Had an issue with my catalytic converter. Doug was great and gave me ways to resolve the check engine light issue that wouldn t cost me an arm and a leg. Luckily I live down the street so I was able to walk and grab my car. They were really quick and super efficient. You could tell Doug is great with customer service and tries to interact with the customers. I had my little 6mo old at the time and I think I spent like 30 extra minutes there just talking about kids since I was a new dad. I ll definitely be coming backs

Doug and his family are all great experienced mechanics who I wouldn t hesitate taking anything on wheels to. Straight forward honest guys who won t do any unnecessary work unlike most shops. He s also opening a second location to accommodate bigger vehicles so I ll be taking all my work trucks to him as well.

Great ! Went in and Brandon fixed my old 2001 suzuki swift exhaust system with welds and pipe pieces on the spot with no appointment. Honest prices , cool guys , friendly and helpful down to earth people. Definitely goin back when i need more work done.

Great auto shop! Free inspection and quote (many shops are charging for that now). The mechanics are very kind and polite. Great repair advice...I'm poor and they always tell me what needs to be repaired and what can wait. I always go here first, but I called another shop for a quote on my wheel hub; other shop quoted $160 more than Legacy ($350).

Best mechanic I've ever been to! I've had bad experiences with different shops in the past but Legacy is always so kind and patient and most importantly HONEST! I have high anxiety and this is the only shop where I don't feel extra stress bringing in my car ( cuz car troubles are already crazy stressful!) Plus I believe it is a family run business!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Honest shops are hard to find..if you need exhaust work done, you'd do well to consider letting them do the work, you won't be sorry.

Wow! These guys are awesome!! Highly recommend! I had a difficult situation with my brakes. Bolts were all stripped out. Midas quoted me 30% more for the work.They fixed the problem and had me back on the road in less than 24 hrs. When the work was going to take a couple hrs more than expected Doug called me rt away to keep me in the loop! Incredible customer service!! I'll be referring all my friends for brakes and muffler work.

Honest mechanics doing work at an affordable price. If they aren't overly busy, you can usually drop off and pick up all in the same day. I'm happy to go to these folks regularly when my vehicle needs a fix.Caution: There are curbs between doorways (front door and bathroom) that might be hard to see so watch your step.

Doug and his team are awesome! They ve helped me out with a few issues with my car. They can always get me in the quickest and have the fairest prices around. They don t try to up-sell you and they spend time explaining what is going on. My first choice shop in Portland!

I got exhaust work done here & they had notice one of my tires was low on air and they filled it up for me after the exhaust workCustomer service was really great, I definitely recommend coming here. They re really nice

So grateful to have an honest, fair mechanic in the neighborhood! I've gone to them twice, for brakes and to replace an alternator. Both times repairs were quick, the customer service was on point, and they charged a fair price for the work done. When I started up my car, it sounded like someone was sawing lumber under the hood. I thought it was just the muffler, but my spouse, Dennis, started looking around online, and then called the folks at Legacy (aka Performance Discount Mufflers and Brakes). The ownr spent a lot of time with him, explaining about how and why people steal catylitic converters - because that is what happened. I had a busy weekend planned, including getting my second COVID shot. I called the shop on Friday morning about ten and explained the required task to the owner (he remembered speaking with Dennis). "How soon can you bring the car over?" I told him I could get it there within half an hour. "I can have it fixed for you today." Definitely an expert in the field, and a good businessman. I would return there for any kind of work on my Prius.

I came into the shop to get my fender fixed, upon looking under the hood they found that the body shop who put it on the first time did shotty work.I called my insurance company and the mechanic talked to them explaining the bad work that the other shop did and now its getting fixed for free.I am greatful that Legacy took their time to help explain to my insurance what was going on.AMAZING COUSTOMER SERVICE.you guys rock.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery

I had an issue earlier with a hanging muffler and couldn't fix it by myself, so I swung by Legacy Automotive.
