600 to repair but suggested it was not worth fixing. Paul was awesome to work with and I plan on going back if any further issues occur. Many mechanics are quite dishonest, but these guys were quite the opposite!
