Nice people, but I have an issue on why it takes 2 weeks to replace and paint a bumper. Had my side fender worked by a different place and it took 3 days parts paint and done. Still waiting on my car.

Caliber Collision did a fantastic job repairing my RAV4 after I was rear ended. The communication about the process kept my mind at ease and I was back in my car in 10 days. Thank you!

In August, our car was hit by a reckless uninsured driver, leading us to the auto repair shop recommended by our former insurer, Geico. Initially, the experience seemed promising polite interactions, assurances of keeping in touch. However, the turning point occurred when it was time to pick up the car.Walking into the office, an immediate negative vibe engulfed the atmosphere. The office felt cold, and a revelation awaited in my wallet. Despite Geico clearly stating the deductible, a discrepancy emerged. The deductible for my plan, confirmed by Geico, was supposed to be covered by a check I received for $1080. However, the situation took an unexpected turn.As I prepared to pay the agreed-upon $200, the staff member stated that I needed $1640 or $1680 (I can't remember off the top of my head) to pick up the car. At that very moment, the individual I had been working with hung his head, turned around, walked to a counter on the far side of the office, and muttered under his breath, "We won't release the car until it is paid in full."This sudden change in demeanor and the whispered statement set the tone. It felt like a deliberate attempt to create a problem, as though they were seeking a specific reaction. With around $1300 in my account, adding this unexpected debt to my already inflated credit card balances was not an option.Sensing manipulation, I told the gentleman that I didn't ask him to do anything for me and left to make a phone call. I called a family member and they helped me straighten it out so I could get out of there. We provided the payment and left.Swiftly contacting my Geico representative, Raven, I sought clarity. If Geico issued a check for $1080, and my deductible was $200, how did $1640 or $1680 make sense? Raven promptly acknowledged the miscalculation, immediately releasing $300 back to me without requiring any documentation. Her efficiency in addressing the discrepancy was notable. What stood out even more was her request for the remaining paperwork necessary for the balance, a stark contrast to the repair shop's demand for immediate full payment. Raven's actions conveyed a sense of responsibility, as if she recognized the irregularity and was determined to rectify it transparently. This episode not only highlighted the questionable practices of the repair shop but also showcased the responsiveness and integrity of Geico's representative. This disconcerting experience not only left me with a repaired but devalued vehicle and a questionable warranty but also raised serious concerns about the integrity of this repair shop. The lingering question regarding their relationship with Geico adds another layer of unease.Sharing this detailed account is not just about cautioning others but also about the potential impact on someone who might not have had the means to cover these unexpected charges. If I hadn't been able to gather the funds, the thought of being held hostage for a payment beyond what was justified is deeply unsettling. It prompts reflection on how many others might have fallen victim to such tactics, especially if they lacked the financial resources or internal fortitude to challenge these dubious charges. This serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerability consumers face in such situations and underscores the need for transparency and fairness in the auto repair industry. Buyer Beware.

I highly recommend this shop. They were very informative throughout the entire process of my car being repaired. A week after getting my car back. I noticed the trunk wouldn t open with my remote. I took it back and they immediately took my car in and located a wire that had come loose and fixed the problem. They definitely stand by their work.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Good job very happy with car. They did what they could due to the pandemic. So it took 2 months but that was out of their hands. I would recommend them. Good people work their. When I picked up car it was all shiny and beautiful. The person that was doing final touches said he loved my car and washed it by hand.

I am so happy with Caliber Collision, the service, the people and the level of communication that they kept throughout was amazing. It s like I m driving a new car! I am also so appreciative with how thoroughly they went through everything. The car really feels solid (again) and that s so important to me as I rely on it to get me to the VA medical center in Portland. Also it allows me to take my fur babies on trips again! I have two Great Pyrenees and one Bernese Mtn Dog that send out a big WOOF! Of approval Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

I really loved the Caliber office in Salem. I've been to other shops of the same name around the region and none have left me feeling so satisfied as this shop. I had gone in for some body work from a hit and run. Upon arrival they were quick to evaluate my car and get me into a rental. I received regular updates about the progress of the repair and had my car back in about a week. Most impressively, I have an older car with faded paint. Their painters are very talented and were able to tint the paint so well that you cannot even tell the paint job was done. It looks wonderful! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Work well with Allstate.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Took my truck in to get an estimate had to make an appointment 1 month out went in for estimate 1st thing I was told was that they don't work on anything over 25 years old . Don't know why I wasn't told this in the 1st place instead of wasting my time. Then tells me some bull about frame being bent have been to 2 other body shops and have said the have to take it apart to see if it was so caliper was just blowing me off will never go back to any caliper body shop ever againService: Body & Trim

I loved my experience with Caliber was wonderful! Very friendly, communicative staff and I felt "in the know" all along the way of my repairs. I feel like the turnaround time on the repairs was also rather quick! My car looks GREAT!My repair costs were covered by the insurance of the person who hit me so I can't say much on value (and I have also never needed body work like that). They arrange rental pickup/drop-off for you there at the shop, so that was also really nice.Highly recommend!

Happy with customer service. Kept apprised of the progress of repairs and the supply delay causing an amended completion. When a problem was noted after initial return, it was quickly addressed with a subcontractor and additional work completed within 24 hours.

Caliber Auto body shop on Lewis Street is the best experience for accident repairs. Nicholas was great to work with and they send you several text messages updating exactly where your car is in the process of being repaired which made it so helpful. I will not use another auto body from here on out as my car looks flawless when I picked it up. They also detailed it on the outside and vacuumed and wiped down on the inside.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Earlier, I was pleased with the work that had been done. I appreciated that the shop technicians remove the pitch it was on the passenger side above the big dent. However, after I made these comments, I noticed that there was a small scrape that had not been fixed and was part of the accident that caused the damage. I am not going to pursue it, however, because I would have to get a rental car again and probably have to pay for it myself. However, the work that was done was good. Thank you. And merry Christmas!

Caliber Collision took my vehicle in on a claim for body work. My rear taillight and corner panel was in desperate need of some TLC! From start to finish Caliber Collision was exceptional! This was a collision repair. They had superb customer service. A rental car was waiting for us. Customer service was in contact with us on a regular basis. Their price was less than expected. They worked directly with our insurance. The car was ready on time and returned in excellent condition. We highly recommend the shop on 13th street in Salem.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Mark Schroeder, the General Manager, personally attended to the details of my car's repair and did a terrific job. This is my 3rd experience dealing with the staff and work at this location: once when it was Kadel's; once when it was Abra; and most recently when it was (still is) Caliber Collision. They have been extremely consistent, are good at communicating where my vehicle is in the repair process, and were very courteous and professional. I have no reason to shop for anyone else to do any body work because they have done such a good job. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and would use them again myself in a heartbeat. To show you how courteous and considerate they are, Mark the General Manager put $10 of gas in my car's tank because the gas light was on when it was dropped off. What a class act!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I walked in to ask for an estimate for a simple paint touch up and without even asking what I needed automatically turned me away (at least that was the impression that was given off). They expressed multiple times how backlogged they were and that they weren t willing to even schedule to provide an estimate for two weeks. Never asked for my name or what I was wanting an estimate for.The amount of time it took to turn me away they could have likely provided my simple estimate.

While our repair took a bit longer than we expected (our car sustained significant damage) the customer service we received from Caliber was fantastic. Jose went above and beyond in every phase of our experience. Repair itself was high quality and worth the wait.
