Brought my vehicle in for shocks and struts, he called and said " yep they need replaced but we won't do it" . He claimed they don't make the parts anymore, they do a quick Google search says yes Said well you could do a conversion kit to change over from non air shocks but we can't do that, don't know how! Told me to basically scrap my really nice Cadillac that has low miles and no other problems. To sum it up , he charged me 55$ and that was that . Didn't recommend anyone that could help. I just feel it to be a bit of a scam , other auto shops around town will diagnose for free and with a smile. Being I already knew what was needed and they did nothing. I will not recommend Chuck Swarm to any of my customers.

I have used Chuck Swarm family auto for over 30 years and have had many repairs done by the shop. they are HONEST and RELIABLE. There warrenty is above and beyond Great. I took a new used car I was considering buying to this shop. They told me everything was fine besides a few small things. The next day my bumper fell halfway off. Now almost 2 weeks later my car won t even start. It s extremely shaky at high speeds as well so idk what s wrong. But I paid them to tell me nothing pretty much nothing and now I have no car for work because I spent ALL my savings on this car because they told me it was fine, nothing major. Don t take you car here.

These guys were honest and communicative with me through the process of getting my Saturn fixed. It seems like they were a little swamped with work this week, so I was surprised by their ability to take care of my car so promptly. I live without cell service or wifi, and am very appreciative that they put in every effort (two phone numbers and by email) to contact me with updates. And then when it came to pricing, the cost of their work was fair, affordable, and within the initial estimate. The effort, integrity, and communication these folks put into me as a female customer was absolutely refreshing. Chuck Swarm & Family Auto was recommended to me by my aunt who lives in town and she described them to me as "the mechanic I like and trust". I couldn't agree more. Thank you for the work you folks do.

So thankful for this team of peos! My car broke down on a road teip and they squeezed me in and gave lots of trip planning advice alongside the repairs :) super reasonable prices as well! Thanks for all the help

Have now had two very good experiences with the great people at Chuck Swarm and Family Automotive Repair. Highly recommend them! Even a chaotic situation such as getting my aftermarket warranty to cover replacement of my engine in my pickup only three days after purchasing this vehicle was no match for these experienced professionals. They went the extra mile for me and that's why I came back.

As a widow who always had someone to deal with all the mechanical issues, ie the vehicle. It is nice to have a shop that you can trust. I recommend Chuck Swarm's shop to women that are in the same position that I am in. I give them 5 plus stars.

I have been doing business with Chuck Swarm for 15 years or more. I have never been disappointed with their workmanship timeliness or charges.They have been patient with me when I had to make arrangements to pick up a vehicle a few days after they had worked on it and had it finished. They always adapt to MY schedule.My daughter recently had an oil leak in her 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. She Called ThE local Chevrolet dealership service dept. It took 2 days for them to answer their phone (or return the call ) and another 4 to 5 days to get an appointment. They said it would be $145 just to look at the car plus any labor or parts on top of that.I called Chuck Swarm and they were able to get the car in the next morning. (He apologized that he was too busy to get it in that same day.) They had the car 2 hours, diagnosed the problem and fixed it for $45.I'll take my car to Chuck Swarm ANY DAY rather than trying to deal with the money grabbing dealerships here in town.Keep up the good work Chuck!!!

Took my 56 Belair in a year ago to have the carburetor rebuilt. Drove it occasionally and mostly stored it. The carburetor just wasn't working quite right so I returned the car to Chuck Swarm 186 miles and a year latter. I worked with Bill and Chuck ,both were great to work with. They worked hard to troubleshoot the carburetor and found that it wasnt jetted correctly. I am pleased with their attention to makinging it work correctly. When I picked the car up I was surprised they only charged me for an oil change ! Good people to work with! Thanks Bill and thank you Chuck for a job well done.Service: General repairs & maintenance

For whatever reason, there was something about my truck that normal operations would cause undue wear and tear on the clutch.So, three clutches later Then once you had installed a stock clutch, the pedal release did not meet your standards . TRUST is one of the most important considerations in selecting a service center. My introduction to Chuck Swarm & Family was when I took my motor home there so they could interpret a "Check Engine" message. Very pleasant to work with and very dedicated to their work, they have gone above and beyond my expectations -- fixing exhaust issues, solving air condition problems and replacing a clutch in our Subaru Outback tow vehicle. I TRUST them completely. Thanks Chuck Swarm & Family for being there when we have needed assistance.

Best place to get a vehicle maintained and repaired. Prices are reasonable and staff will let you know what needs to be done now or if it can wait. Have been visiting Chuck Swarm for 16 years. Have used other places but keep going back. No body compares.

Highly recommended! The people are very honest, nice, work fast, have decent prices, have toys in the waiting room for kids to play with, free coffee, and they can give you a ride if you have to leave your car there. I've been twice so far, and will keep coming back.

I personally would NEVER recommend these people. I am a young college student and the other day the check engine light in my truck came on and started running horribly. I knew I could not drive it very far so I googled local auto mechanics in Roseburg and read the reviews here on google for Chuck Swarms which led me to believe they were honest people who could help me out. When I dropped my truck off and explained to them that my father scanned it with his card reader already and it was coming back with cylinder 2 misfires and I just wanted to be sure that was the problem and then see how much they would quote me to fix it, they informed me that would cost $50 to be sure of the problem and I agreed that that was fine. I mentioned that the lock on my driver s door was broken and wanted a quote on how much it would be to fix that. The mechanic called me back four hours after dropping my truck off and told me that they scanned it with their computer and that it was a cylinder 2 misfire (my injector 2 needed replaced). He quoted me $540.00 to fix it, saying the part alone was $250. I told him I would call him back and called Oriellys Auto Parts who told me that part was $170. After calling back and telling him I would have to wait on having him work on the truck he explained to me that they took the door panel off of my door and that the mechanic was able to bend back a bent rod so the door opens and closes better now, he told me that it was a $75 charge, I asked him to quote me on the door handle LOCK!!! Not the door handle. I left that place in tears, having to pay $125 for information I already knew and still a broken lock, I feel completely taken advantage of and would not recommend them to anyone looking for honest service.

I took my car in after having it overheat on me. I explained to them the issues with the coolant hose as well as some possible misfires. I was charged over $1400.00 and they said my car was fixed. I drove it home which was less than 2 miles away. When I came back out to my car a few hours later to go to work I had coolant all over my driveway. They apparently didn't test the pressure for my radiator before letting me take it home and the radiator blew costing me another $150.00. I have only been driving my car now for a week. And my check engine light came on and my car started shaking. I popped the hood checked the fluids, which were fine thank god. Started up the car and looked again and my engine manifold is now shaking as if it is ready to just blow. So I am having to take it back again as u am sure they never bothered to check the misfire. I am currently waiting for them to open as I work the night shift and get off work at 630 am where I am sure they will gladly want to charge me another hefty fee to fix whatever is wrong with my engine block now. All because they didn't check the misfires I commented on in the very beginning. At this point I am not impressed with their work.

We have an older work truck we thought had a power steering leak. Instead of convincing us to fix a couple big problems, they were thoughtful and said the truck probably wasnt worth putting the money into.

I needed a part replaced that was a bit more complicated than I was willing to tackle. Chuck Swarm's team replaced the part and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone needing car repairs.
