I recently had the pleasure of visiting Courtney s Auto Repair for my vehicle's routine oil change, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. In a world where customer service often falls short, this establishment went above and beyond to provide top-notch service. First and foremost, Dave and Sarah were incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine willingness to assist. The reception area was clean and well-maintained, creating a positive first impression. My experience with Courtney s Auto Repair was overwhelmingly positive. The combination of friendly and professional staff, great communication, efficient service, and attention to detail has earned them my trust and loyalty. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of an oil change or other automotive services. They have truly set the standard for excellence in customer service within the automotive industry.

I had a rather rude encounter with this business. I called to get a quote to repair a heater core on my vehicle and get a cooling system flush. I mentioned I had already purchased the heater core and was told we do not use customer supplied parts. I thought, ok. I guess I can just return them. So I asked what the mark up on parts was. I don't have a ton of money, the weather is getting pretty cold, and I have no heat. The gal on the phone chuckled and restated my question. Then said the owner said "none of your business." Well right you are. You will get none of my business.Lmao. If I already have purchased all the parts then I would be able to figure out what the mark up is as soon as you give me an itemized quote. So why be so petty, and not just answer the question. It makes me really question the honesty here. If you cannot answer a simple question, then im not too sure I would want you to be working on my vehicle anyway.I understand there is a mark up. I don't agree with it. Usually bc almost everyone charges way too much. Apparently this place as well if they were not even willing to tell me.In all reality a mark up above what a customer pays at the auto parts store is just ridiculous. The mechanics will get parts at a discounted rate and then tack on whatever they deem to be fair on top of their labor rate (usually a %). I also understand that they (in most cases) have years of knowledge and expertise, and that is what the labor rate is for. So why are you trying to squeeze a little more out of every customer on parts? You get them at a discounted rate from the auto parts store and then mark them up above what a customer would pay on their own? Smh

We were headed home from a weekend camping when our Dodge started having trouble. We pulled into Courtney Auto Repair without an appointment and were treated like family from the beginning. Amazing service and got us back on the road to home in no time. Thank you so much for the help!

Would not recommend getting any work done there for your safety. Earlier this year I had them replaced the clutch in my truck I was in the process of moving from Oregon to Washington about a 400 mile hall plus. The clutch is working fine. But the problem is they failed to reassemble my truck completely. They left my exhaust off the hangers and didn t reattach the swaybar left the hangers hanging. I am thankful that nothing happened but I feel that could ve been pretty dangerous not having the sway bar attached. Not a happy customer would not recommend their service.

I drove up to the garage at 7:45 am for my 8 am appointment. I liked that the place was fully open and ready for business. I needed serpentine belt replaced, the owner is the mechanic, he got right to work. I gave four stars instead of five because he left a grease spot on my truck hood.

Over priced for no work. Also turns out your diagnosis was just an opinionated guess because the misfire was cause by low cylinder compression, not older plugs and wires like i was told. Yes your right....i paid $200 for a false diagnosis and a spent even more money because your technician said the vehicle needed plugs and wires......lie. I took it to your business based on your reputation when it turns out i know more than your technicians. Promise you'll NEVER touch my vehicles again! GFY

I purchased a vehicle that had been sitting several years. I took it to Courtney's to have it looked over and the oil changed. This was the type of situation where a mechanic could have found a dozen things that could have "needed done" but instead he was honest with me and said all it needed was an oil change. Dave Courtney has a stellar reputation and my first personal experience was such a positive one that I will be taking my business to Dave in the future.

I worked over 15 years in the auto repair biz (mostly running shops) and let me tell you, this is THE best auto repair shop on the Oregon Coast! Honest, hard workers that understand the biz and how to take care of the customer.

Great people & funny! My Subaru is SOOOO happy now that her axle is fixed. Work was done early & the prices very reasonable. $800 less than an estimate I got last year in Seattle

I don't know why I've never posted for Dave before. Such a kind man. He's been able to keep my eyesore rusty van running, and was able to fix a problem in the parking lot for me and get me on my way. I've brought my car to him for just about everything, and he was willing to work with me on a rebuilt part, even though I know that goes against everything a good mechanic stands for.I trust him.I think he's good for Reedsport.And I appreciate his honesty in telling me to dump my van, even though it's probably a never ending repair goldmine.

Amazing service! On our family trip we broke down in this little town. The service was honest and the owner friendly. If bad things had to happen we are glad it happened here. They got our car fixed, made us a priority, and taught us not just told us about the fix. Great friendly honest people.

Having a mechanic you can trust is vital. I brought a car in to get checked out before purchasing, and I feel so much more comfortable now that I have all the information. I'm so happy to have found this place when I was looking for a mechanic in Reedsport.

We have taken both of our vehicles here and there are an awesome place to go!! The place is so comfortable and the workers are so freiendly!!! We went here not even a year ago to get our fuel pumped replaced. Not even one month later we break down in Coos Bay, turns out they gave us a faulty one so he "returned it for a new one" not even 6 months later, at 7 months pregnant I break down in Medford in over 100 degree weather and guess what I have to pay another mechanic to replace? My fuel pump! Cost the exact same price we paid Courtney to replace our part, only the new mechanic informs us that this part will be straight from the dealership and brand new. He also told us that the fuel pump we had was a knock off and not worth what we purchased it for. My husband had called Courtney Automotive to inform then of what happened and was told they could only find the receipt for the first time we had went in, but not for our "replacement" fuel pump. She was supposed to call us back last week when it happened and she never did. This is how my husband, a purple heart veteran, gets treated going to this mechanic and actually working with him after he screwed us the first time? Yeah, great service Courtney. Now we have a bill of $1,900 in daycare and to pay for this new mechanic, not to mention the money taken out to get me home a hundred miles away after being stuck in Medford for 2 days with very little money.UPDATE: Once I posted this I got a Facebook message from the secretary about my post. They told us they could not refund us for the part or any labor, but that we could get a refund from Napa on the part. She also accused my husband of picking the part himself which is absolutely false. My husband is not a mechanic nor does he pretend to be and he certainly wouldn't have went with a cheaper part from Napa over a new part from Toyota themselves. My husband tried going to Napa to at least get a refund for the part because we now had debt thanks to all of this and gets informed that they couldn't refund him because Courtney bought it from them, and to find out he charged us more than 100 extra from what he got charged by Napa. They are now refusing to pay us back for ripping us off. This is how they really work at Courtney. We were not asking for the whole refund even, just what we paid for a part that failed us twice. They said that would be them loosing profit. Profit they made off of a faulty part they put in a family car twice. This is how my husband is getting treated after serving his country while they say they value their military and law enforcement in the message the secretary wrote me. Save your money and trouble, stay away from Courtney Automotive.

Our motorhome transmission was "chattering" & we stopped, while passing through BEAUTIFUL Reedsport to get help. Although Dave was totally busy, he took time to assist us. He took care of us, gave us some FRIENDLY Advice & got us underway. I trust Dave and thank him for his help. When in REEDSPORT -- see Dave! He is trustworthy, efficient, and a Community Leader, & fire Captain, as well as a good mechanic. Also a pilot & excellent photographer. See DAVE!

Just bought a interstate battery. Charged the same price as two other stores quoted but installed it for free and that wasn't the bonus. The bonus was all of my radio programming was still there. Thank you.

Great group of people. Had a brake line issue that could have ruined a vacation and they dropped everything to get me back on the road. I expected some additional rush fees and received none.

have gone here several times in the last 5 years for estimates .always the highest compared to others in the area , they claim they do meticulous work ? . some locals swear by them
