I've been taking my 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora to Morgan for several years. They always do an excellent job, and the car is always ready when they say it will be. Recently my dashboard lights burned out, and they were able to find a duplicate replacement dashboard -- now, it's good as new. Very dependable service.

Great place. Straightforward, personable, quick, knowledgeable. Everything you could ask for when it comes to car repair. They always answer questions for me and give me good recommendations. Repairs always turn out well and I can't recommend them enough!

Came in on a pretty tight budget having just (perhaps unwisely) bought a 30 year old car for cheap. I asked them to perform an inspection and let me know what it would take to fix a couple other specific items.Within a few hours of dropping the car off, Thomas had provided me a breakdown of everything they found/recommended be addressed, as well as (totally reasonable) pricing for them to fix each item.Being on a budget, I asked them to handle some of the more challenging items and let them know I would take care of the rest.Two business days later, I got a text saying the car was ready. I brought my 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora to Morgan's after two other shops gave up on it. Thomas read the records, and when I asked if he thought the car was reparable, he said, "We fix everything that comes in here." That proved to be true. Thomas looked deeper than anyone else and discovered a wiring problem. He returned my car in such good shape that it passed DEQ, which was the ultimate goal! Two months later, I was sailing along a bit too happily when I wrecked a wheel on a curb and broke part of the frame. AAA was barely able to tow it to Morgan's and said the car was totaled, but Thomas came out and agreed to take on the repairs. He helped me at a time of urgent need, found the rare parts, and again brought my car back to life. I will never forget his extraordinary diagnostic ability, skill, and generosity, for I'm sure he didn't charge for the full value of his work. A gem of a place to have your car repaired. Honest, reliable and on point with my Prius. The dealer quoted me 3 time the amount to repair the vehicle, so I was happy with the quote I received from Morgan Auto Repair. They did excellent work, were friendly and so easy to work with. Left my vehicle cleaner than when I left it! Highly recommended!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Thomas, an engineer there is so knowledgeable and competent. He was so transparent about what was wrong with my car and texted me about what he will do to fix it and the price. He is an amazing engineer! I will always consult with him about my car.

Great experience. They were super fast and the price was right. I ll definitely be back!Edit: I have indeed been back a few times, and wish I could give them 6 stars. They re not cheap, but it s honest, fair, high quality, and everyone who works there is very competent and very friendly! I recommend them to everyone.

30 Years in the car business I've dealt with a lot of service departments including Mercedes and BMW. Although having a large service department doesn't mean you'll have a great experience most of the time they treat you like a number.On the other hand Bryan at Morgan's Auto Repair and the rest of his employee's treat you like your their only customer. They are truly respectful of your time wither it's a small job or a warranty claim.Their prices are very fair and will keep you informed about the status of your repair.They may be small but you will feel like your number one.Do yourself a favor and call Bryan the next time you need a repair on your car you won't be disappointed.

Awesome experience. I was buying a car sight unseen and Brian was very accommodating. He did all the recommended repairs before I head out on a 20k mile.road trip at a very reasonable price. He was recommended to me by the previous owner of the vehicle and I can see why that owner takes all their cars their for service. Excellent customer service and just great to work with. Highly recommend if looking for a trustworthy affordable mechanic in Portland.

Always enjoy the service at Morgan s Automotive. The entire staff are friendly, prompt and courteous.I feel totally confident that the work on my car is going to be done responsibly and at a fair price.Bryan, the front desk person, is amazing. He is always welcoming and is happy to make recommendations if I have a question.I m never happy to need a repair on my car and Morgan s takes the pain out of that!

I ve taken my car here many times and had great service. Recently the service manager retired and the new one is kinda arrogant. I had a bunch of work done and when I got it back there was a small problem. When I took it back he made it seem like I was clueless and didn t understand. I ve had thousands of dollars of work done there but never again. Customer service has gone way down hill.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Thomas, Bryan and the crew at Morgan Automotive have kept my '04 Jeep on the road for me, well past its prime. They provide exceptional workmanship, honesty and integrity (which is a characteristic trait lacking in quite a few businesses these days). I appreciate these folks and will always recommend them to others.

I have been taking my cars to Morgan Automotive since I moved to Portland 8 years ago. They have been consistently respectful in their communication with me and reliable in their service. Bryan goes above and beyond to ensure I understand the work they do and the problems my car has. I live in north Portland now but continue to take my car to them for even just oil changes because I like them so much. The absolute best in the business. If I have to use someone else, I cringe because there s no one even close. Morgan s integrity, communication, and ability to solve issues and keep your car in ideal shape is unparalleled. I drive pretty far out of my way to use them every time.

Morgan Auto is an awesome shop, all-around. I lived nearby for 4 years, and took my 1998 Jeep Cherokee to them for all work. Brian always treated me fairly and courteously. He provides excellent communication about costs, scheduling, and does a great job explaining their work. If you're looking for an auto mechanic in SE Portland, I can't recommend anyone better!

Morgan Auto Repair is top notch shop with excellent customer service going above and beyond making them the best mechanics in town! The owner Thomas Morgan is a gem, he is honest and very professional. He and his entire team are very thorough and do not try to sell you unnecessary parts for your vehicle. In fact, they even recommended to get parts from a different location for my truck and went with me to make sure they were the accurate parts needed for my truck for a better price which they found without me even asking. Not only did they do that, they stayed helping me after hours making sure I had a safe reliable truck to drive that I desperately needed at the time. Another time I went out of town for a two month long road trip and came back and put my key into my truck breaking it in half accidentally. The owner Thomas Morgan personally drove to my house to help me fix my key in my own driveway as I wasn t able to drive my truck to their shop at the time due to my broken in half key. They are genuine people and have integrity which is very rare in the mechanic world. I recommend Morgan Auto Repair shop with the highest regard.

These ppl were very professional and nice. However.... I had two issues with my SUV. One was the a/c had quit working. They fixed that. I was happy with that part.The other issue was a water leak such that I had to have the vehicle de-molded at an auto detailing place first. I had already taken it in to another place a few months ago and they said it was the sunroof. The other place cleaned the drains but a few months later it was leaking again. This place AGAIN cleaned the sunroof drains! WHY? I assumed they were right even though I live on a very clean street and it seemed strange. I paid for it anyway. The next rainstorm it was leaking again! So why did they re-do the same thing and charge me when it didn't work.. and I told them that when I brought it in? I finally took it to another place.It turns out it was faulty vapor seals in the doors as well as the back window seal was cracked. I don't know why Morgan Automotive didn't investigate further than the already flushed sunroof drains when I had told them those were just cleaned.I would trust then for general auto repair, but go to a leak specialist for water leaks. They're difficult to diagnose.

The best and most honest car repair shop in Portland. They treat you with total respect, and they never talk down to you. Brian will set you up like a pro. Been going there for 5 years.

This guys are the best! I'm so happy that I came exactly to them! They helped me with my Honda issue and I want to tell special thanks to Bryan! Morgan Automotive was really fast and professional, they fixed my car in 20 minutes.I highly recommend this service center. You will get good service and good deal!!!! This is auto shop that you can trust.

Scheduled an appointment at Firestone for oil change and other general maintenance. Person on the phone was rude and seemed annoyed to be talking to me so I cancelled.I called Morgan Auto and experience was night and day. Exceptional customer service from scheduling through repair, to pickup. Prices were transparent and fair. Found my new auto shop in Portland.

I really appreciate everything they did. My CEL started flashing on Friday night and I was looking for a shop that s open on Saturday with good reviews. I called Morgan Auto and told him what was going on and he said to bring it right in! He read the codes and told me how much it would be to diagnose it and told me he would call me later today. I asked him questions about what he thought was going on and he seemed to know plenty and made me comfortable leaving my car there. And even offered to drive me home because I lived pretty close by. I was very impressed! It turned out to be a fairly simple fix and he kept me in the loop about what was going on and the costs. I really appreciate everything they did and I got my car back same day.

Brian and the team are some of the best automotive technicians around. What makes them the best? Integrity, honesty and the amount of time and effort they put into quality repairs and proper explanation. I ve owned my own shop and been in the car industry for over 25yrs. I choose Morgan because of their integrity. If they cannot fix it or it is beyond their scope, they will tell you and not use it as an opportunity to squeeze diagnostic money out of you only to tell you to take it somewhere else.These guys have my vote and ALL of my referrals , for the stuff they can and do work on anyway ;).Thanks Brian!!

I took my Buick in due to a variety of reasons. Bryan was extremely helpful and informed me that the problems were likely under warranty and directed me to the dealership. He was honest and correct and has earned my business moving forward. I highly recommend their services for anyone experiencing car trouble. A+ service and thank you!

I've been going to Morgan for over 10 years and I can tell you they are the best! Bryan will do everything he can to get your vehicle fixed for as low cost as possible, and they don't try to heap on a bunch of unnecessary repairs. Finding Morgan Automotive has been a godsend. They are kind, intelligent and willing to talk and help you understand and think through options in a way that other shops have not been. They are totally up front and honest about everything. They helped me think through options and talked to me on the phone several times. They were also super empathetic about my situation. I will not go to any other shop in Portland, now! My car got smashed pretty badly while parked and, because it was close to their shop and they felt bad for me, they kindly ran by to take a look at my car and give me their opinion. They were honest and made sure I was aware they wouldn't know for sure what to do until they took a look at it. They fit me in almost immediately and were willing to talk regularly to help me understand what was going on and what they had discovered. They even helped me decide whether to abandon the car or find a way to get it back on the road. There was no pressure, just understanding and knowledge. They fixed it affordably for me and I have since taken in my other car and been served wonderfully. No pressure or mysterious charges. Great advice, honesty and excellent, high-quality work. I couldn't be happier!

Morgan s Automotive is a great place to have your car serviced. I always have my oil changed here, as I believe in having a shop that knows my car and its history. Like any shop, they give recommendations of what my car needs, but it always feels proactive. I have never had a car break down on me, and I believe that is because Morgan gives really good advice on what service my car needs, to which I take seriously.
