So useful. Turned out it wasn't our transmission. Another mechanic had misdiagnosed us. Marty's fixed most of the problem from a chip reset... And charged us nothing. And referred us to a good place to be certain. Highly reputable and trust worthy business

UPDATE: had to take my car back because the issue with the check engine light continued. My main problem was communication. I like to know what s going to be done in my vehicle and how much it would cost me and decide from there. I got another bill for an oil change and checking leaks for $150 when I just paid almost $1000 for the same issue.Manuel did a great job on my car. I needed to pass the DEQ, he was able to take my car and do the test for me. I was happy that he also did some extras, like, straightening the front grill of my vehicle. Would definitely recommend him.

Previous work I had done went great. This time, very frustrating. I was getting a exhaust gasket and a sway bar fixed. I received a call asking if I had a spare key, because he misplaced the one I had left with them. I said I would find my spare. Next day he said he'd found it. I was told my car would be ready at 12 noon. I arrived at 2:30 pm, thinking it was done. It wasn't. They hadn't even started. It had been there 3 days already. Then I was told I needed tires too, I agreed. Was told they would bring me my car, but 7pm. . It was my Birthday and I was in the middle of moving. 730 I called and was told he'd fallen asleep in my car , and would finish up. Bring it the next morning. I had called and texted several times, no answer. Finally got ahold of them. He promised I'd get a great discount for all the b s. I received a $50 discount, which for the inconvenience was paltry. I'll never do business with them again. When I asked if my sway Bar was replaced, they dodged the question and kept talking about tires. Sway Bar had not been replaced, they just fixed the housing. $500.00 for 2 tires and an exhaust gasket and housing. I was quoted $200, without the tires. It should have been $ 400.Horrible business practices

I have had nothing but great experiences going to Marty's Transmission. I have been going there for about 2 years now and he is quickly becoming my "Go-To" mechanic for any issues with my cars. He has worked on both my cars (Ford Explorer and Pontiac G6) for a variety of issues. I think he provides timely service at a reasonable price; but what I truly appreciate is that Marty takes the time to educate me on specific issues and common problems with both my cars as well as things to look for and preventive maintenance.I highly recommend Marty's Transmission for any issue your car is having!(I do not work for Marty's Transmission in any capacity, nor have I been paid for this review. Marty simply asked me if I would provide a review and I gladly said I would)

It s refreshing finding a mechanic that diagnosed my problem and fixed some minor issues while troubleshooting. Didn t just start replacing parts to rack up a huge bill. Ended up being a bigger issue than I anticipated and decided on selling the truck and upgrading sooner than expected.I will be returning with any future transmission issues knowing he runs his business the good old fashion way of providing quality service and word of mouth from happy customers.

The work on our car was performed in a timely manner. Marty extended a fair price for the work that was contracted on my vehicle. He didn't attempt to sell me anything else. Completely honest.

Brought my car in after receiving an estimate over the phone. Not only did he fix what I needed but my car feels so much better now. Like I was told by someone who referred me, honest guy that does great work. Definitely returning for any future transmission issue.

Best mechanic I have ever dealt with in my life and I have dealt with many. Never have a met a mechanic so honest and upfront. Marty not only tested the car to see what his computer said was the problem, he also listened to what I was saying and took the time to diagnose the problem. He charged me $50 initially to test the car, which is $50 less then anywhere else I have ever gone. Then I brought it back the next day for him to do more diagnostics on it because he wasn't convinced about what the computer was telling him. When he found the problem he ordered the part I needed and I picked up the car for the evening making a plan to drop it back off in the morning for him to instal the new part, he charged me nothing that day. All said and done the following day he changed me $74.00 (50 for the part 24 for labor). I am a young women who knows nothing about cars and I could have easily been told this part cost way more than it did or I could have been told that it took hours to install and I would have had no idea. My car is driving so much better and I am so thankful for Marty's skills, honesty and ethics.

Marty helped us in a time of need. Car runs great! It is hard to find honest and reliable mechanics these days so I am glad we ran across Marty's shop. I appreciate all the knowledge he shared with me about transmissions. Highly recommend this shop!

Transmission blew up on my Ford van. He did a great job rebuilding it without taking any shortcuts. The price was reasonable and he took the time to educate me on proper maintenance. I d go there again if I needed to, but let s hope I don t have to.

I got my transmission done 2 years ago. Only put 1000 miles on it if that. Now my shift kit will not shift correctly. So I called Marty and he came up with any and every excuse. I tried making an appointment due to the fact that I moved to Washington. Tried to make an appointment to bring the vehicle in on a Saturday. Marty told me if I came down and he was there he could look at it if he made it into his shop.I spent over $1000 dollars and this mf won't make an appointment for his customers! Bad business

Home of the Scam. Brought my Hummer in for a rebuild. When I first called I Felt as though I was bugging him. He came recommended But obviously the guy the recommend him is either a super good friend of his or likes being taken advantage of. When I dropped it off I told him I wanted an estimate of repair, and of course I did not get one. I in fact never got a callback The four times I asked him to call me back. He seemed knowledgeable and he probably is. But he prays on the people he thinks doesn't know what they're doing. The fourth time I called him come to find out. My car was done the bill was a lot higher than I thought it was going to be But no big deal. When I was driving it home it got to about 170, I called him but I live clear on the other end of town. he wanted me to bring you back that night and he already knew I was leaving that night on vacation so I couldn't, but I assured him I was not driving the car except to bring it back to him the following weekend. Well the week came and went, I showed up on Saturday morning like I supposed to and he acted like he had no idea who I was and that I was really bothering him. He said it was running hot because I had a misfire, Which is not the case I've never had a misfire. Long story short I got 20 miles out of my $2100 rebuild. I call him about the warranty, he said he was not going to pay for any tows which it was two. One to my house and one do his shop. I was seven blocks from my house which is why it went to my house I had no idea whether not he had a night drop. At first I was going to be bring it tohis shop but I had mixed emotions specially after his claims about the misfire. After talking to the GM master tech I felt better taking it to him and having him investigate the build which he offered to do free because he hates shops like this. When I called around to some of the GM shops and other transmission shops most of them thought it was a prank phone call. when they found out I was being serious about what he said it was a missed that took out my transmission they couldn't stop laughing. So it is now at the Chevy dealership having an investigation teardown. One gentleman told me that the common play book for some of these backwood shops is to only replace every other clutch plate so they could do to build with one kit And given the fact that my transmission was a 65E one of the sought after transmissions, they usually take out my guts and put in a 60 E guts in which would explain why it died. As well as the fact that the cooling system is non-serviceable it must be replaced. They're pretty sure there is some foul play But as of right now I'm paying for yet another rebuild and will more than likely be taking him to court in the future. Whatever you do do not expect one phone call back from this ass hat. Don't except any explanations as to what could or could not happen to your transmission after it's rebuilt. It is really easy to make a car misfire. This coming from a tech at the GM Shop. Also when my Hummer went in all my windows worked my driver side window did not work when it came out my plastic screen on my temperature control unit was broken off. it was a mess, whatever you do find someone else please find someone else. Do not use this guy you've been warned if I could give a -5 stars I would

Tow truck driver recommended Martys and he did a great job on a highly modified diesel truck. He knew exactly what he was working with and put in a custom part that's perfect for me.

Was searching for a shop to build a high performance th350. Guy that answered was rude and lacked of knowledge. Told me he can do it but it won't be cheap . Took my $3000 else where to get it built . Customer service is key
