I normally don't write reviews but I was so impressed that I felt obligated to. Incredible place. 5/5 would recommend. They were able to squeeze me in and get my tire fixed. The NEXT DAY I popped another tire and they got my in at the top of my list. They're so incredibly friendly and fast. They are now my go to auto mechanic.

Nice guys and good service. I wasn't thrilled that the tires I chose, when I made my appointment online, were not delivered in time for my appointment. BUT Jeremy recommended a different tire they had in stock and the guys did a great job with my service, at an even better price than the original tires. My car rides and handles so much better! I just would have liked to be notified, as I would have changed my appointment to the following week. I'll definitely go back when my front tires are worn.

LIFE-SAVERS!My partner and I were on a trip to Portland from the Seattle area, and one of my tires popped around 4:30pm on a Saturday, when all of the tire shops were closing for the weekend. Since we were planning on driving back to Seattle the next day, we were feeling rather frantic to find help. We both tried calling several tire shops, none of which could take us due to how close they were to closing. Finally, someone suggested we contact Sun Auto. The manager, Jeremy, was willing to accommodate us and stay late, with the help of Moses, who replaced the tire. They seriously saved us! I cannot begin to express my gratitude for their help, which allowed us to safely make it back to Seattle in one piece.Shout out to Jeremy and Moses for all their help!

Everyone I interacted with was so nice and helpful :) Before coming here, I haven t really had the best experiences at other auto repair stores and have grown to dread anything having to do with maintaining my car. My experience here was thankfully very refreshing and I will be returning!

Made an appointment in advance for noon. Drop off car 10 min before and go run errands. Come back in an hour car hasn't moved.Ask how long and say 1.5 to 2 hrs. For a oil. Change. Wait a little longer and leave after 2 hours when they haven't even touched the car.You know how to take a reservation, but you don't know how to hold it.Thanks wasting my time and not yours.

Stopped in this morning with a bad tire valve and it was repaired quickly with no appointment. A month ago I needed a set of tires, the same tires here were priced better than other shops in the area. Super friendly and helpful, recommend.

Absolutely amazing experience! I was on vacation when my car started breaking down on me, they got me in super fast and got it all fixed before the end of the day! The customer service was unbeatable, the communication was clear and I felt like they really cared about me as a customer. I have absolutely zero complaints about this place, amazing service

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Sun Auto on Sandy. My friend recently entrusted them with the task of programming the ABS brakes of his Kia, for which he paid a substantial amount of $161.00. Despite retaining the vehicle for several weeks, they failed to rectify the issue and subsequently instructed my friend to remove his SUV from their premises.Upon attempting to retrieve the vehicle, my friend encountered further complications. His calls to Sun Auto have gone unanswered, and upon inspection, it was discovered that the engine was emitting smoke and the gas tank had been punctured.It is deeply concerning that such a recommendation was made by Affordable Tires on 7th and Hawthorne. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against utilizing the services of Sun Auto on Sandy unless you are prepared to risk financial loss and potential damage to your vehicle.

Love this place. Everyone is so nice. Wasn t a customer and brought my car here for a flat. They removed the nail and fixed up my tire. Since I was due for new tires anyway, I decided to order and do the service through them. Great service and affordable. Highly recommend!

I brought in a wheel with a tire that had developed a slow leak. Since I had recently purchased these tires from Sun Auto, I took it to them for inspection. They promptly examined the issue and had it repaired within 2 hours, without any hassle or questions.

I ve never experienced such efficiency, professionalism and generosity like my visit to Sun Auto! I have a car that doesn t allow you to change your own headlights without removing an engine shroud and hoses and a number of other redundancies so the manual says take to dealership Thanksgiving weekend my headlight goes out so it was either get pulled over or pay to have a professional fix it when I called I wasn t even expecting to get in until the following week but they made room for me that day then they spent 45 minutes wrestling my car, brought me my keys, told me to have a great weekend and sent me on my way with no charge! Aside from restoring my faith in humanity you ve gained a customer for life and my eternal gratitude from the bottom of my heart: thank you Sun Auto!

Sun Auto Tire & Service on Sandy Blvd in Portland is a trustworthy, skilled, and friendly place to go when something happens to your car. We have been going here over the past several years (including when the location had different names previously). After running over a nail I was worried about having to replace one or more tires on a Subaru. These guys fixed it quickly and were so helpful. Highly recommend them!

I had 2 flat tires within a week or so. Each time, I brought my car to Sun Auto, even though the tires were not purchased there, and they timely repaired the damage at NO charge. I cannot recommend Sun Auto more highly.

I got my tires done here 2 weeks ago. After only a week one of my tires for a nail stuck in it and went flat. The team at Sun Auto was really helpful and replaced my tire for me without any hassle! I ll definitely be back

I had a leaking tire so got in and less than one hour it was done without a charge.Definitely recommend to everyone to try for a service here. Not only because it was free of charge for me but the place treat you well from start to finish in a timely manner. I walked in and was greeted promptly. The staff, all men were very friendly, and knowledgeable about my appointment. The young man who initially helped me appeared to be new, yet he was able to answer all of my questions with little to no help from his supervisor. Great service and fast turnaround.Had a flat tire over the weekend (turned out I ran over a screw)Jeremy and Jeff up front were super helpful, took my info and had my tire fixed in no time.Would give 6 stars if I could. I ll definitely be going back next time I m in need.

This place is awesome! They provide diagnostics with photos so that you understand the condition of your car. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Very fast service. Up to $500 off with a Costco membership. I use them for everything.

Professional, friendly, no unwanted upsells, and clean. I saw their oil change while you wait sign out front and stopped by. Took about one hour. I will bring them back my business when I m next in the area. Time to get a couple fresh magazine subscriptions for the waiting room lol but otherwise 10/10. Good job Brett, and thank you to your crew.

This shop is GREAT for competent car repairs. The service managers are considerate, reasonable and listen to what your repair priorities are. And steer you to the most critical issues, if you need to stagger the repairs because of costs, as I do.

This place did a probamatic oil change job and tried to scam us on top of it. We got a coupon in the mail and went in for an oil change. They told my wife that the front brake rotors needed replacement and quoted us almost $2000. We passed, preferring to take it to our regular mechanic. When we took it into him, he took one look at the front rotors and said they were as good as new!and we were being scammed. He also said each of the rotors was about $200 each and with labor to install them he would charge $600 max. A couple weeks later we got on oil, warning light. We took it back to our regular mechanic only to discover that the oil plug, which was intended to be one time use, was reused thus causing a leak. They didn t even put a new oil plug as they should have done. Horrible job and poor company.Update- they did reach out, apologized, saying they re going through a lot of transition, and tried to make right. Seemed well-intentioned. Updated to four stars.

I hate to even put a 1Star because this score deserves Zero.I have been returning to them for the past several months with most recently 3times over winter break to have them troubleshoot and fix a break issue that started shortly after they installed new brake pads and rotors on the front and back in April.I have been treated with dismissiveness, intimidation, and bullying.I feel hostage to the situation since there is a warranty on the work they did.No return phone calls, every time I come in, they act like they don t know me and have to ask for my name and my phone number.AutoSun,Please don t reply to this message with your I m sorry because frankly, I won t accept it.

Shout out to the guys at Sun Auto tire! I had a flat tire across the street. They came over, filled my tire to get it to the shop, put on the spare and didn t charge me a dime. The tire which is new, couldn t be fixed, so I have to take it back to where I purchased it. I will definitely do business with them in the future.Service: TiresService: Tires

Brett and the rest of the team were so helpful and kind to me today. It s always a bit intimidating going to new mechanics as a woman who knows nothing about cars. They did not talk down to me and treated me with so much respect. My car is running so much better now. I cannot recommend them enough

Got a screw in my tire. Called around a bunch of places, appointments were booked out days ahead and wait times at the closest Les Schwabs were 3+ hours. Sun Auto said to just come on down and they d patch it for $25 right then and there. Was in and out in 45 mins and they didn t charge me anything! Great friendly service, thanks guys!

So, wanted an oil change locally and new tires, but the employees chose to sit in their cars when the signage and Google clearly state open at 7am. Therefore, I chose to leave because my time and money aren't to be wasted or unappreciated.
