This place is legit. To be 100% honest, I was skeptical of a gas station mechanic shop but I received nothing but great service, especially from Jason!They had a thorough Intake to make sure that you and them are both on the same page and keep in communication with you via text throughout every step of the way.They re honest because they didn t charge me for something they didn t do/need to do, etc even though they could easily have.They have my trust.So yes I will be coming back for future services and if you re reading this, you should too!

It's great to have a mechanic you can trust. Jason and his team are friendly and honest; they are realistic about repair priorities and do not push for less necessary services when faced with more serious problems. I've been taking my Subarus here for years with no regrets.Their electronic inspection reports are easy to understand and very clearly indicate which issues need to be prioritized. The reports are very useful for maintaining a log of your vehicle's status over the years.They are up-front about how long repairs may take, making it easier to plan accordingly. They've even given me rides home after dropping off my car!They also have an excellent warranty program.I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Multnomah Automotive!

I take my Ford Focus here for gas and any and all work that needs to be done! Jason and his team are friendly and most of all I feel like I get honest work and prices, he takes the time to explain what needs to happen in a friendly and professional way. I've never had to take the car back for rework! You can tell as soon as you pull into the station that this place really cares about quality, it shows in the way they keep the establishment and grounds clean and I always feel safe there. I can not say that about many gas stations/shops in the Portland area. Multnomah Automotive has a small town feel, great staff and I highly recommend it!

Typically not super fond of the whole mechanic thing, necessary as it is, due to the bedside manner (or lack of) of far too many shops, but I had my hands tied since my poor little beater needs all four tires to drive. The guy working the desk came out to see if he could fix it real quick, but it wasn't going to be the case. He was super chill and the process was ultimately painless, I didn't get his name, but I appreciate his customer service and of course the techs for getting my car in and out nice and quick.

I bring my car here for repairs, she's old and creaky but Jason always takes great care of her and I always have an itemized list of what needs to be done and what should be done with a timeline for repair. Their work is backed by technet, so if you need roadside assistance for the following year you're good to go. These guys are awesome and I always have a great experience with them, I won't take my car anywhere else. Very friendly, reasonable pricing, and fast turn around on repairs.

Multnomah Automotive did an outstanding job with my 4runner headlamp assembly. Their service is top notch professional and transparent. I appreciated that they communicated with me during the service regarding the LED light assembly to ensure that I received quality customer service. My driver side bumper got some TLC and looks amazing! Thank you James and Jason.

5 stars seems inadequate for Multnomah Automotive. I first had my car towed in after Beaverton Honda didn't provide proper care in the first place, for years in a row. I was emotionally a wreck and Jason was so incredibly kind. I admittedly do not know much about cars. Jason never once mansplained things to me and didn't make me feel like an idiot for driving with no oil in my car. Jason told me what the process was and gave me a reasonable timeline. He checked in often via text and phone to give me updates. Within a week my car was repaired. I had made no appointments and was never a previous client - he had to get an entirely new engine. Which works great I must say!Since then, Jason has regularly conducted follow ups to see how my car is running or to remind me that I have an oil change coming up. The ability to communicate with the shop via text is a god send. When I took my car in for its oil change, Jason discovered a few things that needed their routine maintenance. He sent me an estimate of those services via text, which is great because I have records of everything online and saved, rather than just on a piece of paper. While the entire amount of maintenance was not something in my budget at the time, he prioritized and told me how we could knock out the rest so it was financially more feasible. I didn't feel lied to or cheated. I paid significantly more to have my oil changed at Multnomah Automotive, but it's worth every penny. They have gained my trust and made me feel like they care, which seems like a big ask these days. So glad that this shop is in my neighborhood. I love being able to walk home after dropping my car off.I truly cannot recommend Multnomah Automotive enough.

I dropped off my 1995 Ford Ranger to be checked out because my odometer doesn't work. The experience was the best I've ever had at a mechanics shop. Not only Jason at the front desk is thorough in his explanations, easy to talk to, and patient with all my questions, but the shop also produces an inspection report complete with pictures that they send to your phone! So you can review every thing they looked at and all the problems they found, then decide what to do. Jason explained odometer is hard to fix because part is no longer produced, and he even looked on eBay for salvaged parts. They are not pushy, but can recommend what to fix first. If you do fix something they sync the work with CARFAX which helps with resale value. Top notch customer service. Highly recommended!

Multnomah Automotive provides excellent service. I was referred through AAA for a certified mechanic and they have more than exceeded all expectations in their professional workmanship. I would recommend them as my go-to auto mechanic in Portland.

I'd always recommend Multnomah Chevron - I've been bringing my cars here for years: two different Hondas and a Subaru. They are careful and precise. Jason at the front desk explains any problems clearly, and he'll give you cost estimates up front. This is not a dirt cheap shop - you get what you pay for: good service, timely updates, clear description of issues, excellent mechanics.Service: General repairs & maintenance

What a great experience with Jason at Multnomah Automative. I was having trouble getting my new set of wheel covers on, so called to see if they could help. He greeted me and we installed those babies together, no charge for such a tiny job. He is very much into being a "small town shop" in the city. A great vibe. I will bring my car there for its next oil change. Made my day!

Let me tell u I just moved here and car troubles fell on my lap and what I can say they got my car mini black running smooth, I can t tell u how thankful being referred here by a coworker, they have discount s and programs for there customers, will always bring my car here for my service needs. The work I had done on my car was motor mounts and I have had a wreck prior to service and it was fixed by a back yard mechanic and they got me right and was honest ppl no one likes car issues but if u want to stay rolling , bring ur car to these guys and bar 3 is a good place to eat . Sometimes u got to pay but worth every dime my baby feel brand new again and I still need work done , thank you guys for bn the best at what u do!!!!!! I am feelin safe again

I got excellent service at Multnomah Automotive. I came in for a second opinion. They performed a thorough assessment and re-evaluated everything the dealer identified. They found out what was accurate and inaccurate. They provided me with explanations for the work done and updated me regularly on issues. My car needed someone who would carefully diagnose an engine issue. They figured it out and fixed it! They were timely in the repairs. In addition, Jason is an amazing staff. His customer service is impeccable. I was heard and treated respectfully. These guys are trustworthy and really care about their customers. Extremely friendly, fast, and thorough care. They fixed up my headlight and did a full diagnostic all within several hours, detailing many things to plan for future repairs, rated by severity. Jason was very nice, also talking me through what he thought I should address in future visits and what kind of costs I might want to think about budgeting for. They also adjusted my bumper which had some minor damage after fixing the headlights without any charge or mention. They are the best!!! They could've charged an arm and a leg, but didn't. They are integral, and good people. I'm a teacher, and we had a hard week at home. Mike's genuineness, and integrity, were very timely, and appreciated. We will go to the shop again and again.

Very satisfied with my first time experience. I was able to get an appointment on the day with just a call. They started working on my car immediately with detailed and accessible report and very reasonable repair cost. Very prompt and polite at every interaction. I had an absolutely wonderful experience! I came to Multnomah Automotive for a vehicle inspection and oil change. They communicated swiftly via text and provided an online inspection report for viewing. I requested some specific repairs based on the report and asked them to proceed. As they begun their work, they recognized that one of the repairs was no longer necessary. I received a call informing me of this, which saved me $200+. I really appreciate and respect that they were honest in their work and their communication. Avoid this shop. They will always have an opening but don't take it. They will be very nice until you question anything and then they will become condescending and even threatening. I ended up paying to have my car towed from them to another shop after their faulty service, escalating charges and inability to fix the issues they had created. (The other shop resolved things immediately and professionally.) Further, they will not do right by you if they do mess up your vehicle. In fact, I spent hours in negotiation with the shop owner to get him to cover partial costs for the mechanic I had to use when his shop messed up my car. He did all he could not to cover this small charge including telling me that if he did reimburse me at all for his own shop's mistakes I had to agree to not write an honest review! In the end, I am relieved to be done with them but suggest you save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

The service we have received from this shop is unmatched. Scheduled with ease, flexible drop off and pick up arrangements due to being attached to a gas station. When the vehicle analysis and recommendations were complete, I was notified via text message link. I was able to view the most detailed vehicle inspection report I've ever seen with photos. Being mechanically na�ve, it even prioritized the work for me. They are my neighborhood go-to mechanics, just blocks away here in the Village and recently just did a ton of long-delayed maintenance and repair items with a thorough inspection, identifying and prioritizing needs of my 10-year-old Kia Soul. Got it in fast, got all things we prioritized done and all things identified for the future. Good job.And---I can walk there and back. Our neighbor who writes car reviews for the Tribune takes his personal rigs to them too and agrees that they are an excellent shop.

This was my first time getting my C-Max repaired at Multnomah Automotive. Jason who manages the shop was great, took time to listen to my car issues and explained plainly how they d diagnosis then contact me with price, etc. They were quick & timely with text updates. And when it came to fixing the car, a new part wasn t necessary as originally thought and they could repair it saving on the final bill. I am sure to take my old, high miles 4Runner to them eventually. Overall a very positive experience that got me back on the road in a day.

All the folks down at Multnomah are extremely kind and friendly. I recently had my catalytic converter stolen which is fine as annoying as it has been loud. I worked primarily with Jason who spent extra time going through all the options with me and making sure I understood everything about the issue and the repairs. This excellent customer service translated both over the phone and in person. The service was exceptionally fast, and I was able to get an appointment right after calling. This was great in comparison to other body shops I called which couldn t even look at the car until next week. Jason invited me into the store right away, but assured me that the repairs will be done in one day. Additionally Jason worked with me to ensure that my car remains up to California road standards. Definitely recommend the shop if a you re looking for 1) friendly customer service, 2) be you want and affordable rate and 3) you need a speedy repair. Other shops in the area gladly offered BY PHONE, their estimated costs for a simple car repair... whereas Multnomah Automotive / Chevron refused. The manager then insultingly asked my wife to, "have your husband call me." If you re looking for a place to take your vehicle for repairs/maintenance, stop. You found the spot. Multnomah Auto is staffed with hard-working, honest, and knowledgeable employees. Jason and his team were friendly and approachable. Vehicles and vehicle maintenance are like a foreign language to me, but Jason always took the time to explain things to me when I asked. 2020 visit: Took our new to us 2010 Honda in for inspection of mystery noises. The inspection was thorough and the online report with notes, photos, and videos was fantastic and something I ve not seen from any of the other shops (including dealerships) I ve been to. While fixing everything would have been expensive, the detailed report and the service advisor (Jason) helped to prioritize the work that needed to be done first. Overall excellent service! We ll be taking our car back in a few months to tackle the next item on the list (shocks and struts).2022 visit: It wasn't a "few months" but we took the 2010 Honda to take care of the next issue left over from our first visit. The team did a great job going back over the service notes, they fixed the problem and our car is running better than ever! What a great shop!
