I Went here a little while ago to have new tires mounted on my Jeep and an alignment. My experience was pretty terrible. One of the gentlemen (I can t remember his name) was very kind and informative, but the other guy I had to deal with was so excited to ridicule me about all sorts of things I believe his name was Matt.First, he looked at my tires and misread something, so he came into the waiting room and announced very obnoxiously (almost like it was a Victory for him Weird right?) that I d bought the wrong size tires and that they would not fit. It was a little embarrassing because there were other people in the waiting room and he REALLY found that hilarious. So I politely asked him to double check his computer because I was sure I bought the right size.After a little more lecturing and distasteful ridiculing (still with the entire waiting room as our audience) he double checked his computer lo and behold, they were the correct tires! Who would have thought he made a typo?At the time I was very upset with being talked to like that and I was probably WAY too polite.So we proceed with having the tires mounted. :)They came and got me when they finished and they showed me that while the tires do fit the rims, they re rubbing the bumper and catching on it. I d already accounted for having to do some minor body trimming through another auto shop. But Matt was extremely happy that my tires were rubbing. He even did a little victory dance it might be hard to believe, but I actually have that part on video and I am able to share it. It was almost like a little boy declaring I told you so! Three or four times, he reminded me that he told me the tires were too big, even though the only reason he thought they were to big was because of the initial typo that he made.When he finished his little tirade, I asked if we could move on and do the alignment so I could get home.He said that they couldn t do the alignment because the tires were rubbing, which meant they supposedly couldn t turn them all the way (which was a pretty cringeworthy exaggeration). He also told me that no tire shop would do an alignment on them either BECAUSE of this. So I left and went to Les Schwab.Guess what? Les Schwab did my alignment for me and there was no issue. :)Even better, the alignment actually stopped almost ALL of the rubbing (Matt said there was no chance an alignment would help). I didn t even need to do the body work I had planned.Anyways You d think someone at a tire shop would be a little more knowledgeable about these things.I m wondering if he was so embarrassed about the typo he made initially, that he had to find some way to grab onto his slipping ego, and convince me that I was still wrong LOL.On a better note, Gills Point S did at least manage to put my tires on right! Their prices were also cheaper which was nice. Everyone else in the shop was normal and courteous, it was only that one person.Gills point S is perfect if you re looking for cheap service, but don t expect to be treated like you have your own brain.

Update: it seems Matt isn't there anymore. I stopped in today to get my tires rotated and it was like a ghost town. The individual who rotated my tires was polite and professional, but the man (I think his name is Troy) looked angry and wouldn't address me at all. Not what I would consider to be a good representation of the company. I hope this place doesn't go back downhill like it was before the previous manager took over.Matt was exceptional! He provided excellent customer service! I'll definitely be a returning customer.

Troy and his crew did a great job making my Toyota pickup steer like new again! I've been chasing a clunk that I could not figure out for a long time. They replaced the Idler arm, Steering Dampener and wheel bearings in the Rt Ft of my old Toyota and it's like new again with no clunk!. Great job guys!!! Keep up the awesome work and great customer service!

The crew at the Salem location is so great! They treated me with respect and were very thorough in fixing the issues my car had. I had a terrible experience at the Keizer location and came into this shop with low expectations due to how I was was treated at the Keizer location. The communication and transparency here were fantastic and they made me feel like they truly cared about getting my car fixed correctly. I was never treated like I was a burden and they did such an amazing job at fixing all the issues caused by the repairs from the Keizer location. They also took the time to make sure my car didn t have any other problems that were unsafe for me. Matt and the rest of this amazing crew were fantastic and I don t have enough positive things to say about them. This is the only place I m ever bringing my car if I need anything. Thanks again guys, you re all Amazing!

These guys are super awesome! As a female, you always worry if you're getting taken advantage but I DEFINITELY didn't second guess these gentlemen and felt super confident that what I was being told was honest and genuine. I'm gonna be purchasing new tires soon and will 100% be returning to these guys to make sure my van is taken care .Thanks guys, you're all awesome

Had to visit this place because I had a bubble in my tire. They made it extremely easy to get a new tire ordered as they didn t have mine in stock as well as the ease of making an appointment to get it fixed. Super friendly and nice place to go. Will definitely be doing my future repairs and replacements at this location!

This location closes at 4pm. I showed up with an extremely flat tire at 4:25pm, and just happened to catch two staff members named Matt and Alex, as they were locking up for the night. I don t like feeling like I am keeping people late at work because we have all been there :/ so I asked them if they happened to know the nearest place I could get air put into my tire until I could come back tomorrow during business hours.Instead of just giving me a quick answer, Matt actually went around to look at my sad, sad tire and chuckled (because of its sad state) said something along the lines that I was running on basically no air and asked his coworker, Alex, if he minded helping. Embarrassed and so thankful, both guys took unpaid time out of their day to try to make mine a little bit better and they both did it out of the kindness of their own hearts. While Alex replaced my current tire with my spare one, Matt went back inside and looked up prices for a new tire without me even asking. I am usually someone who would shop around for the best deal in town, but after Matt and Alex went out of their way with with such kindness, I didn t care about the money for my needed replacement and told him I d be there the very next morning for my new tire.I truly hope the owner reads these reviews and if anything, at least gives a nod of appreciation to these two amazing humans. Matt and Alex didn t have to stay to help, they weren t being paid and were probably looking forward to enjoying what was left of their day after a hard days work. They made the choice to be kind to a stranger- and there are very few things that I can think of that are more important in life. You should be a proud employer to have such wonderful men working for you.For those who need help with their tires or any of the services this business offers, these two men and this shop deserve your business and I can t see myself going anywhere else after my experience.

So efficient and friendly. The guys working were kind and helpful and had my flat repaired and put back on in less than fifteen minutes - not even long enough for the kids to whine about being dragged to a tire shop! I did not need an appointment either. I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

I can't say enough about Matt and his crew and the customer centered service I received here doing my suspension work. They searched for the most affordable yet appropriately spec'd parts, did the work timely, and at the price quoted. No surprises. Communication through the process was easy to understand and built confidence they were the best choice for the work I needed. I received an honest opinion of when I will need tires and I appreciated them not strong arming me to buy prematurely just to increase the days sales total. Among all the shops to choose from in Salem, Point S is worth every consideration.

Needed new set of leaf springs installed as one of mine broke on my road trip. Nissan said they could fix it for me in 3 weeks... Gills got me in next day and fixed everything up. everyone was super friendly as well.

Great Experience! Fast and professional service. Recently had new tires and alignment done on my car. I called ahead and asked them what a good value may be for new tires. They walked me through the options and price points and gave me an honest opinion. I did shop around a bit and they were by far the most reasonable. In addition, I was quoted a standard price on my alignment only to have them charge me $20 less when I paid based on my simple rear suspension system. I have never had a shop charge me less than quoted! Integrity, professionalism, friendly, and knowledgeable. Call them today!

Had my tires rotated and aligned today at Gills Point S and those guys are great! They were able to get me in the same day, got the work done quickly and were super nice and knowledgeable. Family owned, local shop, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Steve and his crew are amazing! I needed tires installed on motorhome but on the way there I had issues with my brakes. They helped me get back on the road at a really fair price. I will be taking all my tire business here fromnow on!

Matt, Troy, and all of the employees I dealt with today at Point S did a fantastic job installing new drive tires on my Cornwell tool truck. The entire team had a great attitude while doing a very hard job. Thank you! I look forward to doing business here again.

Had a wheel alignment with camber bolts on both front struts after an accident, now perfectly aligned and drives like new, couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Troy was personable, efficient and even took care of a warranty issue that he found unrelated to the work I was having done. I had a lifted Subaru, oil change and new shocks in less time than he promised me. A gem of a shop!

Steve, the owner, is the best tire guy in the area. For a no BS experience at the best price available, go see these guys. Tires, brakes, front end alignment, suspension work, and even special stuff if you ask nice. I trust them to take care of my Corvette, and they have never let me down.

Super friendly and I had something really simple to get done but they scratched my leather Steering wheel up and 2 rims really badly. Haha it s my own fault for bringing it here but it s going to cost me more to fix what they scratched than what I actually brought it here for.A+ at failing do simple jobs

If I could give more stars I would! The Best customer service skills I've seen in town in a Long time. Knowledgeable diagnostics. They even have financing options.These guys went above and beyond for us. Even staying open a extra hour just to get the job done. And, Done Right.

Steve and Tim are nicest guys. This shop is expertly run. They called me every step of my van being fixed. When the problem was cheaper than expected I was thrilled. Good honest guys. We will always go to Salem Tire.

My mom came in with her 2010 Tiguan and even though it wasn't the tires MATT helped her when no one else in town would even VW sent her away. Thank you Matt for all you did for my mom.

Had my low tire pressure light on, stopped in and they immediately took my car in checked all the tires, added air to what was needed and I was on my way in a matter of 5 minutes. Fast friendly and efficient! Great business!

These guys ataree honest to a fault. They'll tell you if it's not worth fixing. The staff are consummate professionals, and they purvey quality product. Don't let Les Schwab rip you off. Go Point S, or stay home.
