I recently brought my 2016 Ford Explorer in for a knock sensor replacement. Craig and his two mechanics, Max and Sergio, stayed late to get my vehicle back on the road. The cost was the same as the price quoted. Maggie was so helpful in sharing information. What an impressive team! Thank you Rag Muffler and Brake-- I will look forward to using your services in the future as needed.

Had a leaking brake line on my 2005 Saab 9-2X (common Subaru problem) and was having a hard time finding a shop to do the work. to replace the line. Rag had a look at it and fit me in to their schedule the next day to have the work done. Cost was very reasonable and I'm very happy with the repair!

I brought in my 67 mustang fastback in, with a freshly rebuilt big block 428 engine, but older exhaust that was both too tight and so loud you could hear it for blocks away with the ancient glasspacks for mufflers. Craig did a beautiful job dropping in 2.5" custom exhaust front to back, custom bent to fit. Pass-through mufflers to take the painful edge off but not block flow, and give the motor a low rumble at idle and glorious low thunder when I hit the gas. When there wasn't room for the length of muffler I wanted he came up with a design that inlined glasspacks in front, working with the scarce space under the vintage body. When all done it was breathing better, pulling strong, and a delight to the ears without the headache.The biggest thing was that he was full of great advice, but worked with me to get the balance of performance and sound I wanted. I had walked away from other shops where I felt like I was fighting to get my car the way I wanted it. Never for a second here.They took meticulous care of my vintage car. And the work was gorgeous.

Honest. The price was a bit higher than what they quoted me so I mentioned that and they dropped it 20%. Trucks running SO much smoother now too.. Very happy customer

Great quality automotive repair for brakes and mufflers. Friendly staff and very generous owner who throws a neighborhood block party every year with free BBQ food, sodas and water, and live music for anyone who wants to attend.

One morning realised we have stolen catalytic converter, quick search online pin-point nearby shop, Rag Muffler. Call to shop returned excellent over-phone estimate and suggestions - what can I do to prevent future vandalism/theft. Delivered bus with metal plate for shield and metal cable '' to obstruct future cuts.Excellent job Will do any future business with you.

I was a new customer when finally fixing an exhaust leak. Called and they got me in the next day to diagnose and as expected I needed a new muffler. They called me at 3pm with the quote and with my approval they got the job wrapped up before close same day! 100% recommending them to anyone who asks.

This auto shop is amazing, I'm struggling rn and they helped me save about 500 dollars by doing a code check for me after the Mitsubishi dealership falsely told me I had a fuel tank sensor problem that wasn't existent. I really appreciate the head repairman seeing to it personally and getting the matter resolved super quickly, I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to figure out where I was gonna get money for a nonexistent problem.

I had purchased a head pipe for my daughter's ATV. It has a slip-on with a slightly larger diameter than the stainless steel head pipe. I took both parts in, and they were able to expand the pipe to fit inside the slip-on perfectly. The guys were very helpful and did it in less than 5 minutes.

We had our catalytic converter stolen and our regular repair shops could not get to it for 2-3 weeks. I called Rag on a Friday and the lady receptionist said they should be able to get it fixed by the next Monday. Great I said I would bring it in. My insurance company had even called them with the details by the time I had arrived. However I was told when I arrived that the estimator was not in and would not be able to look at it until Monday. I left the car anyway. I then called on Monday afternoon to see what the status was and was told the had not got to it yet and to wait to get a call from then. Finally on Tuesday they called me with an estimate left on voicemail. I called them back as soon as I could and they said the would order the part and have it in Wednesday. Finally on Wednesday I called asking if i would be able to pick it up before they closed, at which point they said it just went in and while I was on the phone the technician yelled it would be done in 90 minutes.I wanted to get my car fixed quickly and told them to go ahead and fix it and I would pay to keep the insurance from delaying it. But the Communication from Rag was not great and was misleading. The price was great ($680 in mid 2022) and they got it done faster than my alternatives. I just wish my expectations were set better from the start.

I don t leave reviews unless I m blown out of the water!We had our catalytic converter stolen on a Sunday. I called them up Monday, I got an appointment for Tuesday and we got our car back Wednesday afternoon. Not only was everywhere else booked out for weeks, but everywhere else was also charging at least double what Rag quoted. Fortunately we had insurance but their prices were by far the fairest and these people are quick and efficient working with our insurance company and keeping us informed. Will definitely be going back if we ever need to.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went to Rag for one issue (that they caused the last time I brought my car in), they turned off the engine light and could not diagnose it and then charged me for another issue they found, completely unrelated. THEN on top of it all drumroll please. I go to pay for the work and pick up my vehicle only to find out that oh hey by the way, we left your door cracked open over night and drained your battery. We ll have to give you a jump, one sec for the rest of that evening, my car would not start. I missed a doctor s appointment and work the next day because of their mistake. Worst of all, they barely took responsibility for the aftermath claiming my batter was already 4 years old. I told them despite the age of my battery that I d never before had something like this happen and that they should compensate me as a customer who entrusted my car to be safe with them overnight. I asked for them to provide a free new battery and installation to compensate for their mistake and they denied, started making up excuses and offered to install it for free if I purchased a new one. Total waste of time, energy and money. Every time I go there for an issue, I leave discovering an issue that did not previously exist. Totally unfair.Find a trustworthy auto shop.

My catalytic converter was stolen and my insurance had my car towed from my house, lost it for 10 days and finally got it to Rag's. Shout out to Maggie at Rag's for taking my numerous calls hoping it was there and looking into it herself by calling my MIA insurance adjuster. They did a great job with the replacement and even secured my tailpipe which was a little loose! Thank you!

These guys are straightforward and solid. Quick work and good prices. Good welds. They have fixed my Mercedes exhaust twice, once for a leak and once from an attempted cat theft.

Anytime I have an exhaust issue, this is the only place I will ever go to! Straightforward and very affordable! Let me just say, these guys know their stuff! These guys are amazing and have great personalities! I brought my four-year-old son with and everyone was smiles and went out of their way to occupy my son even! Hands down best muffler exhaust place in all of Oregon and cheapest! I love these guys. Give them a try before anyone else in town! Trust me, you will thank me later.

I wish more businesses were like Rag Muffler. In addition to installing a new muffler for a mere $125, the guys spent 45 minutes tracking down an elusive exhaust squeak that turned out to be a few loose bolts and didn't charge me anything for the trouble. The shop is clean and well organized, the waiting room is decent (though you probably won't have to wait long) and the quality of work was outstanding; clean, professional welds and quality parts. Plus, they're just nice people.

Their work was good, but it cost $700 over the quote they gave me, and I realized talking to another mechanic that they really should have known how much it would be based on the issue at hand. It financially wrecked me, I was initially really relieved at the quote they gave me but I drove away crying. That said, their work is quality, and timely.

I brought my 2016 Dodge Charger RT in for aftermarket performance exhaust a few months ago. A few weeks later it was discovered that the wrong size pipe and mufflers were used. I brought my car back in and immediately Rocky and his crew went to work fixing the issue until I was 100% satisfied and at no extra cost. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone and have actually brought my car back for additional work and am bringing in another vehicle today for aftermarket exhaust. Phenomenal customer service, attention to detail, and amazing craftsmanship truly describe what Rag Muffler and Brake are all about. I couldn't be happier with my experience with them.

Had the guys down at Rag install a catback kit and a rear motor mount. Took the car out and ran it pretty hard. No leaks, no rattles. A perfect install install in just few hours at a respectable price.I'll Absolutely come back for future work.

Absolutely outstanding. Fixed my muffler delete on my Mazda 3. No bull and honest. Help confirm an odd sound and trace it to its source as well. They told me an 1-1.25 hour and when I got back a little after an hour it was already done for me. Great shop here. I will definitely return when I'm ready to do my brakes.

I've had Rag's work on my exhaust system, do my shocks, and replace my brakes. Both times I've been in I've worked with the owner and the same mechanic.I like coming here because they do quality work in a timely manner at a decent price. I also like that their customer service is on point. As a woman with a classic car, I take an active interest in my vehicle and I do not want to be talked down to. They get that. They give me choices, they answer my questions, they show me what they're doing, and we talk about the care of my car. I also like that their office and parking lot are tidy, and that their shop is clean.When I first got my car and needed work done, I was a bit anxious. I hadn't owned a classic in a long time and I was doing some things for the first time. Rag's made it super simple. I'm proud to be a customer here.

These guys are great! Fair prices, excellent service. I brought my 2001 Ford Escape in to have a clogged rear catalytic converter replaced. Other shops quoted over $400 for the fix, Rag did the job for $250. Highly recommend these guys, they've been in the game a long time and know what they're doing.

I work next to these guys and finally stopped in to ask about a better performing muffler. I told them what I was looking for and they zeroed in on a recommendation. I took their advice and I am glad I did. They nailed it - great sound, power and price. They had me in and out within an hour of me walking in.

Consistent pricing, fast, quality work. Have gotten two catalytic converters replaced there- $100/hr shop labor rate (they know what they're doing so it's fast), $150 flat to weld a protective cable over the cat. Will be back!

This shop experience was great. I should have wrote this review many months back when I went in, but I got swept up with life. The fact that I am writing it now should be a testament to how impressed I was with them. They were friendly, professional and made me feel valued as a customer. I thought I had a muffler issue based on the codes my engine light was pulling after swapping parts out and erasing the code repeatedly. My engine light just kept coming come back on. They listened carefully to what I had to say, did a quick diagnostic, thoroughly talked though it afterwards, ran a couple more tests just to see if they could tease anything out and gave me their best insight on what could be going on. Better yet, they did a little research afterwards to send me in the right direction and they didn t even charge by the end of it. I will definitely come back should I ever have muffler or brake items to have taken care of- Go to this shop, they care about what they do and it reflects on how they treat their customers and their cars.
