This was always a great convenient place to bring my 2020 wrx for oil change (until I trade in)They go above and beyond on the safety checkpoints, I had an exhaust leak I didn't know about, so after the front desk employee told me about it, I was able to take it back to the shop who did my exhaust, and got it fix.I usually do my own oil change, but this place makes it so easy to get my oil change.1. Great service.2. Great value.3. Out in usually 30-45min.

Been here for a number of repairs, oil changes, tire patches. The check in process is easy and the waiting area has some free convenience items and stuff for kids too. They are pretty good with communication regarding the work to be done and how long it will take.

We brought in our 2006 subaru forester into the service department to replace a part in our car. We called in Thursday and made a appointment for Saturday. They told us that the car would be available for pick up on Monday. So we waited. We got a call monday that the service tech that was supposed to do our repair wasn't in so they couldn't do the repair and they gave us a loaner. Not even 24 hours later they called saying they don't even have the part we needed to replace and now they are asking for the loaner back. They said the part won't be in stocks until July. It's March right now. So from this experience what we've learned is that subaru service department sucks at doing their job. They don't communicate to their customers or even to their staff. They don't hold parts even though we requested it. And their Ai calling program is complete garbage. They don't do their job and is just a waste of time. We had problems with their communication before and it's happening again. Last time they almost charged us $5000 for a $180 fix because they don't communicate with anyone. I'm considering going to another shop just because my experiences here have never been good. We gave them a second and third chance and they never learned. Sorry subaru but you need to be better

Came in to get my side splash guard replaced. They ordered the wrong part two different times. Why would you not ensure that it s the correct part before wasting the customers time? Do I get reimbursed for the time I took off work? Gas? Service and parts people that don t know what a splash guard is .wow last time I m coming in.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

James took really good care of me (and my car). I was traveling from out-of-town and he went the extra mile to make sure I could get back on the road ASAP. He was really kind and seemed to understand how challenging and frustrating having a car break down on vacation is and he really made things happen quickly and efficiently. He has been amazing to work with. Brandee also was really kind and helpful in seeing that I had a loaner car to use while mine was being fixed. Amazing service all the way around.

Just had an excellent repair experience with this repair shop. "Alex Moore" handled the extensive repair on my 2018 Outback on 8/19 through 8/26. Throughout, he was excellent. He promptly returned calls; explained the car's mechanics and what was needed for repairs; and had solid customer service skills. Also, really appreciated the loaner car, too.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I ve worked with service rep Deseo a few times now and have had a fantastic experience with him each time. He s very thorough and professional and gives excellent customer service! I didn t really have to do much at all, he went above and beyond to make sure my warranty coverages were applied, helped me out with estimates for additional things I was looking at needing to replace that wasn t an urgent safety issue and made me an appointment for that. I didn t feel like I was being taken advantage of or over charged and I just felt that he really took care of me making for a smooth and fearless experience each time I ve been in.I ve also had a great experience with the rental department rep, I don t remember her name but she has long black hair and is very nice, each time I ve needed a rental she s been very thorough and professional as well. The attendants at the car drop off points have also always been great, I appreciate the professional and mature manners when someone greets me and takes my vehicle for service it goes a long way in feeling comfortable and trusting as a member. Also everyone was very friendly and communicative with one another especially in transition from one department to another which is awesome and helps me feel trust in this location when I need to service my forester.Thank you for a great Subaru member experience!

I don t normally write reviews but also work in a service industry and I know the importance of it. Shoutout to Alex Moore for ensuring the happiness of a customer. He rocks! Additional shoutout to Subaru of Portland who I can see has put some increased investment in customer satisfaction. Good on yah! That s how you keep em coming back.

I want to make clear that my one-star rating is based solely on this company s poor customer service, and not on the quality of body shop repairs. It s really not my style to post bad reviews. I would much rather talk directly to the owner or manager of the business, but when they won t call you after 6 attempts to reach them, then this online review is the only avenue that might get their attention. So, here s my story. I called the body shop in late June to get a preliminary estimate. I was very pleased to receive a prompt estimate, since many shops require appointments booked weeks in advance. The person who provided the estimate was professional, and answered my questions in a very straightforward manner. At the time I got the estimate, I wanted to further evaluate online reviews of this company. After a few days, I notified the body shop that I wanted to work with them, and that I would be filing a claim with my insurance company. My insurance company notified me that they had sent an electronic assignment to Subaru of Portland s body shop. So far, so good, it appeared. I emailed the estimator asking for an approximate timeline on how long it takes to resolve any issues with the insurer, and when I could expect to schedule the repair. And, I did not receive a response. The next day I called to ask to speak with the estimator, and was told she was not available, but would call me back. No call back. I repeated this process twice the next day; no call back. By that point, I had made four unsuccessful attempts to communicate with this business with no response at all. By the fourth day I decided that this level of customer-no-service was unacceptable, and switched to an alternate body shop. I still wanted to let management at this dealership know about my negative experience, so I submitted an entry on their website, asking specifically for the MANAGER of the body shop to call me. All I got was an automated email saying it looks like you need service, please call us to schedule. So, I replied to that message, and once again, asked for the MANAGER of the body shop to call me. Silence. It feels as if I'm holding up a sign to this business: "PLEASE, can I be your customer?" and they're saying: "NOPE!" So, if you want to get your vehicle repaired at this shop, think carefully about whether you want to enter the communication twilight zone.

My experience was a LONG and FRUSTRATING one. COMMUNICATION - I was initially told my car should be done in about a week's time. After that time passed I e-mailed and used their text message link to ask for an update. I waited a few days and then called multiple times and found out that the estimate changed to 3 weeks. Another 3 weeks passed and again the deadline passed and ZERO COMMUNICATION until I called and called. I even requested that if the timing changed that they contact me, but still no follow-up whatsoever. I get it, estimates are estimates.. but the lack of professionalism in updating me about what was going on will stop me from ever going back or recommending this body shop. The staff were nice WHEN I was able to get a hold of them, but it takes literally 5 minutes to give a courtesy call to give an update instead of leaving a customer in the dark about where and what is going on with their vehicle. My car ended up being there for 2 months after the initial 1.5 week estimate and NOT ONE TIME did I get a call to let me know what was going on. I had to send e-mail after e-mail and call multiples time to track down the person who knew what was going on. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you care about communication and transparency or timely repair turnaround.

The bad: 1/3 of the crew was not wearing masks. 1/3 of the crew was constantly pulling them down or to the side to talk to each other. I don t know how they think masks work, but it s not like that.I started taking pictures of the crew not wearing their masks and suddenly they all knew exactly how to wear a mask. When I got my car, they did absolutely nothing to disinfect. There was a plastic sheet over the seat, but that s it.Beyond that, when I first pulled in, I requested that on top of the recall work they were doing, I would like them to check my wiper fluid nozzles, but please give me an estimate before doing any work. I said this three times, and it wasn t until the last that the man mentioned there would be something like a $140 fee just to check. I understand some shops do this, but I ve never been somewhere that was so secretive about it. I told him no thank you.The next day, they called me in the morning to tell me my brakes were in the red and almost shot, and I also had three bulbs out. I said no thank you. I told him I would like him to ensure that all of those concerns are inventoried for me when I pick up my car. My reasoning was that I just had the car inspected by another shop who told me the brakes were great.I go to pick up my car later that day and, like magic, there are only two bulbs out and the brakes are not in the red! In fact they have half their life left. These people are incompetent at best, and predatory liars at worst. The good: they got my car done in one day (although I had made an appointment and they said it would be 1-2 days, then when I came in they said it wouldn t be done for 4-5 days). The lady who put me in a loaner was very nice, helpful, and followed basic guidelines of COVID safety.SUMMARY: There are way better places to go.

I have yet to have a bad experience here. Everyone is super nice and very professional. I've been in a few times for different things and have always been treated well, and felt like my car was in good hands. Their customer lounge is also nice which helps when you decide to stay on site.

Where do I even start. If I could give no stars I would. I had issues with this service department before, but I thought since the new facility and the change in things it would be better, absolutely not. If you wanna pay for an overpriced oil change or you have a warranty for whatever needs to be fixed, I am sure here is fine. Firstly, the idea of having a technician look at your car and then a glorified data entry, and cashier to explain what the technician typed in their report is absurd. Especially when the service person wants to act confidently in what they are telling you, yet they were not in fact the person that even looked at your car. When you question them about anything, they get absolutely rude and seem to think it is strange for them to be questioned. I took my car in to get the brake fluid flushed. The tech said that they wanted to do a diagnostic and that they "guessed" that there was an internal leak in the brake master cylinder but they would have to a do a diagnostic to check that would cost $172 on top of what it would cost to do the replacement of the brake master cylinder. I wanted to just do the flush, see if that worked. It did not, so I was going to bring my car back in two days later to get the master brake cylinder replaced. This seemed to confuse the person I spoke to on the phone. Said I should speak with my previous service person, that would call me back in 5 minutes. 2-3 hours later I call back and now that person is on lunch. By this time I had taken my car to another mechanic that would look at it for free and tell me what was wrong with it. I asked to get a quote for a master cylinder brake replacement since the tech from Subaru seemed confident this was the issue. They quoted me $900 while the other trusted, kind, not rude mechanic quoted me $595, not to mention the fact that they could get it done in one day, instead of sitting with my car there for days as I am sure Subaru would have done. The only perk of taking your car there is to get a loaner car, but it was even cheaper for me to just get a rental for one day and use Everret Auto Repair. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They should be ashamed of themselves the price gauging they do. It is beyond immoral and unethical.

Mike William are super helpful! It's a auto shop with great people working there! I brought my car there for a quick service, since someone hit the bumper in Olympic NP and ran. As a tourist, that's truly unfortunate. But Mike heard my story, accommodate me the earliest time slot to help me out as a out of state tourist, with a super reasonable price and get my car ready in 2 1/2 days while many other places may say for a week! I truly appreciate everything they did there for me! Strongly recommend for everyone who need a service! They are the good hands you can trust! Thank you!

My experience with Subaru of Portland was good as usual but especially today when after a one hour express service turned into three hours, Vaughn the person that helped me got busy and didn't see my paperwork until later apologized for the error and didn't charge for the service! That's real customer service!

Multiple experiences with generally terrible customer service. They will do little too actually investigate or answer questions at all, seemingly having no knowledge of cars beyond how to schedule service and upsell you. Totally unhelpful and unpleasant. They care about your money and nothing else.

I got a pre-purchase inspection done on a 2006 forester that was being sold by a private party. Subaru got me in same-day on a Saturday, which was fantastic. The inspection was a bit expensive ($180), but they found over $3,500 in needed repairs which were not apparent from my test driving. We did not buy that car!

Good experience overall. Visiting PDX from Indiana. Had driven 3,000+ miles in past week so thought it would be a good idea to get oil change even though not actually due. Glad I was first to arrive as shop got busy quickly. Used discount coupon from dealer website. Assumed courtesy car wash would be included but advisor said not so. He did call detail shop to see if they could wash car but said nobody was there. I had just walked by car wash about 10 minutes earlier and knew it was operational. After paying I stopped by car wash and spoke with Marshall. Asked if I could get a quick wash and he very kindly obliged. Did prewash by hand and then ran through autowash. Marshall made what would have been an average experience a very good one!Service: Oil change

I had a problem with the audio between my iphone and the navigation in my car. What had previously worked fine, all of a sudden stopped giving me audio directions. I reached Vaughn Craft in the service department and he said he could help me if I could stop by. I stopped in and Vaughn resolved my issue in a couple of minutes. What was easy for him, was perplexing for me. Vaughn was so friendly and resolved this annoying issue very quickly for me. I appreciate his flexibility and willingness to take care of my issue.

Great place to shop for cars. Non-pressured sales, good inventory, knowledgeable sales people. Parking for customers may not be obvious; it's in the lot itself, which is important in such a busy place. Service located on-site. Also: dog-friendly show room.

Brought my car in for a tire rotation and tire patch. James, the service advisor, was incredibly helpful and professional. Gave me some very solid advice on some the issues I wasn't even aware of with my Subi. Honestly the most informative any place has been. Also the whole crew working there were just very pleasant. Not to mention they have a nice waiting room with free coffee and snacks.

Top notch service that beats all the instant oil change etc, if you have the time. They ll pay for a Lyft to a destination (and back) if needed. Always honest and never try to upsell. My service rep was Matt and set the expectations of when the car would be done and beat it.
