I really like this repair facility. They are polite and professional. I ve been to several dealerships and many times that I ve had to return to them to get my car fixed correctly the second and third repair visits. I ve never had that problem with The V Shop. I ve never worried whether repairs were done correctly. I ve been so satisfied every time with the repairs done here. Thank you Kyle and everyone!Robert B.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I had an issue come up with my Volvo that needed pretty urgent attention, and I expected to have to leave my car at the V Shop for 1-2 weeks. I dropped it off and and it was ready and fixed completely within 3 days! Margaret is incredibly warm and communicative, and mechanic Goran called with updates every day. Their professionalism, friendliness and efficiency will make them my go-to mechanic going forward. Thank you to everyone to everyone at the V-Shop!

As a Volvo family that s been in area for multiple generations (and many vehicles), we ve been to most of the dedicated Volvo mechanics at some point over the last 50 years and the V Shop is hands down the best present day Volvo mechanic in Portland. Kyle is professional and flexible in his solutions and always happy to explain the why for any work done or recommended. He is objective when communicating whether a repair is optional or essential (which is greatly appreciated when trying to be cost conscious about European car repairs). We were happy to hear that after years as an employee he s taken over ownership of the shop. The shop is clean, they are always friendly and responsive about scheduling, and in a decade we have never been disappointed by the quality of their work. If you have a Volvo and want a no-nonsense mechanic you can trust, this is the place to go.

I've been very happy with my interactions with everyone here. In the past, I've found bringing a car in for service to be a bit painful but the V Shop team makes it easy! I appreciate that they don't push you for service that doesn't need to be done quite yet.

V Shop had my volvo S70 up and at em way quicker than expected. Mark was very knowledgable and made sure I was filled in on what they were doing every step of the way. V Shop did a great job and was very conscientious. I asked for a service not usually performed at my mileage, not only did Margaret confirm I wanted the extra service when I scheduled, but once again when I checked in. Then the mechanic called and explained all he found (not much of note) and explained what the extra service would cost approximately to make sure I was going to be happy before he began. He also identified issues with the third party tow package and recommended that we have it looked at by the installer before spending more money for them to fix it. I highly recommend the V Shop for your Volvo needs.

The V Shop has been servicing my car for 3 years now. So pleasant and just darn good at their jobs. They help me maintain everything proactively. They also never treat me like a girl who has no clue. Highly recommend for any Volvo service and repairs!

This hard core customer service critic was 100% satisfied. They know what they're doing and they are fair. You won't get ripped off here. I've used many auto repair shops over the years and I've never seen one that didn't rub me the wrong way - until now. Their customer care and detailed reports should be a model for other shops. One person posted that they were reluctant to tell everybody how great they are because it would make the wait list longer. I agree. But they treated me so well I feel that I owe them something in return. They will remain my Volvo repair shop from now on.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Peter checked out my car real quick before I bought it months ago. I offered to pay for his expertise and time and he said no, just bring it back if I buy it. So I did. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming and they feel very genuine and honest. This is where I'll be doing 100% of my Volvo service. Glad I found them almost on accident! They're also extremely professional with COVID precautions which I appreciate a ton. Definitely bring your volvo here!!!

We were shopping for a used vehicle and found a beautiful XC60. To the naked eye it appeared to be in great condition! Low miles, one-owner corporate vehicle, but we were told by the dealership that it had been in a 'minor accident', and that only cosmetic changes were made...yet the insurance company totaled it out - so it had a rebuilt title. All the paperwork and info we were receiving from the dealership made the car seem like a great buy, but we wanted a second opinion. The V Shop came highly recommended. I called Kyle before bringing the car in for an inspection and he offered to review the existing documentation and photos first. Based on that, he provided us with a thorough review, including concerns and next steps to take, including a recommendation to speak with our insurance company to evaluate all the risks associated with purchasing a rebuilt vehicle. We later learned that the dealership was having to make more than cosmetic changes to the vehicle and we ultimately elected to go a different direction. I can't thank Kyle enough for his detailed response and the time he took to help us make this important decision. We would recommend this shop to anyone that has a Volvo, because it is clear that they care about people. Incredible customer service and we are SO very grateful Thanks Kyle!

Very friendly and helpful. I stopped by here today to ask for help removing a stuck axle nut from an axle and steering knuckle I had removed from my Volvo 850. They quickly and happily removed the nut for me in minutes and didn't charge me a penny. Very nice people.I would give them more stars but I have not yet let them service my vehicle and therefore cannot rate that experience.

We brought our Volvo in with what we were told was a software issue. Created by simply changing out battery. Our first attempt was with Peterson s, in Vancouver, which we advised possible software update required. They were unable to repair and returned without any charge, even apologized.At which point we were referred to Vshop in Portland, who stated they had required software and when as far as a chuckle, about the the other shop not being able to complete repair.Vshop was not capable in fixing my vehicle either! But the major difference....$250... diagnostic charge! For? We still did not know what the problem was!In the end Fischer Volvo dealership service department fixed my vehicle. No parts were required! Resetting one of 3 modules is all it took! Just a good understanding of Volvo s!My opinion would be if a mechanic needs days with my car to do diagnostic there training/knowledge needs improvements! And I prefer it not be on my dime!!If you need plugs changed or an oil change, there very capable. But stay away from tech issues!

I usually do my own maintenance on our V70, but due to the inclement weather and no access to a garage I decided to let the professionals handle it this time around. SO glad I did. Not only were they able to get the engine fired up again and stop a bad oil leak, but also fixed a bad wiring harness for the back hatch resolving issues with a brake light, defroster, windshield wiper, and door lock that have plagued us for years. Very pleased with these guys performance!!!

Fair prices, friendly staff and not too much of a wait for appointments. They give it to you strait and help you figure out what's most important (being on a tight budget this is super helpful) and what can be done to save some moola if they are gonna have to pull something out or dig deep into the engine so while they're there here's what can be done for less money now than to do it all again. WELL WORTH THE WAIT IF YOU CAN :) TRUST IN YOUR MECHANIC MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

I live in Vancouver WA. I take our Volvos the V Shop in SW Portland with confidence. Kyle Isaac and the guys there really do QUALITY WORK.I have never been talked down to by them, and they even worked with me on special requests.If you love your Volvo, or just want it running and repaired right, look no further the V SHOP.

Best independent volvo shop around. I've gone to a bunch over the years, and the V Shop is by far my favorite. Always at or below the estimate and on time. I've trusted them with my '79 242 all the way to my 01 S80, and everything in between.

If you have a Volvo this is the only place you should take it!! They have done nothing but amazing, honest work for me in the years I've been bringing my car here. They even gave me some trouble shooting tips to see if I could fix a problem myself so I wouldn't have to bring my car in if it wasn't necessary. I will not take my car anywhere else!!

Kyle and everyone at the V Shop is knowledgeable, courteous, and patient; everything you look for in a service professional. Kyle fields all of my questions in a timely and easily understood manner. I am convinced the V Shop will not upsell me on anything or advise me to do anything superfluous or unnecessary. I've been going to the V Shop since 2013 and will continue to go to the V Shop for the foreseeable future. Thanks V Shop! Y'all do great work with my R!

I've been coming here for years with my old and now newer Volvo and love it, everyone is super nice, the repairs are perfect, and it's not too expensive. This is a great car shop for Volvos I am so happy they are here !!!

Programmed 2 new stand alone keys for about $300... very knowledgeable but wow those laser cut chipped keys are expensive... the dealership wanted $250 more

Mechanics are hard to trust, we all know that. These guys are good people. I know enough about cars to know that they're not trying to pull a fast one on me. This is a friendly and reliable place.
