I normally do the work on both my wife s and my car but I was missing a couple tools to fix my thermostat on my vehicle and lacked the time working 10-12 hours a day. They did a good job on fixing my thermostat and did it same day but unfortunately I had a pair of ray ban sunglasses ($120 sun glasses that I had saved up for) that were in my door when I dropped it off and are no where to be found in the car. Thankfully Ashely had called me back to refund the amount for a new pair though. After further inspection I found a bolt literally hanging on by a thread. I was also informed that they have warranties on their repairs and would have taken a look at it if I had taken it back in.

I've been a client of this business for almost 40 yrs. Dan Molner and his team have done work from the mundane to the miraculous on my various vehicles. I can't sing his (their)praises loud or long enough to convey my respect, my faith and my gratitude! He is a credit to his profession.

This is my FAVORITE place and experience with auto repair! Ashley is so wonderful and I so appreciated the thorough communication and problem solving. They are so great at communicating through the process while being honest and trustworthy. They even text you along the way. They have done two repairs on my 1995 Ford RV and it's running GREAT! I explained how I'm moving my family across country and needed my old rig in tip top safety shape and they let me know what needed to be done without overselling me. Overall they've done multiple sensor replacements, a transmission tune up, an exhaust leak repair, plugs and hose repairs, and they even fixed my cigarette lighter electrical! You need to make an appointment but you appreciate the appointment because they are so timely once it's your turn. They're busy so they spend their time wisely! Highly recommend this place and calling to make your appointment when you need trustworthy work done on your vehicle. Thank you all to at the Parkrose Auto & Truck Repair team! And super thank you Ashley! Really appreciate you all!

Parkrose Auto & Truck Repair is a staple in the Parkrose community! There isn't many mechanics that I trust, but Dan and his crew have always come through when others won't or can't! All around good homegrown people!

We were pulling a travel trailer along the highway when our transmission overheated on a Friday afternoon near the Portland airport. We managed to make it Parkrose Auto & Truck Repair and they did an amazing job getting us back on the road. We had 1,500 miles to go and made it home safe and sound thanks to those folks, who know what they're doing and do it well.Service: Transmission

I mostly communicated with the owner/operator of Parkrose, Dan. He worked on my Japanese import (1997 Mitsubishi Delica van), something other mechanics would not do, as it requires some research for the correct parts. I appreciated that.Throughout the process of the maintenance and repairs of my vehicle, Dan contacted with progress updates. Another positive was that my van was kept in a locked facility overnight (it wasn't a one day job).If Dan reads this, thanks for sharing your sea stories with me, and thank you for the hard work put in on my van.

I have been going to Parkrose Auto and Truck for many years. Just recently as we were preparing to go out of town our truck experienced and electrical failure. Dan was busy with many other customers but managed to fit us in. He not only found the only remaining part available on the west coast, but we were able to get it, install and we were ready to go pin our trip. In my experience Dan puts the importance of customers high on his list of priorities. Even with lots of other things to do, he took care of us and made sure we had what we needed. I ll be coming back when I need their help again.Service: Electrical

Third mechanic we spoke to about our camper van. The only one that was honest and cared more about our safety than money. Finally felt safe in our car after Dan took a look and did what he could to get us back to Vancouver.

These guys took our 2010 F350 diesel in to repair & replace the power steering pump and belt's had to be replaced with the proper belts, that Firestone had put on in our emergency breakdown last Saturday. Our truck is Now operating in great condition with the brakes and steering working as it Should have,.. after Firestone worked on it telling us we were good to get back on the road pulling our 2018 5th wheel camper. Which it wasn't fixed properly. Thanks Parkrose diesel Truck & Auto repair for correcting the problems with our truck! We appreciate a Job well done, and your prompt attention to our needs.

Horrible. Initially went in for head gasket leak, replace. It took 3 months or more. When they suggested other issues to fix, I paid and let them. What started as $8000 repair ended up to over $11,000. I finally got my Diesel truck back, drove it fine for several months. Went to move my two horses from Vancouver to Montana. Picked up my horses from Oregon city made it to Hood River when I lost power after a popping sound. Paid a mechanic to come look at it, he diagnosed two injectors failed. I had laid an extra $1000 when they suggested I replace my functioning ones with new ones. Then I had to have it towed back to the shop, which I paid for $520 plus what I paid the mechanic in Hood River. I had to have my son bring my Tahoe to which I had to have the trailer hitch hook up rewired. This incident coat me about $1000. They "fixed" ina couple of days. I was at the time in the process of moving from Vancouver, wa to Hot Springs, Mt. So I go to pick it up and I am now owing black smoke everytime under load, going up a hill or hitting the gas hard. I was moving 5 car engines this time and was told it would be fine, bring it back when you get back. I drove all they way to Haugan, Mt no problem besides billowing black smoke. Parked it, fine. Got up the next morning, same issue, no power wouldn't go. I luckily found a local mechanic who spent 15 minutes and said the injector points needed to be closer. It was fine after that until on the way back. Made it all the way to rest stop just outside of Boardman,OR when once again, failure, two other injectors failed. We had taken two vehicles so this time, I Had this shop tow it back. That was the near the beginning of September, I am still waiting for my truck back . They now tell me it will another $3000 for injector regulator I believe. I had to move to Montana without my PU. I had to have friends use theirs and tow a trailer for me. Not happy at allServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Brought my 2005 Ford F150 in because of an issue that other garages in the past failed to resolve. Parkrose repair was able to diagnose and resolve the issue in one day and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend. Thanks!

On our trip threw Oregon on the highway something came off one of the vehicles in front of us and with the amount of traffic we were going 50 mph had a van next to us that wouldn't pass. We'll needless to say we ran over this pretty flat peace of metal with a little edge up and as it was under us it sliced our fuel tank. I called around in a panic Dogde couldn't guarantee anything and no help. Then I saw online Dan at Parkrose Auto and Truck. This man went above and beyond. He guaranteed we could leave on Friday, this happened on Wednesday. We waited 4 hours for our tow truck and Dan waited for us to drop off the truck. His prices are reasonable and Dan is so nice and like I said he goes above and beyond for his customers.

Needed the AC fixed on my truck mid-summer just before a big trip. Parkrose Auto went above and beyond to diagnose and fix the issue extremely fast. Performed the service at a competitive rate and spent time to explain how they solved the issue and answered all my questions in detail. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to both me and my wife. This is my new go to spot. Highly recommend.

This shop is VERY informed on the emission system maintenance needed for Ford, GMC/Chevy, and Dodge diesel trucks. The turbo vanes on my 80,000 mile 2016 GMC Duramax 2500 were not opening properly due to emission debris. (Another shop wanted to replace my turbo for $5,000!)After discussing the problem with Dan, he tapped into the turbo and cleaned the vanes to operate properly, conducted a diesel emissions system treatment, and a synthetic oil change. Truck engine now operates like new, engine code P 003A no longer appears, and out the door for $ 1500 bill. Many thanks for your great service!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

We were on our way to the Oregon Coast from Idaho in our RV when we heard noise coming from our engine. After calling two RV dealers to find out that they did not work on engines and calling to Ford dealers who were too busy and would not even look at our RV, the second Ford dealer gave us the name and phone number for PARKROSE AUTO & TRUCK REPAIR.Dan Molner diagnosed the problem quickly, which turned out to be a major problem. We left the RV with them and fortunately we were towing a vehicle and had a way home.Throughout the process of getting a new rebuilt engine shipped and installed I was kept informed by Michael of the status along the way. After completion I flew to Portland and drove the RV back to Idaho, at which time I discovered there was a problem with the transmission.Long story short, I took the RV to a local truck repair shop and PARKROSE AUTO & TRUCK REPAIR stood by their word and their warranty and covered the cost of repair. I felt when I met Dan that he was very trustworthy and he has more than proven that he definitely is!Service: Engine repair

A couple of months ago, my 97 Toyota Corolla developed a crack on the radiator. I tried a couple of products readily available at any auto-parts store, and they fixed the leakage, but only temporarily. Given that the car is over 20 years old, and having had a couple of pretty bad experiences with my last repair shop, I found myself debating whether to get the radiator replaced, or if I should start looking for a new car.I called three places and got a pretty decent quote from Dan. I made an appointment for the next day at 9 am, and was told that my car would be ready by the end of the day, the same day. That was perfect for me because I work evenings. When I got there, I was very pleased to run into the guy delivering my new radiator.Around 1:00 pm, I got a call from my boss asking me to come in earlier that day. I made my way to Parkrose Auto & Truck, hoping for the best. Dan was surprised by my early arrival. I explained that I was there just so that I could get my car the moment it was ready. In spite of being a busy Friday at the shop, Dan prioritized my car a bit, which got me to work on time. I was also pleasantly surprised to be charged the estimate I was quoted over the phone. I think I'll be holding on to my old Corolla for a while longer. I strongly recommend this place.

I ve had these guys work on my 2004 Dodge Diesel for virtually since it was new. I ve always felt that I was given good information on its condition, and what it needed. Several times the price turned out to be somewhat higher than originally talked about, but this was because of extenuating circumstances that were no fault of theirs or mine. If your going to drive one of these high powered self destroying machines, you have to resolve to pay the price for repairs. I don t like that part any better than the next person, but have always felt that Dan and his crew have given me good information and left the options to me as to how much was to be done. They may emphasize that some items need immediate attention but have always been fair and above all else HONEST. That is worth a whole lot of peace of mind.

I took my vehicle in to find an exhaust leak and they owner spent about an 1hr looking for an exhaust leak he said he could not find no leaks in they exhaust system. I guess my point is that he was totally honest with me about what I thought had an exhaust leak. He could of told me that he found several leaks and changed me several hundred dollars. So I really appreciate his honesty with me. And I eventually used him for another project on my vehicle and did a great job. I would recommend this auto repair business anytime.

Inquired if they would do a pre-buy for a used diesel truck and fit me in a few hours later. Dan took 2 hours out of his day to do a very thorough inspection and educated me on the items he was looking at as well.I found them to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable and if I was closer I would use them as my service shop.

My husband's car broke down in the parking lot of the office next door, so it made sense to have these guys work on it. We initially thought they were pretty helpful, but their true colors came out after two failed repairs and a tow for which they charged us, even though we hadn't agreed to pay for it. We spent over 5 hours waiting for a tow after their first repair; after the second "repair" a related part stopped working entirely and my husband was stranded yet again for over an hour. When we called to ask them (politely) to refund the towing charge and the second repair (we didn't even ask for the first round back, since we assumed they had actually attempted to fix the car--we just wanted what was fair) the owner copped an attitude with us and refused to make ANYTHING right. He was extremely rude. Too bad--we like to patronize locally owned businesses, but we certainly wouldn't go back to this one, even if our car broke down in the parking lot again!

I would never recommend this place to anyone, we towed our van to him out of the thinking he will fix it for a reasonable price, a week later he called with pretty high estimate which we refused to do at his shop, and we decided to pay him for his time took looking at it, as he mentioned it didn't take him more than 2 hours, but still he charged $232 for the diagnose, he said his HOURLY RATE IS $190 !! Which never heard of a mechanic charged! Even if he charged that he should be clear about it upfront not scamming people. I am going to find out if that even Legal.Take your business else where.

My Grumman P-30 food truck lost its engine in Portland. Dan and crew saved us. He and his team saved us by replacing our engine and it works great. He did this all in a reasonable amount of time in a very honest and proffesional way. Thanks Dan.

I bought a truck from Horizon Auto and it had a burned out taillight, so they sent me down to you guys to replace it. I had taken the train down from Seattle and didn t want to take a chance on a long dive. A young guy named Spencer (I think) replaced the bulb and I asked if he could also replace the drivers windshield wiper and check the tires. Turns out they were low. He aired up the tires, replaced the wiper, and sent me on my way. No charge!

I was highly recommend to Dan and his team, they did not let me down. I brought my truck in for a pre purchase inspection. I got a no bull review of the trucks mechanical health that put my mind at ease.

I had estimate and price was set over the phone I gave him all information and as I was talking to him price was going up and up as we spoke. When I dropped off the vehicle, he called me back a week laker and was asking for new price ($400) more and refused to provide warranty. btw when he called he was already a week behind the schedule. The day I was supposed to pick it up. Pain in the but.

I called and spoke with Dan Molner, the owner, in mid winter for work on my RV, I did get a $3500 estimate on a valve job, was told I was scheduled for spring, and would get a confirmation call. I never received a call, and when I called I had been dropped from the calender. Back on the calender today...stay tuned and see how it goes.
