Clean and comfortable room, the staff made us feel right at home. Our pets loved it there too.The only downside was that there is no area for pets to relieve themselves, the hotel supplies poop bags but the area is rocks. We had to take the dogs elsewhere to poop before bedtime which was kind of a hassle.

And if you wanted to sleep in the black out curtains were amazing.Nearby activities: Peddle boating is right next to the hotel and was a great way to pass time.Walkability: Everything was in walking distance so we didn't have to get in a car for our whole vacation which was nice.Food & drinks: The hotels continental breakfast was amazing I highly recommended it.

This hotel was fine. Check in good and a decent sized room. It was a bit old and tired but no issues with cleanliness and everything worked fine. The strip is just around the corner and it was a 10 minute walk through the restaurants to the big sandy beach and seafront promenade. To be honest Seaside isn't my kind of place but the hotel was good. Walking distance to Safeway if you don't fancy the fish and chip / pizza joints.

Stayed here on several occasions. There were several issues with cleanliness, inoperable doors and one of my stays there was a walk-in talkie left in my room by maintenance. It started going off around 6:30 am and I was unable to locate it for quite some time. A big inconvenience as your trying to get rest. I was given a $40 credit for that. The hotel thinks it s acceptable and I completely disagree. If there s an issue with your room expect to get points for your IHG account but don t expect them to compensate for their mistakes. Overall, I d look around seaside for other options. They will raise rates by 30% for no given reason during weekdays.Edit*To all those reading this, I did give it another chance. I stayed Jan 1st and 2nd with no issues. I came to stay again Jan 5th and was told I was on the do not rent list for leaving this review!! I booked online, paid and went to check in and the manager responding to this review cancelled my reservation and told me I can t stay!! It s actually unbelievable given the fact that I ve stayed at holiday inns all over the country and stayed there for two consecutive nights a few days prior. I ve never been treated with such disrespect by any lodging facility. I travel frequently and haven t come across such a thing anywhere ever! Management should be ashamed. You don t treat guest like this. It s borderline discriminatory given the fact I never trashed a room, I ve never had extra charges occur for violations, I leave tips for housekeeping and am always friendly. Seriously people, watch out for this place.

My family stayed here when we were dissatisfied with another hotel we booked in the area. We scrambled and booked this online literally 10 minutes before checking in. Everything from the moment we checked in was great. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. The free breakfast was also good. It's a couple extra blocks walk from the beach but I need the exercise. Would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel 12 hours before my hiking trip. I did not know what to expect but I was happy with it. Service was amazing. The front desk associate was very helpful. The room was clean, there was a mini fridge and microwave (so convenient). The bathroom is loaded with dove products and even a makeup specific wash towel. My room had a patio with views of the river and you get great sunset views on a great day. Breakfast was also included. I was happy with the sauna

Tried to pick up a room as someone was leaving since the extra bed would be clean and I needed it just for the rest of the night granted it was 230 but still, when and if people check out in the middle of the night the room should be able to be readied and turned out to the next customer. Given that lots of people are probly still looking for a place well after this hour trying to get a hotel at seaside

Wow. Read through all of the 1 star reviews and the indifferent replies from the hotel. Blood stained sheets, stolen medication, male employees bursting into rooms unannounced - find another place to stay. A few months ago, I was staying for one night when one of their maintenance employees suddenly burst into my room without knocking. This past weekend, I opted, at the last minute, to stay with them again. At the front desk, I'm quoted a price of $250. Later, my credit card company notifies me the charge was $275, so I ask about this at the front desk and specifically state, "She didn't mention all the taxes. Usually that's included in quote. If I'd have known it was going to be that much, I would've continued driving." The woman at the front desk made a frowning expression and mocked me, saying, "I'm sorry. Will that be everything?" It was said in the same tone as you might childishly say, "I'm sowry." Seriously??? This is your idea of professionalism? Won't stay at this place again.

This is a excellent place to stay while visiting Seaside. Wonderful clean rooms, all have king sized beds and enough room to call it a suite. Friendly staff, from the front desk to the house keepers. Small but clean exercise room, clean pool, spa, and dry sauna. Free hot or cold breakfast, decent coffee. Oh,...and pet friendly. Thanks for making my vacation painless.Rooms: Wonderful clean rooms, all have king sized beds and enough room to call it a suite. Friendly staff, small but clean exercise room, clean pool, spa, and dry sauna.Nearby activities: Everything is near by....a quick stroll across the bridge and your in the heart of downtown and the beach.Food & drinks: Free hot, or cold breakfast.

The bathroom was rather small with a weird configuration, but otherwise the facility was okay. The problem arose when I received a text to checkout when I hadn't even arrived. I then discovered that my reservation was for a day earlier than I arrived. So I got charged what the hotel calls a 'no show' fee of the one night room charge on top of the night I actually stayed. I spoke with 4 people at the local hotel, including the GM, all who passed it off to someone else. The GM finally told me that this was my fault and the charges were going to stand. The Holiday Inn corporate office was of no use either. If the hotel was completely full, I could see where they would have lost revenue, But we were there on a Monday night and there weren't many cars in the parking lot or guests at breakfast Tuesday morning. I also just checked availability every night for the next week and LOTS of room types showed available. This hotel is run by an outfit called Lincoln Asset Management who claims to increase revenue and reduce costs at hotels. It appears this hotel is struggling (Seaside in the summer should be booked full) and they will take and keep any revenue they can get. Also be warned that this hotel requires reservations be cancelled 7 days prior without a penalty, unlike most hotels (including other Holiday Inn's) that only require the reservation be cancelled by 11:59pm the night before. Again, another effort to increase revenue. I will never stay at this hotel again, and will avoid Holiday Inn as much as possible.

We look forward to our annual stay here for the chess tournament. I appreciate the carpeted, nice stairwells which sounds funny but makes a difference! Everything feels clean and well maintained. Staff was extremely nice. Pool and sauna always get used by us. Highly recommend. If you have a convention center event, you can't beat it. No streets to cross, just a nice bridge over the canal. Plus you can watch people rent the paddle boats from your room!Nearby activities: Seaside Aquarium (highly recommend) and downtown are short walks from the hotel. Check out the Funland arcade, especially the game Fascination. Or do the Tilt-a-Whirl and Scooters. They're worth the $5.Walkability: It's not right on the beach, but it's only a few blocks away. Downtown and the promenade are all a short, easily walkable distance.

I really enjoyed staying here, this is the most modern and updated hotel in that area. I stayed on the 3rd floor on the left, the view is of the waterway and it faced the direction of the ocean. My room was clean, the beds were medium firm, the comforters were fluffy everything that I want in a hotel room. There are hotels on the beach that are more expensive but they were very outdated looking, no thanks. For breakfast on day 1 they had cheese omelets w/ turkey sausage and on day 2 they had scrambled eggs w/cheese and pork sausage. There's also pancakes, doughnuts, bagels, biscuits, and oatmeal. This hotel was a wonderful spot just a few minutes walk from the beach.

I would never stay here again and we stay at a lot of HIE. My husband had been sick the night before so we got up early and left. Unfortunately, we left behind a bag of dirty clothed (who would want them) and it was obvious what was in it, wasn't even tied up. Also, left our cosmetics bag hanging on the back of the bathroom door with my medication in it. When we got home 5 hours later and unpacking our car we realized what we had done and called the hotel immediately to no avail they couldn't find it nor seemed to care. It just disappeared. Vanished. They said they would look and call us back, nothing. We had to keep checking. The manager needs to find a new job. VERY RUDE AND DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. It was either stolen or thrown out. I wouldn't stay here if you happen to forget something because they don't care. Very sad.

I stay at holiday inn express hotels often for work and this time was for a trip to the beach with my wife. The room was comfy, nice big bed, decent tv, amazing view of the river. Also the A.C. works very well. A couple great restaurants very close (yellow curry Thai is amazing).Friendly and helpful staff, clean room and hotel. The breakfast is not bad, same as any other holiday inn express, I enjoy it.Only downsides I'd say are the bathroom is pretty small but the water pressure and hot water is good. Also the elevator is very slow (first world problems amirite?)But overall a very nice place to stay with the staff, cleanliness, and view. Can't comment on the price as I got a free night from the points on all my other stays.EDIT: Isabel(le) is AMAZING. So helpful, professional, and friendly. She just helped me with a trip and I couldn't be happier with her.

Upon check in we noticed brown stains on the sheets of our bed, and then found blood stains on the mattress cover. We complained and hotel staff member came to changed the sheets but left the blood stained mattress cover on like that was ok. After the staff member had left I checked the extra comforter and pillows that were in the closet and there were blood stains on the one of the pillows too!I believe the manager Teresa Simplot, was the one who changed our sheets. She offered no explanation as to why she didn t change out the blood stained mattress cover, or offer us another room or any type of credit back for the inconvenience. We later tried to speak to the manager and she completely blew us off and wouldn t see us. We had to call back multiple times just to speak to her to complain about the condition of our room. She was so rude and combative during our conversation and hung up on us.Safe to say I will never stay in this terrible hole of a hotel ever again!

Hotel was good. Staff was very good. Parking lot was full on July 4th when we got back to hotel (I believe beachgoers, not hotel guests, were taking spots). We talked to front desk. Front desk staff called manager, manager had one of the employees move their vehicle so we could take that spot. We stayed about a week and had a good experience with the hotel.

The staff (Anita was very nice), she did everything to accommodate our needs. She was able to book our son's room right next to ours. The only thing that could have been better is the crib for our grandson, it was nice that they had one for use, but it was so low to the ground that it really was difficult to reach down into it to pick up a small infant and was wood. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was small and really the only place that was feasible to put the crib was right next to the air conditioner. The location was good. Enjoyed our stay.

Had an excellent experience. The staff at this particular Holiday Inn our amazing! The room was very clean and comfortable, the free breakfast lived up to my expectations one morning I had a cheese omelette with sausage links and I was really impressed with the pancake machine you just hit the button once and in about a minute you have 2 perfectly cooked pancakes. There's a great Mexican restaurant right around the corner and an Italian restaurant that looked very promising. Can't wait to come back and give them one a try.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The conditions of the room were horrible, dirty, moldy and the worst part were the BLOOD STAINED SHEETS. When we tried to speak with the manager TERESA SIMPLOT, she was completely dismissive, rude and had zero empathy. She never tried to rectify the situation with us but instead gave us excuses and hung up on us. This is unacceptable behavior from a general manager. Our room was a BIOHAZARD and should have been placed out of order. We eventually started having respiratory health problems after staying there. I would stay far far away from this hotel!!

Great location. Big comfy rooms. Staff has been great very welcoming. I stay here every other week for work . Breakfast in the morning. Only thing is I wish the elevator wasn't so slow. Lol..... but that's nothingNearby activities: Tons to do right down the street. It's located a block from the street all the night life is at.Walkability: Restaurants, retail stores, bars, and the beach all within walking distance

Holiday Inn Express & Suites knows how to create that vacation feel! All the basics were covered and then some!Conveniently and beautifully located next to the river with plenty of bustling excitement yet wonderfully quiet when sliders were closed. Our room, overlooking the river, was perfection. Evening sun on the patio and room for two chairs, side table and our pups to lay at our feet.Spotlessly clean with extras like full shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Plus ironing board, locking safe, blow dryer, microwave, and keurig coffee maker. Very comfortable beds and a TV on movable mount for easy viewing from bed or office chair.Other amenities included a delicious free hot breakfast (that rotated choices day to day so we were not bored during our 3 night stay). And I thoroughly appreciated the 24 hr saltwater pool and workout room. And the communal patio with gas fireplaces was an added bonus!Everything in working order and the staff was very pleasant. We stayed as a promotional offer, and they won me over! I will be booking again!

The staff is great. I can't say that enough. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The water pressure in the shower was off the chart. My only complaint was not being able to use Netflix or my Fire Stick, but somehow I made it out of the wilderness and lived to tell my tale. The pool and hot tub are great and the kids loved it. Having 24 hour access is a nice touch and a huge plus for me, as I never seem to get to the pool during normal hours. We had a great stay and we'll definitely be back.
