My sons Diesel needed some repairs. Dave got him scheduled in a reasonable amount of time and got his truck back to him within the time that was discussed. The prices Dave charges were competitive and reasonable. So far so good. Truck is up and running again. Dave has been a small business owner in this community a long time. I would use him without hesitation.

David and his team are top notch! From my initial call with him to picking up my car, David kept me informed at every step of the repair. I'm not a car guy, so it was refreshing to work with someone who took the time to break everything down instead of just talking at me. They fixed my clutch and brakes in just 2 days(other shop said I needed full replacement, David was able to refinish my rotors so I just needed new pads!) It's great to know there is someone close by who does quality work quickly and with the highest degree of integrity. I will certainly be back for any future auto issues and will happily recommend David and his team to friends and neighbors!

I have had work done on my truck and twice on my daughter s car for various issues. When I entered the office I was greeted kindly and with a smile from an intelligent girl with above average customer service skills. I apologize for not remembering her name but she has always been cool with all kinds of awesome in her assessment of my vehicles situation. They had my daughters brakes repaired that same day and saved me the headache of getting a vehicle for my daughter to drive if the work wasn t completed. I will continue to bring my families vehicles there for future issues that arise. I can t say enough positive words about Dave s Auto and employees. Thank You! I needed to replace both front and rear brakes and rotors on my Tahoe. I also had a couple odd things that my rig was doing so I took it to David s Automotive and told them about it. I am usually a HUGE target in these kinds of places, mind you. I know absolutely nothing about anything mechanical. Dave and Tyler were SO GOOD TO ME. They were fair with their pricing and most of all they were HONEST with me. I thought I needed something with my coolant replaced and when they tested it, it didn t leak.... therefor they didn t talk me into doing work to my rig that I didn t need. They were so professional and got everything done in a timely manner. They have a customer for life! Thanks again guys!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Battery

This is the best local shopThe crew at David's are fantastic. Very nice, honest, and talented crew. I was extremely pleased to find that they were happy to take on some "special project" work for me, which involved some complicated suspension work on my Dodge Challenger. Try to find a shop with their capabilities that will do custom work with owner-supplied parts. They are talented gear heads who love cars and take pride in their work. They treated my car as if it were their own and I have total confidence in what they do. My experience at other local shops has been good, but with David's it has been outstanding. Thanks guys!

David and his team were a great help to me with my Toyota Camry. They arranged an appointment promptly and the service was just as fast. They pointed out potential problems that may come up down the road but did not try to oversell or scare me. All parts that were replaced were shown to me before disposal which was very honest of them to do. Great little waiting area with candy, a television, and a Keurig machine. Everyone was super friendly and there was a cute little shop dog that greeted you as you walked in. Truly a great auto shop with customer service in mind.

I got an estimate from David for some work but ended up using a shop closer to where I live. That said, he was super friendly on the call and his quote was extremely competitive. And for that, 5 stars.

Have been taking my car to David's automotive for a good 4 years now. Before they were recommended to me there were a couple shops in town that would screw me over. The guys at David's automotive have always been kind and honest with me. I would recommend them to anyone

Recently took my Civic to David's because of a power steering pump issue. We got it in to them, and within a short period of time, they figured out it was a very small issue and fixed it no problem! Tyler, the service manager, was friendly and helpful on multiple occasions with multiple vehicles. He is very knowledgeable and offered a couple of options to fix each of my issues. It s a blessing to have an excellent and honest auto shop.

David, the owner, is always friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to working on your vehicles. He (or one of his employees) will take the time to explain the repairs done on your vehicle, and any other areas of concern that they may have found while working on your car/truck/SUV

I have used David's Automotive a few times now and have been very happy with their prices and quality of work. My last time I had my water pump go out and they were able to get me on the road for an important job that week.

Went to David's Automotive in February 2014. He came recommended by two neighbors of mine. Shop looked clean and organized, well maintained. I received personal attention to my vehicle needs, and he seemed to know what to do to take care of it. Although I received great service, the two stars are for the prices that he charges. He marked up a $400 NAPA OEM vehicle part, and charged me $625 for it, over a 50% markup which was an extra $225. I could have easily bought the part down the street at NAPA, and did confirm he used the same part. He also charged over $90 per labor hour, almost as much as a dealership. The cost to repair my vehicle was $1,200 so I called two other shops to see what they would have charged. I was quoted $550 and $600 from these two other shops. While David performed good work, double the cost is a bit much, and would have rather paid a small premium for his work and become a loyal customer, rather that get gouged at both the parts and labor. Shop around and get quotes from other shops, and compare before your work at his shop. If you can afford it, seems that he does good work. But expensive!!

Took my 2000 Chevy Silverado there for a oil leak. After 4 return trips and over $1200 and it still leaks oil. I will never go there again. Check out J & J Auto in Scappoose. They have done me good so far.

My Acura MDX wouldn't start. The lights came on when I put the key in the ignition but when I put it all the way in - nothing. No lights, no ignition, nada. I was in St Helens and needed to get to the airport and daycare - which means I did not even have time to call my roadside assistance. I called David's Automotive and spoke to David for ideas on what it MIGHT be. I asked for a mechanic's trick.David told me it sounded like my battery cable was loose or corroded. We both agreed it could be more than that but with the lights coming on, this was his first thought. Guess what??!? I did have one terminal corroded, cleaned it off and - VOILA! my car started right up.Does this mean they will get it right every time? No (who does?) but it means he knows cars. And that David at David's Automotive made a difference in my life that day. I would take my car there for repairs in the future.

Ty, David, and the team there have a great shop with a new garage adjacent to it that can handle just about anything. If you need work in Columbia County I recommend them.
