Josh gave a very detailed report and video for a car I was looking at in Troutdale (I live in CA). He answered the extra set of questions I had in regard to the same car with honest answers. Definitely a good investment if you plan on buying a car from out of state.

Paid them to schedule an inspection and provided them with information of the dealer and website. They called the dealer to schedule the inspection but the car was sold, they kept $40 for making that call and not refund me the entire amount claiming they made a research of the car when I handed them all the information of the car including carfax. Biggest scam, awful service and experience robbing people of their money.

Josh inspected a vehicle that we were thinking of purchasing, and we are so happy we had him do it. His communication was wonderful, and he provided the inspection report immediately after reviewing the vehicle. The Platinum Inspection report was incredibly thorough and helped us make what feels like the best decision. With the high cost of used vehicles today, this inspection felt like money well-spent. I am so, so glad we went with Josh to check out a used car for us in Portland. The report he generated was phenomenal, and he was very helpful in promptly writing us back to explain pieces of it we didn't understand (we're not terribly car savvy people). Also highly recommend the video to any out-of-state buyers. He showed us every angle and detail of that car from front to back. The report also cued us into several things that WE wouldn't have even noticed had we been there in person! I wish there was one of him in every state! He's made it so now I only want to buy a car in Oregon so I can make sure his company has checked it out before buying!

Excellent, personable, and THOROUGH service, with practical, no-nonsense and unbiased statement of facts. Oh, and timely - Signed up on Sunday for an inspection on Monday noon-ish, and got a half dozen page report with heat maps and all by Monday afternoon. Even the dealership staff where the inspection was done mentioned how professional and "a nice guy" Josh was. I definitely recommend to contact them before you invest thousands of $$ in a car.

Contacted Josh for a survey on a car in Portland. Josh advised me not to buy that model of that year due to overall problems, so I did not. I got this advice free of charge, as Josh did not do a survey. Great communication, great knowledge in his job.I will - for sure - use Josh when I need a survey next time. Thanks!!

I hired josh several months ago after finding the 4runner of my dreams. Only issue was that a several hundred miles away, with no way of going to see the vehicle myself, or test driving it. Josh to the rescue - he did SUCH a thorough inspection of my 2005, nothing came to us as a surprise upon delivery. If something came up in the weeks to follow, I would remember "oooh, Josh mentioned this". I was definitely skeptical at first with such a large purchase, but the detail in the report, and the timely follow up, put me at ease when it came to making the decision to pull the trigger on a vehicle purchase, sight unseen. Would definitely use him again if i ever buy in the Portland area again. Thanks, Josh!!

Josh did a fabulous job of inspecting my recently purchased 2008 Toyota 4Runner. He arrived on time, very efficiently inspected every inch of my vehicle using some very nifty tools, explained his findings to me, and produced a very thorough report. I feel much better now knowing the state of my vehicle and am going to move forward on his recommendations to make my car safer and better maintained. His website is also full of helpful information. I highly recommend his auto inspection service.

We found Josh through a recommendation from our neighbor who had also recently purchased a car, and had a great experience using PDXinspections, and Josh didn't disappoint! I am buying a used car sight-unseen from out of state. Josh gave me more than enough information and photos to feel completely confident about what I am getting. He was very prompt to reply to my online request and communicated with me regularly throughout the process of scheduling the inspection. The dealer gave him a bit of a run-around -- "the car is here; no, it's there; it's not available today; call somebody else tomorrow." Josh followed through with them and kept me in the loop. He was very professional in his exchanges with the dealer and me. In fact, he has done a far better job communicating with me than the deal has. Josh's report is very comprehensive and easy to understand. Overall, I'm very happy with the level of service and certainly would recommend PDXinspections!

I was blown away by the level of detail I got from the inspection. Josh was informed, punctual, worked around my (and the sellers) schedule and provided a VERY in depth report on the vehicle within a couple of hours.I'd recommend PDXinspections services to anyone looking to buy a used car in the Portland area. Well worth the time and money for peace of mind.

Josh exceeded my expectations. His email replies are clear and prompt, and his reports are thorough and easy to understand. When we hit a glitch with the car seller - the guy no-showed us - Josh even had a process for that, which allowed us to reschedule a few days later. PDXInspections helped me NOT to buy a car, and for that I feel like it was money well spent.

Excellent pre-purchase car inspection service! I was able to book an appointment the night before for a Platinum inspection the following day. Communication with Josh was excellent - both through email and phone. I wasn't able to be present for the inspection but the report shows that he does a very detailed, high quality job. You get a very good idea of the condition of the vehicle. I was able purchase the vehicle with peace of mind, knowing there wouldn't be any "surprises" down the road. This is a very convenient way to get an inspection done instead of having to make a trip to a nearby mechanic (which may also have a conflict of interest) and at a fair price. I recommend this company and will be using them for future car purchases.

I was buying a car at a distance, and wouldn't be able to have my local mechanic check it out. Online advice indicated on-site inspections couldn't be quite as comprehensive as in-shop, but the reviews about PDXinspections convinced me they were worth a try. Josh was prompt and professional, and his detailed report gave me enough info to know which kind of repairs I would need to plan for as I negotiated the vehicle purchase. Thanks, Josh!

Just excuses .Avoid inspections with this company. Josh may or may not identify issues and has no interest in standing behind his work when he does miss something. I ordered the deluxe inspection when purchasing a used car recently. He missed the cracked radiator (which is upwards of $1,000 to fix). With all his disclaimers absolving him of any responsibility for his work, I m still trying to figure out what the benefit was in paying for his services. My mistake. Hopefully this review will save you from experiencing what I have. I had hoped to get an idea of any existing major issues from a knowledgeable professional. My expectations were not met. I encourage you to consider other companies that will stand behind their work and that see the importance in working with the customer to provide a reasonable resolution when major issues are overlooked.

I booked Josh at PDXInspections to inspect a used car for me, simultaneously as I was coming in from out of town on the train. He was extremely responsive, prompt, considerate, and helpful -- fit me into the schedule in a way that totally met my needs, and reserved a time slot for me even though I hadn't yet completed booking the service on the web.the salesman at Ron Tonkin Honda said he had never seen an inspector be this thorough.Josh found a number of issues with the vehicle and I was able to get the dealer to correct the significant ones before buying the car.Well done, sir !!

I scheduled a PPI for an exotic English car with Josh and then called the dealer to confirm. The dealer in question knew of Josh and PDX which is always a good sign. Unfortunately the dealer sold the car before the inspection which is their right since I had not put a deposit on the vehicle. Josh was very understanding and promptly refunded the fee. Very professional. If I am looking at another car io buy in Washington I will definitely call PDX.

I used PDX Inspections today while buying (helping my mom buy) a used car from a private party. The inspection was very thorough, and response from Josh to my questions same day of the inspection were also thorough and prompt. You will likely pay more (and perhaps get more) than a dealer pre-purchase inspection, and this is way more convenient. I would expect sellers to prefer this too, and definitely less hassle to buy the car. Thanks to Josh for providing an excellent service.

I am so happy I used this service for my used vehicle. It's super helpful that Josh comes to you to do the inspection and he is very thorough and professional. I highly recommend using his service for valuable information about your car as well as peace of mind. Worth the money.

Very happy with Josh and his work. Bought a used rig and had a few doubts after driving for 2 days (had 5 days to return it). Found Josh, he came to our house within a few hours and gave us great peace of mind about our purchase. All checked out and now we don't have to worry about having made a mistake. Josh Lawson was outstanding in all regards! I have dealt with many inspectors over the past 6 months and Josh met all of my expectations! I am purchasing a vehicle over the internet and am relying on pre purchase inspections to guide my purchase.Once again, Josh was great, not a lot of hot air like so many others whose reviews were less than stellar!

4 years ago I was researching and had my eye on 3 different trucks. Josh inspected all 3 of them and possibly saved me from purchasing a lemon. Here four years later my truck is still running great and in retrospect his thorough auto inspection in the beginning was a sound investment. It doesn't matter if you're spending $2000 or $20,000 ~ PDX Auto Inspections by Josh are analytical, high tech and super insightful making this service well worth the money. Thanks Josh!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but the excellent service Josh/PDXInspections provided makes me want to share. I was buying a used Prius from a Jaguar dealer that disavowed any knowledge of the car's mechanical condition and was selling it as-is. The dealer was only willing to hold the car off the market for 48 hours to allow for an inspection. I researched options on the web, and selected and scheduled PDX Inspections without really knowing whether it would work out. Josh was immediately responsive, pulled the carfax and other reports and sent them to me, and scheduled to review the car. The work he did was excellent -- the Jaguar dealer's mechanics were a bit annoyed at how thoroughly he inspected the vehicle, and guessed that I paid significantly more for the service. I will definitely call PDX Inspections again when I replace my wife's car.

Josh at PDXinspections knocked it out of the park. I wanted to move fast on a used car and needed someone who could look at it ASAP. After filling out the work order form at midnight I heard back from him early the next morning. He was amenable to meeting me near work and had already started inspecting the car before I even got there. After some conversation and looking over the car together he spent about an hour and got the inspection report back to me right away.The price was superlative, the friendliness level was super high, and the inspection was so thorough that I could tell he had gone over the whole car with a fine toothed comb.Highly recommended for a quick turn-around, low price, high quality inspection.Thanks PDXinspection, you made my day.

The owner Josh has done an incredible job on the inspection of my vehicle, he did way above and beyond his call of duty to make sure everything is done to perfection. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend him to inspect your vehicle if you are looking for someone to do this job. His charge is very reasonable and very low compare to the quality of his work.
