Gerber Collision made my worst fears come true!I brought my vehicle to Gerber after a hit-and-run and from the start I was clear with them that I was very concerned about a groaning/creaking sound coming from the back of my car when going over bumps or taking wide turns.Throughout the repair process I was constantly called with updates, and every time I asked them if they had been able to fix the creaking. They told me no, and that they could not recreate the problem. This was crazy to me considering I can barely drive my car 3 blocks without hearing the issue. I have my doubts they even drove my car or seriously attempted to identify the problem.On the day my car was "done being repaired", I once again told them I was very concerned about taking my vehicle off of their hands without the creaking problem being fixed. I didn't want any problems with insurance covering it after the shop had already considered the repairs complete. Their response - "I drove the car and couldn't hear the problem, but you have nothing to worry about because our lifetime warranty is even better than the factory one that came with your car."I took my car home and immediately heard the problem again.The next day I call and tell them they need to ride with me so I can recreate the issue with them in the vehicle. They do, and we recreate the issue many times in less than 10 minutes.Following us actually hearing the issue, I think my vehicle is finally going to be 100% fixed! I was wrong. They take the wheels off my car and tell me that since they can't see any damage and can only hear it, insurance won't cover the repair and they will not be able to fix it. They then tell me to bring my car to the local dealership, not tell them my car has been in an accident, and try to get it fixed under my factory warranty. This is just after they had told me their own lifetime warranty was better than my own factory warranty and I have nothing to worry about with their repairs. You can't make this stuff up...I took my car to the dealership but did inform them it had been in an accident. They found that my rear axle is bent, and there is a bushing out of place. I've attached photos of the clearly visible damage that Gerber told me did not exist.They claim their General Manager tried to work with me to make things right. This isn't true. Their general manager is the one that told me there is no visible damage to my vehicle and I would need to have it diagnosed elsewhere. You can see that was clearly not true from the photos and videos I've attached.Being in an accident is already stressful enough without these shenanigans. Save yourself the extra headache, and probably money, and bring your car somewhere else for repairs.

Geico covered the bill. Not a geico customer.I was recommended from Geico to take my carhere.After a misunderstanding about some drips in the gerber driveway, everything went great with quick turn around. Jon was very communicable, and kept me updated throughout the process. They even left my cabin cleaner than when I gave it to them. Front end damage on my car, and they had my car back to me in less than a week and a half. Everything looks great.Thanks guys.

Jonathon was extremely friendly and helpful when I was having issues with the rusted screws on my license plate. Jonathon was able to get them drilled out for me. Thank you again for your help! I d recommend anyone go to Gerber for honest, reasonable service!

My wife stopped in to get a quote to repair the left side and front bumper that caught on a mower handle and was bent out as she was backing out of the garage. Employee Mark was able to work to pop it back into place and didn't charge anything! We have always had excellent service at Gerber and highly recommend them!

Gerber Collision and Glass has truly been a never ending nightmare. I believe this is the first time in my life that I have really had regrets about being so kind, patient, and understanding as it was completely taken advantage of. In light of time and how long this would be if I shared about every juncture that we were let down, I'll try to just touch on the bigger things that you may want to take into consideration when deciding if you will rely on this company for your repairs. It's nearly unbelievable the number of times they were dishonest with us. Albany's location said they couldn't get the hood my car needed, so we asked them to put the damaged one back on so we could have the car back while we waited for the parts. Over and over, I was told they couldn't smooth it out enough to put it back on. It wasn't till months later I ordered my own temporary hood and delivered it to the shop that I discovered the original damaged hood had actually been put back on the car and they offered I just take it that way for the time being. Because of errors they made, they said they would cover the remainder of the rental car till all the repairs were done. When the employee that told me that no longer worked there, I was informed were not going to stand by their word. After months of issues, when my OEM hood finally came, I opted to have the remainer of the work done in Salem. We really wanted to believe that things happen and that this could all be rectified. During that process they damaged my car twice, one being a dent. When Steven the manager started to have an unprofessional attitude with me and give excuse after excuse, I just wanted to put it all behind me and picked up my car even though the dent they caused and "fixed" was still visible. Initially when I dropped of my car at the Albany location, the young man that did the intake on my car assured me that an alignment would be done as the impact was front and to the left. Almost a year later I found out that I have very uneven ware on my tires "down to the wires". After taking it to the mechanic to have it looked at, he suggested I look back and inquire if the body shop did the alignment after the accident. To my surprise and disappointment, I found out they did not. They told me Geico wouldn't have approved of having it done and to reach out to them. Geico acknowledged it should have been done and reimbursed me for the mechanic work and the cost of the alignment. Gerber refused to acknowledge that they chose not to submit a supplemental request to Geico for the alignment and refused to help with the cost of my tires being ruined. Aside from repetitive lies and mistakes made, this was dangerous for me and my little ones. All I have ever gotten from local staff at either location has been excuses. I fully understand accidents happen or things are overlooked, however, unprofessionalism and lack of integrity are a choice. In light of my experience and the years of stress from this establishment, their response on negative reviews asking customers to reach out so they can address concerns, seems disingenuous as I was told by Bryan Cronk to "Please consider this matter closed".

I took my 2003 Honda Element in to have get an estimate for a minor rear bumper problem. The General Manager Stephen Shelton said the estimator was not available, and he looked at my bumper problem. Within five minutes he had readjusted it and easily corrected the problem, making it look as new. He also made a few suggestions about how I could improve the look of the faded plastic exterior. I really appreciated his expertise, friendly advice, and professionalism. Thank You Stephen!Note: About ten years ago Gerber did some repair on this vehicle and their work was excellent. I have 345,000 miles on this car, and my goal is to keep it functional. Three Thumbs Up!

Got work done through the insured that hit us. Everything went smoothly. They called the rental car company for me to make sure I'd have a car and they repaired my car better than expected. The only suggestion I would have is at the first meeting, to provide an estimate of the time frame for the future visit as I didn't know it would be a multi-day visit.Service: Body & Trim

They did do good work with the body and paint. Took over a week longer than original estimate. After getting back home after completion we noticed a couple of dents and a scrape that had never been there before the incident. Staff says not their fault and it has become he said/she said. Repair shop has told insurance company that I was 'combative' and refuses any further discussion. I feel screwed and will think of this whenever I get in the passenger seat. So much for insurance company recommendation. 'Sales Manager Stephen' was the one who refused to listen to me. I don't know if he ever even heard about what actually happened, so don't know how he decided what was or was not involved.

I could not recommend Gerber Auto Collision enough!! I was blown away by their kindness and above and beyond service. They called me every week with updates on my vehicle and when I went to pick it up, they were all so friendly and kind, answered all of my questions and to top it all off they even detailed my car for me!! It was so nice to get into a clean car after it being fixed. Very impressed and will continue to use Gerber in the future :)Service: Body & Trim

Went in for a bumper repair because of a hit and run, & upon them returning my car it wouldn t lock. NOW it also won t even start. Somehow it s my fault AND they want me to pay for it such an evil evil corporation. My car was better off before I came in.

The employees at this particular location are so kind and seem to really care about you being happy with the work that's done. They offer clear communication and set realistic expectations right off the bat. I had experienced an accident last year and they did such a great job that when something happened to it again I insisted I have the repairs done by them. I feel completely confident in their work and will always go back if needed. Which I hope I don't need but I know I'll be taken care of if it does.Service: Body & Trim

My wife and kids were in an accident back in late February. After finally going through insurance and determining the other party was at fault, we had to use our insurance company to get the repairs done as the other party's insurance was non-responsive. Our insurance carrier recommended Gerber and boy, are we glad they did.Here's my breakdown of our experience:1) After insurance finally went through (late April), we called Gerber and got in for an estimate within a day. They scheduled us as soon as possible, which was early June. Seems like a long time, but with backordered parts, labor shortages, etc., that didn't seem too out of the ordinary. They got me in and out with a quote within 5-10 mins tops.2) The day before we dropped our car off, they called to confirm our appointment. When I asked the estimated wait time, I was told 2 weeks! At first I was stunned, but I've never used an auto body shop before so after they explained how it worked with back ordered parts, etc., it made sense.3) On the day of drop-off, I gave them my key, they confirmed my deductible payment required at pick up, and sent me on my way. Within 5 hours, I got a text telling me the extent of the damage. Details, parts needed, estimated time frame, etc. In addition, they worked directly with my insurance company so all I needed to do was bring my deductible.4) I literally got a text every day from them telling me where we were in the process, etc.5) At pickup, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The car looked like it hadn't been in an accident at all! When I sat down inside, it looked and felt REALLY clean. I had to go back in and ask if they cleaned and vacuumed the inside and they did as part of the service!I've never been to an auto body shop, but I can assure you that I'll be going to them for any future needs. They were professional but down to earth and friendly. They were knowledgeable, but broke it down into terms I could understand. If I hadn't gone through insurance, to be honest, the fees were very reasonable. If you are looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and HONEST place to take your car for auto detail work, you should stop your search here.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The staff is exceptionally friendly, and sent multiple status updates through the process. Repairs finished ahead of schedule, and they cleaned the inside! They went above and beyond to stay open late for me to accommodate my work schedule. Went in awhile back and they where over filling with cars and tried to make fix my car in time they couldn t but got my car drivable until I could getIt back in and they did body work and new tires and replaced glass, I was kind of frustrated but they got me into a rental and payed for it while they had my car again Samantha was super nice every time I came in or called, Jonathan the estimator needs a raise too coolest guy ever always made sure everything was taken care. I guess the only thing worth saying at this point is every staff member I ran into was rude and seemed uninterested in quality or customer service. Was enough to make me walk out the door. There are plenty of decent shops in town.

My little Toyota was hit, it had minor body damage and a bent axle that I straightened.After Gerber aligned it, it drove better than it did when it was new.State Farm recommended them and I am very impressed with the quality of their work. What else would one expect of an alignment by a man who works for the enjoyment of it and has his own Ferrari?

James and his team were awesome! I went in for an estimate, which he completed in about 10 minutes. I asked him about a different issue I was having with a squeaky back trunk latch and they fixed it on the spot for me, for free! Customer service was excellent and I highly recommend!

Took my car in to get fixed when it was done I went to pick it up and it was spotless clean. CE Miller has done an awesome job on my car. I got in immediately for an estimate, they worked with my insurance and got manufacturer parts for my repairs. Every time I called there they were super nice and they had my car finished a day earlier than expected, and my car looks amazing. I highly recommend this shop to everyone.

Have put two repair jobs through this shop - they do a great job! Rhon is a skilled estimator, and when the job winds up being less involved (expensive) than originally estimated, he will personally call and let you know that - they don't pocket the extra money when the job gets easier. The auto body workers back in the shop do great quality work. I fear for the days a few decades from now when this generation of tradespeople will retire. Who will follow them?
