My faith in Les Schwab has been restored! After three recent bad experiences at the location close to our house, I decided to call the Broadway location instead. From the first phone call, I knew I was in good hands. Unfortunately for my pocket book, I needed a new set of tires due to a sidewall nail puncture, but the crew was super helpful with pricing and expertise and had me ready to go in just a couple of hours, even made time to replace the battery asap.Great service, friendly staff!!Thank you so much!

I can't speak more highly of this business. I went in to get my passenger rear tire repaired. Check-in was a breeze and the woman associate who checked me in was nice and all business (clear direction on where to park my car, leave keys etc). When I arrived back at the shop about 40 minutes later I was told that there'd be no charge and I was set. They took out a screw and repaired it for free.I wish more businesses went about their business this way. Smooth operation, went above & beyond for customer. I will definitely be giving these folks my business. You should too.

I just would avoid this specific location! I live near this one and so it's the natural place for me to go for tire stuff and I have been a Les Schwab fan since forever. I don't know if ownership of this location changed in the last few years or not but the customer service here is terrible. Remember the Les Schwab sudden service? Within seconds someone runs out and happily sorts out what you need and gets you into the process. Maybe a long wait but they were still nice about it? Not here. Ever. I have been coming here 2 to 3 times a year over the last couple of years and almost every time I leave. Today I walked in, no one said a thing to me. A customer checking out was being scolded for not swiping his credit card properly by a woman with black hair. And while I was watching that, a man from inside the bays yelled at me through the window to hurry up and move my car, he needed to pull a car in to a bay and my car was partially blocking (never mind there is no parking there or across the street in the little gravel alley). I'm just done with them. I don't want to feel like an 8 year old child getting scolded at for leaving the front door open. Today I left and went to the location on NE Sandy Blvd at about 29th. So friendly and helpful. 100% the opposite of the horror show at the location off NE Broadway and NE 7th Ave. I have given the NE Broadway location more than enough chances to just be nice: They don't seem to be capable. Done. Go elsewhere. These guys are terrible.

Came here after someone had placed an AirTag on my car and was tracking me, police officers told me the best thing to do was get my car searched good, I called them up and they said they could do it, I show up and the older gentlemen comes out, looks under my back bumper for two seconds with a flashlight, I literally looked 10x harder and longer than this guy did, and states he doesn't see anything on my back bumper and just wrote me off. There was another younger guy working who brought up maybe putting my car up to look more under and he completely ignored his coworker. The lack of concern and care for my safety was absolutely crazy, the amount of being blown off I felt in that moment and like I was making it up was so upsetting, he even made a joke about it maybe being an ex. Thankfully another place actually cared about my safety as a women who lives alone and that my location was being tracked, they took the time to find it for me after this experience.

Wendell at this location is a ROCK STAR! I blew out one of the tires on a loaner car when I hit the curb. I was not having a good day and was stressed out. I came by the shop and a slender woman with very long dark hair behind the counter showed me no love, compassion or empathy and was very matter of fact in her communication with me told me it would be at least 2 hrs (this was already in the late afternoon) and sent me away (no stars for her).Luckily for me, Wendell saw me walking back to the disabled car and asked me if he could help me. I told him the story and explained I needed to return the vehicle but needed the spare put on and that the woman behind the counter told me it would be 2 hrs. He went in and asked his manager Ivan if he could help me and was given the green light! I was so happy and relieved. I told Wendell that he had no idea how much he helped me this was on Thursday 3/14. He s truly a guardian angel and a hero! He took the busted tire off, wrapped it on Les Schwab plastic and got my spare put on so that I could safely return the car. The time Wendell took to help me meant the world to me. I also want to thank Ivan for giving Wendell the permission he needed to help me right then. As for the woman behind the counter, I hope she can treat customers better in the future. She saw how stressed I was and showed no kindness or compassion to me. Fortunately Wendell was there and saved my day! It s employees like him who make me a loyal customer! He truly is an awesome and amazing person! I m very grateful to him. Thank you Wendell!

Just recently took my work vehicle in to have a screw/nail/or some piece of metal pulled from the front passenger tire and plugged.They did nothing about it and the report said they couldn't find it in my tire. Folks I have a picture of the said object in my tire, I also dealt with the flat tire as to get some air in the tire long enough to roll up to their shop.I wouldn't recommend this shop at all. I understand being so busy the wait time is estimated to be almost 3 hours, I work in a trade as well i understand that. The difference is I am trained to do my job with the utmost due diligence and ensure the job was done right the first time to the best of my ability. This was not the best of anyone's ability there. I have been to plenty other Les Schwabs and have been well taken care of. I know you all can do better which is why I am posting here, in hopes that you folks take this to heart and do better.

Used to be my go to place, but they try to sell you tires claiming the tread is worn too much. That was true with an old tire, but the one we brought in today had 5/32" of tread and they claim I need new tires. I won't shop here any more!When I showed my partner the depth of tread with a micrometer, she felt they did it because she was woman and wouldn't know any better.

Took my car in to have the battery charged and checked one morning. Had to call them that evening to check on if it was ready and was told it was. When I showed up I was told I owed $250 for the new battery they put in. No communication whatsoever and when I tried to question it I was told to pay or I couldn't get my car back. On the receipt it say I dropped car off at 8:30 and at 10:00 I authorized the new battery. That is completely false as they never once called me after I dropped it. That also shows they didn't even bother to charge and check my original battery as it would've taken them longer than 90 minutes to do so. Beyond upset about the whole process and lack of any type of acknowledgement or option for me besides having to shell out $250 and they get away with this practice.

I have taken a couple different cars to this location and they always do a great job. And if something doesn t go right they totally take accountability and make it right because they are those kind of people. I definitely recommend going to this Les Schwab location.

Just got new tires, my first time here. Easy getting an appointment, drop off and quick turn around. I loved that. Only to have my tire pressure light (signaling low pressure) come on 2 blocks away. Get home and check the new tires to find they were not filled to the specified PSI amount and were quite low actually. Now I'm having to go get them filled this weekend. Come on man.

If I could give this specific location, no stars, I would give it no stars. The customer service I experienced today at this Les Schwab was ridiculous. And growing up in Northeast Portland right off Broadway and going to this Les Schwab since I was 16 and first started driving , I will never go back to this location ever again I may not ever go back to any location.I work at Emmanuel hospital and Yesterday, when I left work at five, I had a complete flat on the rim with a nail in my tire. I used my roadside assistance and waited for four hours while two Tow trucks no showed. I ended up having to leave my car at the hospital and find a ride home at 8:30. When I got to work this morning, I immediately called my roadside to request another tow truck, when they arrived they were unable to get my spare from under my car, and they filled it enough for me to get to Les Schwab to Have it fixed. When I showed up the gal at the front was extremely cold. I told her I had a flat tire and before I could get the words out of my mouth she immediately told me they were way behind and I could leave my car for four hours or come back later- which is kind of a joke why would I come back? I explained to her my entire situation, and she looked at me with a blank stare, and could care less. I explained to her that if I left my car, I would have to walk back to work because I was on my lunch break, and then walk back after work to pick my car up- and it was raining!!!!! She literally didn t even respond. She just looked at me as if, that s not my problem I gave you your options. I have had nails in my tire before and have had to go to have them repaired and it takes 10 minutes. She was rude and inconsiderate. She didn t even ask them if they could do it real quick. I ended up walking back to work in the freezing, cold rain and walked back. When I got to work and explain my situation to one of my coworkers, she laughed and asked me for a description of the gal at the front when I gave it to her she laughed and said that woman has been there a long time, and she s always unfriendly!! Like I said, I have never in my life had to wait four hours or leave my car to have a nail taken out and my tire repaired. I will never use Les Schwab again. I will use Jay s tire on MLK. They have never done this to me before!!

Drove to the esteemed LesSchweab for an oil change and they Refused my service. I always go to the location on Sandy and they are happy to change it but not this location apparently Will be coming back.

Love these hard working mechanics that stop more important work to assist drivers with a little air. They also pulled a nail plugged the hole and changed me nothing. I didn't deserve all the love. Thanks!!

My car was fine when I went in for new tires but I left with a broken wheel bearing. Went to another location to get it checked and they confirmed, then backtracked when they found out I was just at another Schwab and blamed the transmission. Had to go to another mechanic who replaced the wheel bearing and it's fine now. Les Schwab isn't the same since ownership changed. Just sloppy work.

What a wonderful experience. We are pulling a 42" toy hauler trailer, and the middle tire blew. Pull in and mind you they are a smaller facility. But they made it work. Had a spare so we where in and out in about 20 mins. Did not catch young man's name but what an asset to your company. All very helpful as well. Thank you.

Second time visiting this location and I'm probably more giddy than I should be. They're sooo nice and accommodating here. Nothing feels slimy or underhanded. Last year had all my tires replaced at a good price. This morning woke up to a near-flat from sidewalk puncture. Called 'em up, they saw me right away, fixed in less than half hour and received excellent warranty discount. This is my go-to tire spot in Portland for sure. Friendliness and excellent customer service will win a customer for life.

Superb... customer service! The employees at this store have saved me several times, with helpful repairs. I once had a flat riding by on my way to the freeway. An employee noticed and flagged me down. I got that fixed before something bad happened. Observant Employee. Thank You

I have stopped here on multiple occasions in both cars and on bicycles, and have received equally great service every time. There are no gas stations on NE Broadway that have air for tires (well, one does but it isn't free), and I used to walk my bike to the closest repair shop every time my tire pressure was low. That, or pay several dollars to run the pump at the 76 on NE Grand. Lo and behold! Another option presented itself - the kind mechanics at Les Schwab are selfless enough to offer free air fills if you are in the area and in need. Quick, kind, and cheap as it gets! Many thanks to the guys who've saved my hide and my rims more than a few times

This location was great! We experienced a slow leak in one of our tires, passing through from Spokane to the Oregon Coast. They got us checked in right away, found our valve stem to be faulty, and w/o hesitation, replaced the stem and sent us on our way w/o a charge! Thank you for making a slight delay in our travels, much, much easier!

Lou rocks, Took care of the work car right away got me back on the road to take care of my clients and hes gonna help me with my personal car this guy is so cool. Today December 7th I went in for my personal car oh my gosh , These guys at this Les Schwab rock the heck out of service , They get me the tires that I need for my off roading on my Subaru I can't say enough good stuff. Harold and Mark , And Brad make sure I am on the road safe. Love my guys and girls hello Jane.

Yesterday, I brought wheels and tires into this shop for mounting and balancing. First they called to say they misquoted the price, and it was going to cost 30% more than the original quote. 10 minutes later, they called me again to tell me that my tires were too bald, they wouldn't mount them. I would need to buy new tires.This morning, I went to pick up my wheels and tires. I found them haphazardly stacked in a heavy traffic area, and someone in the shop had noticeably scratched the new paint on one of the rims.Now, I will have to wait two weeks to have the rim re-painted, which they verbally promised to reimburse me for, but wouldn't give me any documentation for until I insisted on it. This company misquoted my cost, damaged my property, and in the end will cost me both time and money.

I've always used Les Schwab in the past and have had great experiences. However this time around the sales person kept trying to pawn tires off on me when I explicitly asked only to have a patchwork done on my tire. Tires were brand new and the mechanics kept trying to upsale me. This place perpetuates the sleezy car mechanic mentality.

Got my brakes done within 3 hours. Mark was super helpful and friendly, and honest about my car's needs. As for some of the younger folks in there, they look at you like you are just a number. I miss the old school friendliness like Mark! Still, highly recommended.
