In town for business and had a code issue. Car was running terribly. They squeezed me in and fixed my issues so I can be back on the road safely. Top notch customer service, very accommodating and friendly staff! Highly recommend!

I love my 2015 Chrysler 300S & I do research before I go to a new shop. I was impressed with the ratings here & I noticed the few poor ratings were unfair & inaccurate at best. My driver's side vents blew cold & the passenger side felt like someone was breathing on you!! I went to Valvoline instant oil change & they refused to fill up the freon and suggested J&H. I was a little frustrated due to lack of communication. But afterwards I was honest with Heidi and she had a valid explanation; & I forgot all about it when I got an Extremely low Bill, $320 and I am back on the road ice cold air Blowing in my hair!! Thanks Again Heidi and Jason, I will be back and I definitely recommend others go check it out; you won't be disappointed!!

The BEST mechanic I ve been to in the surrounding area! They fixed my ford escape in an extremely timely manner. I can t remember the mechanics name but he was great and kept me updated the entire time. Their customer service is amazing, highly, highly recommended! And the prices are fair, and a lot cheaper then les Schwab! Not only that but 100% honest as well!

If I could rate them higher I would. My youngest daughters car was having issues and we were already down a car (that I was working on) and she needed it for school and work. Dealer told us it was clutch & forks @ a cost of 3 grand. long story short J&H found the real problem and after diagnostic/new battery & real issue fixed it was under 1 grand. It isn't just the cost they saved us on but the service is out of this world. Their mechanics are actual mechanics that don't just use the diagnostic or OB's to tell them what the issues are but they use their experience and mechanical knowledge. J&H shows they don't just run a shop to make money at the expense of someone who is in need of help but they really care about the people and doing what they can to help fix the situations they may be in due to car problems. We won't ever go back to the local dealer or any other shop.

Can't say enough good things about J&H Automotive and Tyler! Daughter's car had a radiator issue on I-5 headed to Portland from Eugene, OR. Car was towed to J&H and Tyler was my contact (I live out of state and was trying to assist my daughter.) Tyler was helpful, professional and caring in our time of "crisis." J&H provided a thorough estimate of costs to repair and repaired as promised. Do not hesitate to use this company. Fair, Honest and compassionate family business. I highly recommend!

Great service at a reasonable price. While a bigger shop, at a dealer, couldn't even tell us when they could get to our van, WHICH IS ALSO OUR HOME, the kind folks here saw our situation and fixed our misfire in half a day.

While traveling through Oregon with our 28' travel trailer in tow, one of our rear axles lost a bearing. J & H arranged a tow off I-5 to their shop, and had us on the road again in 24 hours. They replaced the entire axle along with new brakes and bearings. I couldn't expect better service especially on the road.

Some of the nicest people I've worked with! They put up with me being indecisive and let me take my time to come to a decision on what to do for my car. Once the decision was made they had my car done exactly when they said they would. The drop off and pick up box made it 1000 times easier to coordinate getting my car there and back! So happy to have A/C again in this hot weather!

Our clutch went out on a Monday and they were able to schedule us for a Tuesday assessment when other shops were scheduling two weeks out.Meanwhile, our other car needed immediate assessment as our replacement vehicle and they scheduled us for that same Monday afternoon!When I spoke by phone with Heather (the owner) and asked her for help, she was able to recommend to me a great towing service able to bill my insurance without my having to go through the usual hours of Roadside Service coordinating.This community-oriented shop is generous with its time and the staff genuinely cares about my needs.Tyler in front office and Ben in repair have been kind and patient with my many (many) questions and share information about our vehicle's needs without reservation.Listening to Heather in-person "speak shop" with the staff and conversing more with her about her business background has proven to me J&H operates on good foundational principles.Just today, Ben spent more quality time with me trying to troubleshoot a fuel-smelling leak on the running car that my family is relying upon.I have found the best place to take our vehicles for their repair and maintenance needs. J&H is by far the best experience I have ever had. Jason, Heather, and staff are all very professional and pleasant to work with. We have had a fair amount of issues with our diesel car and Jason was the first person to diagnose the issue correctly, after seeing several other mechanics. We get treated fairly here and feel like family because of the welcoming atmosphere at their shop. They have very reasonable pricing and in all honestly, I don't think they charge enough! We take both of our vehicles here for regular servicing and any/all maintenance and repairs. I have lifetime free oil changes on our vehicle, and pay to have J&H service my vehicles because I trust them and they always do a magnificent job! Highly satisfied!! Brought my 2010 Subaru Outback in for an oil change and several other issues that had not been properly diagnosed by the dealership. They were able to quickly tell me what the issues were as well as fix them all within the same day. Our alternator died on I-5 the day after a holiday, 5 hours from home. We called J&H and they juggled their schedule to fit us in the same day. In the time it took for the tow truck to deliver us, they had the part already on site and our van was fixed and ready to get back on the road in just a few hours. A couple years back, I used to drive an old Mercedes. The car developed an issue with its ignition system, and so I ended up taking it to J & H. Long story short, they weren't able to perform the service the car needed and I ended up taking it to a dealership. However, they didn't charge me anything to take a look at the car and to let it sit there until I arranged to have it towed off. I don't own that Mercedes anymore, but I've since switched over to J & H for all maintenance on my current car. The work done here is top quality! The mechanic services I used previously always used to leave behind excess oil residue during oil changes that made the car smell unpleasant for a while, and guess what immediately stopped after I switched over to J & H? I appreciate their attention to detail, and their commitment to high quality work. They really treat you like family here, and perform their work on your car like it was their own. Was suck at the Shell gas station, the bearing went out in the front wheel. I called and a mechanic came to check if I could drive it to the shop. He said to drive it slow and they would be waiting for me. When I got there my van was put right in the lift. I was there all day and they even stayed after hours to finish. So impressive and very happy. I would recommend them

Performed a minor alignment on my lowered Fiesta st. Quoted $75 over the phone. Charged $128.32 when I picked the car up, a 60 percent increase. Didn't touch camber and one side is half a degree more than the other, which will wear the edges of my thousand dollar michelin tires. Pretty upset overall. They charged enough to do it right and chose to skip an important step in the alignment. When given the opportunity to correct the situation, the underqualified technician and service adviser actually yelled at me. Car started at -3.0*, I requested between -1.5*/-2.0* front camber and the technician gave it -1.3* just to be rude. I didn't spend $4k on suspension for cleetus the dropout to think he knows best, and if they didn't want to align it to my specs they should have said so. I have been in the auto repair industry for 16 years and this is the worst experience I have had with another shop. I was told to just shut-up and pick up my car, and not a word was said when I picked it up. Wild experience. Dishonest and unqualified.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

Back in early 2020, my Mazda3 was experiencing low oil issues, so I took the car into J&H Automotive. Scheduling was as easy as could be - online and the appointment was confirmed when I went in, and the inspection was as transparent as could be - with a full report provided with pictures of potential issues. I chose J&H to inspect my next car when I was ready to purchase one and would certainly do business with them in the future. I highly recommend them for their transparency and efficiency.

My check engine light came on and I had no idea where to take my car as I had just moved. J&H was referred by my employer DLF. I am so happy I took my car to them. Not only did they replace the thermostat but did an oil change. They also said my brake fluid was so old it looked green and moldy. Yikes! Changed the brake fluid. I had bent my trunk so it wouldn t close properly and they fixed it for me with out charging me. Best place I ve been for a long time. I think I found my new auto shop! BLUF: We ve been going here for years, and we ll keep doing so until they retire, or I stop driving.I ve been taking our families vehicles to Jason and Heather at J&H Automotive for about seven years. We ve had oil changes, brakes, alignments, custom suspension work, a complete Bullet Proof Diesel kit, and numerous other emergency services over the years.They are not the cheapest shop in town, but they will treat your vehicle like their kids are going to ride in it. They have always been upfront about their shop rates, and have been able to work around my budget when necessary. Sometimes you can put stuff off for a bit, sometimes you can t. Owning a car is expensive and so is keeping up on the maintenance.I would gladly take my vehicles to an experienced and straightforward shop like J&H rather than a budget mobile or work from home outfit. I started taking my truck there after getting royally worked over at two different dealer shops in Salem.I asked Heather once what we averaged a year in her shop (I like to budget as far in advance as possible). Turns out we trust them enough to spend about $3500 a year there. Keep in mind that we don t just get oil changes done. When something pops up, I try to get it fixed as soon as they can get us in. I recently had my A/C compressor replaced on my aging Buick at J & H. They are fantastic! It is a family-owned shop, and they did an excellent job on my car - plus they are very friendly!! I stopped by a couple of other places in town and wasn't impressed, but Heather at J & H greeted me right away and made me an appointment for a quote. They even came in slightly UNDER the estimated cost, so no surprises when it came time to pay. I highly recommend taking your car here, I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I broke down on I5. The tow truck company took me to H&J. I had a great experience with them. They fixed my vehicle in the amount of time I needed it done and sent me on my way. My husband and I and were in desperate need of a service. Gasoline was pumped into our Diesel RV and we were stuck. We still had to drive back to Scottsdale, AZ and had plans along the way. Heather fit us in, and they drained over 50 gallons of fuel, and cleaned lines etc. What could of been a horrible situation was competently fixed, even provided some moral support...they are wonderful, I wish they were in Az, they are the best!

asked for a quote which they said was free, they then charged me $172 and would not budge once. no fee was mentioned once. nowhere in the lobby or behind cashier does it say anything about diagnostic charges. I let them know financially I couldn't do it at the time and they didn't care whatsoever. So they don't tell you they charge but then actually do. I talked to 3 people and they didn't say ANYTHING about a charge. you are crooks and should be put out of business. horrible company and horrible employees.Edit to Heather's response: There's no way you would be able to look me up in your system because I didn't provide you with any of my credentials such as phone number, address or email.

J&H Automotive services all of our vehicles. Always making time for our trucks and cars! Incredibly personable and reasonably priced. We brought in our daughters car which was having an issue that no one else had been able to solve. After spending time and money over and over again at another mechanic, we took it to J&H and they were able to locate the problem and fix it right away. Absolutely love their customer service! Highly recommended!!!!

We had a very positive experience getting my son's car, which had been neglected for a while, back into good condition. Everyone at the shop was friendly, quick to respond, and professional. We received an accurate quote for the work in a timely manner and my son was able to pick up his car which "feels like it is a new car" on time. Prices were fair and customer service was excellent!

Heather and Jason are amazing to work with! Extremely knowledgeable with Mercedes and Volvo s! They take better care of my cars than the dealerships and for a fraction of the cost! Heather and Jason are amazing! I had my f450 towed in and they were so honest and awesome. As a woman going into an auto shop I m always weary of being screwed over, but Heather made me feel so comfortable, explained everything in detail and showed me all the work they did so that I could see it for myself. They are definitely my truck shop for life! They went though bumper to bumper with a fine tooth comb, found things that other shops hadn t, showed it to me, and didn t charge me for things that I didn t need. They kept me updated with phone calls whenever there was something new and got it done before the deadline. Highly recommended!
