Good experience overall. They did not push me to do any work I didn't want. My Ford Focus needed a new engine mounting. The thing is, the job can be for all 5 mountings and not just the main mount. I wish I had known that and I would have changed the other 4 as well. The mountings are sold as a set and it can be done all at once. I won't be so rigid about how much I want to spend next time. They listened well and gave me quotes and advise about my other questions. I appreciate how courteous they are and I will definitely give them a positive review and may return if needed.Service: Engine repair

My car was experiencing loud clicking sounds while parking and sharp turns of the steering wheel. After researching online, I thought it might be a CV joint. I found Vu's and called. Long answered and quoted lower than expected. He scheduled an appointment. Today I went in, a week earlier than scheduled. My error. Fully expecting to be turned away, Long decided to take my car on a drive to try to diagnose it on the fly. We went for a quick road test, and he put it up on the lift and checked it out. After he and another mechanic looked it over, they found it was just a loose part in the wheel well. He ended up charging me far less than originally quoted and got me in and out within an hour with a workable vehicle. Throughout the entire visit he was friendly and efficient, but mostly honest. He basically saved my vacation. I think I found my new mechanic and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much Long and Vu's Car Care!Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are great! I usually work on my own cars but needed Wheel Bearing replaced quick on my Subaru. Best price in town for job well done that I could find. I won't hesitate to come back here again.

Outstanding! Visiting from out of state and the serpentine belt broke. Scheduled us in one day and completed replacement/repair of water pump, brackets, pulley as well as 200k timing belt replacement and a 4 wheel brake job by the following afternoon. My son had recommended and reviews looked good, communication was excellent and honest and price, while not cheap, was fair for the work done. They asked was this vehicle a keeper or were we considering replacing as far as how far to go. Would definitely recommend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

Super quick turnaround- I needed a handful of maintenance/repair jobs and had a noise that needed fixing. One day later, everything was done and car drove like new. Vu Car Care is the best! Somehow they manage to do a great job every time, but keep the costs very low. I have had 4 cars at Vu and all of them came out great each trip. I wish it was closer to where we live. Two times I've had them do Honda timing belts and the work came out great. They also try to do those extra items that pop up reasonably. They are good about checking in before doing extra work. I would highly recommend these guys for Japanese car repairs.

I currently own a Honda S2000 (my first car) and have taken my vehicle here for everything. From routine maintenance upkeep to replacing my clutch cylinder. I've prevented a lot of huge costs by preventative care. They go above and beyond and treat your car like their own. The service is top notch and I have been treated like a valued customer. Come here for a great experience knowing you and your car be in good hands. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I have recommended this place to friends and family.

Took them almost a week longer than expected to just check what was wrong with my car (for an estimate!). Called them twice and left voicemail to call me back and they never did. Third time was a charm. Didn't give me a service check list of what was wrong or what he had done with the car and was charged $45 (vs $100 but he gave me a discount).I'm sure he has provided excellent service to others but unfortunately I won't be returning.

I have been taking my many bmws and recently my Chevy here over the past almost 10 years now. They make me feel like family. So reasonably priced. Helpful in finding the best deals, addressing most important mechanical issues first, always timely in getting repairs done, and amazingly honest in communicating everything going on. I wouldn t take my car anywhere else. Shops like this are one in a million.-Annastasia

Be forewarned if you plan to buy a car from Vu's. I was taken in by Ethan's smooth talking and bought a car I never should have. There was not full disclosure on what all was wrong with the car, and I ended up with a $1500 bill after purchasing said car from them. By merely writing AS-IS on the bill of sale, that does not excuse him from being dishonest and misleading about what all the car needs. Don't be taken in like I was, thinking that because they are a garage, that they will automatically be honest about their cars.

I ve taken our 98 work van there twice and am very happy with the service. The first time they fixed a small electrical problem for 20 bucks. The second time, something was draining the battery. They said it was probably in the ignition, which matched the symptoms I was seeing. They said they could replace ignition for about 300 bucks but that may or may not fix the problem and an electrical problem could be a nightmare. They offered to put a little switch on the battery for 50 bucks that we turn off at night so the battery does not drain. They were happy to do either but since it s a 20 year old van we opted for the 50 buck option. Now I would not want that option on my wife s newer car but for the work van it s perfect, simple and very Cost Effective. By the way VUs was the second place we took the van, the first place we took it could not figure anything out and charged us 95 bucks for diagnostics (only to tell us they couldn t do anything to help).

I have been a customer with vu since 2005 & I highly recommend vu car care to all my friends & family.bottom line: if you're having problems with your car & you're worried that it might cost to much to fix. I feel very confident to tell you to go to vu car care & your car will be fixed the right way & at a price that you can afford.go see vu & his crew & they will take care of you!

These guys wanted to sell us a car we liked. But when we had it checked by an expert (Hawthorne), about everything was wrong with the car (leaking oil, timer belt, etc.). Although the deal was that we'd only buy the car when it was tested as 'reliable', they didn't want to give us back the $300 deposit. Very unreliable.

These folks are solid. I've never felt like I'm paying for anything unnecessary and in fact it seems like I never pay the full estimate price. The turnaround so far has always been very quick. Very kind people here.
