Very trustworthy and good people. They actually fix the car without trying to upgrade you to something you don't need, which would cost hundreds more. They have my business without question. 5 Star all the way. BTW... it was NAPA who recommended them.

We have had our cars worked on by Rocket motors for many years. Roger has always the best; best price , best service , best work. He knows the business and the work and people so he seems more like an old friend than a business owner and mechanic.

I took my car in for a diagnostic and they were able to get me in quickly and when it worked for my schedule. The man at the front desk was informative and friendly and they printed out the issues I needed to fix on my car which I liked because I always forget the terminology. The Today's Automotive's web app was easy to use. I booked an appointment. Wes called me to confirm and gather a bit more information. The work was done quickly and there was a courtesy shuttle.What they do they are good at and what they don't do, the refer to other good businesses.Their prices are fair. I called the owner when I was rear-ended and he referred me to a good auto body shop.

My radiator went out just as I got to work and I had to have my car towed to get repaired. My normal shop couldn't get to it for several days, so through Google, I found Today's Automotive and was encouraged by the positive reviews. After talking to Michael on the phone, he gave me a fair quote and was able to get my car in right away. After replacing the radiator, the water pump began to leak (gotta love 17 year old cars). After another day of work, the new water pump, belt, etc. was installed and I was back on the road. As a single mom just trying to have a safe vehicle, I greatly appreciated everyone's effort to get it done fast and right. I will be going back when the need arises. What an AMAZING job!! Couldn t be happier with my experience at Today s Automotive!! They have definitely won me over to return as their customer!! Mike promised me in at 7:30 and diagnosis by noon but by 10:30 he called and my job was done! Not only that but we thought it was going to be a big expensive electrical repair and it turned out to be a quick inexpensive fix, which they could have actually lied about but didn t! I m a new resident to Salem and this was my first attempt at a AAA facility. In short, the entire experience was a nightmare and I highly caution anyone against going here. That may sound extreme considering their overall rating here is 4.5 stars, which is was swayed me initially, but the service I received was absolutely unacceptable and appalling, and very confusing, for such a highly-rated AAA shop. I certainly wouldn t take the risk again nor recommend it to anyone else. From the very beginning it was clear that this office is not organized or puts their customers first. I never received a 24-hr callback after requesting an appt, so I showed up anyway, of course, to find them surprised at my being there and seeming annoyed. They took me regardless, and it seemed they were busy. The office behind the desk was full of unopened boxes and was generally a disorganized mess. I got no phone call the whole first day, and had to call them the next morning, only to get a quote for a tire issue that wasn t well explained to me ( it s flat and we can t fix it ), and I didn t receive a quote for the basic maintenance that had been done, which I found out at pickup was over $100. I had to flag someone down to come to the office when I arrived to pickup the car (having refused the quote and replacement of two tires over the phone), and he (a different guy than the first one) seemed disappointed and surprised I hadn t been quoted for the $100 work before coming. He did a poor job explaining what was done to the car and what I paid for. Obviously I had no choice but to pay for it, so I did, and then another customer jumped in to pay before I was done with my time with the mechanic. He took her payment and I awkwardly stepped aside, and then another staff came in (clearly not a mechanic) and just took over for the mechanic, and he just went back to what he was doing before, leaving me with a flat tire and wheel leaning up against my car outside. I went outside and flagged him again to come assist me, and before putting the tire into my trunk, he explained in more clear terms and showed me what was wrong, but also tried to push four new tires on me when it didn t seem necessary. I ended up scheduling an appt with Les Schwab down the road and getting two tires the next day, $30 cheaper than this place, and the tires I got are also better. Whatever great reputation this place had at one time has been lost and destroyed by whoever is running it now. I couldn t recommend this shop to anyone, and won t be going again. Also very surprised they still have a AAA certification! Yikes!

Bottom line: The best mechanics we've ever had.Michael and Wes have gone out of their way to help us with our vehicles in the last year that we have used Today's Automotive.These guys are the most direct and honest mechanics I've ever worked with. If they say something is broken it's actually broken. If they say it's fine, it's legitimately fine.They've handled our warranty company without complaint and with actual competence.They've given my husband rides to and from the shop when we've found ourselves unexpectedly placing our vehicle in their care.They've freely given advice when my husband has called them about a car problem he's trying to solve himself in the driveway.We are leaving the Salem area in just a few days and won't be living here again. Today's Automotive has forever altered my definition of a "Good Mechanic" and I am sincerely worried that I will never find another mechanic that comes close to the level of professionalism or competence that Today's Automotive has introduced me to.Seriously. Give them your money.

I've used Today's Automotive tow service (twice) and mechanic needs (distributor cap issues) and have received excellent treatment and service. Staff and management are incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the free rides to and from were well appreciated. They will always be my first choice for automotive services; 5+ stars!

Great service. Always honest about what does and does NOT need to be done as far as work. I have used them several times for repairs and the price is reasonable and work is done efficiently. Also, I have brought in vehicle with concerns several times and they checked it over and made sure nothing was wrong. Very good customer service and great attitudes would recommend highly to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

I tried Todays for the first time a few years ago when my alternator went out in my 2007 Honda. They did a great job taking caring of it. Went back a while later for another problem starting my car and they also took care of that no problem. Appreciated their work on my electrical issues.Recently I called asking if I could bring my car back again to diagnose a loud whine. I was told they were going to be closing down for a week a few days later, but they would still look at it. Dropped it off and got a call later that they thought it was a faulty alternator they installed a while back and they were going to replace it under warranty. They did that, but I got another call the next day that the whine was still there. They thought it might be related to power steering and we re going to replace a part. A few days later came and picked up my car the whine was still there. I was told that it was quieter but it was likely still there because it was just an old car.I couldn t take the whine anymore so I took my car to Honda. The service dept. had me start the car upon arrival and he was able to diagnose my whine instantly. It was my AC compressor. They replaced it and sure enough my whine was gone when I picked it up.Not sure why Todays couldn t figure that out, but needless to say I unfortunately won t be going back.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I brought in my 06 Audi A4 for check engine and AC repair. I go my quotes for the repairs and given routes I could go with. I ended up going for repairing the whole situation and was extremely satisfied with the service. Since the repairs, I have had zero issues and the car runs smoother than before. Today s Automative has worked with two of my family members car and this is the third one now. I would recommend to friends and family.

Read his reviews and they where pretty good and that is the only reason I picked this place. I have an electrical problem in my truck and took it in to do some test. Cost me $110.00 just for the test. They couldn't find anything wrong. Hoping because that they couldn't find anything wrong and drove my truck around to see about the problem I told him about, that I wouldn't get charged $110 as other people said they didn't charge them in there review. sometimes I guess that is the way it goes. I do have to say that the gentleman was really nice and he was straight up with me and told me he couldn't find the problem. He gave me some papers and told me about the proper machine I needed to try to find the problem.

This is your neighborhood repair shop! Every time I come in, I am always greeted by Wes, who is friendly, genuine, and sincere. I have brought my car in several times, and I am always satisfied with the quality of work they do. They are trustworthy and their prices are very reasonable. The best part is, they give you the experience of your local neighborhood repair shop.

We moved to Salem last year and found this place by chance when they had a great deal on Timing Belt replacement. Now Today Auto has become my favorite place for any car's issues. They are very professional and great customer service. All prices and fees are reasonable. The best auto repair shop in Salem, I wish I could give more 5 stars.

My mother used Today's Automotive for her car for years, so yesterday when my car was stuck at a gas station and wouldn't start I called them. I am so happy I did. Michael tried to fix it on the spot, but we needed to get it back to the shop. After unloading the car he gave my granddaughter and I a ride home. They got the part from Portland and got it installed and by 3:00 this afternoon my car was ready. Michael picked me up and I got my car. The total was even less than originally estimated. I felt totally respected as a woman going into an auto shop. We ladies understand that that does not happen everywhere. Thanks for the great service. I will recommend you to others!

Very honest people. Was told by a different auto shop that my catalytic converters needed to be replaced. Called around to different auto shops to get quotes and Today s Automotive wasn t just the cheapest, but they took a look at it and found that the catalytic converters were fine! They fixed a much smaller (and cheaper) problem and ended up saving m the over $1,500!And to top it off, they were all so kind. They really seemed to care that I got a good deal and a job well done. Highly recommend them!

These guys are AMAZING. I called them in a panic on a Thursday morning because my car was acting funny. I was able to drop it off shortly afterwards, and they gave me a ride home. Within 48 hours, they ordered the parts for me, repaired EVERYTHING, picked me up and got it back to me by Friday afternoon. If you need help, this company will go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need.

Todays automotive is great! They are always really fast to get our cars back to us! They also charge far less then many other shops in town. Since finding them we havnt taken our cars anywhere else. So glad we now have a reliable affordable and fast mechanic!

Oh my god! Best service ever! Low diagnostic price, and willing to talk about problem before i even brought the car in. Honest quotes that don't want to rip you off. They gave me a ride home and picked me up. This will be my shop from now on!!!! Thank God there is a mechanic shop in town that thinks of the customer and not the $

Grandma from out of town I just had my tail housing adapter put in by them give me a quote at for $500 roughly came out to be $750 or $669 doesn't want to shift right underneath the vehicle and my wiring harness three of my wires were ripped apart they didn't bother to try to fix those or let me know even though I knew about him when it had happened at this. They would fix it but that's what I get for thinking other than that I give him a thumbs up and thumbs down maybe two thumbs down I'm not satisfied had to drive an hour back poking in my truck with a breakdown again

I never met a nicer manager and staff. Thank you for saving me money on repairs for my daughters car, taking it to the dealer would have cost hundreds more. Even though I drove from Tigard to Salem, it was worth the savings. Your website is easy to navigate and the new paint on the shop looks great! Thanks Mike

Ever since moving to the area and calling most of the auto places in the area, I found this place has the best cheap prices for the best services. Being on a budget and disabled that makes all the difference.I recently came in with a transmission problem, and they were really great keeping me updated with the warranty people and that whole long process. I felt they were honest about their prices and all the work they had done. Wes and the team wouldn't let me leave until I was completely satisfied. Although I haven't been in the area long, this is the only place I'll take my car.And if you need to grab some food (mexican food a block down), snacks (around the corner and up the street a little), medication (dispensary couple blocks up), or even check out some guns(across the street); while your waiting.

Having called the Subaru Dealership to make an appointment for my "Major Service" and finding the cost to be estimated at $875, I was ready for a second opinion. I spoke to Wes at Today's auto and he was very helpful and informative. Yes, I needed many of the items on the LONG list suggested by Subaru, but I wanted to be sure. I do not want to skimp on the necessary service, but the car is well maintained. Why spend so much if it is not Really necessary? So, I brought the car to Wes on a Thursday morning. He said he would look at it and give me a call regarding what it needed. He called back after 2 hours, we discussed at length what was needed and what was "nice to do." Ended up with new plugs-most costly due to difficulty in getting to, oil and filter change, lube, tire rotation, brake inspection with full flush and fluid replacement, wiper blade removal and replacement (there are three), Safety inspection and wheel re torque. All this with Free shuttle service for $527. Added bonus-no charge to replace the wiper blades!Wes' original estimate for repair/maintenance as recommended by the dealership was close to the dealership's. I am not saying they are "cheaper" as an option. What I am trying to say is that they will work with you to determine what is needed and give you great service while getting it done. PLUS: the dealership does not give a discount to Salem Health employees. Today's gave me 10% off parts AND labor. Saved me $58! Today's is open Saturday and can do that major service then. Dealerships make you come in during the week-missing work for some.Thank you Today's Auto for the Great service!

These guys have not only worked on my car. But I referred my mother in law to them for a transmission.. not only did they take care of her in a timely manor but they went out of their way to accommodate her budget. They do amazing work and go beyond in custom service.

Wes was very professional and knew how to talk about automotives with me in a way which was neither condescending or too simple. He serviced my vehicle at what I believe was an honest price, and he should expect me to come back in the future.I greatly appreciated how he saved the old distributor which was broken and was willing to explain to me what happened to it in terms I could understand. He also went on to answer other questions I had about my car that weren't related to the service I paid for.Thank you Today Automotive!

I have been taking my car and truck to Today's Automotive for about 7 or 8 years now. They have solved problems that even the dealer could not figure out. They are honest and reliable and will work on a vehicle until the problem is solved. Super friendly and they can take you home or to work after you drop off your car. Great place to do business.

Took vehicle in for diagnostic/inspection that was paid for by a prospective buyer..Upon getting my vehicle back, I noticed the brakes were real mushy. I drove the vehicle a couple miles thinking the brakes would pressurize. They did not pressurize... The following day, I attempted refill the brake fluid reservoir. The brakes still didn t pressurize. There was a huge puddle of brake fluid underneath the vehicle. Therefore, a valve was left open or they punctured a line. The car was also whining as I turned. The power steering reservoir was also empty!! I called the shop the following business day only to get resistance/disapproval from the shop manager followed by the guy hanging up on me! Never again, will I allow this company to touch any of my vehicles or would I recommend them as a reputable automotive shop for anyone else.

I came here for a pre purchase inspection on a 2016 Outlander. They managed to fit me on a late notice which was great. The inspection was running a bit a longer than they anticipated but I rather wait a little longer than have them rush to finish the job. After all was said and done, they mentioned any issue they found and gave me their professional opinion on the vehicle. Overall a great experience with friendly customer service. It's also one of the few auto shops open on Saturday. No doubt I will be back.

I am not normally a review type of guy but this place is so very deserving. I purchased a used vehicle in Oregon and it broke down in Salem. I was on a very tight time constraint and they did their absolute best to accommodate me. The truck was not able to be repaired right away so the vehicle had to be shipped. they went above and beyond in their efforts to help me. these guys are the gold standard and set the bar very high. I wish they were here in Arizona!!!
