Ingo was great as normal he helped me with my broken down truck, and helped me with getting into a car so I could go pick up my hubby who had been life flighted to Boise. Highly recommended great value and a great man running this shop. If I lived closer this would be my go to shop for everything he knows what he is talking about

Ingo helped me in a pinch after a family of rats invaded my engine compartment. (One dislodged my serpentine belt. At least three more hitched a ride for another 50 or so miles.)

Iam contracted by the Federal Government to help out in several aspects of running a Fire Camp. While stationed near Prairie City, I unfortunately had some car problems while coming out of the Malheur National Forest. I walked about 4-5 miles before I was rescued (no phone service that way). When I finally made it to Prairie City, I immediately contacted this auto body shop (did not have options). The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely rude from the beginning. He asked me what was wrong with the vehicle, I explained what the truck did before it died on me. The guy on the phone spoke to me as if i was dumb because I couldn't tell him what the truck needed....(That's why I called the Mechanic duh) Long story short HE DIDN'T HELP ME IN ANY WAY! Help came from 5 hours away because this shop was worthless to someone in need of their skills.. Long story short 0/10 WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

The Owner of this shop in this little town came to our rescue! Our motorcycle blew a rear tire 15 miles away from his shop and he came quickly to pick us up with a trailer took us back to his shop and installed a rear tire that he had that would fit my bike and got us back on the road. He is quite the personality and a very knowledgeable man!

I see Ingo for all of my mechanical needs. His knowledge and expertise are only rivaled by his customer service - he TRULY cares. He takes the time to be sure his customers are comfortable with the process, have a full understanding of the issue at hand, and any work he plans to do. I have seen him for problems big and small, and I've always left fully satisfied by the professional work done at an affordable price. I saved hundreds of dollars (compared to quotes given by other area shops) by taking my business to Prairie City Motors. Thank you Ingo, you are an asset to the community!

Ingo, the owner and master mechanic, was a godsend for my bike. Diagnosed and fixed a motorcycle chain issue in record time, and was more than reasonable with what he charged. If you have the good fortune of breaking down near Prairie City (or nearby he offered to come fetch my motorcycle with his own trailer), you are lucky indeed.

Took my Ducati to Ingo at Prairie City Motors, and couldn't be happier with the results. Ingo knows more about bikes then all the combined techs at your normal dealership service department. The experience he has from racing, and working on race bikes for so many years really shows. I'll bring my bike, and my European cars back for whatever they may need in the future. Further more I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone.

Well first off he did not fix the problem that I brought it there for. Then almost $900 later when I realized he had not fix the problem he went off about his relationship with his girlfriend and how my car/myself cause them an unhappy weekend and eventually led to them splitting up. He was not only unprofessional but constantly all over the place with a million things. Very unorganized. I would not recommend him to anyone. At least when I tried to go to grant county automotive they were honest and told me what they thought was wrong with it but they were not a 100% sure so they told me to try somewhere that new how to work on foreign cars. Do yourself a favor and find a real mechanic! This is the worst automotive experience I have ever had.

This shop is a hidden gem! The service here is top notch with a degree of personal attention unusual in today's in-and-out shop culture. The only stuggle you may face is pinning down the proprietor who appears to be rushing ceaselessly from one task to another. If you stop to talk or even just watch the mechanic at his business, it becomes obvious this guy knows the in's-and-out's of his work like it was written on his skin.I move around with the Forest Service, which is what brought me initially to this beautiful and tiny part of the world. When my starter went out I was left with little choice but to call the only mechanic Prairie City had to offer, and I must admit, I was a bit skeptical of what this rural shop may charge me and the service they would provide. Given the opportunity I would have gone the extra mile to go to Bend or Boise for service... Boy did I end up surprised. Not only did I get charged far less than I expected, but within the day a new starter had been ordered and installed. The next day the starter went out again; when I called Prairie City Motors, the proprietor stopped all work to drive out to me with a brand new starter. He replace the dud on the spot and refused to accept any payment - even for gas!Since that initial service, I've been exclusively using Prairie City Motors and I have never been let down and NEVER CHARGED OR UPSOLD FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT NEED! Insanely enough, half the time I feel guilty at the rediculously cheap prices I am charged for labor. When I attempt to tip the owner his reply is always "I just like doing nice things for people".Lastly, as a side note, as an avid and professional cyclist, Prairie City Motors and Cycles offers some rare bicycle know-how along the Old West Scenic Bikeway and Trans-America. The owner does not keep a full stock of bike parts but has the skills necessary to get most riders out of any pickle. Coming from someone who has spent his whole life wrenching bikes, this place is one of your only options for a broken wheel while touring for some distance. Additionally, with a professional background in motorcycle racing, the owner custom builds some of the craziest e-bikes I've ever seen.Bottom line: Prairie City Motors and Cycles is the unusual exception to the rule "if it seems too good to be true, it is" and the proprietor is an accentric mad scientist of the mechanical world and is just as enjoyable to engage with as he is to have as a mechanic. I recommend with full confidence.

BEST MECHANIC....EVER!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND INGO TO WORK ON ANYTHING THAT WILL ROLL DOWN THE ROAD.IF IT DOESNT ROLL DOWN THE ROAD NOW, IT WILL WHEN HE'S DONE WITH IT. NOTE HIS BUSINESS WORKS ON A 1ST COME, 1ST SERVE BASIS & BECAUSE INGO IS VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES AND IS HIGHLY SOUGHT OUT BECAUSE OF HIS REPUTATION, U MIGHT HAVENA LITTLW BIT OF WAIT TIME B4 HE CAN GET TO YOURS BUT U WILL AGREE WHEN U SEE THE END RESULT, IT WAS DEFINATY WORTH THE WAIT.
