I had a very difficult time with my USAA insurance coverage and my electric vehicle. Mackin's is the only shop I could find that had the required certification, and thank goodness! Their email updates kept me in the loop and made a bad situation so much better. Shoutout to Greg! You are awesome!

BE WARNED - the majority of these reviews are from when ithis shop was Trachsel and it has since been bought out by Mackin's auto body. Mackin's Auto Body is the auto body shop people warn you about.My car was there for over 7 months for a minor repair from a rear end collision. I had to continue to call and go there to try and get my car finished and returned. Numerous times there were mistakes and things that were not completed. One time we arrived at an appointment to pick up the car and the battery was dead. They also left the trunk open and the entire trunk is now filled with mold. (no they did not clean it) Next time we went to pick it up and the hood did not line up or sit flush with the body. Again had to leave without the car.Today we went to pick it up and were told we had to pay the $500 deductible to Mackin's and to sign over an insurance check to Mackin's auto body, however Mackin's refused to give use the paperwork with the lifetime warranty Mackin's claims to warrenty their work with. They threatened to put a lien on the car if we did not pay. Upon getting the car home we found out one of the head lights that used to move when you turned the car was replaced with a headlight that was cheaper and doesn't move.Not only were we without a car for over 7 months the work was sloppy and apparently has no warranty. The GM is rude and condescending and has no desire to serve his customers and meet in the middle to make sure the customer is happy or to do that right thing. I tried to call one of the other Mackin's auto body shop's (giving the new Salem Store multiple opportunities to fix things) and the operational manager refused to call me back or help. He said I would have to deal with Salem. At the end of the day this is a very large and expensive mistake. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME mistake. Go to another body shop.

Be aware this is not Trachsels any longer. They will find any excuse not to honor lifetime Warranties. This is formerly Trachsels Auto Body purchased about October of 2023. Same building but new owner with questionable standards and ethics. Look at Mackins reply to most recent reviews with excuses. The same staff they refer to are the ones that created the problem of panels not fitting properly and are coming apart. They absolutely refuse to repair the damage they created. Do yourself a favor and save yourself aggravation and additional expense, use any other auto body company in the Salem area that will provide a service to build and retain long term customers.

So impressed with the professionalism, customer service, and quality of work! My Venza's extensive rear end damage was restored to pristine condition and fully recalibrated with the SUV computer system. Greg (Estimator) provided accurate information and kept me updated at every stage of the process. He went out of his way to be helpful and accommodate my needs. I couldn't be happier.

This body shop took care of us and our car from start to finish!! I dealt with Justin and he made sure our car was never left outside and the paint matches perfectly! We took it in for rust under the paint on the hood and Justin was able to get it taken care of under warranty!! They know how particular we are and just took the extra mile to get this car taken care of!!! We had to add the stripes 30 days later after the paint cured and it looks AMAZING!!! The guys at Trachsel did an amazing job on my dually. Super easy to deal with and the only thing they were concerned about was how I was treated and if I was satisfied!!!! Customer for life!!

From the moment I first walked in the door at Trachsel, I KNEW that they would be doing the repair on my van! They certainly didn't disappoint! The fender was repaired to new condition, the panels all lined up perfectly, and the work was done in a very timely manner! But best of all, they were friendly, professional, willing to help.....really help! Before they even scheduled the work, they pulled the scrunched up metal of my car away from the door, so I could get in and out of my car easier!! These guys are GOOD PEOPLE, and do a GREAT JOB!

I bought a used canopy for my truck, i called Brian and got a amazing quote i was surprised by the price he was able to beat the cost to get it wrapped! I dropped my canopy on monday and picked it up the following monday. couldnt belive how great it looked perfect match to my factory paint. cant even tell that its a used canopy. Thank you Brian and Team.

I give TRACHSEL BODY & PAINT, INC my highest recommendation:They did a a beautiful job repairing and painting my vehicle! The employees and owner are 2nd to none where customer service is concerned. These guys go above and beyond every time. They are incredibly helpful and nice. They've always gotten me in right away and one time when I had a non-crucial piece of my bumper hanging off hanging off they removed it at no charge. It was very kind of them especially since I was expecting some type of service fee. It shows they really care about their customers. Will absolutely be using them in the future if needed and referring friends/family to them!

I had my car brought to Trachsel Body & Paint after I was hit by a drunk driver and my car was not doing so well. The experience I had from every single person I came into contact with was absolutely phenomenal. They will go above and beyond to help you in every which way. This place was recommended to me by a very close friend. And I am so grateful! They will really go to bat for you to get you what you deserve. My car ended up being a total loss which was fine, but regardless I will be a loyal customer to Trachsel Body & Paint for the rest of my life! I would very highly recommended these guys to anyone and everyone, they are truly genuine & amazing people. So very grateful for my experience with them! Thank you!

Service was good and people were friendly. The car was repaired like new. I think the costs were fair, it was paid fully by insurance. The only flaw was that the repair took 3 months.

When somebody else damages your car and doesn't own up to it, you feel gut-punched. Fortunately, Trachsel Body & Paint helped me love my car again. The repair is amazing. My car looks as if nothing ever happened to it! John was professional and provided updates on the timeline of the repair so I was never in the dark about when I would get it back. They were quick to repair my car back to it's original condition. I very much appreciate the technical skill and communication to make the whole process run smoothly. A great team effort. Overall I had an amazing experience. From scheduling to communication Greg was fantastic. I was able to get my car back in the estimated repair time, didn t have to deal with insurance, and he helped coordinate my rental. And of course the quality of work was superb. Highly recommend this repair facility that is not affiliated with an insurance company. The work was done with my best interest in mind.

I had previously used Trachsel to do a paint job on a recall I had on my car for the paint about 2 years ago. Honda had me take my car to them and was very pleased with the job they had done.I came back to Trachsel this year after a car accident I had in June. I haddamages to my front bumper, AC was punctured, hood and more damages afterpulling it apart. Again, they did an amazing job! I couldn't tell the car had been in an accident, it was perfect! John was the person I communicated with and responded quickly to all my questions and emails on beginning to end, thank you!I recommend Trachsel for any one who is looking for excellent body work on your car with a group of staff who are all very friendly and helpful. They are awesome! They won't leave streaks, clear coat dripping, etc. I was very happy with them and will use them in the future.

Just picked up my car from Trachsel Body & Paint. Trachsel worked on three of my cars during the last decade. Each and every time Greg did a fair and reasonable estimate for me. The guys in the shop are highly skilled and did precise and outstanding quality work. Car looks better than when it left the showroom floor!! Would never take my car to another repair shop. Trachsel is top notch! Thank you again very much for exceeding my expectations by a mile!

They did great work on my car! Two days after getting my car back with it's new, freshly painted bumper I accidently shut the garage door on it. I was so mad at myself! I took it back to Trachsel's and they were able to sand out the scratches and fix it for no charge. In fact Greg thanked me for making his day because I was so happy! They really have amazing customer service and I can't recommend them enough!

I had smashed up my front bumper pretty bad when we had the "snow-apocalypse" this past winter. I took it to several shops trying to get a good estimate that was within my budget. Sadly, I was quickly made aware that my budget was unrealistic. I'm a pretty transparent person and working with Trachsel was exactly that. They showed me everything from how much they were getting the new parts for and how much of a discount I was receiving. Amazing service, they got the parts quickly but weren't afraid to shop around, and they provided me by far the best price. I ended up saving at least $800 compared to most shops. The quality of the bumper was great too! I took it to ~10 places over the course of 3 months and did my own shopping around too. This was the best place available in the Willamette Valley.

I was rear ended back in September 2019, and this was the recommended place for me to go to for repairs. Which definitely was a perfect suggestion! Everyone was super nice. I want to make that clear for sure! The work they did was perfect (cant even tell I was in a car wreck). They even cleaned the inside of my car. Which was a huge bonus considering I was clearly too lazy to. And after all this time. I will still write a five star review. They deserve it! They fixed my car in opt time. They also made sure to inform me of everything I needed to know and answered any questions I had. It is a pleasant place and now a personally trusted place to have my car checked up on and worked on.

Great experience at Trachsel getting my custom Jeep repaired after I hit a deer and it made a mess of the front end. Justin was fabulous in getting an estimate, working with my insurance and keeping me informed of the progress. I couldn t be happier with the repairs. The paint is spot on perfect and the manager made sure everything was just right and taken care of when I picked it up. BTW extra bonus that it was cleaned and vacuumed.Service: Body & Trim

These guys are the best. We had our Honda hit by a garbage truck when it was only 2 weeks old. They did a fantastic job. We then had someone rear end it a year later and they again did the best quality work. You would have no idea it was ever damaged. The employees are so VERY helpful and insure you that you are who they are concerned about. Brian, the Owner, is wonderful as well. He goes out of his way to take care of you. Their new building is really nice as well. I would recommend these guys.

Our kid I learning to drive and she scratched the car on a guardrail. Greg answered the phone and his first question was is everyone okay? He was kind and friendly and so helpful. 10/10 recommend.

I have had several of my cars taken to Trachsel and they always do a great job. I recommend them to anyone that is in need of body and paint work done for their car. They finish on time with the highest quality in town. Brian and his team are great to work with.

Very professional. Greg kept me well-informed of the process as my claim was being handled by the insurance company. He even stayed late to let me pick up my car at the end of the day. Bryan, the owner, even gave me a ride to get a rental car when they were unable to pick me up at the shop. Everyone I met or interacted with at Traschel was friendly and attentive. The work was top-notch as well.

For many years now I've used Trachsel Body and Paint for any and all of my auto body and paint needs, this includes virtually all of my immediate family members who may or have needed the best and most reliable body and paint shop in the area. I "TRUST" the Ownership and Staff of Trachsel, I've never experienced an adverse issue nor have I been disappointed with the quality of the repair, no matter the size. They treat my vehicles as if they were their own, and it shows! I will continue to patronize Trachsel Body & Paint simply because they do it right and make me feel like I'm the most important client they have!
