My car quit on me while I was in Portland for shopping (about 1 1/2 hours from home) and a man at a store near the airport recommended Vision. They were able to come tow my car within an hour and once at their shop, they kept working on it until they found and fixed the problem: a short that my regular shop up north hadn t been able to replicate & identify (despite lots of time and money, of course).This shop isn t fancy or in a cool neighborhood but I was SO impressed by them! Even tho it s not conveniently located for me, I ll probably use them again when my aging car has another mystery ailment. Horrible service, the guy was just to do a simple Alignment and when he called yelling bout who I had work on my car last I told him I was in store tell me when I get there then when I show up he won't tell me what he was trying to say. Has me test drive it and I would think going on division but instead he insists I take side street and won't let me get it above 5mph. Also won't stop talking bout all these peoples cars who he messed up and had to pay for but he no longer has insurance. Later that night my son driving on freeway to Salem lost complete control and spun off the road. I had to tow it to the shop and the man refused to look at it. Later find out the control arm hadn't been bolted down at all. I almost lost my son and my car still is not running I would never take a car here. It could mean your life. And they won't fix what they broke so now I don't have a car!!

This place couldn't follow instructions I asked for a timing be done you know with the distributerHe starts messing with my cylinder so I tell him he's finished with anything concerning my vehicle later that day I did my timing successfuly.He's stupid and a liar

Vision has helped me out every single time I dropped off my car. Rebuilt transmission, replaced stolen catalytic converter, alternator replacement, etc. They know their stuff and I don't feel ripped off. They were so friendly and helpful. Dat was the nicest and they got my car done faster than I had expected. It was worse than they had initially thought (I had expected it to be more than they quoted me even before I got there, so that was fine), but their prices are extremely reasonable and they really care about your safety. They will 100% be my mechanic from now on, which will hopefully make me take better care of my car from now on.

Five stars!! Excellent customer service. Had a flat tire and they helped us out in a pinch putting on our spare and filled it with air, and it was late at night. Definitely recommend coming to these guys!!!

We have been taking our cars to these guys for years. The work they do has always been quality and they won t try to do work that isn t necessary. They are so honest it s crazy in this day and age. Yesterday a friend got an $800 quote to get her brakes fixed from another place so I sent her to Vision Auto. She ended up getting front and back brakes put in for $420 and it was done quickly. Can t say enough good things about these guys.

The work these guys do shows why they have devoted and returning customers. Dat and Ben are very personable and do what they can to make sure their customers are taken care of. We have nothing but good experiences with Vision Auto Repair. Ben and his colleagues are so friendly and ready to help; They have given my son free advice when searching for his first car with what little money he had to spend. They are honest and reasonably priced; they have serviced and repaired 3 of our cars. We will stick with them!

I really like Dat's manner. It's obvious he knows well what he's talking about, and doesn't assume anything about what I know or don't know. He doesn't cut corners with cheap parts and at the same time I get no sense that he's selling a bill of goods like I have with some other garages.

Dat and his crew were excellent - professional, friendly, honest, on-time and got the job done well. He went above and beyond my expectations by coming to my home to look at my car to quote an estimate and he stuck to that estimate.I would recommend him to anyone.

Finding an honest, trustworthy mechanic is like striking gold.I drive from Woodburn. That's about 37 miles EACH WAY because I know he's going to give me the truth and do the job right the first time for a fair price.Can't say enough.Dat and his crew are simply the best.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

Wow. Highly, highly recommend taking your car to Dat and his crew. He had my car in and out in less than two days for a very complicated issue. Even had his crew stay until 10pm one night because he knew how badly I needed my car back. I feel extremely cared for and grateful to have met an authentic and honest mechanic.

I have taken my car here twice when it has broken down. They treat your car as if it is their own. Prices are fair and they are reliable and trustworthy.

i don't usually write reviews, but after a year of trying to get my ford escape to complete a drive cycle to pass DEQ, i took it to a ford dealership. they did $600 of work on it and i was still failing after a couple months. a couple other shops couldn't do anything for me. so i took it in to vision auto repair and they worked on it for a few days and got it back to me with the DEQ paperwork. i went straight from their shop to the DMV and finally got my new tags. apparently the dealership did everything completely wrong. obviously, which is sad. the guys at vision said that it was one of the hardest cars they've ever worked on, and almost gave up. They actually told me that they like a good challenge and never give up. again, i don't write reviews, but this shop has some mechanics who really know what they're doing and i wish i would have found this review a year ago so i knew who could save me. and Dat, if you're reading this, thank you so much.

I know the Mechanics had lots of other vehicles to fix,because of our snow,but they took my car right in,because my Camry window wouldn't roll up.They fixed it the same day!Excellent work plus my Man has multiple vehicles, he rely on them to get the job done.

Dat is great. Honest, straight forward and timely. He didn't charge me for what I didn't need and did exactly what the car did need. I've been looking for a honest mechanic for a long time and finally think I found one.

Dude probably some of the best mechanics in Portland hands down little pricey but I mean that's what you're going to pay for good service I totally recommend going here

I took my car there last week. The people were so friendly. They fixed things that was asked and never sold me unneeded work. They also fixed minor problems and didn't even charge me extra on top.

Had electrical work done and it was a joke. Gave me a scratch pad bill that simply said "new battery and electrical work" $600. Asked for itemized bill and claimed that they didn't do that. At the very least unprofessional.

I took my car in for a squeaking noise under the hood. The guys there said it was a bad bearing and they could locate and replace it, which they claimed they did. Two days later the problem continued and they would not refund my money.
