It was a pleasure working with them. I unexpectedly needed quite a bit of work done on my vehicle, and I felt comfortable with their expertise. They did everything possible to get me the best prices, and communicated with me regularly about the process. I would highly recommend them if you want quality auto repairs/service!

Great place to get repairs. they've done well finding, explaining, and repairing the issues I've had and all for far cheaper than going to Ford, with better attention given.I took it there because it wouldn't start and when I take it to ford they fix the issue and nothing else. So I get it back with no improvement or suggestions on how to improve it, almost like Ford doesn't want to fix your car.The no start was because the spark plugs were way too old (at least 12 yrs), not once did ford mention them and after looking it up I've had ALL the symptoms that they were bad except for misfiring, for years now. <_<Anyway, AJ's did some other maintenance as well (oil, breaks, fluids). When I got it back, it felt better than it had been in ages. Wont be going back to a dealer again!I generally know where the issues are in my Exploder and nothing they've repaired has been a surprise. From interacting with them and the costs I've seen, I feel they know what they're doing and I can trust them to do the job without fleecing me. I definitely recommend this place.

Miss diagnosed my daughter's car, told them the plugs and ignition coils weren't all bad as they stated. Only had a #6 misfire. Told them to use the correct order and troubleshooting methods. Service advisor was annoyed Everytime I suggested anything. Eventually they listened and found , like I told them it probably was, a grounded wire. 1250 dollars later fixed. Lol... I would have fixed it myself but my daughter lives 500 miles away and I had hip surgery. I would personally not use them again.

Broke down here and instead of offering help they called a tow company and the police. Wasn't until hours later that they finally helped to get us back on the road. They did still say that we are never allowed to go there again.

I was a happy about the price but not happy about how my car was treated. This is why you have a dashcam in your car people. I have them reving my car a few times with a few of there other mechanics laughing and telling him to gas it a little which he does then stops then revs again. And tell me why my dashcam was un plugged and touched when I went in for a cv axle s replacement I ve owned this car for 5-6 years and have taken care of it and have never ever had this happen before. Very un professional. Only thing I can say was good was the price and the people at the front desk. Also not to mention when my car is done I go to get it and they have my driver side bumper hanging down and the bottom splash guard was smashed under my frame bolt smashed against my transmission. I have the videos of them screwing with my car saved on my laptop. I want to know why they needed to tap on my gas and rev my car and unplug my camera.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

The quality of work is on par but their communication and customer service is lacking. They had my vehicle for over 3 months due to a parts delay and during that time I didn t get a single phone call letting me know what was going on. Plus, I never did get an estimate. Then at the end of it all it came back completely covered in dust. I could barely see through the windshield to drive to the fuel station to clean it.In a competitive market, with all other factors being the same, communication and customer service make all the difference. I won t be coming back.

I have a 95 Dodge RAM, and no matter what the issue is on this 29 year old truck; AJs team always figure it out. Their service and expertise is fantastic. It's great to do business with them as they as honest and dependable. That's rare these days. Thank-you AJ's!

They were recommended by a friend and we had them diagnose why the heat wouldn't turn down or off and they found it and fixed the problem. They also looked at the driver side window (problem rolling up I forgot to mention to them) gave us a quote and fixed it before we picked it up. It's now fixed, home and all for the quoted price plus excellent customer service. We will go back if another issue arises in the future.Thank you to the whole AJ's teamService: Electrical

Outstanding customer service and thorough mechanics. I would recommend this place to friends and family! The staff in the office and the mechanics are very professional in every way. This business is one of the most honest auto shops I have ever been too! They went above and beyond to help us and even saved us money. Then, just to be even nicer they recommended a good spot for lunch. We drove over an hour to come up to Salem after a long and informative talk with Matt about the repairs we questioned from another auto repair shop. My friend just shared with me her experience with thus shop and felt it necessary to share.They charged her boyfriend $3300 for a $900 clutch and flywheel job. No Joke! Clutch and Flywheel over $3000?!??Her boyfriend, for some reason, went through with it. When he could not pay to get it out, and they had a falling out, he left it 3 months.Now, I get he was not smart on both accounts. Leaving it off to pay far too much for the work (insanely too much) however, shes on the loan and had no choice to pay them.. $5200 to get it Back.$5200. Or they would auction it off!A little sympathy for her, given the circumstances, and at the very least just charging the unreal cost of the repair, may have been almost within some reason.To charge her $5200?!?! That s truly Messed Up.

I took my 2008 Dodge Sprinter to them for a pre purchase inspection in August of 2021. I had an issue where the blinkers wouldn t disengage after turned on, the TPSM was on saying low pressure even though there was proper pressure, a check engine service light, no power to the engine when going over 40 mph, and a few other minor issues.They told me it would cost a few thousand to fix but they wouldn t work on a diesel. When I asked for a recommendation to a diesel mechanic, one magically showed up in the shop that was willing to work on my van. Taking them on good faith since the shop came recommended by family. They said they resolved all the issues.The first trip out, the blinker issue was resolved and that s it. The TPSM came back on about 5 miles later and stopped to check. All tires still had proper pressure. The check engine light came back on and still had no power to the engine over 40 mph. They had told me it was an oil leak problem. I got it over to an auto zone and the code was reading leak or bad seal in the turbo.I took it back to them and they said it just needed time to work itself out of the system and wouldn t look at it again. They don t stand behind their work. I basically paid them a lot of money to clear the codes from my dash with their scan tool and tell me everything was fine. Bunch of criminals. I bought a new battery at a chain auto parts store a week earlier and they couldn't get the positive battery cable to fully attach to the battery. I stopped in to Ajs and asked if someone could look at my battery cable. I had to jump start my car a few times and was happy to pay to get the issue fixed. Scott came out and looked at the issue and returned with a hammer and screwdriver and gently tapped the connector down and fixed the issue. I offered the give him something but he declined. Thanks for fixing my issue.

AJ s Auto broke my air bag clock spring when adjusting my steering wheel and alignment. I have been going to AJ s Auto the last few years. I have spent a lot of money on maintaining and fixing my vehicles with them. I needed an alignment for my SUV and scheduled the soonest appointment which was two weeks out. The alignment took 3-4 hours to find they couldn t do it unless I had the ball joints done. So I had to wait two more weeks for another appointment to have the ball joints done. After spending $1200 for the alignment and ball joints I picked up my SUV Friday at closing and started driving home and noticed the air bag light was on. AJ s was closed for the weekend so I stopped by Monday to see if they could look at it right because it was a safety concern but again I needed to wait two weeks for an appointment. After they looked at it today they confirmed that the airbag clock spring was broken and that s why the light was on. The light was not on when I brought the vehicle to them. This part was damaged from turning the wheel to far when adjusting the steering wheel and doing the alignment. They did not want to take responsibility for the damage or offer to fix it. I will not do business with mechanics that are not honest and do not have the integrity to take care of there customers who trust there vehicles with them. I was planing on having them service my AC on the vehicle depending on how they handled this situation but I will no longer be a customer of theirs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great service! My parents were visiting from Canada and needed help with their vehicle for a simple repair before their long drive. They were very accommodating to do the job on a short notice even if they have a full day schedule. Can't beat their great customer service! Thank you!

Excellent customer service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We were told when we got an oil change that we needed a certain belt replaced. We tried for weeks to get someone to tell us for sure if it needed done and how much it would cost. After being jerked all day we called AJ'S. They said bring it we will look at it. Ended up on rack another man telling us what was happening. In the end no work needed. They did not charge for their time. Totally a pleasant experience. They have won our business.

AJ's is always my "go-to" place for any advice or repair for my car. My latest problem was that my driver's side power window was out of its track, and AJ's gave me an estimate -- which I always truly appreciate -- and it turned out that the actual repair was much less than anticipated, so that was a "plus". My car was repaired more quickly than I had originally thought -- another "plus" -- and I was completely satisfied with the repair. I am constantly recommending AJ's Auto Repair to all my family members and to my friends. Sometimes I'll hear, "AJ's? Aren't they expensive?" But I always reply, "You get what you pay for at AJ's. How much would YOU spend to have your vehicle properly repaired in a timely manner at an HONEST shop?" I'll never leave AJ's -- They're an excellent business in every way.Service: Auto glass repair

The quality of the work is good. The staff is polite and friendly. But..if you are looking for quick or like to be updated ...forget it. And don't expect a call back to messages. I believe prices are about mid range. As a woman, I felt a bit "spoken down to".

I switched to AJ's a little over a year ago and have been very satisfied with my experience. Appointments are quick to get scheduled. The front desk guys are professionals and friendly. Matt even went out of his way once to pre-order a part for my car based on him remembering that he read about this common problem in my car previously. I was so impressed by this. Because he already had the part ordered, I didn't have to wait for it to arrive after they confirmed that in fact that was the problem. Whenever I call or email, they are quick to reply and give detailed information. I went to them for a air conditioning replacement belt, I ve never taken any cars into a shop before so to say I was nervous was a understatement as we have all heard horror stories from car shops. The car was dropped off and within the time frame they said it was done! Kevin and Matt are both so kind and nice and I truly enjoyed chatting with them and it s nice how friendly the shop seemed! I will definitely recommend them and will be returning if future things arise. Thank you guys!

I was treated with courtesy and respect at AJ's. I just purchased a used vehicle. There were some repairs I was aware that were needed. I asked for a check to see any other emerging issues. The rear brakes were then replaced and the oil changed. After leaving AJ's, I experienced battery issues. I also noticed that waning lights were still on. I asked for those issues to be addressed and the warning lights to be turned off. I have to take it back on Monday for the further repairs. I am glad to have a repair shop that has such a good reputation but I don't really understand why he warning lights were ignored. Anyway, we will get it done together.

I would not recommend using these guys and would definitely not trust their work. My wife had felt poor brake quality and almost hit a car from taking longer than normal to stop, so she set up a brake inspection with AJ's. They had it the whole day and finally called me at the end of the day to say we could come pick up the vehicle and that there wasn't anything wrong with the brakes. They had said they looked at everything that had to do with brakes, pads, drums, rotors, etc., and all looked great.The very next day I get an oil change and they were saying the back brakes were really bad and down to under 3%, which is definitely time to change. So I tell that guy what AJ's had said about the brake inspection and he was still very adamant about the brakes needing replaced. So thinking he could be right I scheduled a time to my normal mechanic and he also confirmed that the breaks were bad and were in serious need to replacement.DO NOT TRUST AJ'S AUTOMOTIVE! Someone could have been seriously injured by their incompetence.

I recommend this place. Great service and a fair price. My husband does alot of his own work on are cars, however he got stuck and needed a mechanic. They did some surgery on are car and were able to fix the problem without pulling the engine, which would have cost more. If and when we need to take our car to a professional, it'll be AJ's Auto Repair. UPDATE: we took our car in to have the AC fixed. (Summer 2019) Again, a great experience. Less that we thought. They even fixed a minor dashboard problem (no charge). I trust this shop.

Let's be honest. No one wants auto repair bills, but when that happens (and it will) you want someone you can trust to be thorough, honest and dependable to get the job done right. In the past, I have taken vehicles to various businesses in many states and I have never had the caliber of service that I have had with AJ's. They have never sold me service that my vehicle didn't need and they always explain why it needs it and implications if it's not done. They leave the decision to you. They are not pushy about getting you to do things to your vehicle if you don't want it or maybe doesn't need it at that very moment. My vehicle is a major investment that I take seriously and I am so glad that I found a place that I can take it knowing that they have my back when it comes to repairs and issues. I'm glad to know that my car repairs are in good hands.

Matt went above and beyond. Highly recommend....My update.Power Steering Assist Replacement.Again, Matt was so helpful.He went above and beyond to find if this would be covered by a recall or extended warranty, which would littterally cost him my biz. Unfortunately I missed it by 10k miles. But so happy to know Matt had my back.This was not an inexpensive repair, but Matt found me the best prices for the required parts. That alone saved me 100s. He does his homework and I truly feel he is a customers advocate.Now my car is back in for long over due maintenance.As a Rideshare Driver for over 8 yrs, I have done business at other shops.Ajs has earned my buisness.Quilty, Value, Honesty. 5 STARS!!.

I have taken my vehicles to AJ's for years now. All work or needed repairs are thoroughly explained to me. When I took my vehicle for a major maintenance I received a phone call telling me that a couple of the items on the list were not necessary as they were already done. They could have easily done things again, but instead not doing what was not needed, thus becoming an outstanding business by being so honest. Recently I had a question and they spent 20+ minutes on the phone explaining the answer to my question and making sure I understood everything. Outstanding service from a great business!!!

Thank you so much for helping us get back on the road! Easily the best experience we've ever had getting the car fixed. Such incredibly nice people. I don't think it's ever happened to me before that I had a car problem and wound up feeling like I made a friend when I took it to the shop. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but these people are sweet and wonderful, and the world needs more of them.
