They took my car as a tow-in after an accident when absolutely no other shop could and even though they were so busy already, they knew I was in a tough situation and wanted to help. They did their best to fit in my car and get it fixed as quickly as possible given the circumstances. Monica provided amazing customer service and was so helpful, understanding, and transparent. They saved me money I wasn t expecting to save and my car looks absolutely brand new and better than it ever has. I m so happy with the service I got here and will definitely be back, thank you guys so much!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim

Thompson Auto Body is th best for many reasons. They take great car of you & your vehicle, they keep you informed via email/ text/ phone. It doesn't matter if it's a fender bender or major accident, they'll take care of your vehicle. One of the thing I liked was they knew how to deal with the insurance companies.I've taken my 4runner to them pre & pro COVID-19. Nothing changed with the my service.

I was parked at a red light minding my own business, and this person who thought texting and driving was a good thing, slammed into the back of my beautiful 2018 Honda Civic. Yes, I love my Civic! I was very leary of where to take my car to get fixed. I had several people recommended Thompson Auto Body, and they had a 4.9 star rating on Google. I called and a very nice woman named Monica set me up with the appointment. The estimated that it would take a week, and it ended up just being 5 days.. They did a beautiful job. They also replaced my passenger side mirror, which had a small crack and they reset my front bumper that was slightly out of alignment due to having to swerve to miss a homeless person, and I bumped the curb. They did this free of charge. Here is what I am going to say, every person I came into contact with was exceptional. They matched the paint perfectly. It's very obvious that these are good people.. They have earned my and my families business in the future, should we need it. Great job guys! Thank you Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The other glowing reviews are not exaggerating, truly such a relief to have gotten so lucky finding this place! I was in a car accident a couple years ago and initially took my car here but insurance ended up calling it totalled. Despite the fact that they never did any work on my car Monica was so kind and helpful that when I was rear ended about a month ago by an uninsured driver I knew immediately where to go. Monica not only squeezed me in early to get repairs done quick, they also removed an unrelated dent and fixed a bit of scraped paint, cleaned and vacuumed my car to the point that I almost didnt recognize it (its been a minute since my backseat has been so beautifully accessible) and then after all that Monica calls me up a few days before Christmas to tell me I can pick up my car... and Also a check for the leftover insurance money because they managed to get everything done for so far below the estimate that it not only covered my deductible but also enough leftover to buy a few more Christmas presents! Infinitely grateful to them and will never go anywhere else or let any of my friends go anywhere else for that matter!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

If I could give Thompson Auto Body 6 stars, I would. They did a stellar job of repairing my Nissan Versa after an unfortunate accident on Mt. Hood. Dealing with a less-than-responsive insurance company was a huge chore, so it was such a relief to have the folks at Thompson help me get the repairs I needed covered (and a rental car, too). Seriously, Monica is one of the nicest and most helpful people I ve ever worked with. When an insurance company is giving you the runaround, having an advocate like her makes all the difference in the world. I hope I don t need body work any time soon, but if I do I ll call up Thompson without hesitating.

I brought my car to Thompson Auto Body after getting wildly different estimates from other body shops. Monica did a great job in walking me through the work that was needed and provided a detailed and thorough estimate. The job ended up being completed ahead of schedule AND lower in price than the original quote! This shop exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely bring my car here again for any future work! Someone did a hit and run on my truck, I went to Thompson Auto Body without a appointment, and let me tell you Monica and the rest of the Staff did such an amazing Job not only with Customer service, but with explaining every step to getting my truck fixed. I have never been to this shop but they showed nothing but trust for us. They let us leave our truck with them, they called us to update us, they even went as far to hold our truck until we got back from our week Vacation. Not only will I give them my business, but I would be sure to recommend them to everyone I come into contact with. My truck was fixed within a week or so and now looks brand new. Everyone at Thompson Auto Body was kind, generous, and trustworthy the entire time. I have not felt comfortable in most car shops, as I had to take my Subie in MULTIPLE TIMES for it to still have problems, and even more than what we had came in for, so I was hesitant until I met Monica and the staff, we just got our Truck back today and it is in AMAZING condition. They did a really great job on our car. It needed body work done after someone hit it while it was parked outside our house. The insurance that the other person had was horrible and Monica at Thompson Auto Body really went to bat for us communucating with them. It was a pretty extreme situation with the complacency of the other insurance company but she was persistent and we could not have moved forward without her. She even followed up with extra emails to help us get reimbursed for some of the extra trouble. This is a solid business with great people running it. We are very thankful for our experience with Thompson Auto Body.

I've had my vehicles repaired a few times by James and Monica. They are very courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have done a great job for me and I highly recommend them for body and paint work.

My daughter was in an accident and we chose to use Thompson. They were AMAZING. Monica returned my call immediately and kept us up to date on the damage & repairs. They stayed in contact with our insurance company to make sure that everything moved along.They tried to have our insurance company pay for an original Chrysler part vs. aftermarket (they wouldn't). Thompson's felt so strongly that it needed to be the original part that they paid the difference.I will definitely use them again and send anyone who asks. I appreciate that they are in my neighborhood and have been for 28+ years.

They did an amazing job on my Subaru Outback. Even vacuumed and cleaned it inside and outside. I was very positively surprised. All the damage has been fixed quickly and very professionally. The result looks perfect. Service is excellent. They took care of rental reservation and dealing with the insurance. I can highly recommend this place and would always go here again.

Thompson is passionate about making your car right. I had a wonderful experience with them early last year. A side door protector strip was coming off a little, so I brought it back to them to check. They greeted me, stopped what they were working on to get it on removed and replaced. They cleaned up and polished that whole side, and then washed the whole car. Even worked on a couple of scratches I'd picked up. They apologized for me having to return, and would not take anything for the extra service. It is certainly my auto body choice should I need those services. Can't say enough good things about them.

Family owned, independent neighborhood body shop. That means they do best by you and not the insurance company. Monica works well with the insurance claims and knows all the ins and outs so don't let an adjuster steer you elsewhere. They are fair and do excellent work. They have a car here and there for sale too if you ever need.

I brought my Honda Odyssey to be repaired do to rattle noise on my bumper. I ordered a replacement to fix the problem. I got the vehicle back with a new painted bumper altho the problem with the rattling was not corrected. I take it back to have it looked at. The rattle was still the problem I take it in for. I was told it was the wind shield. I was gonna make another Appointment to have it corrected. Now I'm told they are to busy. I'm out of 1,100.00 for a new bumper that I probably didn't need and stuck with the same issue I brought it in for. I got the brush off, Ripped Off!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Great people, excellent service, perfect repairs.This shop is great. They communicate well with the customers and work tirelessly with your insurance to get the repairs done. The work is flawless and well documented. Highly recommended by myself and anyone else I know who has trusted them with their car.

I'm a certified auto appraiser and I have inspected a lot of repairs from Thompson Auto Body. In a sea of hack body shops in the area, where fraud is prevalent, Thankfully this is not one of them. In the past 10 years I've probably inspected hundreds of vehicles repaired by Thompson. I've never found any fraudulent work, or inferior repairs. The repairs have always been correct and I've only had to send maybe a couple back in all those years for minor things. They appear to put their clients first, and advocate for them. I highly recommend Thompson Auto Body if you're in need of collision repair. -Ken Nix ps. they do great paint work!

The best auto body shop in Portland is Thompson auto body! James and his team took incredible care of my Subaru Legacy and returned it to new. They don t let the insurance companies push them around and take pride in their work - I d recommend Thompson to anyone looking for paint work or auto body repairs.

I had some damage to the hood, quarter panel and doors of a Honda Accord. This company was thorough, affordable and fast. I had a great experience and know several other friends of mine who have as well. In fact, I learned about this company from a good friend who referred me.

Unfortunately on multiple occasions my husband and I have been in accidents. Each and every time Thompson Auto Body has made the process as painless as possible in a stressful situation. I am beyond happy with the work they perform in service! I refer all friends and family to this shop!

Friendly, knowledgeable, and faster with fixing my Subaru than they had originally predicted or another body shop had estimated. They even handled all the logistics with the rental car company while my car was getting fixed. Thanks!

Wow! Fantastic service and wonderful people. The replaced the running lights and reflectors on my 2019 Corvette Grand Sport. Did a wonderful job. Quick and efficent!

James fixed all the dents and dings in my father in law's Subaru so we could sell it for him. Trust me it was a job. The work was outstanding and the color matched perfectly.

I bought a car that was then painted by sir James(owner of the shop) and he really did a remarkable job. Paint was well blended and very detail orientated. Would recommend this shop to anyone
