Honest and trustworthy folks. I have taken two older model vehicles to them and they made me feel safe driving them again. Will return for any future work needed.

They are professional and easy to approach. I towed my truck there not having any knowledge of the operation, as a customer. They were understanding and willing to take my work and completed all the required services to get me back to driving again. The performed many upgraded repairs and even when I added additional requested services they were easily open to completing all those extras. And the work was very well done. They are a Top Of The Line, operation. 5* stars.

Top above the line with skilled 4x4 trained mechanic and excellent productive shop. They repaired my truck after winter damages wore the bearings and seals and got me in , even when they were backed up with lots of other truck repairs to complete. Then, I added more work with schools and brakes to do as well they just kept at it and got it all done.So are, everything is working great. Truck is rolling and stopping and the waiting was hard but once they got to me they were quick and steady at getting me fixed and on the road. I will return here Everytime. They had a full shop and fit me in, then got everything done. And the changes the oil . So thanks.Will be back.

Broke off temp sensor and did not say word. I spent $6000 there last year and will not be back, Tech called and offered to fix it after seeing this. I will give them another chance. Failure to diagnose my transmission issues led to a very scary situation for myself and my family. The owner has assured me they are not at fault, and also that they don't need my business. I would not recommend them to anyone looking to ensure their family vehicle is safe to drive.

I have been a customer of McCollum for over 20 years and it's very sad that the business was sold to a national service that is tarnishing the family name. My Chevy Equinox wouldn't start, after holding vehicle for weeks they replaced battery, we paid and picked up, but next day same problem, wouldn't start. Return it second time, after weeks of waiting they replaced alternator over $1200 for both events. Waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledge when picking up the vehicle. Next time driving same issue! Towed it to another shop and they found problem was key fab the same day and repaired it within days. Sent request to McCollum for partial refund but they replied that they did nothing wrong, saying I only stated it wouldn't start. They left out the details in my description of how the car was acting, which included an issue with the key. Will never return to McCollum for service.

I have always received excellent service here and I have come to expect nothing less. I came in for an oil change and they offered to rotate my tires for free! I know that I will be treated fairly and that they will not try sell me on unnecessary repairs. If I ask for an oil change that is what I get. As a woman it is great to have a place where I feel confident that they will take good care of my vehicle without trying to up-sell me. Thanks again for the great service!

Received a flyer in the mail for a $26 oil change, thought "hey, that's a good deal for these guys. They do a good job." Flyer said to call and make an appointment so I did just that. Guy on the phone was nice and we settled for 3pm thursday. Arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time to learn they don't accept appointments and that I wouldn't get in all day. Really messed up my schedule for the weekend. They've done good work when I go there but because of this incident I will be using another shop for my services. Wasn't great but wasn't horrible, thus the 3 stars.

Awesome shop. Prices are spot on(best quote i got in town to do upper/lower ball joints as well as u joints)Service was completed in a timely manner with a professional business interaction.Picked up my truck and was suprised that they washed it and vacuumed the carpets. I will most certainly be back for any repairs.Thank you Reed.

They have been consistently fair and honest for the 4 years I have taken my car here. Often they convince me not to fix small problems in order to save me money. Very happy with the service.

I truly believe they are very honest, reliable, fair priced, friendly, and they do what they say, I have nothing bad to say about them. I have only found 3 mechanics in my life of 65 years I have trusted in Portland and this place is my third. You couldn't go wrong.

When I took my car in I knew what was wrong and what I wanted them to fix yet they charged me $150 for diagnostics basically just to repeat back to me what I just told them.. then charge double for the part I needed and another $150 for labor so $350 for a $15 part and another 15-20 minutes to put it in WoW I feel really screwed but what can I do.

Honest and communicated with me about my car every step of the way. They even offered me a loaner car so I wouldn't be stranded while they fixed my car. On top of that they even cleaned my car. Great service you made a customer for life.

Most of my 1975 Taurus wagon upkeep and repairs are done at McCollum Automotive. I like that a record is kept of past upkeep or repairs. Saves me from keep receipts in a file. Mike or anyone answers my questions without making me feel foolish. When I don't understand, they're very patient answering me in terms I understand.I appreciate this McCollum Team and recommend them often.Adding to the above review of 8 months ago."Mike gives me the confidence of taking care of my 1995 Ford Taurus."Extra repairs are not tacked on to the original visit. Yet, I get the knowledge of the overall performance of the vehicle. Not only do I get what needs to be fixed in order of performance, but also what's right with the car. I thank McCollum Auto for being honest and thorough.

My thanks to McCollum's, I'm a long time customer who moved out of the area, and now I'm back. I was reminded about McCollum's when I heard their sponsorship on KISN radio, I knew I had to write this and return. Sad to say while I was gone, I missed the passing of Dave McCollum, the founder and a great guy. RIPRecently my wife had her car repaired at the Foster body shop, great job guys. I'm returning for mechanical work at the 82nd shop, Caddy has issues, and I know Reed and the crew will take good care of my car. Thanks ...go Big Blue M

My niece took her truck to them BEFORE she bought it, they said it was great, but need a couple hundred to get it up and running perfect. She took it to them this am , they still have her truck and are trying to make her pay BIG bucks!!! total rip off, I am calling them in the am, which btw is her birthday, should be driving here inthe am to celebrate.

After struggling with my jeep for years with a particular issue and after multiple visits to the dealership with no results to fix the problem I vebrought my jeep to these guys they ve determined it s a sensor that bad. I m hoping they have finally resolved the issue I ve been having for many years

Watch this place they will not accept brand new parts in the Box from an auto parts store to do the work you need done so they can charge you more for their parts and then add an upcharge for profit on those parts on top of it this is the exact same concept of a contractor going down to Home Depot buying windows and then marking them up and charging them to their customers when their customers can go down to Home Depot and buy them and save the money it's a complete scam and definitely a unreputable business they made do good work that there is no question but with the rising cost of housing and everything else in the area double charging people is not the right answer

Replaced my leaking rear pinion seal and serviced the differential on my truck. They stuck to the quote and got it done when they said they would.

Affordable parts as well as good quality. Customer service wasn't bad either. In fact the customer service was excellent.
