Calvin at the Dalles bike shop provides an essential service for our town. His prices are super reasonable. I m not quite sure what I would do without that bike shop. Thanks Calvin!

Calvin has everything I need really does know his bikes and the prices are unbelievabley low. he has everything you need from chainstay protectors to mtbing outfits always come here for my bike needs! Even though the store isnt bigger than your average size living room he managed to fit everything you need! In a tiny space. Calvin is the coolest dude and the only good bike shop in the area he also has some cool story's and he has an awesome sence of humor once he brought his dog once too! I dont know if he's still open because he closes for the season but if he is come in and get a 50% off your purchase

Stopped by the shop unannounced on a trans-American bike tour. Diagnosed the problem, fixed it there and then, didn't over charge. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I wish I could tell you anything about this store. I tried to go here and shop and on multiple days. The store was closed way before the hours shown on Google. Friday I was here an hour before closing, and Saturday fifteen minutes, both times the lights were off and the OPEN sign turned off. I have to settle for an over priced styrofoam skatebording helmet from another store since I can't safely ride my new bike without a helmat.

Support your locally owned bike repair and retail shop! Because it's not only the best one in The Dalles, it's the only one we got! We are so lucky to have a talented bike mechanic and brick and mortar shop where we can drop in and get professional advise and grab an accessory or shop a huge selection of cool new and refurbished used bikes in every style and size at affordable prices! So tell all of your friends and fellow bike owners and would be bike owners to support this great community bicycle resource! Because if we don't this shop may not be able to sustain and like many other local shops might be forced to close... So bring your bike in to SPR for a tune-up and check out the shop, buy a bike for a friend! Then get out on your bikes and have some fun!

Calvin is a friendly guy to help you with projects for your bike big and small.. he dosent judge you based on what you have... He's a kinda guy that can share in your achievements in biking with you. His work is quality but he dosent hound you for things that don't need replacing.

Rolled in here after riding the Oregon Outback with a messed up rear derailleur, and this guy quickly dialed it in and charged me a fair price. Also answered my questions about routes. Fantastic, no-nonsense service. I highly recommend this shop.

I was passing through on a long tour and needed a couple of bike-shop only stuffs. I wish I had asked the guy's name! He was willing to sell me one of his shop tools cheap just so I wouldn't have to pay for new stuff. I spared him and his beloved gear ( he would have had to replace it) and bought the new. It was cheap and great quality! He has just what I wanted! Highly recommend!'

Had a great experience today at the bike shop here in The Dalles. I was looking for a couple of parts: one of them being a chain guide for an older mountain bike. The guy behind the counter basically told me where I could find the chain guide online and how he had used one in the past. And then he mentioned a do-it-yourself version that he saw online while looking up my part. Up to that point the thing that had impressed me the most about him was his willingness to send me outside of his store to buy my part while giving me the information needed to find it. Then a really impressive thing happened. It felt like a throwback to when customer service was the most important thing and making sure that the customer left the store satisfied. He looked at the DIY chain guide and said "I bet I can make that". At that point he started rummaging around in some of his bins, grabbing a part from here a zip tie from there a bolt from the other. Before I knew it he had made the chain guide out of bits and pieces & offered it to me for free. Whether or not this chain guide actually works or lasts is irrelevant. The whole interaction and the service given is reason enough for this shop to be my first stop when needing anything for my old specialized stumpjumper MTB. Thx

How can a person live in the Gorge and be totally outdoor-obsessed and not mountain bike? Since last hurtling myself down a mountain on two wheels nine years ago, bikes have changed quite a bit, and I was overwhelmed by all the choices and the unnecessary upselling at the bike shops in Hood River. I wasn t ready to commit to an expensive bike with lots of bells and whistles; what I needed was a sturdy bike to get me on the trail and into nature and far away from pavement, and to open up options for further exploration of this amazing area.I drove to The Dalles, walked into Calvin s store, and told him what I needed. After asking a few questions and actually listening to what I wanted, Calvin opened a catalogue, pointed at a bike, and said, THIS is what you want...you don t need anything else. When the bike arrived, he bomb-proofed the tires, and then charged me far less than the quoted price of the bike. I have no idea if he actually made any money off of me, but he was genuinely interested in my re-discovery of the mountain biking experience, and interested in getting me on the trail as fast as possible. Calvin genuinely wants people to love the outdoors, and to love cycling. He s an honest guy and I hope he s in business for a long time. I m SO happy with my new bike!

Two mechanics couldn't fix my bike. I finished Cycle Oregon and rode my bike with my Burley trailer to the Dalles from Wasco like that. I made it to the bike whisperer Calvin. Didn't even put it on a stand. What a blessing. I have 350 miles left, and I feel way better.!!

I took my ancient Trek 200 Navigator to SPR for a tune up and flat repairs a week ago. My kid had run into the rear derailer and bent it pretty good. Calvin did a tune up and found a new derailer was necessary to get it shifting properly. He also did a general tune on the bike, and it is now riding smooth as butter. Cost was just $58 with new parts included. What a blast to be back on the road on an older bike that feels new! Thanks Calvin.

Great to finally have a shop in the Dalles that has a great mechanic that's is actually open during his store hours. I sure can't say that for other repair shops. Prices are great and Calvan always backs his work.

Calvan saved the day for me! My husband and I were riding our bikes from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon and in The Dalles, I needed to replace my rim tape. Calvan took care of the problem quickly, professionally, and with a wonderful attitude. I highly recommend this shop and Calvan s expertise if you re ever lucky enough to visit The Dalles, one of the gems of the Columbia River gorge.

I have done business here a couple of times and each time it was so very positive and he either had what I wanted or could get me what I needed. This is the first place I go to get some thing for my E bike or our road bike!

Everything I needed for my ride in the Dalles that day. Then I realized I forgot my helmet in Portland! They sold me a beater from the back for cheap to get me through the day (in style!). Thank you!

You have been paid to do a job. You took the money. Why won't you respond. I've called you. And you don't pick up. If your not going to do the job than we need the money back. Respond. I'm a 61 year old vet why do you take advantage of me. I am going to ad. Last year there was no covid 19. And you never called me either. Over a thousand you have of mine. Please take me to court. Beware of Kevin. Trust you can not.
