We love the service at this dealership. They are so kind and helpful and take good care of our care and point out future things to look for. We live an hour away and don't trust other service shop with the kind of service and trust we get here.

Carlos Rodriguez was professional and efficient when my husband took our Subaru Legacy in for routine service. Carlos provides a welcoming demeanor and my husband and I are confident in his ability to ensure our vehicle is provided the necessary service. My husband and I will return to use Carlos Rodriquez as our Service Advisor.

Such helpful nice staff, when presented with any issues one of us customers had they were knowledgeable, and very polite, even if someone cut in line with no appointment they still took the time to be helpful to them, and if your debit card gets declined because of fraud on your account and you have to get a ride to the bank, they went above and beyond, getting me a ride to the bank so I could pay for my vehicle. Thanks to the great staff keep up the excellent customer service!

Genuinely terrible. Asked for a loaner car, received a loaner car and was then accused of smoking in the vehicle when we dont even smoke ciggarettes. I explained multiple times that we DID NOT smoke in the vehicle it was residual smell from roomates and they proceeded to accuse us of damaging the vehicle. This isnt the first time theyve accused us either. charged us and extra $200 and made our bank account go negative. was transferred and bounced around probably like 10 times trying to figure out what the charge was initially for, no one can seem to be at their desk long enough to answer a phone. constant accusations FROM SMELLS that have never been under our control. and no matter what i do or say, they still insist on us damaging the vehicle. Bless Rogue & Jessica for always being the only kind people in the entire building. Will not be coming back here, and Angie your attitude is absolutley terrible, you belittled me and spoke over me and wouldnt let me tell you a damn thing. Do better.

Just please don't come here.My partner already elaborated here, I have mercy that no one goes to this place for anything of the sort. Taken advantage of, and disrespected. They have watched me cry and somehow belittle us for how we smell. Feeling great

This is a nice location and the employees are friendly, but their auto service is not great.I brought my vehicle in for an issue and was told that the problem was due to low and dirty oil. I thought that was strange because I get my oil changed regularly, but went ahead with it anyway because I'm not a mechanic. This didn't fix the problem.I took my car to a different shop and not only did they fix the issue, they let me know that the dealership overfilled my oil.I don't have a lot confidence in an auto place that can't change oil correctly. I recommend going elsewhere.

Took my vehicle in for its regular service as well as to diagnose a problem with what I believed was the heater core. It was determined to be a minimal fix. They removed the diagnostic costs and gave me a coupon I was unaware of. When we left, the AC was not working. We returned to the shop and the service manager came out and diagnosed the issue within seconds and found a relay had gone bad which runs the AC pump. They put in the new relay and did not charge us for it. We were out of there in 5 minutes. Very good customer service. As a plus, they have a very comfortable waiting area with water, coffee, light snacks, and free internet, as well as plenty of outlets and is dog friendly. They also have a child play area.

We want others to know of our experience with Capitol Subaru and how the service department handled our oil change for our Crosstrek. "Keep you completely satisfied is our goal" We are anything but satisfied with the service that we received! Dealerships have a reputation for up selling and charging for items not actually needed at overly inflated prices. As a consumer, I generally avoid ANY establishment that operates in this manner. We have also heard that dealerships want your car to run well and want you to be satisfied and then purchase again in the future. We purchased an extended warranty, so decided to try dealerships, to see if our opinion of dealership service depts would change. Normally we take our cars to small local shops where we know them & have used them, we know they are honest and reliable. We have past issues where a dealer gave us a big list of ailments, and when then we went to our trusted shops, they checjed "reported issues" and told us to bring the car back when it actually needed something. Capitol noted we needed windshield wipers, we knew they were recently replaced, this tactic made us wary of all the recommendations at that point! We brought the car in for an oil change appointment, on the way to the appt some warning lights went off, including the check engine light, and we let service know this had occurred. After looking at the list of recommendations we called to see what cleared the codes, she said that the oil change would do it, the code "diagnosis" was for the very thing we brought the car in for and it fixed the problem, BUT they still charged us $160 to read the code, parts stores read these codes for free. We understand that the techs had to check and verify and would have understood a nominal charge, but $160 to read the codes, to determine that the already scheduled oil change cleared them then verify it? That seems excessive! According to the message we received back from a service manager, the codes were due to the oil being dirty and low, the code showed the cam shaft timing was off, due to the oil being dirty and low, surprised that if the oil was so low we did not receive an oil low warning from the car? They started with the oil change and rechecked the code, stating that the code was gone after the oil change. Great! Problem solved! The oil change that we had an appointment for was done and the car was back to normal, still a charge for $160?. This is outrageous. As a customer service professional for many years I understand that services are provided by a business for a profit, but if you don't treat the customers well, then they will no longer be your customers! Sometimes you have to look at the whole picture, not just the immediate opportunity to make a few bucks! The rest of the voice message made it clear that we were stuck with the "fees" because it was not something that could be billed under the warranty. Probably true, but now the red flags were raised! How can we ever feel like we can trust this service department to give us the service we need without trying to gouge us for unnecessary work on our vehicle. Is that really worth losing a customer? I found the following statement on their internet site: "Choose Capitol Subaru of Salem for more than just vehicle acquisition. Connect with us now or visit in person to truly understand what sets Capitol Subaru of Salem apart. Amidst our comprehensive offerings and dedication to exceptional service, you'll uncover an automotive experience that goes beyond transactions, fostering enduring customer relationships." This experience with Capitol Subaru has been awful! Not only did we receive recommendations for products we KNEW we did not need but we also feel that we received the stereotypical treatment expected from a dealership with the upselling and the exaggerated charges. We are not satisfied with the treatment and service nor are we feeling that the Capitol experience "went beyond transactions to foster an enduring relationship". We are leaving feeling disappointed and cheated, not a good thing.

I brought my newish Subaru Ascent in because the brakes felt sketchy, shaky and shuddery. The car only had 19k miles on it so I thought it was weird they would go out so quickly. It turns out one of the pistons was seized, but since the car was still under warranty the dealership replaced the caliper and machined the rotor back to spec. I also was going to have them install a hitch receiver but they found out I already had one, cleverly hidden behind an aesthetically appealing bumper panel. So I walked out with basically brand brakes and my newly discovered receiver for free! Kristen Smith kept me up to date with regular texts and answered every question I could possibly have. I'll be back for all my car service going forward.

bought a $70,000 wrx only to have 2 tires go bald in 17,000 miles. Called yesterday they made me an appointment to rectify the situation only to take time off work then be told i just need to buy tires. I will never return! This is the worse dealership I've ever dealt with. How do you "pride yourself on safety" but sell defective tires.

Be advised. Capital subaru has come a long ways in my eyes. In the past. When service to my legacy gt was required. I would use this facility. And damage to my vehicle would occur. More than often. New damage would be found that was not in place at time of drop off. Like a Crack in the plastic radiator found after it left there care which let out coolant every where as the engine warmed up. And a dash which to this day has not set in right. And a cruise control that works for 5 minutes and then stops. And then it leaves the cruise control light flashing on the instrument cluster and the vehicle does not recognize it even has cruise control. Subaru still does not know why this car kicks it out of cruise mode and then you must reset it only to have it repeat. Grrrrrrr. Newer subaru location. Higher service cost. Way high parts and labor. Thank God for YouTube and a couple of honest outside shops like Kast auto.

I never thought I would take my car to a dealership. These guys are the best by far. Labor rate is fair, the parts are OEM and direct from subaru. They really know the car and exactly what is going on with it. I have a performance vehicle and they know everything about the mods and upgrades that are in the car. Kisten is my service rep and I deal exclusively with her, she is super knowledgeable and has worked at capitol for many years. Now that I'm comfortable with them I'll never go anywhere else with my Subi. There are so many advantages to going there, loaner cars, car washes, and really friendly service. The lobby and waiting area is super nice, snacks and coffee and really comfortable. If you have a subaru you can't go wrong with having it serviced here.

They are great! No problems after purchasing 2 new vehicles in the last 3 years. However, today wasn't so good. My car, Gracie (shes gray) was severely scraped on right rear door because 1 of their techs said..."Oh. You have plenty of room...drive up!! So I followed her direction and Bam Who should pay??Me, them or both? They are very helpful in getting the best price around.

I am not sure even where to start. I bought my Subaru Forester from place and everything was perfect. I went for oil change an year later and they asked me how everything going. Overall I love my Subaru but driver seat on Forester was uncomfortable, so they suggest maybe switch to Outback. I was so happy, outback is definitely more comfortable. But because I am driving so much for work(35k a year) I would not switch unless my MPG is close to the same. They offered me loner car for a week and it did the trick. I switched cars and as I was driving in my first tank, I noticed that I am getting about 23 MPG combined. Well, it s way below my Forester at 28. I went back at 2500 miles and did oil change per suggestion. It got me up to 26 combined. Highway only - I am getting about 29. They told me it is within range of 26 to 33 MPG and there is nothing they can do. Let me point: the car was brand new 2022 build and bought in November of 2021. So now I went from 29 to 38 MPG on Forester to 24-29 MPG on Outback. I will be looking to switch cars to Honda or Toyota, at least they have more power than Outback with same MPG.

It's been hit and miss. I have a unique Subaru and sometimes they do a great job and other times they miss the mark. Kinda frustrated with the parts dept as they missed 2 crucial nuts for parts I needed but I was able to use the old nuts. They are great with how responsive they are and let you know what needs done. They have room to improve on but overall satisfied

I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the first contact with the service person, until I drove out, I was treated with respect. The waiting area was very clean and inviting, with free coffee. Thank you, Subaru.

The folks at Capitol Subaru are so friendly, supportive and professional. They are giving us excellent support, answering our questions, etc even after we have made our purchase. We recommend them to anyone interested in a Subaru. Our experience with all their people exceeds our expectations

I'm buying my dad's 08 Outback Wagon, which he'd originally purchased from Capitol Subaru. I went in to ask a few questions about fluids and adding a tow hitch to it. The advisor whose work I interrupted was knowledgeable, professional, and conversational in answering my questions. The entire experience was very pleasant and I'm excited to begin ownership of an older Subaru knowing that these guys have my back.
