Great little cabin. The room was clean and comfortable. Very rustic. Wifi was a positive since there is zero reception up there! They had games in the office we were able to take back to our cabin.I would say the only downside was the Diner closed at 6pm and opened at 11am so there were no breakfast options and the office closed at 5pm, there is no staff on-site in case of emergency.Rooms: Clean, warm and comfortable.Nearby activities: Plenty of hiking opportunities. The rock garden at The Gorge was amazing!Food & drinks: Becky's Diner. Best ever chicken pop pie! And the marionberry pie was delicious!

I ve been coming to Union Creek my whole life and love the area. First time staying in lodge room. The room itself was cute and cozy. Unfortunately the two beds were crawling with Silverfish. It was quite unpleasant knowing these were crawling on the bed I was sleeping in. The map you receive from check in needs to be updated. The game room no longer exists. The store where you check in offered loaner games which helped. I would not call this place a resort. Though it is a beautiful area it is nothing like a resort. It would be nice if they provided fire wood for outdoor fire pits. Bring your own wood if you plan on having an outdoor fire. They charge way too much money for their small bundles of wood. Since Aramark has taken over ownership I ve heard from staff and customers this resort has really declined. Be aware that Beckie s cafe is NOT open for breakfast during tbe winter season. The lodge does NOT provide any kind of continental breakfast. If you re staying in lodge room I recommend bringing a hot plate and your personal cookware if you re a breakfast person and cook your own breakfast. There is a microwave and a mini fridge in each room.

The cabins, the lodge, the store, and the restaurant across the street can be described as rustic. My cabin was delightful. It was clean, everything worked perfectly, bed was comfortable, the 658 pillows on the bed were wonderful. I didn't need to use the heater, but the A/C worked great. The staff were wonderful. It's family run and the manager that I spoke to was the daughter of the manager I had in 2008. They maintain the resort impeccably while keeping its old growth forest charm.Rooms: Cute, clean, well maintained. Everything worked. Nothing felt old or over you.Very comfortable mattress. Very hot water. Air conditioning worked. Microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator were clean and operational.Nearby activities: Union Creek is a gorgeous area. The Union Creek trail is open for 6 mi now all the way up to Union Creek falls. The hiking is wonderful. Make sure to see natural bridge and the Rogue River gorge. From previous visits I know that does a wonderful place to make base camp for cross-country skiing and other winter activities.Food & drinks: Across the street is Becky's restaurant. It's been there for over a hundred years. The food is great, the staff is excellent, the pie is out of this world. If you're smart you'll order pie as soon as you walk in so is not to have your choice of flavors sold out from under you.

This historic lodge exceeded our expectations. We were a little wary of the shared bathrooms, but it wasn't an inconvenience in the slightest (there are sinks in the rooms). The room and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Beckie's across the street was delicious. A great spot to stay if you're visiting Crater Lake.

Definitely not a resort. Beware, lodge rooms all share 2 bathrooms (one toilet and one shower in each). I thought I had missed this on the website but another guest confirmed it was not advertised. We landed here as a sister hotel to Crater Lake Lodge, but having stopped by there I can guarantee they are not similar. On the second day of our 2-night stay there was a power outage. One of the showers had no hot water and while we were grateful to have power thanks to a generator, our room smelled strongly of gas and we were concerned for our health. There is no one on site to help and as noted by other reviewers there is no cell service or wifi to contact anyone. When we did a check under the bed before leaving, we found a thick layer of dust. Clearly hasn t been cleaned under there for years.Location is okay, about 30 mins from Crater Lake.Restaurant across the street was decent, but hard to get a table one night as it s the only place in the area and there are nearby campgrounds in addition to Union Creek Resort .

The rooms were really cute. I expected it to be outdated, it was not. The front desk was sore friendly and helpful. We were in Cabin 3. It had hot water in the shower, but the pressure was too low for my hair. There is no cell service, but the free WiFi works with a bit of patience. We walked to the nearby Rogue River Gorge. It was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

We were lucky to be driving around the area for a road trip and found this gem! We stayed in the main lodge. Every guest in the rooms respected the quiet hours and every one was mindful of the other guests. Rooms were clean, neat, cozy, and warm. The bathroom and showers were very clean. Loved the place. The only negative part was the person with the leaf blower outside the lodge at 0600 doing landscaping. That could probably wait until at least 8am... we were exhausted and not being able to sleep because of it was rough.Overall great place to crash. Hike. Rest. Until 6am. Walkability: Walking distance to hiking trails, food and creek

Wow, that bed was from 1964. The room was next to the shared bathroom so no sleep as sound transmits right through the walls. Get the cabins if you have to stay here. I'm never coming back. Great location but DAMN that room sucked!!!Nearby activities: Good stuff to see in walking distance...Natural Bridge.

Our cabin was so cute and quaint. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The mattress was SO COMFY that I fell asleep instantly and in the morning I just had to check the brand and type (Beautyrest Hospitality). If y'all could let me know the exact specifications that'd be great because I need one!!Highly recommend a stay at Crater Lake Resort!!

Not a bad place, but definitely not a "resort". It's basically a shared-bath hostel with a handful of individual cabins in the back. They are VERY strict about not checking in early whatsoever, even though the cleaning crew seemed to be on top of everything pretty early in the AM (I would bet plenty of rooms are clean and ready by noon) but on a positive note that made us goto the local bar and meet some great locals. The area is amazingly beautiful with dense forest for miles and miles and some hiking quite close. We paid around $200 with tax for a room in the historic lodge, which is upstairs from a little general store--the very little store--which closes very early. They have snacks and basics, and are grossly overpriced, like $10 for a pack of hot dogs, etc. We camped the first night but there were no sites available the next night, hence the lodge experience. The lodge is about 100yrs old which is pretty cool. It has the antique glass doorknobs and other cool features but it's nothing fancy. Rooms are tiny, with a bed and microwave pushed up against 1 wall and a little sink and mirror in the corner. Rooms are dusty and very dark, not air conditioned and not insulated against any sound. There's a dusty ceiling fan, ours had burned out lights and there's nobody to tell about it after 6pm. Two of the 10 or so rooms have been converted into shared bathroom with shower and toilet, no shared sinks. The showers worked great. The restaurant across the road is affiliated with the "resort" and has very good, if somewhat expensive food. All staff members were nice and gave good service. Overall we had a good experience but felt a little price-gouged considering how rural and rustic everything was. The bartender up the road told us the local mgmt sold out to a big company a couple years ago and they doubled the prices. They are capitalizing on the lack of selection in the area and the transient and 1-time nature of most visitors.Rooms: Rustic, basic, antique

This is a nice place to stay near Crater Lake. I was in the lodge and thought it had plenty of space (plus your own coffee maker and sink in room). The only awkward bit was that I had to share the 2 bathrooms with everyone else in the lodge, but I had no trouble with that. The staff were also super nice! I arrived late, but was still able to get to my room hassle free. They also helped direct me for driving. There are some trails to hike near the lodge, nothing too terribly long or hard from what I've found. But bring bug spray if you hike them! Also, note that there is no cell service in the area and the WIFI isn't the greatest. This might be a bad thing for some people, but I enjoyed a tech-break holiday!

This is just glorified camping, so if you go with that in mind, it's ok. The internet and cell service is non existent. The listing mentions a pool, never found it! The setting is lovely. Beckie's restaurant seems to open and close when it feels like it. We stayed in the lodge. The shared bathrooms are ok, the rooms tiny and the sink is smaller and the taps drip all night. There is nowhere to sit inside to visit with friends, that we found. Nice towles, bed ok. Coffee and tea in room. A very casual approach to the entire place. Probably would not stay again.Rooms: Small, some beds against the wall. Very hot and stuffy.Nearby activities: Crater lake, rouge gorge, rivers, hikingFood & drinks: Beckie's across the road is OK and the only place to eat. Not like some reviews I read. I guess it's changed management!

Place was in a state of disrepair. WiFi was virtually non existent. And when we were able to get a signal internet was incredibly slow or not working. If you can stay at the lodge in crater lake do it. Definitely worth the extra money. We couldn t wait to check out of this place. We would have left early but office said we needed to call central booking. But with no cell service or WiFi that was an impossible task.

Really love this hidden gem. The cabinet is well designed with all the necessities. It has a kitchen and living space make people feel like home than a hotel or temporary stay. The shower works well. The bed is very comfortable. The Beckie s cafe across the street offers excellent food (they even have gluten free menu!) The shop in the resort is very convenient to shop snacks and travel essentials the resort is about 30 mins from Crater Lake. The driveway is very scenic. Anyway, very happy about the stay and will come back again !

WARNING: This is NOT a resort!! THIS IS A HOSTEL. Complete scam of a service and group of liars lying on the internet to whip up more business. Heres the truth they womt share with you until its already too late. I paid almost 300 dollars for this: Shared bathrooms, no loud noises(the other guests will knock on your door and tell you to turn your phone volume down), NO AIRCONDITIONING, only a small portable dusty uncleaned heater, little to ZERO lighting. The windows were wide open when I walked into the room who knows how many bugs I slept with. They promote that there will be wifi but there was no wifi period. There was no extra stock of towels for the hostel shower. It was hot and stuffy until night time then the room seemed to cool down slightly. No TV. No bathrooms. Dusty dusty dusty dusty very dirty floors and everything else. This was a $100 a night at best value establishment. 1star and only 1 star exclusively for the location of the hostel. Once again not terrible but certainly not a resort this is a glorified hostel

Wow-this is a gem of a place to rest your head after some hiking in such a beautiful part of Oregon! A little enclave in the forest-we stayed in #22 - plenty of room for a family of five, clean, comfortable with solid cabin amenities. The restaurant-Beckie s-is solid if a bit limited in menu. The pie is tasty, I must say. The little ice cream shop is cool. Regrettably there is no game room contrary to the map of the resort. The sky (we were there in a near new moon) is otherworldly at night.

I rarely give bad reviews, unless I have something nice to say. I can t give it less than one star. So many issues, but there were two main things. The cabins are very rundown, outdated. You can t take more than a four minute shower, because it overflows on the small lip of the shower.$200 a night? I ve had much nicer cabins for $60 bucks. But the absolute reason I will never ever come back They have put in extremely strong powerful Wi-Fi that reaches out hundreds of feet throughout the camp. I ve been coming here year after year because it s the one place where you have no signal I can get some peace and quiet! I did not sleep all night, I had to sleep in my car down the road. Some of us are sensitive to ultra high power Wi-Fi! I have other friends in Medford and Portland, who come here for this very reason, and I will definitely be telling them not to come here anymore unless they want to be sick.I left a day early. Do yourself a favor and camp across the street at one of the nice forest campgrounds.

If I could give this 2.5 stars, I would, but I'll go with 3.I recently paid $223 for a one-night stay in a cabin. My first impression was the staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. Additionally, the main lodge has a small store (including gifts) that was quaint and well-stocked. And they're right across from the legendary Beckie's Diner and only about 30/45 minutes from Crater Lake, so you can't beat the location. However, everything went downhill from there. As SOON as I stepped into the cabin, it smelled sweet - in a dirty, moldy way. The bathroom had a spider in the corner; a spider leg on the shower shelf; and a continuously running (not dripping - RUNNING) faucet that I was unable to turn off. There was a small electric heater that was covered in dust sitting beneath the rickety shelf that held the small microwave and coffee maker - and an air conditioner was cut primitively into the wall (but worked well.) There was no television and no phone (unless you want to use a pay phone outside.) The room was overall dark, dingy, and approximately 50 years outdated. And I guess I'll go against the crowd and say the lack of WiFi was disappointing. I'm a nature enthusiast, but at the end of the day, I want to check social media and my messages to see how my family and friends are doing - especially since I travel alone.Overall, you might as well pitch a tent and save yourself a couple hundred dollars. I'm surprised a sister property owned by Crater Lake would charge such a steep price for so little.

I really wanted to love my stay here. But... If you support wolves... Don't give this place your money. The cabin we stayed in was wonderful, the location is superb, the most affordable place close to Crater Lake, and the food is phenomenal. We used to stop in here for food and snacks on every visit to Crater Lake... And finally decided to take the plunge and stay overnight. Something we'd wanted to do for years. And that was great...until the front desk people saw my pro-wildlife, pro-conservation, pro-wolf stickers on my car. This led to a heated argument upon checkout, with the front desk people going on about how Oregon is "overpopulated" with wolves (It's not, not even close) and doubling down on wolf disinformation - despite science to the contrary. When I tried to educate them on the actual science and statistics of wolf predation and actual population in the state, the conversation was abruptly ended and I was asked to leave. My partner and I strongly support wolf conservation and its painful that this place we had made so many memories turned out to be anti-Wolf, and put a damper on the memories of our trip. So as much as we loved the cabin, the food, and the location, we won't be back. I don't want a single dollar spent here to wind up buying ammunition for some local rancher's wolf kill.

AMAZING!!! Loved every moment at our spacious and sweetly adorned cabin, and FANTASTIC eats across the street. A tiny bit of exploring found an amiptheatre and a stunning pavillion. Absolute gem!Rooms: Spacious and absolutely adorable and charming. Very clean. Felt very safe. Was quiet even though front of cabin was just off back from the road. Good mattresses, linens, and soaps.Food & drinks: It has been a nearly week and I am still missing the pie from Beckie's Cafe across the street.Noteworthy details: Wheel chair accessibility on larger cabin. Excellent grounds.

My wife and I had a very good visit while staying here during our vacation. It was actually our thirtieth anniversary on one of the days. The cabin was cute and the scenery there is beautiful. The management was friendly to us and addressed an issue or two we had with professional courtesy. You can't get any closer to Crater Lake without staying in the lodge from what I saw. Beckie's across the street is very good with a friendly guy serving us on our second night. The best point about the place is the beauty of being directly in the forest and close to the park. We would definitely stay again.

We drove from Texas, arrived late right before closing. The lady s at the front were very friendly and accommodating. They really looked out for us. I loved the rustic look of the cabins very cute and gives you that outdoor camping experience. If you want a luxurious experience I would suggest a hotel or inn.. lol I read somewhere they re still working to do some updates to the cabins but I think they re great! Thank you!

Staff is super helpful. We arrived after check in time but they were more than helpful to accommodate us in one of their little cabins. Super cozy. Food at the nearby cafe is great.

I have to say that was an experience and not a good one. If you want a room where you'd need to bring your own ac unit, but for the price you can find something much nicer that's for sure especially for the fact of the shared showers and bathroom but when it's 95 outside and doesn't get below 100 in the room very fast, it's not an experience I'd care to repeat and I wasn't looking for anything that fancy. Ice cream shop across the street was good though.

Way too much money for what you get. There is no place to hang a towel or your clothes in the bathroom. The curtain rod kept falling every time I would try to adjust the curtain. In the bedroom the ceiling fan was covered in dust and when I turned it on the clumps of dust were blown all over the room. The AC unit did its job to keep the cabin cool at night though. Also, they could've hung some curtain to separate the bedroom from the rest of the unit for privacy. We were sharing the room with the kids, and if someone was using the bathroom I had no place to hide if I needed to change. The area and the woods surrounding the cabins are not pretty and felt run down. If you have been in the Pacific Northwest woods around Olympic Peninsula or Leavenworth, you'll find the whole experience here underwhelming. I must say that it's close enough to Crater Lake and that place is a gem. That's the only advantage. Would not stay here again.

We had reserved a cabin for two nights and ended up staying for 15 minutes! Potential visitors beware. The photos on the website do not adequately reflect the accomodations. While there are, I'm sure, some quaint and cozy cabins and/or rooms, we were given a cabin that was a mess. Our cabin had two bedrooms, a living room area, bathroom and kitchen. All spaces were tired and worn-down. The carpeting in the living room was badly stained. The lighting was a joke. The furniture in the living was worn and dilapidated.Don't be fooled by the photos. Ask for a photo of whatever you decide to rent.

Super friendly! Rooms are very cute. Area's ambiance is wonderful. Relaxing, peaceful, creek is literally right there. Easy driving to anything in the area. Bed not so comfy. They have good-sized cabin rentals, though. No RV parking. Across the street is Beckie's, which is known for their delicious pies! I tried the strawberry rhubarb and agreed with the visiting ladies who have been coming here for 35 years that it was the best. Yeah. Definitely get a slice of pie. Also, try the reuben, you won't be disappointed.
